That way, you can get new ideas, find out what works, and what doesn't.

Last September I took a drive up to my home town and spent the night at my brother's house in Vermont. The next morning I took photos of a remote covered bridge on the Green River. On the way home I crossed the French King Bridge that spans the Connecticut River along Rt. 2 in Massachusetts. This is pretty cool bridge in The Pagan Sphinx's territory.

The colors had not developed yet and it was my intention to return later and shoot them again. Alas, weekend after weekend of bad weather prevented me from returning to get better shots before the fall colors wained.

Looking East across the 782 foot span.
<img src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_lfIAxnZB-v8/SvV4C9LnFVI/AAAAAAAAICQ/ntPlZ7XCGVg/s800/DSC_0149.JPG" border="0" alt="©2009 ShootingMyUniverse"id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5401355320279110994" />

Two pictures of the Connecticut River looking north as the morning clouds burn off.
<img src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_lfIAxnZB-v8/SvV4DCAx-NI/AAAAAAAAICg/AEg4blur_ds/s800/DSC_0162-1.JPG" border="0" alt="©2009 ShootingMyUniverse"id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5401355321575864530" />

<img src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_lfIAxnZB-v8/SvV4C6CjqFI/AAAAAAAAICY/a0sNyn_zEYQ/s800/DSC_0153.JPG" border="0" alt="©2009 ShootingMyUniverse"id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5401355319435831378" />

140 feet above the Connecticut River, a spider decide to try to catch dinner. These pictures will gives one the idea that the ocean changes from instant to instant.

The ocean changes in space and time. I am standing in a safe place, yet not more than twenty feet from where I stand is a place where I could be killed. The sea rolls and thunders. The waves crash, you can hear cobbles crack against each other and the dull thud of moving boulders.

These seascapes have lots of information in them. Each one could stand on its own. As a group, they give a temporal perspective.

The first four shots are of one wave coming in. Look to the right of Thacher Island on the horizon of this picture. The uneven horizon is not do to an aberration but is actually due to the rollers crossing the open ocean.

<img src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_lfIAxnZB-v8/Stu7bZzc3kI/AAAAAAAAH7U/Zw99z5vwpiI/s800/DSC_0019.JPG" border="0" alt="©2009 ShootingMyUniverse"id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5394111058163850818" />

<img src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_lfIAxnZB-v8/Stu7WniAzBI/AAAAAAAAH7M/aIck_byIJsk/s800/DSC_0020.JPG" border="0" alt="©2009 ShootingMyUniverse"id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5394110975949458450" />

<img src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_lfIAxnZB-v8/Stu7WE9kBVI/AAAAAAAAH7E/_N3wJrFWplE/s800/DSC_0021.JPG" border="0" alt="©2009 ShootingMyUniverse"id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5394110966669772114" />

<img src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_lfIAxnZB-v8/Stu7V8gYQpI/AAAAAAAAH68/MtF50g-0tjM/s800/DSC_0022.JPG" border="0" alt="©2009 ShootingMyUniverse"id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5394110964399882898" />

The next two shots are of the same roller coming in.
