Bill was the last of my Manchester voucher sessions I had to do the other week, his mum had received a voucher for Christmas and it was lovely to go there and meet Bill and her, and moreover to see their relationship. Bill absolutley adores his mum and spent pretty much 99% of the sessions staring at her and checking she hadn’t left him alone with this scary woman and her big black camera! Bill was an absolute corker and it was a gorgeous day, too (yeah, what happened to those??)

Everyone, I’d like you to meet Harley, Tia and Maisie! These guys are the cutest Staffie family I’ve met in a long time! They’re all Laura and her sister’s dogs, all a year apart from eachother and all super adorable and energetic! Oh and they looove sticks! Super love sticks!!

We met at Laura’s house and had a change of plan with our location due to some works at the local nature reserve, so we headed down to Trafford Water Park (Laura was one of my Manchester gift voucher sessions I had last week) and I have to say this was perfect! Not to mention it’s the dogs favouritest walk ever in the world ever!!

However, this session didn’t occur without a few ‘events’ both on my part, and both embarassing. Taking photos in the water, as a pet photographer does, with my wellies firmly on (in 24C it wasn’t the usual wellies weather!) I accidentally crouched down too low and sat in the water, so carried on ambling around after a giggle, letting the sun dry myself out. Then Laura tells me there is a Jetty just round the corner, and I get excited; we arrive at the jetty and I am even more giddy to see that there are two levels a higher, dry, ground level jetty and then one a step down that is covered in about an inch of water. I step down onto the lower jetty and next thing I know I am back down, camera just about above water, on this jetty. Ah it’s covered in slippy algae then!! So a wet moment later and after checking camera and phone where all in working order after this incident, we carry on. I didn’t quite dry out as quickly this time! Haha

Sorry for the immature blog post, but seriously, how can I not? I was literally creating explorer/saviour scenarios in my head when taking photos of this chap. And he was hilarious out and about, you’d have his attenton for 0.48423 seconds (ok, a lot longer actually) and then whoooooooooooosh he ran into the woods, and appeared a minute later goodness knows how far away – this lad gots speed!!

In the house, however. He is a right old snuggly boy. Such a babe!
I photographed Rambo’s three sisters last Autumn, so was absolutley delighted to photograph their new ‘baby’ brother! So you might see a couple of familiar faces in this post!

On Friday I headed into Keythorpe to spend the morning/day with Serena and all the dogs and animals she has on the farm! Had a fantastic time, and despite the cold freezing weather (I don’t do the cold, am a shivering blue-lipped wimp!).

Friday saw my first time photographing Goats, Pigs, Horses and Cows! So with all the ickle babies on the farm it was such a treat!!

Serena has a couple of her own Rotties, two working Labs (who actually work) and all the rescue dogs, too.
Her two working labs have done something (well all else they do, too!) right and have taught Keira, the pocket rocket Rottie how to rat and be a proper farm dog! These lot running around and being able to release their drive and energy as they so wish was really lovely to see!

Since there’s a lot of pictures to show (sorry, I couldn’t cut any of them down, too much to see!) – Keira may have featured on here a lot, I apologise slightly for that. I had no idea my obsession with her was proved in the results! Oops.

I’ll just throw you into the deep end and shove some doggie butts in your face! Haha

This is Ozzy! He is one of the rescue dogs at Keythorpe at the moment, he came in in a bit of a state and Keythorpe have really helped and are continuing to help him along in his progress, bless him.

Then there’s Tarryn – the youngest of the two working Labs – Annie was off sitting watching the world, so I didn’t get any pictures of her, sadly.

So, onto the farm animals and rest of the pics!

I told you about the ratting, right?

Keira and Tarryn were adament there was something in the car in the barn!

Yep! I had the absolute privelege(there’s too many ‘e’s in that isn’t there?) to photograph for the YKC at Crufts this weekend. All I can say, after copious amounts of ‘thank you’ repeated over and over again, is WOW.
I have never been to Crufts before! Shocking, right! So not only was it great to be photographing there, but to see it all for the first time was mind blowing! (as anyone that was there with me knows, running around the halls, squealing at all your favourite breeds probably isn’t so professional!

Having been to a couple of dog shows before, photographing at the Central Bedfordshire Canine Trust’s dog show, and Discover Dogs for the YKC, it wasn’t a totally new scenario thankfully – else I think my brain may have exploded with all this new information to take in! So knowing the basics in the show world and what is wanted/needed out of the photos did certainly help me!
What also helped was seeing a few familiar faces around, over the 3 days I was there – certainly made me relax a lot quicker!

I had an absolute blast, and it really was amazing watching all the handling, agility, obedience and other activites going on in the YKC ring – as well as being able to wander round and take everything else in, including the Discover Dogs section and all the breed classes going on in the other halls – as well as, of course, the ‘need’ to pop by all the rescue stalls, Greyhound stalls(DD included) and anything else Pointer related, too! I found myself ‘accidentially (on purpose) walking past the Greyhound rescue stalls and other places; Well – what is the point of going to Crufts and being surrounded by all those thousands of dogs without cuddling at least 50 of them? That’s my theory!!

I have decided to do the roundup blog posts on a Sunday now, as they are usually a much free-er day for me and easy for me to NOT forget posting!

This week saw me with another dog free day, so there is one day missing any animals! I think this’ll be something I’ll carry on, if I’m missing any animals I will fill the day’s photo with something music related!

I’m starting to lag with remembering to take a daily doggie photo too, I need a good ole kick to remind me! This is proving harder than I originall thought, but it’s not called a challenge for nothing!! (And this is why there’s a coupleof really bad photos in here, it’s been the last minute dogs sleeping doo-dah!)

Hi, Zulu here! I gots ta be quick because I’m not allowed near the laptop, but Mi photographer woman has gone out the room for a few minoots. I thought youd all likes to see my handsome face. I did some modelling today and fink it really shows off my good looks, I am pretending to play with my toys and bell at the moment, it’s called multi tasking. See I’m good like that, being a parrot n everyting, super smart!

I’ll give you a talking commentary of the photos, because again, I’m smart like that. I think at the end of this post you’ll realise I’m really smart!

This is me showing you all my lovely fluffy neck. Isn’t it lovely? It takes quite a lot for me to keep it looking this good, I spend hours groomink meself. This is my good side I think.

I was being nosey in this photo, the camera does funny things, and if you look down the lens you really CAN see the fairies, it’s just amazing, I’m tellin ya! Next time ya see the camera – look down it, you won’t be disappointed!  - But it’s not as fascinating as looking at my lovely beak.

Just look. My broad shoulders, straight back. I am just SO handsome! This is my front door, well it’s my loft door really, but I guard this from the humans, well just cos it’s funny actually, miss photographer woman is like a little ant underneath me when I guard my door like this. I’m the king of the castle!

But, you’ll never guess what! The cheeky photographer woman stood on a CHAIR! A chair! To makes herself taller than me so she could look down on ME! How very dare she, silly woman! This is also my good side. I am very handsome, don’t ya think? I get told my eyes are my best feature, after my beak, feathers, shoulders. Well I am just one big best feature!

Uh oh, she’s stomping down the stairs, must fly away and carry on playing with my toys lookin all inoncent, I hope you enjoyed looksin at my face, I’m very handsome.

Yep, so I think blogs are just on Sundays now. Sorry! I did have every intention to write one yesterday, but, it obviously slipped my mind! Blame it on the sunshine! (uh oh, now I’ve set myself off…)

This has been a couple of weeks where I am surprised I have even managed to take a photo a day, I am losing interest if I’m honest, but I’m hoping that’s the cold speaking and nothing else. My energy levels have been non existant the last week so inspiration has been thin on the ground, hence the one non ‘dog’ day in the middle of this week, apologies.

My usual (yet still not great) iphone photo taking standard hasn’t appeared this week and I have been very poor, sorry!

First off, I am soooooooo sorry this is so late, I have been super busy!
Second off, ‘this’ week and next week don’t feature many pets (tut) as I found myself, shockingly, living a life where I wasn’t living with, or around a dog or cat for a whole week! Not good, not good at all – it was horrible!

But the end of next week dogs return, so fear not!

Now those of you who know me personally, know that my second love after animals, is music. And that is why it’s mostly ‘music’ related photos that feature instead of dogs!
