If you’re reading this then yes, you are in a karmic relationship.

You are on planet earth.

And unless you live in a cave high up in the mountains with no friends or family or contacts then yes, you’re in a karmic relationship. So let’s define karma. Most people think of it as some kind of payback system, like “you’ll get yours”.

It’s a bit more than that.

We have karmic debt and karmic credit.

Meaning you either owe someone or you’re owed. And its not until this karma has been worked through that you don’t need to be on the karmic journey through life here on Earth.

We carry our soul karma in our energetic field. So what you sense in someones energy field is partly what their soul has carried into this lifetime as well. It’s not a checklist some external God has and we have to keep doing good to erase that list.

It’s with us all the time in our energy field.

So our karmic fields draw to us other souls and situations that resonate with our karma. Souls are energetically drawn together and unconsciously play out past life scenarios together. After all history repeats itself until its been worked through and healed.

Our relationships in this lifetime are the tip of the iceberg. What presents itself is only what is on the surface and what is under the water level is our eternal ongoing relationship with that soul.

Our karmic relationships are designed to achieve unconditional love. Whether you work through this together or achieve this apart, that soul relationship will bring you in some way to a level of unconditional love. Not love for that person but working through the karma.

It’s not until we work through these karmic relationships and reach a level of transcendence that we can step out of the karmic wheel.

Be More Confident through Subliminal Messages

Haven’t you noticed? Not everyone who ends up successful in every aspect of their life is beautiful or rich. In fact, a lot of them are considered self-made. However, they have such a high level of confidence and trust that they are able to get past all of life’s hurdles and end up victorious than the others.

Becoming confident takes a lot of guts and hard work, especially if you have already conditioned your mind-set that you have very little resources to boost your self-esteem. Hopefully, with the help of subliminal messages, you will find your ego enhanced, and you can certainly feel you can do a lot of things, given your very limited resources.

How Subliminal Messages Can Help You

Subliminal messages are the types of messages that are kept in your subconscious. They are also picked up by this portion of your mind. For this reason, they remain hidden as you tap on your conscious mind for information. However, if you can also get into your unconscious and use the subliminal messages for everyday living, you will notice how powerful they can be. They may even influence your conscious mind and totally change the way you perceive things.

Subliminal messages can come in wide varieties of forms. For one, you can make use of affirmations. Also known as positive statements, you can consider them as mantras that will guide your life every day. They are so powerful and positive they can get rid of any negative thought or emotion you have. All that remains is hope and motivation, which you certainly need when you want to learn how to be very confident.

You can receive positive affirmations in the following ways:

Stand in front of a mirror every day as soon as you wake up. You can have the subliminal messages memorized a night before. Then look straight in the eyes and repeat them as many times as you can. You need to do this to ensure your subconscious mind will truly remember the words and believe in them.

You can also visualize while in front of the mirror. Think of your reflection as your subconscious, and your subconscious is agreeing and motivated in everything that you are saying.

Lie on your bed and visualize. Before you go sleep, lie on your bed and visualize what you want to become someday. Be very specific as much as possible. While you are visualizing, have a recording of the affirmations or subliminal messages in the background. You can record your own voice, or you can purchase CDs and mp3s, which also come with calming music. Take deep and slow breaths to relax every inch of your body, particularly your mind.

Write them down. You can also write the subliminal messages and put them in several places, such as in your home, car, and office. Make sure you can take at least 15 minutes of your each day to just read and meditate on the words. You can also develop a journal, which you can use to keep track of your progress.

Everybody has sticking points, whether it’s work, relationships or life in general. But that’s fine and dandy because the learning process is what makes us better women.

Perhaps you’re struggling with certain behaviors or fears that might be keeping you from making the most out of your love life. Not to worry though; author Mirabelle Summers has created the ultimate game-free guide on how to do just THAT.

The “Get A Guy Guide” is just the thing you need to achieve the breakthrough that you’ve been waiting for. With its sensible, no-nonsense and down-to-earth advice for the sassy, modern girl, finding AND holding on to a quality man will be a cinch!

Now then – one of the most common stumbling blocks to more romance in a woman’s life is a simple lack of conversational know-now. The good news is that this can be LEARNED and immediately applied in your everyday life…

…especially while you’re face-to-face with a potential lover!

Oftentimes the problem is that some well-meaning girls overlook the importance of having the right communication style. It’s not that they WANT to be boring; they’re merely unaware of how to hold a conversation.

No sensible gal is going to get up in the morning and tell herself, “I wonder how I’m gonna BORE the socks off of that cute stranger I’m going run into at the coffee shop today?”

If you want to become a better conversationalist, it’s important to consider if you’ve grown accustomed to certain patterns of speech that are actually counterproductive. Sometimes, you need to step back and ask if you’ve fallen into certain habits which you’ve “numbed” yourself to over time.

So the first step towards any form of improvement is SELF-AWARENESS. Think about the way you normally carry a conversation with a guy and ask yourself if your style could use some polishing.

Of course, I don’t want you to start beating yourself up if you feel that the way you talk to men isn’t as attractive as you might want it to be. Like I said earlier, there’s always room for improvement, and it’s definitely a good thing to know EXACTLY which areas can be improved.

With that said, I want you to go over the following tip you can use to enhance your communication style:

# 1: Rapport is Key

It may sound like the simplest thing in the world to say, but the fact is lots of perfectly adorable women have a hard time doing this.
It’s mainly because they only have a VAGUE idea of what rapport is, so naturally you can’t create something you can’t really put a pin on!

So let’s clear up the fog surrounding this topic and identify what it is exactly. In a nutshell, having rapport is about having a CONNECTION with someone.

You know how you hook up your iPod or mobile phone to your computer, and they suddenly have this mutual understanding? It’s kind of like that, but on a DEEPER level.

Let me give you a clearer picture: if you were at a party packed with all manner of gorgeous, articulate and friendly men, which one of them are you likely to REALLY fall for?

Since they’re all visually and mentally appealing, you might have a hard time figuring out which guy suits you. Chances are the one who naturally understands you will be the man you’d want to date.

Why is that? Well, doesn’t it feel just GREAT when a person instinctively senses where you’re coming from?

I’m sure you’ve met at least one person in your life who you inexplicably feel drawn to. That’s because that person seems to perfectly understand and echo back your own opinions or feelings.

That sense of being connected is what rapport is all about. Fortunately, it’s actually not hard at all to do this in your daily conversations.

The first thing to keep in mind is that you need to be on the “same page” as the person you’re talking to. There are easy ways to do this.

For example, keep an ear out for specific concepts or values that are personally close to the person you’re in a conversation with. If he brings up that it’s important to him to have some quiet time everyday, store that away for future reference.

Later on you can echo back that same concept by telling him about how YOU like to spend your alone time: “At the end of the day I like to spend an hour or so curling up with a good book and a nice warm cup of chamomile tea. It really helps decompress after a crazy day, you know what I mean?”

Step back and watch his eyes light up like a Christmas tree! By taking something close to his heart and giving it back to him in a genuine way, your words will make quite the IMPACT on him.

So, rapport really has to do a lot with speaking the same “language”. Now of course, I don’t mean you have to start mimicking everything he’s saying like a little parrot, but rather do it in an EMOTIONAL sense.

Discovering and talking about the values that resonate with you BOTH is a way to speak the same language.
When you think about it, we often adapt our modes of speech depending on the context we’re in.

For example, you wouldn’t talk to your friends, family, colleagues, or elders in the same EXACT way would you?

So don’t think that you’re being a phony by making an effort to speak in the same way that he does. You’re simply getting into the practice of communicating in a way that’s APPROPRIATE to the situation.

And when it comes to chatting up gorgeous guys, a meeting of the minds is best done through rapport-building speech patterns!

# 2: Switch Off Your Brain

Don’t get me wrong – the kinds of guys who are worth your time are into women of SUBSTANCE. And certainly, this next conversational tip is not about acting air-headed or ditzy.

All I’m advising you do is keep your sexy brain from going into overdrive! A common mistake that intelligent women often commit is to think too much about certain things.

They get so caught up in their own world of thoughts that they’ll come off as aloof or distracted…

…when in reality they’re just petrified from FEAR of not knowing what to say next.

If you don’t want your brain from stalling on you, then you have to quiet your thoughts and shut out the nagging distractions in your pretty little noggin.

The attraction-killing thoughts I’m talking about are those coming from the inner critic trying to sabotage your conversation. Sometimes, we make the mistake of mentally scolding ourselves after saying something that felt out of place or unfunny.

Other times, we’re lost in a maze of thoughts on what to say next or get bogged down in a swamp of self-consciousness.

When you feel your brain going in this direction, acknowledge what’s going on and DROP these mental distractions.

There’s a handy little trick you can do in case your attention is drifting off to la-la land: instead of obsessing about how you look in his eyes or what he might be thinking, simply divert your attention to HIM.

It’s a girl’s best defense against looking aloof or detached from the conversation (or from this plane of reality for that matter!). So remember to shut off this part of your brain, and you’ll do just fine.

On another note however, sometimes it’s the guy you’re talking to that’s feeling self-conscious. If that’s the case, then don’t act or talk in any way that might give away you’re AWARE of it.

Just play it cool and don’t dwell on the vibe he’s giving off. It’ll only make things more awkward if you let his state affect your own.

# 3: Humor is Your Best Friend

Maybe you’re still feeling each other out and you’re trying to get a handle on how to connect to this hunk of a guy. But the awkward flow of your conversation is creating a major interference in your connection so you’re having a hard time “broadcasting” your signal.

Fear not, friend! The quickest way to clear up all that “static” is by creating a private joke which you can share with him. When you both have some knee-slapping ground to start on, this accelerates the rapport-building process.

My long-time friend Marcus has a great story to illustrate my point. He says:

“One of my first jobs was a freelance product writer for all sorts of health merchandise. During one assignment I was talking with this guy who was telling me about the benefits of a sports bracelet that supposedly reduces muscular fatigue. I had to put on the bracelet and pretended how less tense my arm felt as I was stretching it. Monique, his pretty sales assistant, was visibly chuckling at how funny I looked during the product demo (though she tried her best to hide it).”

Marcus was then able to use this funny incident as an inside joke when he started chatting up Monqiue. To her delight, he referred to the silly arm-stretching debacle several times during their conversation.

To his benefit, Monique was game enough to tease him about it when they eventually started dating. The moral of the story here is that when used properly, humor serves as a great bridge between two people.

Heck, any doctor knows about the therapeutic effect of laughter. One way to bring on the charm is to put your man on a natural high by cracking a joke or making a witty comment!

Making people laugh will make people (cute guys included) want to be around you to get a dose of your feel-good charisma.

Of course, there’s a big difference between laughing at a joke and MAKING one. However, appearing to be effortless at humor isn’t as hard as you might think.

Don’t assume you need to transform yourself into a standup comic at the drop of a hat.

Generally, a good punch line is the result of properly setting up the joke beforehand. If you need to explain the punch line after delivering it, it means you didn’t build enough suspense first.

(Think about how some characters on TV bumble a perfectly good joke by explaining too much and adding a “get it, get it?” at the end.)

A good way to build up a joke is by keeping a relatively straight face and suppressing any snickers before dropping the punch line on him. Otherwise there won’t be any escalation.

That’s what comedic timing is all about: buttering up the audience and then BAM, you get the drop on them with a well-placed punch line!

Notice how comedians like Conan O’Brien or Tina Fey churn out the funnies. They like to talk about a mundane news item (the set-up) and then making a zany comment about it (the payoff).

As an aside, avoid making any pop culture references that might alienate or confuse the person you’re talking to. It’s good to be mindful of the particular person in front of you so he can better relate to your “material”.

However, don’t worry about making leaps and bounds in this particular area of conversation. Try adapting these habits of humor little by little into your speech.

Once you hit your stride and finally struck a guy’s funny bone, you’ll notice how easier it is to keep him laughing with a follow-up joke!

One last way to be funny without overdoing it is by doing the “pretend seriousness” routine. A little lighthearted irony goes a long way with certain folks!

Let’s pretend that your friend introduced you to this incredibly cute guy who happens to be just into music as you are. So halfway through the conversation he confesses to not having heard about a certain band you absolutely adore.

Take advantage of this opportunity by *playfully* retorting, “Tell me you’re kidding. Otherwise, I’m gonna have to drag you to my place and make you listen to my (name of band) records until you see the light. Seriously!”

Admittedly, this approach might not work on everyone, but if he seems like the guy who’s game enough to go along with the fun, then give it a shot!

#4: Converse With an OPEN Ear

Some women might think that listening is just a simple matter of hearing what the other person is telling them. Truth is, this basic skill we’ve been taught to use over the years is often taken for granted.

Sometimes, we find ourselves zoning out a bit (refer to tip # 2) when we should be PAY ATTENTION in the full sense of the verb. A typical mistake is to listen on a superficial level and merely use the time the guy is talking to think of something to say.

This might sound like common sense, but I have this to share: you’d have a better chance of saying something worthwhile if you truly listened to what the other person just said.

I’ve told countless friends and colleagues that your genuine attention is a very powerful tool for conversational success! Really listening to his jokes and stories is a simple but effective way to make him feel good about himself.

And what red-blooded man wouldn’t want to be around a sassy girl that he can associate his GOOD FEELINGS with?

The gift of showing real interest is the direct path to greater rapport in ANY sort of conversation you’re in. Although our general interest here is to attract men through a good chat, we also have to consider the big picture here.

An attractive woman is someone who can have a great conversation with just about anybody. When you have a POSITIVE attitude towards the rest of humankind, it’s an indication of how you’d be on a date….

…or as a girlfriend.

If you’re there to talk with ANYONE purely for the pleasure of their company – and NOT because you want their approval – then that sincerity will naturally show.

People (hunks included) just tend you like more when you want to hang out with them with NO strings attached.

So what I’m saying here is that you shouldn’t just limit your awesome conversational skills to men alone. Find an opportunity to flex your social muscles and chat up a storm with the next person you run into!

It doesn’t matter if it’s the nice old lady at the library, the friendly cashier at your favorite coffee place, or your fellow students at yoga class. Every person out there offers a chance for you to become a more sociable person.

Trust me, this mindset is the sure-fire path to becoming drop-dead gorgeous in the long run! What have you got to lose after all?

And part of developing the right mindset is by expanding your knowledge and beliefs about dating, courtesy of Meet Your Sweet’s “Get a Guy Guide.”

Of course, there’s a big difference between laughing at a joke and MAKING one. However, appearing to be effortless at humor isn’t as hard as you might think.

Don’t assume you need to transform yourself into a standup comic at the drop of a hat.

Many people ask me during the many training courses I give how they can concentrate better on what they do. They are distracted by the many activities and objects around them. What many people also find very disturbing is the lack of focus they have when doing their job. Where are they going in life? How can they increase focus on what they do on a daily basis. That is what I want to tell you more about in this article.

You can be a person with perfect concentration yet continue to move in circles. You simply do what you are asked and you end up doing the same things on a daily basis. For some that is a good way of living. Most other people want to have, do and be more than that! They lack direction and focus in their lives.

A visual map is a wonderful tool that helps you to focus much better on what you need to do in order to move forward in life at the same time. The benefit of using a visual map is that it also helps you to create direction in your life. And it does it all in one, simple visual overview. Here is how you do this:

Step 1: Understand where you want to go

This sounds easy, right? Of course you know where you want to go… Or don’t you? The easiest way of finding where you want to go is answering the question: What major goal do I want to accomplish in my life?

Put this life destination at the top of your paper, or visual overview.

Step 2: Determine the steps needed to reach your goal

From that life changing goal, you move backward in time… until you reach the present. What are the steps you have to take? Identify exactly what you need to do.

Write all the steps below the destination. The closer they are in time, the closer the steps are in the visual overview. You end with the most current task somewhere near the bottom of the page.

Step 3: Do what you have to do

Now comes the most difficult part, the part that has to deal with focus. You already know what you have to do. Now you have to do it. You decide, consciously, what you have to do. You look at your list of goals and tasks and pick the one that you can work on right now and you start working on it.

While working on the map, you identify the things that disrupt your focus. Write these next to the task in your visual map. You do this because it helps you to identify all the objects, people and other things that break your focus. Once you know them, you can either remove them from your environment or ‘train’ them to never disturb you ever again.

Every time you feel you are not doing what you are supposed to do, you have a look at your visual map. This is your road map in life! Any stalling in the present stops the future from become a reality. You know it is something you can accomplish, the only thing that holds you back is your determination.

What do you choose to focus on now you know this?

What you don’t know yet, is how a little twist to this system makes it even more powerful using a practical mindmap.

Do you wake up and feel like not working, feel like giving up or do you wonder whether you should quit this business? May be you are lost on what to write in order to market your business or you have spent a lot of money already with little or no result in return. You are not alone; many successful marketers went through this at some point in their business before breaking even. How to keep on going with your online business when you feel like giving up includes:

Focus on your dream

Focus on that reason why you started a home based business; it may be because of financial freedom or ability to spend more time with your family. Write out your dream and goals, both short term and long term goals and focus on them. Hard copy of your dream that is ever before you will give you the strength to continue.

Weigh the cost of giving up

Many times we throw in the towel before weighing the cost of our actions. Consider where you are going to be 5 years from now if you carry on with your home-based business through the tough times and compare it to where you will be 5 years from now if you give up. It may be difficult now but step by step you will get to your comfort zone.

Self Motivation

Don’t lose the energy and spirit that you need to keep you going. Let your future success motivate you to keep going on when you feel like giving up. Read the success stories of other marketers who made it through the tough times to encourage you. You are closer to your dream than you think.

Change your approach

Critically review your approach to your online business. Study what strategies give other marketer great results, see if you are comfortable with them and how you can adapt them to your business. But remember that there are strategies that need consistency and perseverance before you can see the fruits of your labour.

Build up your knowledge base

When you lack adequate knowledge of the marketing strategies and tips and how to apply it to your own business the tendency to feel like giving up will be high. Go online and learn as much as you can to boost your home-based business and apply them. It is the knowledge acquired and applied that yields results.

Fight self doubt

One of the greatest challenges you face if you are a beginner is your battle with self doubt. Circumstances, including much work with little rewards and people around you may mock your attempt to start a business. There is need for you to have faith in yourself and in what you are doing. Patience and willpower are necessary at this stage.

Truly, there is a cost for every successful venture and it is when we pay the price that we enjoy the benefit. Giving up is not an option if you are to live your dream and enjoy the benefits. Many who gave up are yet to find their footing in society while those who refused to quit, who took steps to overcome their fears are making waves in the society and enjoying the fruits of their labour. Do you still feel like giving up?

Ask ten people to describe the best coaches they have experienced and chances are seven or more will mention support in some way. Underline and highlight that fact in your personal thinking about coaching.

The best coaches are supportive.

Knowing and agreeing with that idea is one thing. Knowing what that means and being able to identify and exhibit supportive behaviors is something else entirely. And that is the point of this article: identifying and explaining some specific behaviors that will help you be supportive of others.

Eight Supportive Behaviors

Collaborate. As a leader or supervisor, you cannot do everyone`s work, or do their work for them. You must, of course, delegate and empower others to do their work. And yet as a leader you must create a sense of shared ownership. You need to see yourself (and the team needs to see you) as a part of the team. While your role may be different, you are still a part of the team. When you see yourself, and act as a part of the team, others will feel supported in their actions. Remember, delegation isn`t the same as abdication, and as such you must see yourself as a collaborator.

Help/assist. Along this same line, you support others when we are willing to lend a hand. My earliest and best experience with this concept is thanks to my father. Growing up on a commercial hog farm meant that there were always some (very) unpleasant jobs to be done. On many occasions I remember being given these unsavory jobs while Dad was away at a meeting or tending to other farm-related business. In most every case, if he returned while I was still doing the unsavory task, he changed his clothes and picked up a pitchfork or shovel. Perhaps you lead a team who has tasks you can`t do directly. If that is the case you can still assist. Find out what you can do to help, especially when the timeline is short and the work is long.

Empathize. To empathize is to understand how the other person feels. One of the most important things you can ever do is let people know you understand how they are feeling. You may not agree with their perspective, you may even think there were actions they could have taken to avoid the situation they now find themselves in (those may be points for personnel coaching at the appropriate time). But legitimately empathizing is one of the most supportive things you can do for another person or group.

Recognize someone`s value. I`m guessing your children don`t always exhibit behaviors you approve of, yet we all will always love our children. And think about it, even little children can tell the different between their behavior and their intrinsic value. When you let people know you value them as an individual you are supporting them. When you do have to give feedback about performance, it is important that you separate performance from who they are. We are supportive when we care about people and show it (and not just say it).

Recognize their goals and interests. People are more than their on-the job performance. When you know something about people`s strengths, interests and long term objectives, you can often help them reach those objectives and support those interests. This isn`t about giving people complete freedom to do whatever they want on the job. To the contrary, you are being supportive of others when you help them succeed in their current job – and help them reach toward their personal and professional goals too.

Listen. One of the most supportive things you can do (for anyone) is to really listen. This is even truer when you are in any position of power (or perceived to be). Stop what you are doing. Remove the distractions. Be quiet, and listen. When you listen you are showing you value their feelings and opinions. When you listen you are communicating that you care. This may seem so basic, but it is so powerful. Why? Because most people reported that they are rarely truly listened to. Yet, when someone takes the time to really listen actively, it is a meaningful and memorable conversation. When that person listening is our leader or supervisor, it is even more supportive and more powerful. Always remember the power of listening, especially when you are in a position of power or influence with the other person.

Give positive feedback. Do you want to be more supportive? Tell people more often what they do well and what they are doing right. Almost no know hears this type of feedback often enough. Almost everyone I know has a story about a specific piece of positive feedback they received in their life – often in their distant past. Ask people to tell you their stories. You`ll be able to tell in their words and their eyes how powerful and supportive specific and genuine positive feedback can be.

Create positive exchanges. Do you know people who seem to light up the room . . . when they leave? That`s the opportunity I am talking about here! Make it your goal that every conversation, exchange and encounter with you leaves the other person feeling good or better about themselves, their situations and/or life in general. That statement is a benchmark that may be very difficult to live up to; however, making it your goal will allow you to be a more supportive person.

When you exhibit these behaviors in a genuine, authentic way you encourage and support people to become the very best they can be. Isn`t that the goal of coaching anyway?

Leaders know that to be successful they must be effective coaches. That is why many of these leaders from around the world have made the Remarkable Leadership Learning System their choice as a one skill at a time, one month at a time approach to becoming a more confident and successful leader. Why? Because coaching is an integral part of the program.

All over the world eminent philosophers have preached about the importance of self discipline, artists have extolled the virtues of self discipline while successful people have attributed most of their success to this practice. Like most other chapters in his book “The Success”, Vishwas Mahale quotes from philosophers like Nietzsche and Benjamin Franklin who have praised the virtues of self-discipline.

The basic premise of self-discipline is that in order to gain control over life, one must first gain control over oneself. A person must train his mind to obey his will; he should not be easily swayed from his path by the various temptations that he faces. If a person cannot control himself, he will be easily controlled by others and by circumstances, thus he will never succeed in life. Self discipline begins with self love, if one cannot love himself, one cannot realize the importance of training one’s mind to obey one’s will. In order to bring about self love, humans must learn from nature, without self love, one’s actions will have no meaning at all; life will seem to be uninspiring and lackluster. Once again like in the earlier chapters in this book, Vishwas relates the individual to the cosmos, saying that the whole universe is filled with self-discipline.

In order to succeed, one must learn to take pleasure from what one does, if one does something against one’s will, it ceases to give one pleasure and it adversely affects one’s performance. Setting goals for oneself is also an important activity; it makes one passionate enough to inculcate self discipline within oneself. One’s goals also reflect one’s attitude; a person with a more positive outlook towards life would set higher goals for himself. Once when the goal is set, the individual must be motivated enough to walk that extra mile that is required from him in order to accomplish the desired goal. In this book, Vishwas has listed down ten ways in which a person can keep up his levels of motivation so as not to be disheartened by failure or be wearied down by time.

Vishwas also makes a list of a few factors in which people can keep up their self-belief so as not to lose self-confidence as a result of failures. There must be enough dedication and commitment towards the path of success one has set for oneself. Among other things, one must learn to sacrifice and honestly deal with one’s shortcomings in order to succeed.

I'm chubby. I want to eat healthy and make my body healthy. I binge eat…
My mom buys junkfood and thinks it's not junkfood… (she buys Special K cereal, muffins, Activia yogurt, packaged/processed food) She also buys some health stuff like fruits and veggies..
But it's soooo tempting and I can't control myself

What do you eat throughout the day?!
What do you eat for breakfast, lunch and dinner and snacks in between?!
How do you keep motivated to eat healthy?!

Please help!
I want to be a health freak so bad.. but I just can't control myself!!!!

If I don't eat any junkfood for a week will it be easier to not give in to eat it?!

What should I do ?

Please help

Suggestion:

If you eliminate food that causes cravings/addiction then it's easier to avoid unhealthy food. The most logical book I've read and tried with success talks about 3 conditions:
1) candida albicans,
2) hypoglycemia,
3) food intolerances

Check this plan, especially the rules about phase 1, it helps stop the cravings:

http://www.allaboutyou.com/diet-wellbeing/diets-Harcombe-diet-weight-loss-eating-plan/v1

About your mum, the best way is to educate yourselves about healthy eating. If she is aware about the effects on health that the ingredients in what she gives you (and what she eats) have I don't think she will continue giving you unhealthy foods. Talk about her about these issues, try to both find what is healthy and what's unhealthy. I suggest the following books / papers:
1) "Pure, white and deadly", by John Yudkin ( http://books.google.com/books?id=9q9pAAAAMAAJ )
2) "A calorie is a calorie" violates the second law of thermodynamics" ( http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC506782/ )
3) "The Harcombe diet", by Zoe Harcombe.
4) "The changing chicken", by Jane Dixon ( http://books.google.com/books?id=5foS_fQr87EC )
5) "The great cholesterol con", by Malcolm Kendrick ( http://books.google.com/books?id=yZLWLQAACAAJ )
6) "Sweet deception", by Joseph Mercola, Kendra Degen Pearsall ( http://books.google.com/books?id=Kd5BH5NNY_gC )

and also make sure you watch this video:
http://vimeo.com/10533993 ( presentation transcript here: http://files.meetup.com/1463924/Homo%20Carnivorous-WAPF2.pdf )

For breakfast, I have boiled eggs or omelette or some plain yogurt sometimes with berries or wholemeal oats and seeds with skimmed milk or skimmed milk or a fruit. I love yogurt!

For lunch, I have some salad, sometimes with meat or fish or yogurt.

For dinner, I have 2 or 3 days of low carb meals ("meaty" meals) with salad, 2 or 3 days of low fat meals ("starchy" meals like rice/pasta/potatoes with salad – no meat with them) and 2 days mixed.

I don't like snacks, but you can have an orange or kiwi if you like, they are full with vitamins.

I drink lots of water.

If you want to lose weight aim at 4 days low carb (i.e. eat meat/dairy from what the family has plus salad) and 3 days low fat (i.e. eat only rice/potatoes/pasta with veggies). Totally avoid everything that has added sugar in it's igredients (or artificial sugars like dextrose, aspartame, syrup, xylitol etc. avoid the -ose -tol endings) . Eat every 4 hours, to allow digestion. The rules of the plan I gave above will help you with weight loss.

The way you'll feel after 5 days will boost your motivation.

Wish you good luck!
xoxo
