1. Can You See It?!

Scroll Down to Bottom For Answer!

2. Chessboard Illusion

3.Which line is longer?

Blue or Green?

ANSWERS BELOW!!!!

Chessboard A few white spots create spatial depth in this illusion of a bulging chessboard. Though scientists haven't figured out an exact explanation, the effect could be based on interrupting patterns. Your brain assumes the chessboard has a uniform pattern so it sees the white spots as a distorted bulge, bending outwards. Peter Delius Verlag

This illusion is all about foreshortening—the strict law of perspective tells your brain that the blue line at the far back stretches longer than the green line at the front. But if you remove the checkerboard, the two lines are the same length.

Oscar-winning actor and comedian Robin Williams apparently took his own life at his Northern California home Monday, law enforcement officials said. Williams was 63.

Coroner investigators suspect "the death to be a suicide due to asphyxia," according to a statement from the Marin County, California, Sheriff's Office.

"He has been battling severe depression of late," his media representative Mara Buxbaum told CNN. "This is a tragic and sudden loss. The family respectfully asks for their privacy as they grieve during this very difficult time."

President Barack Obama's statement sent from the White House summed it up:

"Robin Williams was an airman, a doctor, a genie, a nanny, a president, a professor, a bangarang Peter Pan, and everything in between. But he was one of a kind. He arrived in our lives as an alien -- but he ended up touching every element of the human spirit. He made us laugh. He made us cry. He gave his immeasurable talent freely and generously to those who needed it most -- from our troops stationed abroad to the marginalized on our own streets."

Spiderman is the Devil?!

2014-05-13T00:58:00.000-07:00

Today my hispanic neighbor

(a 6 yr old boy who frequently likes to play in my yard with my kids)
informed me that the clothes that my son has out grown,

but fits him perfectly, he could not take,

" because they have Spiderman on them."

I am unsure why other than the reason he gave me, as I have yet to ask his parents the validity of this belief within the household, but anyway what he said was that,

" My parents told me Spiderman, Superman, Batman and all that was evil and it is the devil"

I laughed and asked him, " is Bugs Bunny ok?" and he said, "yes"....

I said bugs bunny was mischievous in most cartoons while Superman always saves the day....

Thinking to myself.....

Batman is not From Dusk Till Dawn

Spiderman is nothing like Arachnophobia

and Supermans only weakness was kryptonite...

I found some various articles on what I thought maybe he could be talking about or interpreted from what he heard or seen.....

I Googled various shit like:

Hispanic Spiderman is the devil

Latino Batman

Mexican Superman, Spiderman, Batman

This is what I come up with:

(BESIDES ALL THE OTHER PHOTOS ALREADY POSTED ABOVE)

Miles Morales first appeared in Ultimate Fallout #4 (August 2011), following the death of Peter Parker. A teenager of Black Hispanic descent, Miles is the second Spider-Man in the Ultimate Marvel continuity.^[2] Although Morales features in the Ultimate Comics: Spider-Man comic book series, he is not the lead character in the Ultimate Spider-Man animated TV series that debuted in April 2012 on Disney XD.^[3] Reaction to the character varied, with some, including Spider-Man's creator, Stan Lee, approving the creation of a positive role model for non-white children, to displeasure at the replacement of Peter Parker, with some decrying it as a publicity stunt motivated by political correctness, a charge Alonso denied. Alexandra Petri of The Washington Post called for the character to be judged on the quality of its stories, which have garnered positive reviews.^[4]

The character possesses powers similar to those of the original Spider-Man, which were derived from the bite of a spider genetically engineered by Spider-Man's nemesis Norman Osborn in an attempt to duplicate those abilities.

When the Marvel Comics staff decided that the Ultimate universe's Peter Parker would be killed in the 2011 storyline "Death of Spider-Man," the character Miles Morales was created.^[6] Although Morales is the first black Spider-Man, he marks the second time a Latino character has taken the Spider-Man identity.Miguel O'Hara, who is of half Mexican descent, was the title character in the series Spider-Man 2099.^[7] Morales has replaced Parker as Spider-Man only in Ultimate Marvel, a parallel universe that re-imagines the characters.

"God's End": The stunning alternative Superman comic done by two Mexican

Gerardo Preciado and Daniel Bayliss have taken the liberty of creating one of the best Superman stories of recent times...

"God's End" . "The end of God." So called this magnificent comic done by Mexican duo composed by Gerardo Preciado (screenplay) and Daniel Bayliss (art). They met studying architecture and his love for comics, took them to work together. They set out to create a graphic novel, but before that and only in order to practice, Preciado Bayliss told him an idea of Batman and the Joker. The drew, posted on his blog and stunned thousands of fans around the world for its astonishing level both in history and in art. "The Deal" presents a macabre confrontation between the Dark Knight and the Clown of Crime, with a twisted twist to the relationship of the mythical characters of Gotham City. You can enjoy it here .

Well, now decided to take the greatest of superheroes, Superman, in a history of only 5 pages, plus a cover-and what they re doing. In "God's End" we see a Superman with a very long beard and white hair, with more than 500 years, reflecting while visiting new planets ... but it's best not to advance further. Low and be surprised with this comic, although not official DC Comics, is the best that has been written and drawn Superman in recent years.

As to if any of this shit has anything to do with
my neighbors statement I have no clue and don't really care, but just thought it was funny and would share. My kids had a good laugh about it too....
seeings how they look at those Superheros as being just that.... fictional superheros!

"THE BIG BANG THEORY" AND OTHER SHOWS BANNED IN CHINA

2014-05-09T01:45:00.001-07:00

After the country banned streaming of the hit CBS series last month, the show's creator had a special message for the Chinese government at the end of their "Star Wars" themed episode. For anyone unfamiliar with the nerd-centric show, each episode ends with a "vanity card" from Chuck Lorre sharing his thoughts and opinions with the audience before the screen cuts to black.

CHUCK LORRE PRODUCTIONS, #456
"The government of China has decided that “The Big Bang Theory” is not appropriate for viewing. I have to assume there was some sort of formal process involved in this decision. In all likelihood, a gaggle of communists sat in a darkened room and watched a few episodes. I like to think they took notes that were later used to formulate an official document that detailed the corrosive cultural effects caused by the shenanigans of Sheldon, Leonard, Penny, Wolowitz, Koothrappali, Amy and Bernadette. I like to think that during these screenings one of them laughed out loud and was promptly sent to a re-education camp on the outskirts of Urumqi. I like to think one of them was reassured by how often the characters on the show eat Chinese takeout. I like to think there’s a Chinese word for shenanigans. Regardless, the whole affair makes me very happy. The overlords of 1.3 billion people are afraid of our sitcom. Exactly what we were going for!"

Screenshots of the message have been widely shared on social media in China – and just like BBT, the threads have been quickly censored.

China's State Administration of Press, Publication, Radio, Film and Television hasn't explained why it targeted "The Big Bang Theory," "The Good Wife," "NCIS" and "The Practice." So it's possible that -- for some obscure reason – regulators found something subversive or threatening about those four shows.
But here's another theory that makes more sense: it's just business.

China's powerful state broadcaster CCTV covets the young, educated audiences that watch U.S. shows on online video sites, as well as the small but fast-growing sums of ad money they bring in. And CCTV -- a bastion of traditional, state-approved fare -- might be hoping to edge out the private Internet companies and broadcast more foreign fare itself.

Online video is growing fast in China, generating $2.07 billion in revenues in 2013, up 41.9 % from 2012, according to iResearch. The bulk of that is through advertising.

U.S. shows represent a fraction of shows available online, though they're a targeted way for marketers to reach sought-after consumers, many of whom view the shows on their mobile phones.

Watch "The Walking Dead" on platform Youku this week and you might see pre-roll ads for Honda, Vidal Sassoon and Kindle.

Until now, China regulators have been hands-off about content on streaming portals, creating an odd mismatch: Online video sites have been largely free to air what they want, unlike movie theaters (only 34 foreign films can be screened here each year) and TV channels (China has even limited the number of popular singing competitions and required them to be less showy.)

Online crackdown

This month has brought a campaign by Chinese authorities on "cleaning the Internet": shutting down pornography sites, and punishing internet giant Sina for permitting obscene fare online by taking away several of its licenses for publishing content.

The crackdown on the TV shows, apparently part of the "cleanup," generated a strong reaction online. On Weibo, China's Twitter TV, fans reacted to the news with emoticons that screamed, cried or vomited.

It's uncertain how big the impact will be.......
