I'm hitting the road next week and although I'd like to own a new classy suitcase I think this Swarovski Crystal Trunk by Samsonite Black Label is a little over-the-top for my style. Patterned after a popular 1920s style and covered thoroughly in sparkling, glittering crystals, this trunk is a combination of flash and class modern bling on a vintage design.

The trunks can be purchased in a limited edition of just 30 and despite the fact that they were available on Colette just a week ago, today they're no more listed.

I'm always somewhat split when considering liking box-style clutches since despite the fact that I like just how most of them look, carrying a hard-sided bag with pointed corners and harsh surface area textures doesn't feel very deluxe in my hands. This Shagreen Mini Audiere (in pink) by R&Y Augousti could possibly be worthy of a compromise, though. It's a very built rectangle decorated with red carnelian accessories, lined inside with leather, and offering a simple but pretty push-lock closure at the top. I favor the concept of an envelope clutch, and initially this one attracted me, but the more I see it the uglier I think it is. It's the Micol Metallic Envelope Clutch by D&G and it's pretty much exactly what it sounds like a large leather envelope. It zips closed rather than folds over as a typical envelope, and from the photos it feels as if it's somewhat embarrassing. It features a leather pull using an attached silver padlock on the front side, a contrast panel and clinging key bell on the back, and (possibly the neatest feautre in my opinion) the interior is lined in a nice shade of pink silk. $695

I'm not crazy about the triangular shape of this crocodile pelham shopper bag from Gucci but otherwise it's a standard, versatile shoulder bag that's sure to be useful as well as fashionable. Featuring crocodile in dark green with silver hardware and two braided straps, the bag also has horsebit accents, tab-snap closure, protective feet on the bottom, and an inside zip pocket. Measuring 19.3" x 5.1" x 11" it's an attractive and generously sized bag but I must admit I'm not sure what exactly warrants the sky high (even for Gucci) price of $22,900.
