Why am I here? Why am I blogging? What am I going to blog about? And, who will read my blogs anyway? I'm never a blogger nor a blog reader.

Oh well, it's because this is the homework assigned by Mr. Jerry Su who left us .... (He is Mr. Nice!) And, tomorrow is the deadline so here I am ...

So what is a blog? It's a public diary that allows you to share your thoughts and feelings with others. And yes that's the reason I don't like to read blogs. Because I can't relate to them even I know the author. Think about it. Is he or she the same person blogging as the one we encounter in person? Okay, this doesn't make any sense. I'm just babbling here. I will stop right now. Beginning is hard!

Since there's no rule and this is MY blog, I can just write whatever I want so here we go ....

First, most training courses of this Online Store Management class are totally not what I signed up for. The recruiter who later confirmed has left PCCU after worked for about three months provided incorrect information to us with the purpose to get more students. They emphasize too much on learning web design related softwares. How many of us here are going to pursuit the career in graphic design anyway? I'm really depressed. Last Friday the teacher of Flash even told us he could never be able to finish teaching the course by schedule. If he couldn't finish it, then what on earth did we bother to learn it in the beginning for? At our age now, spending eight hours in front of computer is killing us. My neck hurts, my feet get swollen, and my bottom is getting bigger and bigger everyday by sitting too long. Totally wasting our time, man!

Second, this class which is held through PCCU is actually sponsored by the Department of Labor for unemployed citizens. People like us who have lost jobs and are in the middle age do not have to pay any penny for it. We appreciate the gesture in deed. But why the heck did PCCU misuse the budget? The teachers are great. Since this is a ten-week class (360hrs), why do we need 12 notebooks, 10 3-color ballpoint pens, and 15 blank DVD discs ??? (don't they know that USB flash drive is more practical? and yes, we did get one 8G flash drive which was not enough for the purpose.) Anyway, whoever was responsible for the budget of this class totally abused the system. Did they honestly think we would be happy to get all these free stuff? Hey, that was from our previous contribution to income tax, yes, when we had a job!

Money can be better used!

Couldn't believe our society and life style have been changed like this!

Morning on MRT, people look down busily working on their "cells" to texting, watching news, reading articles, listening music or playing games. What happened to the communication function of cells? People are trying to avoid eye contact too. But I like to see people smile. I love to hear a chipper voice. So what happened?

I don't belong to this young generation. They don't really talk to you or smile at you in person anymore. They use MSN to "chat" and Emoticons to "smile." When they need a friend or want to make a new friend, they search on Facebook. People get intimacy and pry on others' lives thru Facebook. But the true identity is never revealed. When asking about their thoughts, they would prefer you to look into their blogs.

Man! I never enjoy reading others' blogs because it's never true. A true feeling I'm talking about. Will people really tell you the truth when they fall to love the dark side and hate the love surrounding them? They're hiding.

New technology supposed to make people live better and feel more complete. I will say in emotional satisfaction. But better in what way? More convenient to hide from their loved ones?

Oh, so sad! So sad!

Tom Hanks And HBO Developing New Comedy

If there is one name that makes HBO see dollar signs and Emmy awards, it’s Tom Hanks. All right, Hanks makes just about everyone see dollar signs and awards, but this time around it’s not Hanks in front of the cameras but behind them, where he spends plenty of time these days. His production company Playtone, with longtime business partner Gary Goetzman, has been behind several hits for the premium network, and now they are working together again on a new series.

Hanks and Goetzman are the team behind HBO’s award winning miniseries Band of Brothers and John Adams as well as The Pacific. They are also responsible for the hit series Big Love. It seems they still have big love for HBO; The Hollywood Reporter broke the news on their latest collaboration with the network entitled Players, which centers on the lives of college athletes. This comes not long after word that the team will also be working on an adaptation of American Gods based on the Neil Gaiman novel.

The development deal on the project has Hanks and Goeztman executive producing while James Evans and Daryl Scoot with produce for HBO. Players will be a half hour comedy, a departure from the work Hanks and company have done for the network in the past. Still, no one would question Hanks place in the comedy world, and it might just be a refreshing change for HBO and for Playtone.

Plenty of Hanks’ fans will tune it to see just about anything he attaches his name to, so HBO has to be pleased with the ongoing partnership with his production company. Just how amusing college athletes are to anyone but each other remains to be seen.
