Dragon Friends

2012-07-16T06:28:00.000-04:00

So I am obviously bad at Blogging, lol, here I am again.

Between trying to keep up with my house, being a wife, being a mom of 3 young men, homeschooling and more, I have fallen behind on some things like blogging my stuff.
This is my latest design.

A Dragon. It's one of my new favorites.
Excuse my dusty plant.

I glued my new applique onto a popsicle stick so that the kids could use it as a puppet. You can put it on hats, sweaters, scarves what ever you'd like.

I can not wait to release this one.

Angry bird attack

2012-01-15T10:05:00.000-05:00

So I've wanted to do an angry bird hat for a while and I got the chance when I received an order for one.

This one was really fun to make. I have 2 other ones and I can't wait to do them. :)

This Dragonfly was another one of my on the list items. A sweet lil story of a person ordering it to cheer up her friend who lost 2 of her close family members 5 years from each other. This lil dragonfly can clip on anything. :)

The kids and I went on a picnic today with My Mother and Step Dad to the beautiful Acadia Park. There are trails and small waterfalls, lots of life and inspiration there. Of course I brought my camera with me, I love catching those lil moments that we seem to take for granted most days. Well while capturing moments, we get to a pond with tons of mating Dragonflies. I, loving photography as my hobby, start snapping away.
Here is 1 that I got that I absolutely love.

New creations

2011-07-18T18:27:00.000-04:00

So I've been away a little bit because I've been working on some interesting things.

First, a Corn Hat, for a Farm Lady who is about to harvest her corn and sell them at her Traveling markets. She is known as "The Corn Lady". She asked me to make her a Corn hat so I did. It came out just as I wanted it to. This was the first time that I used a Puff Stitch so I was nervous at first but I got the hang of it. :)

Second, This one has a lil sssss in it. A Snake. Green and Orange. Now I've done a handful of animals since starting and this one was def. a good one. I love it.

My first Pattern - Hippo Hat

I love taking photos. It will be a bigger part of my life when my children are in school. (I still have about 4 years to go lol) but I wanted to share this with you all.

I have 2 Hydrangea Bushes. Right after 1 started to bloom I took this picture.

What is your opinion?

Feel Free to tell me what you think?

Ms. Violet for Baby A

2011-06-30T13:44:00.000-04:00

I finished 1 sock monkey today. Lots of detail in her. :) but all worth it. The lil girl receiving her will have her for a long time.

I love how she came out and can't wait to see her brother come along.

Mr. Jake will be Dark Blue and Dark Green. He will be born (created) this weekend and displayed proudly.

Gifts for 2

2011-06-27T06:59:00.000-04:00

So a dear friend of mine asked me to make some very special gifts for her friend who is having a baby, well 2 babies. A boy and a girl. So we decided to make a blanket for each of them...

These are the 2 blankets made special for baby A and baby B. Both in Neutral colors because Mommy & Daddy intended to be surprised with these special deliveries.

I started the animal that was requested to go with these to blankets, and my friend asked for them to be in gender colors. The animal was up to me to choose. I pick the ever popular Sock Monkey. :)
Here is the start of the first one in Dark Orchid and light Pink colors. I can't wait to finish her. I'm pretty excited about her being finished soon.

Doing something new

2011-06-25T12:44:00.000-04:00

I'm about to finish a new hat, its coming out so well that I decided to try to write a pattern for it. That way, not only people who would like to buy the hat can enjoy it, but also the people who can crochet can do it too... So far, its coming along. I hope to finish it soon. I'm really excited about it. :)

Hanging on

2011-06-24T07:02:00.000-04:00

So I've been trying to decide whether or not to continue the candle part of my business. Maybe I just need a change.

My ideas
   Change to 1 jar size
   Change jar type
   Add more Tart options

It's getting harder to get candles made with my lil guys getting bigger, because I do not make candles while the kids are awake which doesn't leave me much time to do them. So I need to make it easier for me. Maybe I'll just go through my supplies and make a bunch, have a huge sale and start over. :) I wish I loved it as much as I did when I started. Maybe I'll find that passion again.

Getting it done

2011-06-23T13:46:00.000-04:00

I am so happy to have finished 2 full orders this morning. Yay. love that I can deliver these items and see my customers happy to see them. :)

Grass or Basil

2011-06-22T06:37:00.000-04:00

I had to share this cute little story. I've been trying to be good and making what I can for food so that we save a more money. So I decided we would make pizza - 1 White & 1 Wheat pizza dough. My husband likes to make the pizza so he did. He took fresh herbs of parsley, oregano, & BASIL and put them on the those yummy pizzas.
Well as we are sitting there chowing away, my son Matt, who is 22 mos old starts picking at his pizza. He pulls a piece of basil out and says "Grath (grass) yuck" and throws it on the table. He ended up eating it but it took us awhile to stop laughing about the "Grath" on the pizza.

Ah A Beautiful Day

2011-06-21T14:07:00.000-04:00
