Pink handmade masquerade

2013-11-01T02:32:00.002-07:00

Again, I have to use this tiny device, I hope I don't misspell anything. This

very pinky mask made for Qaseh for an event at her school.

She raves everything Barbie, pink and princesses. So I have

tried making something as in Barbie and the Musketeers.

Anyway I think this pinky handmade masquerade is quite neat!

She had it on from morning until much later...

It has been a long break that I took after I have my second child.
I am so glad that now that I have more time so I can sit
and write. I am very uncomfortable writing this little piece on
a smart phone probably because I am a newbie to technology or
age just catching up and has its toll on my eye sight.

I will write more once I have the chance to play with my laptop.
Just to say now that, I am back!

And this time I have my tutu on.

Once upon a time - A cake Lady

2012-05-25T09:08:00.000-07:00

This year has been a mix of happy things and a lost for me. To carry on in this world, I 've been told that I just need to be strong.

An article written by Audrey Teoh, in Gorgeous Magazine featuring Nalani Mutthiah, an inspiration to many women, with humble beginning is now a Sugar Art Diva defines strength (in a woman).

Knowing her personally, I know by heart what she spoke about in the article is just one tiny bit of her struggling stories. Initiating work from home often seems easy, ask this woman she'll ask you - do you think you have what it takes?

Family first and at the same time chasing her own dream, has not been easy, especially when she had it all and she had to let it go to pursue what she believes strongly --> FAMILY!

Like her fb Sugar ARt Diva, from just tea party to wedding, she caters whatever that you wish for.

Lucky me, at times I got to eat the leftover and sometimes as food taster.

So mesmerized and gone deep into black and white these days, I am so drawn into this collection of arts by tovelisa.blogspot.com. Am yet to find what Kr means, a currency that is so foreign to me. Forget borders and nationalities, art and passion has no boundaries.

Carolyn Pearce does it again!

I started learning embroidery so that one day I can recreate this Village Bag and hopefully will be able to put all the creativity learnt into good use. Hopefully that we can do gathering one day and work on this project!

Bake For Fun @ Jeumpa D'ramo

2011-12-21T00:47:00.000-08:00

Took place in Jeumpa D'ramo, Bangsar, we tried to make our kids build and decorate a ginger bread house. Since Qaseh and Jehan were too occupied with their own "emo" moment, Aneesha and Nandini took over the task.

However, the kids finally came around and did decorate the house with candies and sweeties. Even though the activity was bake for fun, the highlight of the event was chilling by the pool. Kids, kids, kids!

p/s: Rumour has it that most of the houses were built by the moms! ooopss...

T-shirt painting by the waterfall

2011-12-19T23:09:00.000-08:00

What a brilliant idea by my ex-school mate (so proud of her!) to have an event by the waterfall and recommended T-shirt painting to be part of it. In 30 minutes the participants had come out with their original artwork showcasing their talent, what a great way to do team building.

The weather was just right, after a heavy rain followed by little drizzling, I was walking from the entrance towards the location. Unaware how far it will take, taking small steps and eyes wandering looking for my ex-school mate or a group that that suspiciously looked like a group of UPM team, finally after a 20 minutes of searching I found them. Yes, I had thought of it, but the reception of network that I am on, was pointless in Sg Congkak area. It had shown absolute no connection but I can see the time, at least. To add magical effect on the day of the event, as soon as I reached the location, rain stopped and the sun started shining.

The group was supportive, fun and sporting. Other activities were games like throwing balloons which filled with water, musical chair for kids, fill in water in bottles and cake decorating.

Many thanks to Wan Suzana and Dr Malina Osman for the great time and opportunity and not to forget the souvenier, a set of coaster, loving it!
