How to: Remedy Flat Pasty White Skin | L'oreal True Match Blush in True Rose

The Dilemma: Oh-so-flat-and-pale face.

Yes, we all have had those days when we applied just all too much foundation and have that flat white mask of a face. And we just can't remedy it. Or just that we are

But wait... there's a way! (hahaha! I sound like an infomercial)

The Answer: Blush... a natural-looking one should do the trick of eliminating that pasty white skin. Choose a natural looking blush, just the same as the shade that your cheeks shows after a good run or when you saw your crush. :) This will give your skin a healthy glow. Just rememeber to apply sparingly.

But if your want to choose a blush really apt for your skin tone, here's a few tips:

The trick is to giving your face dimension. You don't want a flat looking face, not in real face.. especially not in picture where people can easily post it on the internet..

So for those times that you ran of time to fix your makeup, adding just a tad bit of color can clear things up for you!

My new favorite blush is L'oreal Paris True Match Blush in True Rose.

It has just the right amount of peach and pink that I don't have to worry about my lip color. I've worn this blush with the darkest and palest lipstick I own and it pairs well with both.

It's lightweight, handy and it even comes with a brush and mirror for quick touch-ups when your matte powder just have that tendency to make you look pale and flat. The slight gold shimmer gives a subtle glow that my face has been needing and it really compliments all Pinay skin tone.

Whenever you think that makeup is too much, remember that makeup is just color... and color just make life a little bit wonderful!

Look what I just found. It's something new from Snoe Beauty! It's another addition to their Hair Heroes collection, 'Intense' PM Repair Argan Oil (Moroccan Liquid Gold).

It sure look good with my 5-in-1 Intense Argan Oil Moroccan Liquid Gold Cleansing Conditioner and Honey Olive Clemetine Sulfate Free Shampoo. The moment I saw and smelled it, I knew that it was coming home with me. It smells exactly like it's big sister, 5-in-1 Intense Argan Oil Cleansing Conditioner. I honestly went for that reason to buy it rather than actually looking intensely on how it can benefit my hair. Yes, I am a sucker for good-smelling products.

But do you notice how dry and dull your hair is end of the day? My hair is exactly like that especially since I love washing it. So at night, just before going to bed, I spray a few pumps of the Hair Heroes Intense PM Repair to condition my hair and give back some of the nutrients loss from the harsh sun and stress.

And yes, my hair looks different and it smells good too!

It's major ingredients, Argan and Jojoba oils, we all know is are both great moisturizer to the skin and hair. Argan is becoming really popular lately. I wonder if they will come out with Argan oil body wash. Hehehe!

The only prob I came across with is that this 50ml bottle seems to little for my thick, bleached and dry hair. I may have to hoard on this product!

Tech: Mohzy Loop USB Cable | Charging just becaume chic

Yes, it did! So happy that I finally got the Mohzy loop usb cable! And no it isn't your ordinary cable. First off, it comes in chic designs!

What I have is Daisy. I’m digging the floral art design and the colors scream me. J You got to love oink and teal combination.

But that’s not the only reason why I got this baby! I got this for my two sleek helpers, iPhone and Blackberry. Both have been hard at work to keep me in touch to the world. Thanks to my favorite telecom Globe, I never miss a call, text, tweet, Fb message, BBM or email (although I wish I don’t sometimes. Hehehe!).

But bringing both chargers are just a pain! I forgot my Blackberry charger ons at Jheng’s family house in Bataan and it was such a hassle. It was too expensve to buy a new charger and I didn’t want to rush Jheng’s mom to send the charger (nakakahiya naman). But having Mohzy, all I needed was an adapter with USB connector and I could charge my Blackberry again. It was such a relief.

As a gadeteer (what I fondly call myself, the girl who can’t seem to live with her gadgets), power (aside connection is the next important thing). Getting to charge both my phones, mp3 via laptop or outlet where ever I am.

Despite it being released a few months back, Avon still sent me their February 2012 offering, the Ultra Moisture Rich Rose Lipsticks, endorsed by Miss Universe-Philippines Shamsey Supsup.

Almost twice or thrice a year, Avon comes out with a new version of Ultra Moisture Rich Lipsticks to suit more Filipina lipstick needs. This time, Rose Collection provides intense moisture thanks to "Rose extract and Almond oil that's been known to soften, smoothen and hydrate the lips." - Avon brochure.

UMR Rose Lipsticks came in 10 chic and ultra feminine shades, inspired I'm sure of the many different shades of roses. There's none of your regular ran-of-the-mill brown undertones. The Rose collection is very updated for the season with all the pink, purple and peach hues. If you want the pale pink, peach nude or deep plum, you'll definitely find in this collection.

Most shades are also wearable for everyday and yet it is still quite different from usual shades. I think Avon UMR did a great job in selecting shades for the rose collection. I just love every shade in it!

Packaging wise, compared to the usual black and silver lipstick case, Rose comes in black and metallic one.

Look of the Day: Pink on Pink on Pink

Neutrals' been a friend lately. My skin is so bad I feel like I'm back in puberty stage yet again. So I have to be very careful when it comes to applying my makeup. I can't apply too much or it will cake around the pimples and reddish parts of my face. Bad skin days happens to me a lot now with all the lack of sleep and skipped meals. I'm just glad I'm backed up good skin care regimen.

I did a pink eyes, peachy pink cheeks and pink lips to give my skin that healthy look and keep the focus away from my skin and enlarged pores. Of course, to maintain this look, I needed to retouch at least twice a day as products seems to smear off of my oily face whenever I break out.

I think it's time to talk about skin care. I've been so caught up with all the new makeup that I forget to tell some of the skin care I've been using for the past few weeks. :)

Salon Experience | Hair Philosophie at Tordesillas St. Makati

Was nothing short wonderful.

Just look at the result after spending about two hours inside the sleek spacious salon of Hair Philosophie. The interiors reminded me of those old pre-war buildings in New York with all the bricks and wood work station. It sort of felt like the cast of RENT was about to burst in to do a song and dance number. Yup, it was that roomy.

Still, the salon, despite it being in one of the busy streets of Makati, maintained a kind of sanctuary. It's quiet and unassumingly posh. Definitely something I seek to go to when i'm just about ready to hang myself at work. Nothing like a quick mani/pedi or hair treatment to get me in the mood and forget that my clients are sort of trying to suck the life out of me.

Of course, this visit was an invite from Ria, the salon's PR Rep. She must have felt that my dry thick hair needed a boost. Other than that, she really wanted to showcase what this salon can do for all us working girls in Metro.

From dry and utterly thick wavy hair, I transformed into a what I can say a vavavoom-move-out-of-the-way-Farrah Faucet-bouncy curly hair.

When it comes to going to salons, I feel as if I'm an expert already. I know what I want and not because I'm a snooty bitch who thinks she knows so much or that she's a glorified beauty blogger who knows better than everyone. It's just that I've spent a good amount of time inside different salons and have tried too many treatments that I have a good enough knowledge on what my hair needs.

But I liked to be surprised once in a while. No harsh treatments like hair color, rebonding or relaxing this time. I just needed a color boost that will also lessen the dryness of scalp and the tips of my hair.

Allan, my hair stylist that day, knew exactly what I needed. When he recommended Kerastase Chroma Riche for my hair, I knew already that it was the answer for my currently dry and dull hair. So we proceeded to do exactly that. Allan gave Benjie the task to remove all products off of my hair with a cleansing shampoo. Then after a bit towel drying, Allan applied Kerastase Chroma Riche mask all over my hair.

After which, Benjie encased my hair with seran wrap. Wrapping the hair is crucial as this process opens up the hair and allows the products to seep in more than just leaving it out in the open. Effect is a much softer hair.

Twenty minutes later and quite a lot of fun chikka time with Ria, my hair was rinsed off and it remarkably felt lighter already. No surprise there since Kerastase really does deliver when it comes to their products. No disappointment, just fabulous results.

What was quite the thing was when Allan and Benjie started styling my hair. OMG did I transform. I should know, I've never looked this good. And they only used magnetic rollers on me! Allow me to beckinese and say "Ang shala ko lang!"

I was simply impressed. I never looked this good with curly hair. I usually like mine stick straight because of how crazy thick it is but this gives me a whole new perspective.

Of course, I don't always recommend you to leave all the decisions to your hair stylist, especially when it comes to major hair treatments like coloring, rebonding and perming. Think of going to a salon as a collaboration and a relationship. You need to like the salon and you need to like the stylist and vice versa. It's not a one way street. It's all about consultation and negotiation. They are there for reason and because they are expert. And you are there because you want a change, how big of a chance you want is exactly what they need to know. Open communication is the key. :)

Yes, going to a salon is like any other relationship you have. :)

Hair Philosophie definitely has got the class and style anybody would want in a salon. It's got the impressive interiors, spacious rooms and working stations. Courteous and observant staff who aren't too hard sell on their treatments and procedure.

I do look forward to visiting this salon again, if only to get that perfectly bouncy curls that Allan did for my hair.

Lunch time seems to be a good time to visit since it had the less traffic. I noticed that clients came in around the afternoon already. I suggest having an early lunch and take advantage of a quiet escape at Hair Philosophie.

Shen's Mother's Day Beauty Gift Ideas

Mother’s day is here and it’s sure is fun to just spend more time with mom and treat her like the queen she really is. I may not have a mom to treat to every Mother’s day but that doesn't mean that our tradition will end.

I would usually give my mom something like a book…. Which I now realize was not the best thing to give a workaholic woman. My mother didn’t have an inch of a bookworm in her body and yet I always gave her one.

I should’ve given her a bag full of makeup inspired by spring makeup trends. I could have picked a nice pink lipstick, a rosy blush, highlighter and face powder to keep her face shine-free all day.

Right now, I definitely am recommending you to getting a mommy makeup set. After all I’m sure that most moms out there barely have time to buy makeup with all the things that keeps them busy.

You can also get her a range of skin care or just an eye cream. I can’t remember a time that I didn’t see my mom use a toner on her face or applied some cream on her face. Even when she would sleep in my room, she’d be bringing her night cream with her. But now, I think I would give her an eye cream since she neglected that part.

A bottle of perfume would also make a great gift. My mom was a very good cook but she hated smelling like food. She lavished on scents like Bulgari, Dior and Ralph Lauren. If you’re mom is as addicted to fragrances, you can get her a nice bottle of perfume she can bring with her anywhere.

Other than that, a salon day would be a great treat for her. Treat her for some color or hair care treatment to give her a new look. A mani/pedi would be nice, too.

So yeah, I’m telling you know. If you think that you’re mom needs a gift that she would use everyday. Don’t get her a book. Get her something that will show that you really are paying attention to what she does and that you appreciate everything she do for you.

Actually, don’t wait for another Mother’s Day to show her that any day could be a special day just because you love her so much.

I would give anything to spend another day with my mom. So don’t miss your chance to spend time with yours.

It's Mother's Day!

Happy Mother's Day everyone!!

I usually am sullen during this day. I don't like spending Mother's Day since it makes me nostalgic with the memories of spending it with my mom. I still hurt, I don't think it will ever go away, but I try hard to not put a damper to this special occasion as I consider myself a doting mother to all my pups and is quite eager to celebrate it, too.

And like VMV, I do think we do deserve to glow on this special day... These gift ideas would definitely make her feel oh-so special.

Makes me wish that mom is here to enjoy shopping and some R and R for Mother's Day...

Don't miss out on opportunities to spend time with your mom. Because there's nothing like having a fab day with the one who unconditionally loves you.

If mom was here, I'm sure it's going to be an early morning to hear mass. Followed by breakfast at Deli France waiting for the mall to open. Mom loves to check out Bayo or Kamiseta to shop and then go and get an anti-aging facial. I'd probably be at Natonial Bookstore or Watsons checking out cosmetics. The day would end with me giving her my gift and a late lunch. She'd be a bit eager to go home to not miss her Sunday gossip TV show. Then, she'd prepare a wonderful TV dinner for both of us and just relax for the rest of the night....

I miss you, mommy. I still miss you so much... Happy Mother's Day and I hope that where ever you are, you still get to watch The Buzz. I love you!

Wet n Wild Perfect Pair Lip Wand in Passion Plum | An Almost MAC Rebel Dupe

Wet 'n' Wild Perfect Pair Lip Wand is dual-ended lipstick pen that contains a matching lipstick and a lip liner. It promises to deliver precise application (via lip liner) and provide intense pigmentation to color the lips (via lipstick). The lipstick gives high shine that eliminates the need to use more lip products.

Passion Plum became a favorite because it was near dupe to one of my most coveted lip color, MAC Rebel. But MAC Rebel tends to turn red to hot pink after awhile, Passion Plum leans more on the darker plum red shade. I would say that this one is a good bet if you're leaning towards the villain or kontrobida look.

I never really imagined myself wearing shades as dark as these much less think of actually buying one. But here I actually searched quite a while for a flattering purple-base kontrabida lipstick for myself. And although it isn't fall season, I find that lipstick like this seems to be timeless shade.

Passion Plum definitely makes a statement.

I recommend contouring your face to provide more dimension since the lip color would make your face look when worn alone. Contouring and proper placement of the blush also adds more life to the face, making you look more approachable. Try not to go heavy on the eye liner on the lower lashline but just give enough on the upper ones.

For the evening, you can opt to go on a sultry look by deepening the the crease or doing smokey eyes. I would suggest a darker plum or a prime looks of browns and blacks.

I'm quite happy that I finally found a very flattering deep plum shade that I've always wanted. I seriously thought it's going to be easy but it really wasn't. Many of the available brands in the department stores I've been to barely carry shades as intense and as adventurous as this. The only ones I've seen were Revlon and L.A. Colors. So if you happen to pass by a Wet 'n' Wild counter and you see this, better pick it up. You'll never when a shade like this will come in handy.

Product Review: Lancome Teint Miracle Foundation

It's another foundation review! That's because I just can't get enough of them! My quest for that perfect foundation is never ending... So here I am, showing another promising foundation.

I've tried Lancome Teint Miracle once when they did I a makeover on me and I just fell in love. I've always been drawn to expensive foundation since I've proven that they are the least that gave me breakouts. For a girl who seem to always get breakouts no matter she does, it's crucial for me to use a foundation that won't aggravate my skin condition.

Teint Miracle is Lancome's latest foundation available here in the Philippines. It's has a light coverage that has illuminating properties that makes the skin appear perfect in all kinds of lighting.

Lancôme invents its 1st foundation that helps to recreate the aura of perfect looking skin. Instantly complexion appears flawless and luminous, as if lit-from-within. Perfection through light – Teint Miracle works to help recreate and boost the skin’s luminosity. Immediately the complexion appears flawless and fresher-looking.

With the description, it looks as if it isn't meant for Asian skin, much less a Filipinas. But I'm glad to prove you wrong! It's a great foundation and it just gives that nice even-looking complexion that you'd want for everyday use.

Why I like Lancome Teint Miracle

It's light and doesn't weigh down on my skin
Covers redness, veigns and pimple marks even without a concealer

Lancome Teint Miracle in O-04

O-04 appears too yellowish on my skin that I was scared I got the wrong shade. But when I used it, I was amazed at how it matches my skin and it somehow seem to appear brighter.

Maybe the only downside I can see it that this foundation is not really an oil-controlling foundation. Easily remedied with an oil blotter or your favorite press powder. I like using my Lancome Maquicake.

Teint Miracle looks seriously like a second skin on me. It's amazing how it can give it a subtle glow.

I keep on encouraging you to enjoy makeup and be more adventurous with eye shadow, eyeliner and mascara...

That I realize, I never really talked about how to deal with removing them. After all, makeup and a face that isn't well-cleansed can prevent comedones that can cause cystic acne or other skin problems.

Playing with makeup is going to be so easy when you have a good makeup remover. If you care about what you put on your face. Don't just shell out big bucks on your makeup brushes and foundation. If there's one thing that I can advise is to save up on makeup remover that is not only easy to use but actually removes all traces of makeup.

I've tried a lot of makeup remover. But the only thing that I keep on going back to is the Shu Uemura Skin Purifier. It's the first actual makeup remover I owned that actually made me enjoy putting on makeup on. It's just an amazing product. I can't stress that enough.

Did you know that the only way to breakdown oil is with oil? Well that's true. That's why cleansing oil is such a good cleanser. Not only does it remove makeup but it also strip off excess oil from the skin, leaving it soft and smoother.

Shu Uemura Cleansing Oils comes in different variants that address almost all skin concerns. There's something for anti-aging, brightening, sensitive and of course, for normal skin. Fresh Pore Clarifying is what I would say that match my skin really well.

I have enlarged pores and extremely oily skin. Most cleansing oils I've tried are effective but it sort of leaves a moisturizing effect would have been great for those with normal to dry skin but I wanted something that really leaves my skin smooth and sort of squeaky clean.

So far, it was only with Shu Uemura Fresh Pore Clarifying Cleansing Oil that I notice my skin feeling really cleansed and smooth afterwards without the feel as if I did use a cleansing oil.

How to use Shu Uemura Cleansing Oil?

With dry hands, pour 1 to 2 pumps of cleansing oil on to your hands.

Spread gently and thoroughly all over the face.

you can use this even with the toughest mascara and eyeliner. Just keep your eyes closed to prevent the product going to your eyes

Add a few drops of water to face to emulsify the oil

the oil will turn milky white as if it becomes soapy.
you'll feel as if your makeup is actually breaking down

Rinse thoroughly with lukewarm water

pat skin with a clean dry towel

How I actually use Shu Uemura cleansing oil

I use this as a Step 1 in my cleansing routine.

Since I take cleaning my face seriously (I found this way is incredibly effective to prevent pimple breakouts), I also use this for days I don't use makeup to completely remove excess oil, grime and dirt. Then I move on to Step 2, which is to use an acne soap to further remove

Does it remove water-proof mascara, gel liner and tough to remove makeup?

It does!!

When I went on a trip to Cebu, I forgot my Maybelline Lip and Eye makeup remover and I was at my wits end since I brought with me a very hard to remove waterproof mascara, Majolica Majorca Lash Expander Frame Mascara, notorious for leaving panda eyes. I felt so relieved that Shu Uemura cleansing oil was able to melt the mascara and liner away! Phew! I was afraid that I would leave residue under my eyes. Thank God, it didn't!

Ever since, I just brought with me this product during weekend and vacation trips.

What you'll notice?

A thoroughly well-cleansed face that isn't too drying or have that taunt-feel.
There's definitely that feel of luxury with every use
The oil easily emulsify (you can even do this in the shower)
Lasts a long time (I finished my first 150ml bottle for 8 to 9 months)
Pores will look the same but doesn't look clogged compared to not using this.
Semi-dry skin (which is actually a good thing for us oily skin ladies)
No breakouts
Less whiteheads and blackheads (proven with regular facial treatments)
You'll see traces of makeup actually falling along with the emulsified oil
That you're not as scared to apply or use for makeup for fear it might clog your pores!

What's great is that Shu Uemura Cleansing oils come in fun packaging that they collaborated with with talented Japanese designers and artist. This time, I got the one from Mamechiyo, a contemporary kimono-designer. Known for her feminine yet modern take on the traditional kimonos.

I'm sure many of you will probably find Shu Uemura cleansing oils expensive. But bear in mind that cleansing is an important aspect of makeup application. Find the joy and not the downside of cosmetics with a proper makeup remover and a cleansing product.

I leave you with the thought that makeup is fun especially when you know you your skin won't bear the consequence of using it with a great makeup remover.

Remember: Never sleep with any makeup on.

Rather, never sleep without cleansing your skin!

Skin Care Review: Nourishing Night Oil | Enriched with Vitamin E

I am one of those girls who are adamant to not use moisturizers. I have extremely oily skin and I just hate the icky feeling after applying it. It feels like my face is getting ready to fry some eggs and bacon! Raise your hands if you’re with me! Yup, I see many agree!

But the sad fact is we need to moisturize… I know! I know! I can hear you sighing. Me, too!

Here are few facts I found out and have been mentioning on my other skincare posts:

Truth: Not all oily skin has equal oiliness on every part of the face. And not all oily skin really oil up on certain parts of the face. That’s why we have combination skin, normal to oily, dry to oily and sensitive skin.
Truth: Oily skin do need to moisturize as when it sends signal to create more oil making the skin a lot more oily that it already is.
Truth: Dry skin shows signs of aging easily than oily skin.
Truth: Oily shows less signs of aging but has larger pores that gets clogged by comedones that results to blackheads, whiteheads that turns to cystic acne.

There is a lot of reason why we should moisturize.

It immediately improves the texture of the skin.
It’s a protective barrier form outside pollutants
It slows down aging depending on what type of moisturizer you are using.
It leaves the skin supple and soft.

Given that I have oily skin, I’m partial to my moisturizers and lean towards to more expensive ones. Being oily and prone to pimples, I try to not splurge too much on moisturizers. So I stick to those with fewer ingredients (that can’t clog up pores) or that is meant for oily skin.

One recent discovery is the Nourishing Night Oil (NNO). It’s a Vitamin E enriched moisturizer encased in a twist applicap. It’s manufactured by MEGA Lifesciences which takes purity in their products seriously.

Night Nourishing Oil contains only 2 ingrdients: Vitamin E (4.70mg) and Jojoba Oil (85.80mg) that makes this product healthy for all skintypes as it doesn’t contain other harmful checmicals or preservatives.

Why Vitamin E and Jojoba Oil?

Vitamin E is a known effective anti-oxidant (that’s why our moms use this on their faces and why we need daily intake of it).

Jojoba Oil, which actually is a liquid wax that comes from the jojoba plant, mimics our skin’s natural oil and it improves skin’s elasticity. It also doesn’t contain triglycerides that can cause skin irritation.

And of course, it is better to use it at night. Cosmeceutical research has shown that our skin regenerates better at night away from pollutants and free radicals. So that also means you need to get 8 hours of sleeps.

What I think of Nourishing Night Oil?

Okay, I was hesitant at first. It did remind me of those days my mom pricked her Vitamin E capsules and used it as moisturizers. Not only that the Vitamin E was too oily but it doesn’t smell pleasant either. Rather it smelled like regular cooking oil! And I was scared that each capsule would have too much product in one capsule that it would be clog my skin.

Problems assuaged when I got to try it for myself. Everything I was worried about weren’t true after all.

Each cap contains just enough oil for my face and neck.
It’s not greasy at all when the skin has absorbed it.
Skin looks dewy and not oily.
It’s easily absorbed by the skin.
It smells wonderful (thanks to the jojoba oil)
It leaves the skin smooth after each application
It’s affordable at Php450 per 30 capsules.

I’ve only been using this for the past few nights and my skin feels as if it’s breathing a lot easier. It has even become a good moisturizer now that I just undergone Fraxel laser treatment from Belo which made skin has become dry and flaky. NNO has been helping it recover at night.

How to open an NNO capsule

You just got to twist the head and snap! It looks like a small bowling pin, right?

Make sure to not just apply it but massage it softly on your face, concentrating on the driest part of your face.

Like with every skincare, it’s not just these things that can improve our skin. We also need to drinks lots of fluid especially under this heat wave, eat fruits and vegetable (looks who’s talking!), get lots of rest and of course, try to stay away from stress and bad vibes.

Stress and sleep may be a bit difficult to achieve but bad vibes is quite easy to ward off when you’re with these people.

Lipstick Wednesday | Colour Collection Paradise Pink Lipstick

One of my favorite lipstick has got to be the Paradise Pink from Colour Collection by Tupperware Brands Philippines. It's one of the nicest pink hues I own and it didn't have to cost me that much.

Paradise Pink, known also as one of the popular lipstick that Bea Alonzo used in her previous teleserye, Magkaribal, is one of the truest pink lipstick I've tried. A bit on the brighter side and has a more purple tone, this shade really spells P-I-N-K unlike any other.

It's somewhat flirtatious and sweet at the same time. Pigmentation is unbelievable and you'd feel your lips enjoying the rich moisture without the need for a gloss.

I love pairing this lipstick with big doe eyes, neutral makeup and rosy cheeks. With Pink Paradise, it's quite easy to stand even in plain old tee and jeans.

What I love is how there's a bit a of sheen and yet this lipstick is totally opaque. Looks as if I swiped gloss on it, but didn't!

Colour Collection Moisture Intense Lipstick in Paradise Pink is an intense opaque pink lip color. It's moisturizing and lasts at least up to 2 to 4 hours on the lips. You hardly need a lip brush to apply this shade as the colors show up with just a few swipes. Given its intensity and creaminess, it also masks visible wrinkles on the lips. It's totally moisturizing and has SPF15 for a bit sun protection.

If you've always wanted to a pink lipstick, this is definitely what I'm recommending.

The word Tangram when I read it on the packet reminded me so much of my favourite mind game in elementary. But unlike the real tangram, this one is much easier to figure out.

I’m obsessed with my Iphone. It has everything that I need and then some more. It’s got my playlist, my list of must-read books, videos and pictures of uber cute pups! Oh! And I can make calls, text maessages and get emails from it, too! Hahaha!

When I got myself a Tangram Iphone 4 case 2, I didn’t realized that I’d be more in love with my Iphone than ever before. Why?

Everybody can attest to the fact that I always always have a huge bag and I always always tend to lug them around with me. But now that I have the Tangram, I don’t have to. Especially when attenting events or just getting something at the store.

Better yet, going out for lunch is much easier since I can bring my moolah and phone with me in just one hand. makes it totally easier and much friendlier for my shoulders and it's easier to party and socialize, too! Oh yeah!

Tangram Iphone 4 case fits snugly around my iPhone 4. But I recommend you trying it out on the store first before purchasing just to be sure. I like that it's not bulky. Rather it is still slim in design. it can fit regualr-sized cards. I don't recommend leaving your credit card all the time though since your information will be shown frequently to others. Not a good idea.

Also, try getting the one that isn't white since this one acquires dirt easily.

Overall, I'm loving this Tangram Iphone 4 case. Too bad the price is a little steep at Php1,500. But hey, I definitely know a lot of people who would pay handsomely for a nice phone case. :)

Here's what I wore last week, I decided to wear my old tiangge jersey dress as it flatters my plump figure quite nicely and I thought that it's a great match for my Dainty White stack bangles (Php380) from Club and Spade.

I like the way that Club and Spade segregates their accessories seemingly as if it's divided into personalities.

They've got the Classics for those who like s to stick to basics; Dainty for girls like me who wants something sweet and girly; the Naturalist for the boho chic; and Into the Wild for those who likes animal-prints and have a more adventurous ideas.

As for me, I like anything that is gold and white in my accessories. The Dainty white stacked bracelets is suits my personailty well and matches a lot of my outfit.

I finally got to hang out with Manila's most fashionable bloggers again at an event and I had loads of fun. Same as I am with beauty, these girls and I share the same passion and that is just plain expressing ourselves whether wearing a neon top or a neon lipstick. :)

The scent is so fresh and clean, it has a way of waking me up in the morning. It reminds me of summer, melon shakes and just being a kid again. And you can apply it at the middle of the day and you will feel so refreshed. At least for me it does. I just love it!

And how do I keep the scent a lot more lasting? I do the layering of scents. And that is using the same scents from bathing, moisturizing and of course spraying the cologne all over!

The Body Shop is on big sale this Summer. You've got to visit the nearest The Body Shop near you and get your beauty fix with tons of tons of products on sale!

And these sale comes in crates!

The Body Shop commissioned Tahanang Walang Hagdan, a non-profit non-stock non-gorvernment organization that aid orthopedically handicapped peopleto uplift their lives with activities that would soon earn them a living!

How cool is that! :)

I also has my makeup done. The Body Shop is probably one of the beauty stores in the market that has so many talented makeup artist. Even Chuvaness pointed that out in one her blog posts. All of them are consisted on how to do the brows, contouring and of course making those eyes and cheeks pop. :)

Meet Stonehill or Hill, he did our makeup that day and I swear he made me gorgeous. I looked like a sick puppy when I came in to shop. Now I look like so pretty. (hahaha!) Please excuse my high praises but I just love this transformation.

He's the one who taught me on how to do wearable blue eye shadow makeup look. :)

So get those pretty little bums off that computer desks or couches and go to the nearest TBS!

BB Cream Review: Estee Laude CyberWhite Brilliant Cells Extra Intensive BB Creme

Friends over at Estee Lauder sent over their CyberWhite Brilliant Cells Extra Intensive BB Creme for me to try.

As you all know, I'm not really a big fan of BB Creams. It's really the least "foundation" that I like since it doesn't really control oiliness. Although it's marketed for all skin type as it is more a healing balm than it is cosmetic, I find myself using this product for when I have pimples, undergone laser and peeling treatments and when i am just having a bad skin overall. I really can't deny how good it is for the skin.

Given the rise to fame of BB Cream in the cosmetic world, it's not surprising that high end brands like Estee Lauder finally joins the bandwagon. But thankfully incorporating it into their CyberWhite line to give the skin a luminous dewy look while at the same time help brighten the skin.

BB Cream to me should always have that "healing" and "safe" effect. I'd put up to not having my oiliness controlled if its going to be beneficial to the skin. I don't want a BB Cream masking as a glorified tinted moisturizer.

Estee Lauder CyberWhite Brilliant Cells Extra Intensive BB Creme with Multi-action Formula and SPF 35/PA+++ is a lightening BB creme that doesn't aggravate my acne, helps even out my skin tone and provide ample sun protection for my skin.

Estee Lauder CyberWhite Brilliant Cells Extra Intensive BB Creme with Multi-action Formula and SPF 35/PA+++ has a lightweight texture. The coverage is very minimal and doesn't cover flared up acnes, red cystic ones and dark pigmentation. But it covers redness around my mouth, sides of my nose and chin. Compared to other BB creams I've tried, this is has sheer coverage.

It has dewy radiant effect and would give dry skin a white glowy look. But with oily skin, one must set this with powder to achieve a matte effect.

What I love is that the shade of Estee Lauder CyberWhite Brilliant Cells Extra Intensive BB Creme with Multi-action Formula and SPF 35/PA+++ is that the shade is light and rather than the usual gray-ish tint we are use to on Japanese and Korean BB Cream, it has a beige-peach-near-to-our-skin-tone shade. Just see below! It's a better match for many skin tones.

I've been having bad skin days lately (thanks to late nights, stress and allergies from kissing my fuzzy pups), I acquired really huge cystic acne all over my face and red itchy patches. And though normally rely on my favored liquid foundations, BB creams seems to be the smart choice. It's a better barrier for my powder foundation from The Body Shop.

If only it controls my oiliness, this product would get A++ from me. But considering how I really don't go for BB cream, I'm giving Estee Lauder CyberWhite Brilliant Cells Extra Intensive BB Creme with Multi-action Formula and SPF 35/PA+++ a good A! A+ if its only affordable but it isn't. It's Estee Lauder after all.

I can't tell you how red my face have become over the past few days. I became extremely allergic to my pups' fur (probably because I'm allergic to dust and they roll around under the bed). Estee Lauder CyberWhite Brilliant Cells Extra Intensive BB Creme have effectively controlled my face's redness... and certainly at this point, I need something that can help lighten my skin given that I'm sure I will acquire pimple marks after my acne have healed.

It's definitely a great product despite the fact that it comes with a hefty price tag. After all, it is from Estee Lauder. I just know that many of you out there will be excited to know that Estee Lauder finally came out with a BB cream.

Here's the look I created with Estee Lauder CyberWhite Brilliant Cells Extra Intensive BB Creme:

Makeup all done with just powder foundation and a bit of concealer to cover pimples.
