Cowl Neck Short Dress

My bank account is always in a miserable state right after the holidays, but that usually doesn't stop my from roaming around the mall and still looking around. With my nearly empty pockets, I decided to stop into the Forever 21 by my apartment to see if I could score anything cheap and cute.

I usually hate shopping in any Forever 21 store for a number of reasons. 1) It's always packed with giddy 15 year old girls dragging their pimply little boyfriends around the store. 2) The fitting rooms are guarenteed to be dusty and you will aways find someone's old chewing gum stuck somewhere in there. 3) The racks are always packed and never sized. 4) You need to be willing to dig through piles and piles of tacky clothes to find one good, cheap find.

With that being said, I usually find myself ordering things online when I'm looking for a cheap fix instead of torturing myself by going into the store. However, did manage to find a few cute cheap and cheerful finds on my last trip. Here are a few of the things I picked up...

I have about a million basic jersey tops and tees that I wear constantly with denim and lots of accessories, but that can get pretty boring after a while. This casual jersey top is perfect for those days when all you want to do is be comfortable, but a basic tee just isn't cutting it for you. I love how the neckline is wide and the ruffle is relaxed on this top compared to a lot of the stuffy high necklines I've seen on ruffled tops for spring. I also adore the rosy color! Amazing Sale Finds at ShopButante.com

One of my all-time favorite online boutiques is ShopButante.com. Instead of carrying everything and anything under the sun, ShopButante.com has a fabulous showcase of carefully selected pieces for the young and trendy crowd. The site is designed with the same fabulous style and accessibility that some of the other major independent high-end retailers online have, but ShopButante.com is much less overwhelming than most of those other huge sites. ShopButante.com feels like an actual "boutique," complete with a well though out store design and merchandise, instead of just a quickly set up online shop or one of those monstrously large online retailers.

Not only do I love this shop to begin with, it doesn't hurt that they are currently running an unbelievable sale! If you are going on vacation anytime soon or just want to stock up on some cute pieces for spring, this the place to go. While a lot of other sites are only offering their deepest discounts on the real dogs from last season, Shopbutante.com has a great selection of special pieces with plenty of sizes left and deep mark downs! Cheap & Cheerful Find: Black Onyx and Rose Quartz Necklace

I have a pretty nice collection of long necklaces already, but I might have to add this one because it's just an absolutely adorable steal! Deal of the Day: Jalda Bean Clutch Was $475, Now $250

Jalda offers a variety of beautifully crafted and timeless handbags without being plastered in logos like a lot of other popular designer bags. Although I love my logo-carrying Marc Jacobs bags, I can also appreciate bags that don't necessarily have a widely recognizable name behind them. Smart shoppers know that you can only really carry the big logo bags when they are from the current season, but you can shamelessly carry a bag for years to come if it's not ridden with popular logos. For this reason, I've been lusting after several of the Jalda bags since they first came out.

When I came across this Jalda Stingray Bean Clutch on sale, I feel in love with it even more! It was originally $475, but is now on sale for $250 at Luna Boston. The texture and shine of the exterior stingray leather is to die for, while the interior of the bag is fully lined with buttery suede. Absolutely gorgeous.

While NeimanMarcus.com and Saks.com rarely offer deep discounts for shoes online (even in this economy), Barneys.com apparently has no shame.

In Search of Stacked Mid-Heel Campus Boots: NO MORE FRYE!

	So I've been searching for the perfect pair of mid-heel casual boots to just knock around in. I want a comfortable pair that would be great for walking all over campus, running errands, shopping, and walking around the city in. Although I like the Frye campus boots, it seems like everyone and their mother has a pair. I'm kind of turned off by the idea of just buying a another pair from Frye and would rather get something a little different that lacks the tired Frye logo. These See by Chloe Pocket Boots have that same Frye-feel to them, but they are the most beautiful shade of blue suede. I feel like the fact that they are suede makes them a little more feminine and softer looking compared to the roughness of Frye leather boots. I absolutely adore the blue color, but they also come in a sandy taupe. These are definitely my favorite in my search so far! Available at shopbop.com for $515.
	I also really liked these Bronx Footwear Yannick Suede High Heel Boots in cognac, but I didn't think they were as "special" as the See by Chloe boots. On the other hand, these Bronx Footwear boots offer a similar style for much less at $200. The only problem for me is that the heel a little on the high side for what I was looking for. 	These Ash Suede Vanda Draped Boots are definitely another good option. The ruching details make it a bit different and the heel is a little more feminine-looking than most of the chunky heels on classic Frye boots. Another plus for these boots is that they were originally $330, now $165 at shopbop.com . My size is still available, but probably not for long at that price...so I need to decide quick!
	The last pair that I found were these Laredo (8349) Boots in Sand that were originally $238, now $164.90 at Lori's Shoes. I liked this pair because I thought the neutral color would go with just about anything and they look like they have a really sturdy heel that would be great for running around in. I've never ordered anything from Lori's shoes before, so I'll be sure to review the experience if I end up choosing these boots!

Bluefly.com is always a good place to go for bargains, but sometimes you really have to search through the site to find anything good. I came across this Design History Pleated Jersey Bubble Top that was originally $70, now $42 at BlueFly.com. It looks like it would make a super comfy and trendy alternative to a basic tee.
