I'm 15 and I'm a very active person. I never eat badly at all and don't usually crave bad foods But for the past week my body has felt really sore and lethargic – like, I've gone to bed for about 8 hours and woke up feeling exhausted. I haven't felt motivated to exercise and I had massive food cravings! I felt deprived and I desperately needed it and I didn't care if all the sugar and fat was bad for me. So anyways, I still feel lazy and a slug for not working out or being as healthy as I should, so what shouuld I do??

Suggestion:

just exercise. Force yourself to eat better again and give yourself small portions of sweets from time to time. Even if you dont want to just do it.

I did search this on google but it seems like I couldnt find the right answer. Those things like bright future or get the respect doesnt work on me. Its just not enough. So… Help?

Suggestion:

Steps (Tap on step to mark as complete)
1 of 4
Remind Yourself of Your Purpose – What are your goals in life? Where do you see yourself 5, 10, or even 20 years down the road? The time that you spend studying now will help to make your future dreams and aspirations a reality. Whether you are working towards a degree, a special skill, or some type of personal enrichment, the act of studying is like a bridge between where you are now and where you want to be in the future!
2 of 4
Realize Knowledge is Power – A well-educated person is a powerful person. Knowledge is priceless. A well-educated, knowledgeable person is a person who is better able to navigate and excel within the world around him/her. Think about how much more knowledge and ability you are gaining each time you sit down to study!
3 of 4
Dare Yourself to Succeed – Make it a point to dare yourself to surpass any real or imagined barriers that have been standing in your way. Personal achievement and fulfillment are wonderful things; allow yourself to do the things that can only contribute to your personal achievement and fulfillment – like studying!
4 of 4
Make a Decision – The difference between a mediocre result and an extraordinary result is more often than not related to effort. Do you want to be a mediocre student or person, or do you want to rise high and sail the heights? Forcing yourself to sit down and study, even when you don't feel like it, is a personal achievement in and of itself. Build on that!

For me, it's the love of learning. I want to be competent (at least) in whatever it is I do. But, I also add an extra "umph" to what I do by making lists and prioritizing them. I then have something tangible in front of me. It gives me a variety of things to do (and that I know I must do no matter what). Once I make the list, that's what gets me started. For me, it doesn't matter if it means cleaning my bathroom, studying, emptying the litter box or whatever. If you're a student, I would put studying and reviewing notes at the top of the list. Give yourself 45-60 min. Set a timer. When you need a break, put on the timer again for 15 minutes and do something else (emptying wastebaskets or whatever). Then you have something to check off of the list. When the timer goes off, hit the books again. If during your break time you do something completely different, it really is a break and you won't burn yourself out. If you use those small amounts of time to accomplish something else, you'll be surprised at how those small increments of time will add up to yet another accomplishment.

Don't confine yourself to hours of dry material for hours on end. It's mind numbing (as you so aptly noted) and counter-productive. Go ahead and allow yourself to be distracted, but do it to your advantage.

(10th grade girl) I am more of a thinker and listener and less of a talker. People have told me I am gentle, sweet and very easy to get along with…yet some people just think of me as the "quiet" one. It's not like I never speak in school; I raise my hand when I know the answer to a question, and I talk when I have something to say. I just don't feel it is necessary to talk all the time in class, I want to learn for pete's sake! I LOVE learning, and I'm extremely self-motivated and hard-working, and it gets on my nerves when all that people can say about me is that I'm quiet since they don't know me!
Even with my friends I can be somewhat quiet, like I said I am more of a listener, and talk when I have something to say (don't get me wrong, I do talk more with my friends, just not that much!). Not to say I'm never crazy haha! Just more quiet, relaxed and laid back. I have been through some very tough times through my life which have instilled a lot of patience and tolerance in me.

I don't understand why it bothers me so much that people tell me I'm quiet. I mean, it's true. I am confused..any advice?

Suggestion:

No it's not, it's a good thing. Without people with self control no one would learn in school:) I had the same thoughts and experiences in school. In school I also was 'quiet' so I could learn and spoke when I wanted to. It probably bothers you because your not quiet all the time and it seems people enjoy slapping labels on you. Just live your life and don't let people get to you.

Both two works illustrate the importance of one’s ability to control their desires. Although desire can be good for motivation for the better good, desire turned into greed can ruin one’s moral values and destruct the relationships they value.
I want to say that if one lets greed control them, they lose control of themselves and everything they strive for is lost as an result.

Suggestion:

Maybe I'm wrong, but I always thought thesis statements were supposed to be one sentence. Try a semicolon between the sentences.

The words "better good" sound very strange in that context. How about just "the better"? "Destruct" doesn't work either. Try "destroy."

You switch point of view/person: "…ONE'S moral values and… the relationships THEY value." It should be "the relationships ONE valueS."
