I've always really loved this mesh top. I think a few years back I posted it in an outfit of the day. I honestly do not know why I love it so much. Maybe it's the 90's aspect of it. You guys know how much I love that. It is a little risque. Definitely not for the conservative dresser.

The heat these past few days has been absolutely unbearable for me. I live in The Valley in Los Angeles, if you didn't know. Yesterday my AC units weren't working..like at all. Anyway, I think some of my brain cells have just died forever as a result.

I've never been one to wait in long lines for any type of merchandise. I tend to avoid situations where I'll be around a mass amount of people for essentially no reason. Sometimes, even theme parks make me a bit uneasy. Alas, I was at the Kanye West Pablo pop up shop with my boyfriend. I stayed with him almost the entire time but I had to go to work half way through. He was sweet enough to buy me this pullover and to acquire a hoodie for Nadia as well.

Oh, also, I made these hats for Bad Meaning Good. A new online store specializing in awesome things. I'm most excited about this orange version because..well..you know.

I love The Line by K so much. The clean lines and great quality of the pieces are amazing. I've always been super into the perfect basic pieces. These clear heels are also pretty amazing. Possibly because I always feel like shoes ruin outfits and these clear ones just kinda look like fake Cinderella slippers.

I really love the whole catsuit/unitard look. I used to have one from American Apparel and I absolutely regret getting rid of it. It fit like a glove. Not I have this beautiful pink one from Marie Pierre Boutique. Which is an incredibly adorable shop. This is called the "Kelsey Unitard." I felt so feminine and fun in this. Especially with my little high bun that Nadia did for me.

I'm really into the sharpness of this look. I felt very business like. I love simplicity and clean lines in my outfits, in my life, et cetera. I wonder sometimes, though, if the fact that my style in how I dress or even in my art is an accurate representation of my personality. I kind of think it is. I'm the type of person to be so into so many different things at one time. I love Alanis Morissette, Beyonce, and Kanye West's music almost equally. Both Yoshitomo Nara and Caravaggio are two of my top 20 favorite artists. I'm constantly thinking of ways to elevate my aesthetic and I always feel like I just can't get that perfect look. I really envy people who can stick to one thing and one way of doing things. My boyfriend has had the same haircut for, I don't know, about 5 years? I change my hair maybe once or twice a year. I think at this point I'm rambling and you get the picture.

Bottom line is : this outfit was cool.

So, here is another one of my picks from Light in the Box. I thought this t-shirt / dress was really funny and I had to have it. I also love these wrap up sandals from Target. Lately Target has some absolutely amazing shoes for women. I picked up some platform pumps from them the other day because they were necessary for my life. I almost bought both black and brown but I stopped myself because, you know, bills.

This outfit would be perfect for a beach date, walking around somewhere super hot or humid, et cetera. Which is exactly what I did in it. Also, these sunglasses are pretty cool. They're not mine though. They're Nadia's. Teehee!

I'm really into this swimsuit because it looks like a watercolor painting. I gathered some similar items for you guys to shop below. It kind of reminds me of the gymnastics leotards that I used to wear to practice growing up. I was all over all the cool and crazy prints when I was a kid. I used to beg my mom for new suits all the time. I lived in things like this. I guess thats why I'm so comfortable in them now.

I told myself that I would relax today before I go to my job. I'm over here writing and about to run errands and this that and the other thing. I don't know how to take care of myself sometimes. It's all good. It'll pay off someday!

There has been really random weather here in Los Angeles so that leads to me being able to wear really random outfits. I've been enjoying the early June Gloom and the bits of rain here and there because it's been pretty calming honestly. I took these quickly in the middle of running errands aka being in traffic for an entire day. My double buns came out extremely nice so of course I had to take photos. Even though the majority of my blog consists of random looks and styles I swear this is how I dress most of the time. I'm super in love with my Tubular Doom Adidas. One of my favorite pairs of sneakers that I've ever worn or owned to this date.

I haven't drawn anything in 7 days, so, I'm feeling pretty gross about that right now. Just kind of thinking about my next steps and thinking about what I have to get done. This week was crazy busy but its a good busy and a happy busy!

So, this dress from lightinthebox has become the best ever. The ruching, material, and length of it are the most flattering ever for me. I think it's going to become a summer staple for me. I love the cut out back detail too. We all know how much I enjoy an easy outfit. I really like how simple everything is in this look. Down to the basic cut out heels. I'd really love to wear this to a dinner date with my manboyfriend or even a girls night out.

I'm currently writing this from my parent's house in Florida because I'm on vacation...kind of. I'm obviously still working because I'm kind of addicted to it? I think that's because I'm not at a point where I feel like I can honestly relax without wondering what I could be getting done to reach my goals. I started this whole consistency thing way too late. I know that. It's important for me to keep going because I'll never know what could've came from all of this if I don't. I'm pretty proud of my progress within the last few months and I honestly love what I do. I just want to do more of it.

Nadia bought me this graphic shirt with a unicorn and my name on it for my birthday. She specifically asked the airbrush people to make the eyeball bigger on the unicorn. It is amazing. Also she bought me these shoes. I'm glad my boyfriend and my bestfriend understand me 90% of the time. I must've mentioned these shoes 100 times. Especially since I have an old pair of orange Roshe Runs from 2013 that I ruined on a hike. These jeans are my new favorite pair because the way they fit around my ankles is perfect. My shortness is always annoying when I'm trying to find jeans but since these are a "cropped" fit, they're perfect for me.

I would also like to say that I definitely recommend journaling to anyone who is feeling lonely, misunderstood, stressed, and has a spare 10 minutes. For me, I often feel like my emotional baggage can be a burden to those that I love and I want to have an outlet that's just for my eyes. I love writing things down in general because it helps me to remember and it makes it more concrete. This is why I actually write my brainstorms down. Why I actually write to-do lists. I know this is dying off but I'll probably always do it. I grew up writing in diaries. It's just a good way for me to let off steam without hurting anyone's feelings or stressing anyone out. Obviously, you shouldn't use it as a method of shutting yourself off but I think it could be beneficial for a lot of people. Try it. Let me know how it goes.

I don't quite know what it is about the look of gladiator type sandals that just makes me feel really cool. I think I've watched too many movies and when I look at these photos I feel like I look like some type of, ahem, *ootd warrior* Anyways, these "Imani" heels from Just Fab are so amazing. I obviously tied them all the way up because it made my legs look longer. And the blouse was just super comfy and flowing. The tie up detail is one of my favorite things from this last year. As you can see with this post that Frankie shot of me from December, which was featured in Style Caster for what to wear with a lace up top! I'm on page 16. Super exciting.

We all know how in love with orange I am. It's getting hotter out and these types of fabrics are going to be a must at all time. While we were shooting I kept telling Frankie, "I actually feel naked right now. This is great." It's also only $8.90! On top of that, these braids, extremely easy, are my favorite thing to do as of late. Especially with my bangs. These are my Wednesday Addams braids. Easily one of my top ten fictional characters of all time. I don't have to mention anything about these heels because they're obviously amazing.

Yesterday I was at the Boohoo USA pop up shop in LA for Nadia's meet and greet. I felt overwhelmed with joy the whole time just talking to everyone. These photos were pre - amazing braids and flower crown. It was seriously so much fun. My face hurt from smiling so much for hours afterwards. I was obviously all festivally and loving my 70's bell sleeve top. These sandals were the perfect heels to wear standing all day, honestly, my feet didn't hurt once. I wore them tied down so that I wouldn't have to worry about them falling down and I'm glad I did because I think they look super cute like this. My dear friend Trinity came over today and did my make up for a video on her YouTube channel which I'll link you to when it's finished. I took that opportunity to put on a few pieces of clothing and take some photos real quick. I'm not gonna lie, it's cool to me that I look tall from some angles sometimes. I really like simple silhouettes for the most part. I don't like to overly accessorize but I do like details like the cut of this t-shirt. Very cool. Also, it kept me slightly cool. Because today was hot as heck. I've always loved chokers. If you go back in time to my archives, you'll catch on to my ongoing obsession with them. You'll also notice how many phases I've gone through style wise. I know, there are a lot. It's really refreshing to hear all of the great things your friends and loved ones are accomplishing. Talking with Trinity today while she did my make up was great and then after that I heard some great news from Nadia. Small victories and taking things one step at a time are a huge factor in your success and your overall happiness in life.

I just finished eating a mini bag of hot cheeto's and I'm feeling pretty positive. I couldn't start this post any other way but to let you guys know how happy hot cheeto's make me. Anyway! I hope everyone had a great weekend. I've been recovering from the high of my birthday being amazing and waiting for my online shopping splurges to be delivered. Aghhhh! Sunday! No packages today. Aside from that, it's been kind of a long week. It feels like time is moving really slowly and I'm somehow getting nothing finished.

Seeing as how I know everyone has their fair share of "whew that was a long a** day" moments. I decided to throw in some of my self care go - to's. Which, if you follow me on Instagram, you've already seen. I really love this Burt's Bees foot lotion that my mom bought me because I work on my feet at a restaurant part time and after a hard shift, I need to give myself a massage and decompress before I sleep. I also love the Made Men and Co body butter. The texture is kind of exfoliating. Huge plus. Also, plain Chapstick. I've been using this for like 10 years. I went though all different kinds and I always come back to the plain, original Chapstick. I apply it multiple times in an hour on some days. This wasn't a matching set type of outfit intentionally. I tend to gravitate towards certain colors often. The pale pink color of this look really accentuates the paleness of my actual skin. Something that I've recently embraced. With that being said, I do intend on getting my fifteen minutes of sun every day because I need those vitamins to keep my skin looking vibrant. We all do! Anyways, the shorts I wore here are so comfortable. I'm getting used to wearing cheeky shorts again because of several reasons. Mainly because I like letting my legs breathe and get some fresh air. You know what I mean!

I'm turning 26 tomorrow but I've pretty much already celebrated my birthday fully. Sunday I went to Raffi's Place, which is a Persian restaurant in Glendale close by, with my boyfriend and Nadia. Spending time with my favorite people in the world makes me undeniably happy. Then, yesterday, I went to Disneyland for the first time. My boyfriend took me as a surprise because I've never been to the California Disney before. It was one of the best days of my life, honestly. He took me to Club 33 for dinner, which is a special restaurant within Disney that only a few people know about (I didn't know what it was.) I honestly have no idea how long he's been planning this or how he arranged it because, let me tell you, it is very elusive. Best meal I've ever had in my life with the love of my life. We rode Space Mountain twice. And I got my Mickey Ears. I wish I would've taken Nadia's fancy camera to take photos, but, like I said, it was a surprise. XD

We snapped these yesterday after I took pics of Nadia. She bought me this left handed shirt for an early birthday gift because she loves me. I'm kinda obsessed with it. She also bought me a unicorn shirt that was airbrushed and has my name on it. So sassy.

I'm pretty sure I've worn these mom jeans on this blog a few times before. They're one of my go-to's. I wear them on a regular basis, dressed up or down. Nike Roshe Runs have been my favorite type of sneaker ever since my first pair a few years ago. I sometimes get a size 5 in boys because its cheaper and there are more color options at times. My first pair was orange and I was completely obsessed with them until I wore them hiking and messed them up when I moved to California. There's a new orange style on Finish Line that is definitely on my wish list.

Ever since I bought the Fujifilm Instant camera a couple of weeks ago, I've been taking it with me everywhere. There's no photo, to me, that has that raw feeling of a polaroid shot. My sister had one when I was a kid and I was always super jealous of it. By the time she was tired enough of hers to lend me it, it was broken, and my mom was jaded by the experience of having to buy her expensive film. Now that I'm an "adult" I feel like a kid again with this thing.

These are probably some of my favorite outfit of the day photos ever taken of me. The warm color scheme and the crispness are just so delicious to my eyes. On top of that, I love the mustard yellow mock neck top that I'm wearing. I love new pieces with an old school feel to them. Yellow and orange are some of my favorite colors for my skin tone as well. I don't know why. They might not be the best pairing classically, but, I don't mind anyway. This is also one of the best lipsticks I own. I usually don't splurge on much but $16 for lipstick is a lot for me and this satin Mac lipstick in "Verve" was well worth it. It's pretty brown on me, which I just love. I also used a curling wand to achieve these soft wavey curls. It's getting easier for me to do hair and makeup. I'm proud of myself!

I completely reorganized my room yesterday and it was incredibly cathartic. All of my pens and markers are put away in little cubbies. My paint is neatly organized. My clothes are completely folded. The best part was waking up this morning to everything being put away. I just feel like I hit the restart button.

Oh, another cool thing! My artwork is going to be featured in a short film thats being shot this weekend! So excited to show you when its complete! :)

I came with Nadia to Palm Springs for a couple of days while she works with Target. I mainly took a ton of photos in front of pretty things both of Nadia and myself. There are so many beautiful spots in The Parker hotel. I love everything about the decor. The vintage feel and the eye for art. I was specifically so stoked when I saw these Christie's books. I kind of gasped. I think it was a gasp. I love art books for obvious reasons.

I'm starting to really love stripes. They have that vintage feel that I always love and obviously matched great with the decor of the room. I haven't worn my docs in a while but every now and then I love pulling them out. Such a classic boot that will honestly never go out of style.

I used to do this thing in college, specifically in my last year of college, where I would cut out my drawings and rearrange them together creating a whole new idea or mood. Actually, I did that for my B.F.A. exhibit and it was one of my favorite things that I've done. I'm used to drawing myself. In case you haven't noticed. I'm always drawing myself. It's mainly due to muscle memory. Usually all the eyes I paint look like my eyes. It's also because my main concentration in my artwork has been in identity. With that being said, I want to be better, so I'm doing something different. I'm drawing other ladies from the internet and just different things in general. I've found a really cool way of combining ideas fluently. Hopefully when this is finished I'll have a big body of work that I'll have trouble picking my favorites. That's always a good sign. When you can't pick favorites. Because you love them all.

I don't do skin tones or details in hair yet because I'm honestly not interested in it at the moment. Only where it matters or when it means something. I really love facial structure and just subtlety in general. I just love expressions and the color palette that I'm working with. I'm not interested in reality. Eventually, I'll probably digitally enhance these some. I used pencil, pen, and a combination of markers. These markers are some of the best tools I've ever used.

I wasn't sure how to do my hair this day (like always) so I borrowed one of Nadia's hats (like always.) I really like the matchy-matchy of this outfit. Let me also just tell you that these heels are so amazingly comfortable on me. I could walk in them all day. Major plus. I bought myself a bunch of basics last month and it was one of the wisest things I've ever done. Just so much versatility in simplicity. I like the sound of that actually. This wall was really cool and tacky and I love that. If I were single and into dating apps then that would be my profile description : "Really cool and tacky."

I'm a routine kind of person. Every day I wake up (usually) at the same time, I make coffee, I call my parents, I go online. Incorporating healthy habits into your every day routine is so important. Even something as little as making your bed every day. Making your bed seems dumb because you're just going to get back into it to sleep later.. but.. at least it'll keep you up and productive and make your living space more livable. I know Nadia does some stretches to wake her up in the morning because she doesn't drink coffee.

The next little thing that I do every day is draw. No matter what. I'm always drawing something. If I don't then I don't feel right. I love felt tip pens for doodling in my Moleskines and in my planner. Yes, I have a planner. Yes, I use it every day. I'm the type of person that can't remember anything unless I write it down. Even using the notepad on my phone doesn't work for me. Now, Nutella isn't really necessarily a healthy habit.....but I gotta give myself a break every once in a while. AKA All the time.

Can we also just talk about how cute these socks are? I'm accepting sock donations and presents for my birthday which is coming up in one month. March 30th! Aries, baby, aries! :)

PSA: It was hot as hell today. I thought I could get away with wearing this jacket and shorts and that I would be fine but I WAS SWEAT-TING. Anyways, I love this color combination. Browns and nudes are my favorites. I just love neutrals in general. Also, we all know how much I enjoy a good pair of cut off short shorts. I put my nose ring back in because I've been feeling like getting back to a younger version of myself. Not that I'm old. Or that it would be a bad thing if I were old? Nevermind. Anyways, Fresh Trends has a ton of noserings. Even ones that are faux for those of you who aren't sure. I, myself, am into faux septums because I'm terrified of actually getting my septum done.
