OREM, Utah, Shirts Illustrated Inc. just released the news today that they are expanding once again. Owner, Randy Hallam said that since starting his business eight years ago at the 596 North 100 West location in Orem, his business has not only flourished but the infrastructure and facilities have grown 500% over the same period.
The 38 year old entrepreneur and Captain of one of the local fire fighting departments said he was pleased with the results this year and excited about all the future avenues the company was exploring. The company’s largest growth remains with their close association with YBA Shirts. This close knit relationship has created a synergy which puts both companies at the forefront of the jersey sourcing and printing industry and makes us extremely competitive, which accounts for both companies growing their national and international business each year.
Shirts Illustrated now occupies 7,500 sq ft of manufacturing space with another 3,000 sq. ft under consideration. The company’s facilities are also undergoing a complete renovation to be completed by the end of January 2012. The new look will feature a whole new color scheme, sealed floors, new equipment – including a state of the art 8-color press and the completion of a time and motion study that will result in a more profitable and less time consuming layout of equipment and personnel to provide for better handling and flow of product throughout the printing and packaging process. All these changes have been necessitated by the company’s growth over the past three years, which has realized a 45% increase this year alone.
Said Hallam of all the projected changes, “While the economic climate is certainly challenging at the moment, these are exciting times and proves if you have the right people and business partners anything is possible.”

The 30 year-old show is one of the largest events of its type in the decorated apparel industry and provides screen printing owners and operators the opportunity to see the latest equipment, industry trends and techniques available.

Hallam felt the show provided an atmosphere that advances learning while providing face time with a variety of experts. This in turn gives us a competitive advantage over competition in our market no matter what services you offer. It also provides for the latest trends that we can pass onto our customers. This year’s show runs from January 20^th – 22^nd, 2012.
