Mohop sandals are environmentally friendly, comfortable, and best of all, allow nearly infinite design options with just one pair of wooden soles. Simply lace any ribbon through the patent-pending elastic loops to create your own one-of-a-kind, custom-fit pair! Mohop shoes are individually hand made by Annie Mohaupt in their studio in Chicago.
This innovative shoe has been dubbed the ‘infinity sandal’. Essentially, the wearer can easily customize her shoes by changing the ribbons that tie the shoes on. Different lengths and styles of ribbons can be used to achieve a virtually infinite number of looks with just one pair of wooden soles. So anybody can play Imelda Marcos without requiring the budget and storage space for 5,000 shoes!

The curved shape of the footbed provides even support along the length of the foot, alleviating the typical fatigue points at the heel or ball of the foot. The proprietary elastic loops allow the ribbon ties to move with the foot, eliminating the blisters and chafing associated with most new sandals.

Mohops are meant to be worn frequently and eventually they may get dirty or scratched. The shoes feature a durable hand-rubbed finish - to clean, simply wipe them with cool water and a mild detergent. Rubbing a dab of mineral or olive oil on any scratches will make them virtually disappear. Most ribbons can be machine or hand washed.

Sometimes, in the immortal words of the queen of glamour herself, Marilyn Monroe, “Diamonds are a girl’s best friend.” While finding a pair of diamond studded shoes might be quite difficult, not to mention quite costly, we’ve got the next best thing. The shoes have some serious bling! They are completely encrusted with Austrian crystals, and they are a bit pricy. So what if you are a bride on a budget but still want show stopping shoes? Well believe it or not, this is not all that difficult to do on your own. You simply need to go to the craft store, or order online, some Austrian crystals.

There are many sites that sell large amounts of them for a very small price and in a variety of colors. So all you non-traditional brides or their bridesmaids can all bling their shoes to match their gown (and if you do it yourself, it’s cheaper than dying). Depending on the material your shoes are made of, you can simply glue them on. You will need a bit of patience as this is a lot of gluing. Just be sure that you choose glue that is appropriate for the material your shoes are made of. Fabric shoes can use a variety of glues, just be sure that it is clear drying glue so that you don’t see it. If the shoes are made of leather or synthetic leather it can be a bit tougher to find something that will stick, but not impossible. The staff at the craft store should be able to advise you.

You have seen those arm bracelets that look like snakes and that coil up the upper arm. Well know you can get wedding shoes that have a similar design. According to Designer Gallery, these are the very latest in designer shoes. These shoes are high heel but and have a kind of flexible chain that cuts across the toe to strap the shoe on the foot. Then coiling up from beneath the arch of the sole is a long winding embrace of chain that grips around the ankle and curls up the leg three or four times. If you want a really distinctive look that is both gladiator and kind of Egyptian in style these would do the trick. They would certainly fit the bill if you wanted to wear them with a Greek Goddess style of dress that have tunic or empire waist styles. They would look great showcased with a wedding dress that has an irregular hem of some kind.

Are you looking for a wedding shoe that is both elegant and sexy? We think a t-strap would be perfect. These shoes are totally in right now and making even more of a come back for the 2009 summer and and fall. The straps can come in circular or square designs and be encrusted with gems. They look great in white, but absolutely fantastic in black. We think that whatever your style, you could find a perfect pair from Nina, picture above. And, as you can see, they are all under $200 at Zappos.
