If I remember correctly he was usually in the principal's office. Pretty much I will do anything that involves a scavenger hunt. I love scavenger hunts and I am being inspired for my next party as we speak. Though that is really besides the point.

What if when you found the delicious plate of gingerbread cookies his head or arm was already eaten? Oh how disappointment would overcome your face, as you were sure some gross, booger picking, no manners brat had got to the cookies before you and put it back half eaten. Well at your holiday gathering you could use the ever popular term from my elementary school days with a good, "psych!". I am a big fan of "psych" and the laughter that will surely ensue with these ABC Gingerbread Cookie Cutters. ABC of course standing for "Already Been Chewed" not "Another Bad Creation", although both bring back special memories from my childhood. Iesha, she was the girl that they you never had, and you wanted to get to know her better.

They are cookie cutters that make it look like a bite has been taken, when of course it has not. I am particularly fond of the faces that have been added in frosting to make it look like the cookies are pretty bummed they are missing appendages. In short I think they are hilarious, so they of course make my list of fun stuff.

<img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/__Q-zxgwkuDc/RvlcA8SQ7yI/AAAAAAAAAHY/7c3q8SzyyQU/s400/abc+cookies.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5114220023108398882" />

I saw them first here.....
http://www.perpetualkid.com/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWPROD&ProdID=1402

Green is the New Black

Everyone is going green these days. Whether it be with a Toyota Prius or recycling or however else they choose to express their green-ness. With the new trend of being green came the recent phenomenon of Anya Hindmarch's "I'm Not A Plastic Bag" canvas bag. Adorable and trendy, it has sold out worldwide. Now I fully support people going green and trying to reduce their footprint on this world and why not do it with a chic bag, but how come it isn't popular to do so until it says that you are doing it on the side of the bag. Correct me if I am wrong, but weren't canvas bags around for a while now? Granted this one is much cuter than many you will find, but I am not about to be one of the people paying up to 200x what it originally costs on ebay to get one. I mean for goodness sakes people were getting trampled in China trying to get these bags and in turn they will no longer be sold there. As far as I am concerned, trampling people is much worse than using a plastic bag.
Now for those of you out there who still wish to be greener and make a statement while doing so, there is a new and much funnier choice. Interesting how it always comes back to what's funny to me. The hilarious people whom I am sure I want to be friends with over at Fashion Indie have come out with their retort in the form of a bag. The "I'm Not a Douche Bag" canvas bag. To me this is amazingly funny and also green. Maybe not as cute of a shape but definitely makes a statement. This bag can be yours for the reasonable price of just 20 green George Washigtons or 1 green Andrew Jackson. Now one could argue that making a statemnt against making a statement is apples to apples but any bag you choose to use instead of paper/plastic can help, so I am all for any "green" bag you choose.
Maybe Kermit the Frog was wrong when he sang, "It ain't easy being green."

The "I'm Not a Douche Bag" can be found here.
http://fashionindie.com/events/2007/07/20/im-not-a-plastic-bag-gets-a-kick-in-the-canvas/

Here are a few other sites to find cute bags that are just as world friendly.
http://www.llbean.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/CategoryDisplay?page=totes&categoryId=5236&storeId=1&catalogId=1&langId=-1&qs=5090883-PrfmcsGoogle_105177454

http://www.amazon.com/Recycled-Cotton-Canvas-Tote-Bag/dp/B000I2PYYC

http://www.reusablebags.com/store/grocery-gear-c-39.html

Don't Mind if I do.

Anyone who has ever seen my closet knows I am obsessed with flip flops. I have probably 50 pairs. It is insanity I know this, but I LIVE in flip flops. My toes like to feel the breeze as much as I do. So I can spot a good flip flop when I put it on. Well I just got these amazingly comfortable ones through somebody at work who has some friends over at the company. Ocean Minded is a newer company and focuses on sandals. They have many different stlyes and I love that they donate a portion of the profits to the Surfrider Foundation.. I just got my grateful hands on a pair of Mokuluas, they are in the men's section but are really unisex. They remind me of Rainbows in style but not in the way in which you have to get blisters and kill your feet for a while until you break them in. The second I put them on, I swear I heard my feet yell thank you. I also got a super comfy and more girly pink and brown pair called Sirens that have the perfect amount of give in the heel to make you feel like you are walking on air. Last but not least I got a pair of their womens' Kirras. They seem slightly dressier to me, but not too much. I used to love my rainbows but I am an Ocean Minded convert. Below are my 3 new pairs followed by a few others I like alot. They all come in lots of colors.

Get them now...your feetskis will thank me.
http://www.oceanminded.com/store/c-4-Footwear.aspx?reqid=4&reqProdTypeId=4&subsectionname=footwear

I'm going to slip into something more comfortable.

I love a slipper. They are like a hug for your feet. I like hugs. These were what I believe to be missing for so many years from many a last minute halloween costume. They are similiar to an ugg in comfiness except you aren't really supposed to wear them outside. This is clear by the holes in the bottom of my first pair that I insisted on walking my dog in on the streets of New York. I have considered getting them resoled with a thicker bottom just so I could wear them anywhere. A pair has found a home under my desk at work and a few have found homes in my closet waiting for me to get cold again. So say it with me now....Hugs not Drugs.....give your feet a hug.

I have found some in stores but I also picked up a few here.
http://www.siamese-dream.com/page/siam1/PROD/Shoes/slippers-cb-cowgirl

A rose by any other name would smell as sweet.

If you haven't tried The Thymes products your need to get with the times because they will be your new favorite soaps, lotions and other goodies. One of my now long time obsessions is their Mandarian Coriander products. My obsession started a few years back, when I swear I used to go to the bathroom at my friends house over and over just so I could wash my hands. I would then sit there and smell my hands again and again. Well after depleting my friend's soap enough to possibly start to irritate, I thought it best to get my own. When I started to look for it I found they had lots of other stuff in the smell too. One of the best things about the mandarian coriander is it takes out bad smells, like onions and garlic, really well. I now also obsess over their linen spray, cleaner spray, and room fragrance.
Then, because apparently they love me, they came out with Kimono Rose which is also "yummy smell" in a bottle. This scent has a line more for bath and body and I can't get enough of the roll-on perfume. It will change your life. It doesn't really smell like roses to me, but if their is a rose that smells like this I need to plant it.

Heaven scent from here.
www.thethymes.com

Build a little birdhouse in your soul.

I like birds. I don't like birds enough to want to have a pet bird and I actually know several people who fear all birds and are sure they will get caught in their hair or peck their eyes out anytime they see one near them. Running and screaming usually ensue. But I feel like we can all agree that these little bluebirds are not only harmless but also insanely cute. They are a little condiment dish and a small pitcher .What a great additon they would make to your house and how they could sing their little silent songs all the way into your heart. They actually make me wax poetic about the adorable blue birds in Mary Poppins. This is the only pet bird I would be willing to have in my life at this point.

They don't sell puppies at this petstore but these birds can be yours.
http://store.heliotropehome.com/blpiandcobo.html

Traveling with Panache.

I am sure I need not mention my love for laughter again, but the desire to laugh in all circumstances rules my life in many ways. So why not laugh while doing one of least pleasurable things about traveling. Trying to find your suitcase on the carousel at the airport. Avoid Stealer McTakeyourbags and mark them so they know without a shadow of a doubt that this bag is not theirs. This won't really help you against Mr. and Mrs. Hooverinfrontofallthebags and his kids Sitonthecarousel and Yelltoomuchwhentheyseetheirbag but every little bit of help can make for more sane traveling. I love to travel but I hate to fly...but since I can't really have one without the other I try to make my self as happy as possible while doing it.

I bought mine while I was living in New York, but I also found some here.
http://store.heliotropehome.com/pabaluta.html

I need more walls.

So one of my favorite new features in my kitchen is the amazing new decals I put onto my tray ceiling. Everyone always asks me where I go them, so because I am a sharer I will show you. It is this website called Blik and they have the most insanely cool stuff. I love tromp l'oeil looking things also which is why I just bought the chandeleir, but the iron vines are already on the ceiling in my kitchen. They also will make decals of words...any sentences or poetry or quotes or whatever your little mind can imagine.

Above are some of my favorites. I love it there. One of the most lively and exciting places to be in the world in my opinion. So to get me through between visits I like to have little reminders of New York around my house. This in my mind is a perfect choice. Part comedy and part usefulness. As opposed to the real thing you don't have to worry about falling into the ground if it gets moved only to hope to be saved by the teenage mutant ninja turtles and it is definitely cleaner than the real thing. It comes in all different cities such as Paris, London, L.A., and Boston. I am going to pick one up for my patio and cross my fingers that my dogs don't make it into their next chewtoy. One can dream.

Esta aqui.
http://www.perpetualkid.com/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWPROD&ProdID=1420

Dreaming of Venice.

I dream of going to Italy and Venice would definitely have to be a stop on my trip. For now the closest I get to Venice is Venice Beach which although also interesting with it's half naked rollerskating guitar players and barrage of fortune tellers and "artists" it is not exactly the beautiful romantic setting that I imagine Italy to be. So until I get together the dough to actually make it to Venice and ride on the famed gondolas I think I might find solace in the Luigi Spoonrest. Luigi is adorable, just as I imagine my gondoliers would be and he might not get us very far on any rivers but I do imagine he knows a song or two about spoons that he could sing to me while I stir my spaghetti sauce.

He first walked into my dreams here.
http://www.perpetualkid.com/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWPROD&ProdID=2075

I heart old people.

Joy. That is what came into my life when I found these. Comedy with older folks....love it. So if you have a sassy grammy, a poppy, a grandma, or grandpa, a nana, or papa with a sense of humor this might be the perfect gift. Of course you could always wear them as a shout out to the elderly in your life. But really anyone could wear this if they have a funny bone. These genius temporary tattoos might just make you as hardcore and punk as you have always wished to be. Plus they are a lot better deal than the real thing.

Find some here.
http://www.perpetualkid.com/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWPROD&ProdID=2205

Only because kids are cute.

This is so cute. I love things with a bit of irony. Perhaps a great shower gift or present for a friend with a small child, and of course good for you baby mamas out there or even for a few of my really short friends......I won't name names.....(cough..christy....cough). The adorable kid in this picture is enough reason for me to post this alone. He is too much.

I saw it here first.
http://loftparty.com/boost-p-830.html

Hysterical with a bit of Crazy mixed in.

So it seems many of the things I love make me laugh. This is no exception. I display this proudly in my kitchen. You could call it many things, none of which is subtle. You could call it a bit nuts, perhaps an art piece in the form of a knife block, most defenitely a conversation piece. I just call it amazing.
They call it "The Ex" Knife Block. It comes in tons of colors. I, being the hot pink lover that I am, of course chose that. My other favorite finish is the stainless steel. I thought it best to stay away from any of them that could be considered "people colored", as to of course remain politically correct. So whether you want your very own voodoo doll-esque knife block or just an interesting piece for the kitchen sure to inspire oooohs and awes, this could accomplish both of your goals. I won't judge you for your motives.

Available many places but this one shows you many color choices.
http://loftparty.com/the-ex-knife-holders-c-128.html

Humor even in Patio Furniture.

I love outdoor living. My dream is to one day have a huge space for outdoor parties and BBQs full of little nooks, pools, waterfalls, and interesting features. As much as my dream is starting to sound like I want my backyard to look like the playboy mansion, in my mind it is much different. For now I am appeased with my cute little backyard with a nice outdoor dining set, my BBQ, a fountain and my amazing hammock.
For those who know me I love silly things......I often decorate with a sense of humor. To me these bring a sense of silly whimsy to the outdoors. They go very well with one of my mottos.... to never take yourself too seriously. They are plastic but have the shape of a more elegant piece of furniture and a classy yet silly feel. I adore them and applaude the humor of Philippe Starck for designing them. If only he would make them cost a bit less they would already be in my backyard.

Get them here along with many other amazing pieces.
http://www.dwr.com/productdetail.cfm?id=1767

Let's start off with a Party!

So....... Welcome to Shopping Moll! I thought I would start off with something that makes me want to throw parties. I got these cups a while back and am waiting for the perfect oppurtunity to use them. Forget about those silly glass markers....drunk people never remember which color their drink marker is....and who wants to give people who are drinking a sharpie to write their name on the cup. That's just asking for it! If you happen to have too much and fall asleep, you will be like Ross and Rachel on that episode of Friends with a mustache or whiskers before you know it.
So because I love you and want you to remain mustache free.....that goes for both sharpies and real mustaches actually (boys and girls included), I present you with Pick Your Nose Cups.

Each cup comes with a nose on it, so when you have a drink it will look like you are wearing a fake nose. Go incognito..people won't even recognize you. I believe in laughter and this makes me laugh, which in turn always makes for a good party. And if you really insist on having a mustache against my strong urgency otherwise....there is cups with mustaches on them also.

Available at many online stores but here is a good one.
http://loftparty.com/pick-your-nose-p-819.html
