Antigua celebrates with it's new FIFA ranking

You can spend an entire year on Antigua and not step on the same beach twice. Yes, 365 beaches. One for every day of the year. So you'd think that with such an amazing claim to fame an island could sit back on it's laurels but no. Now Antigua is becoming recognized for its football (soccer). 

The Benna Boys, as they have come to be known, have improved ten places over their September ranking and are now only behind powerhouses Trinidad and Tobago in the Caribbean Football Union rankings at number two.

Sailing Week in Antigua

The party schedule has been announced and sailors from around the world are converging on English Harbour for another fantastic Sailing Week in Antigua.

Prayer Time for Antigua and Barbuda

Antigua and Barbuda recently held a country-wide 2 day prayer weekend.  The Chairman of the Planning Committee of Church Leaders, Bishop Kenneth Richards, organized the event. The goal was to come together as a country and pray about the crime wave affecting the country and other moral issues.

Antigua and Barbuda Economic Recovery to Continue

A recent 10-day visit by representatives of the International Monetary Fund was recently completed on Antigua. Their conclusion? The economic recovery experienced by Antigua and Barbuda in 2012 is likely to continue in 2013. Tourism is back up once again. This is great news for Antigua!

Jazz festival to become calendar event

The success of the recent Jazz Festival on Antigua, the Naniki Caribbean Jazz Safari, has made it clear that it will be returning to Antigua, hopefully on a permanent basis.

“The kind of support that we have been getting is really overwhelming.” said said Tom Hinds, festival executive producer.
