We all need to manage our time, creative energy and boost our output. But in this toolkit, I'm sharing the gadgets that I have discovered to maintain my focus, replenish my creative energy and maximize my output.

Stay focused in this moment

· Boomerang: This app is useful to manage emails for example: Schedule to send an email later on, or when getting an email from a business accountant, so use this app to schedule for it to come back to the inbox on Friday afternoon.In that way, we don't have the email cluttering the inbox, and be confident to be reminded when the time is right. For Gmail, Outlook, and Android. Followup.cc is similar, and is platform independent which is great.

· Freedom App: How this app actually works is that you can set it to block certain websites on a schedule. For example, maybe you never want to let yourself visit Facebook before noon. This can be helpful in case you have as strong desire to visit certain websites because of a habit, but you must manage your time so you have to control that.

· AdBlock: will block all distracting ads. This Chrome extension block all ads, so you don't get distracted and forget what you are actually trying to accomplish. AdBlock is super popular and it is free as well.

· Kill News Feed: Sometimes we need to use Facebook for work like FB Groups, or some people just find themselves going there without even being aware of it. This Chrome extension kills the news feed, so you don't immediately get distracted and forget why you're there. It is free and it might help you focus.

· Scrivener: There are plenty of apps that claim to give you a distraction-free writing experience, but most of these don't live up to that promise. Evernote's "full-screen mode", for example, stretches the writing across the whole screen, and has extra clutter on the interface. Scrivener is the only one that delivers. Personally, I find that it is much better if you can control the width of the screen in full-screen mode. The Scrivener software is indispensable to professional writers, but it can be complex and intimidating at first. In fact, it's like the Photoshop of writing. Many people prefer using this software to write a book and for blog posts as well.

· Video Speed: If you enjoy speed and watch a bunch of videos like I do, then you need this to speed up videos because some of them are way too slow. I have used Video Speed for a while and it works great for me, so try it out. It is a Chrome extension that is free and if you don’t like Video Speed then there are other choices to pick from.

· Noise-cancelling headphones: or Noise Cancelling Bluetooth Headphone Multifunctional Pair: It is actually hard to live without these ones if you start using them. If you ever work in public places like cafes, coworking spaces, restaurants or on airplanes then you can't beat these noise-cancelling headphones. In fact, I have tested the concept with cheaper brands, but they were not nearly as good. Seriously, these are the best noise-cancelling headphones money can buy.

· Portable word processor: This tool is something that some people use and you might have seen it, I have seen people using it in public places for writing. This thing is actually weird looking with a plastic keyboard with a tiny black-and-white LCD screen. It is most similar to a typewriter from back in the day. This tool is probably not great for developing great articles or books, but it's very handy to catch great ideas that come through your mind, that would likely be lost otherwise. Basically, it has no distractions for instance: no Internet, no notifications, and no software update alerts. This is a big deal today when we are bombarded with endless distractions. It is discontinued, so only available used, for as little as $25.

· Moleskine Notebook: This still works wonders, even though it may seem obvious or cliché, but I can't stress enough the power of sitting and brainstorming by hand. You're forced to think a little more slowly, and the high-quality paper of these notebooks are inspiring. I think it's important to invest in your ideas and feel worthy of it. That's the mindset I took when I first started buying these notebooks.

· Todoist: To-Do list and Task Manager
Todoist is a super popular tool that helps us to stay on track because it is so easy for many people to get distracted from what needs to get done in any given day. Todoist is there to help give us a peace of mind. That said, give it a try and if you don't like it just delete it. Todoist is a Chrome extension that is free.

· Mack's earplugs: It's easy to forget about good, old-fashioned earplugs. I wear these every morning during my writing session. I'm easily-distracted during that time, but that also makes it the best time to be creative. Great for anytime you're trying to focus, but don't want to listen to music. I can only use these plasticine earplugs because I think they are the best. I personally can't stand foam ones.

· Pavlok: As we know many people struggle with a Facebook addiction. They scroll through the news feed, literally telling themselves out loud to stop, but they can’t. Then this wristband came out, which delivers an electric shock. People are claiming that it worked incredibly well. After a couple of shocks, they didn't scroll through Facebook for more than a month. They used it a couple of times over the subsequent year so now they have their social media use under control.

Finally get good rest for a change

· Flu.x: For real, but by now almost everybody knows that the blue spectrum of light emitted by electronic devices disrupts your sleep cycle and are so bad for our health in many ways. The good news is that this free program takes out the blue light, based upon your sleep cycle. Get it and you will feel so much better.

· Blue-blocking goggles: Even though I use Flu.x on my computer, and even though many mobile devices now remove blue light close to bedtime, I still wear these for good measure, starting about two hours before bedtime. Believe it or not, but there's still blue-spectrum light in the lights around your house! I do get sleepier when I wear these, and I wake up more rested and refreshed.

· Mack's earplugs: Yep, it is hard to believe, but here are those earplugs again. That’s because it is hard to live without them. Some people wear them every night even while sleeping. Since we can only sleep so long, we might as well get the best sleep we can since we can’t catch up on sleep later. Plus, these are actually wonderful for travel as well.

· Sleeping mask: As we all know, we sleep better in total darkness because we aren't designed to sleep with lights. It seems it’s nearly impossible to keep a room completely dark because of all the lights outside and especially if you're traveling or live in a big city. Many people actually sleep with a mask every night. That seems really crazy, right? Just give it a try and you might actually sleep better.

· "Relax - Healing" app by Andrew Johnson: Andrew Johnson is a hypnotherapist as you might know and his things are really great. This app can help you to quickly get into a restful state, relax and it works wonders. You can also use it if you have trouble falling asleep. This guy has a group of apps that are really great for relaxing or reducing stress and they don’t cost much.
