Archive - Shorty's Playground: The Eighth Phase (October 2009)

2010-02-09T13:44:00.000-08:00

Shorty's Playground is returning to Orlando, FL but will not be ready until January of 2010. It is currently under construction so that it can be compared to the Shorty's Playground location in Pittsburgh, PA.

It was originally planned that the studio would NOT open to the public altogether. But, it has been decided that the studio will be open to those who can pass clearances and provide identification in order to participate in the opperations and services that are offered at the Shorty's Playground studio. Applications and paperwork can be made available upon request.

Part of the upgrades and renovations include a new booth, that will not be as big as the one found at the Pittsburgh location. However, it will be of superb sound quality and will be just as pretty. The consoles are going to include over 32 tracksof automation and new sound modules will be installed. This studio will also contain more effects processors, available foruse with analog recording methods. The traditional pricing of Shorty's Playground will remain at $20/hr for tracking and studio time, $75 for a mix and $75 for a master. Remixing is set at $250 a track and Chopped-N-Screw versions of your art can be received at the same price. Songwriting, beats, and collaborations will be available upon negotiation.

The great thing about Shorty's Playground (other than quality work at low prices by Jessica "Mz Shorty P" Abraham) is that Shorty's Playground enlists the services of Shorty Produkshins in order to promote the artist, who is in the studio at the time, through our Online platforms and interaction with an actual audience at the time.

The studio is under 24 hour surveillance and broadcast through streaming video and local authorities. Recordings will also be archived on the web to showcase the acts that use the studio services and the studio, itself. This is to be a drug-free/smoke-free location.

>>October 6, 2009

Hey, you guys! What's been going on? You know there has been a lot happening for Shorty Produkshins since the last update. Well, as you know, Shorty Produkshins no longer manages beatmakers. If you want, you can still come to us for beats and songwriting through Shorty's Playground.

Shorty Produkshins has always worked with the promotion of artists and beatmarkers and so on, but recently the focus of the company has changed directions. Currently, Shorty produkshins has a long roster of clientele that includes labels, studios, artists, businesses, Non Profit Organizations and clothing companies. This conglomorate will be the first Promotion Label in the industry.

Shorty Produkshins provides Promotion and Internet Marketing to its clientele, taking advantage of the efforts that have arrose from Web 2.0. and what is soon to be Web 3.0. Everything from Social Networking to Mobile Marketing leaves customers begging for more from our clientele.

Now, as far as music goes. What can we say? Shorty Produkshins has added on two new acts to the roster. These are Poetic and Nicolette. Poetic comes to use from the group Treal, known for "Spaceship" and "Don't Worry Bout Mine, Don't Worry Bout Me." Nicolette is known for tracks like "Get Over It" from LL Cool J's Exit 13 album and "Where It's At?" featuring Raw Beats. She is also signed to LL's Platinum Harvest Record Label. Poetic is in talks with a few major labels at the moment. Feel free to place your bids!

After International Money makes a quick stop in Florida and travels to Africa for his upcomming tour and appearances.... I'll tell you the surprise!

Archive - Nicolette (August 2009)

2010-02-09T13:36:00.000-08:00

The future is here as 2010 begins to make way, especially for a young, independent woman. Nicolette, 17-year-old Femcee out of Harlem, a NYC Borough, has been working hard to bring the game what it's been missing!

Nicolette began as part of a group, called the Harlem Sunshine Girls that spawned the career of girls like Li'l Mama and Teyana Taylor, before going into her own direction. At the age of 15, she signed with LL Cool J's Platinum Harvest record label.

By 16, this girl had already made history as being the youngest artist, especially female, to work with LL Cool J ever! Not only has she done shows with him, but she also featured on "Get Over Here" a track off the album entitled Exit 13. Later that year, she teamed up with him again for another track on a mixtape by none other than legendary DJ Kay Slay.

Making appearances at award shows and concerts around the city, this girl proves to be a postitive role model for our younger generation of girls, who are being brought up with negative media influences.

Nicolette is sticking to her morals and taking a stand into providing this positive atmosphere for this younger generation without the use of sexually-explicit lyrics that mold MOST Femcee careers. Feeling the need to give back to her community and the City of New York, you can find her performing at many charity and awareness events around the city.

Inspired by artists such as MC Lyte, a woman who she has actually met on several occassions, this young woman has become a positive influence, herself, as many younger girls attend her shows on a consitstent basis. 2010, be on the look out. If you don't already know "It's ya girl Nicolette!" Over and out!

2010-02-09T13:33:00.000-08:00

Coming straight to you from Orange County in Florida, Poetic, one-quarter of the hip hop group known as Treal, is on the prowl and taking flight with his current solo projects. Reving the engine up, Poetic has recently released a video for "Impatient," the first single off of his solo album, while in the process of recording a mixtape for FREE release via the Internet and corresponding party.

Nationwide attention has been received through the release of the "Impatient" video (which can be found in the media section of this site). The song hits home to many in the struggle and also to the many "starving musicians" as this economy only worsens.

Be sure to check out Poetic's video for "Impatient" and let us know what you think!

Archive - International Money Goes to Africa (September 2009)

2010-02-09T13:10:00.000-08:00

International Money, Africa's Gangsta, has so much in store for 2010 that it's not even to be considered a laughing matter! Money is working on two mixtapes and the release of his "Game Tight" album. Earlier this year, we saw the prelude to this album through his release of the "Sportscenter" mixtape. That was only a begining of what was to come; but really, Money has customized his craft since then. So, it was only really a milestone into his success.

This album will include favorites such as "Streets like a Battlefield," "Only 1 Life," "Money Over Everything Except Family," and "Shawty like Mercedes." But, as Money has improved his style and incorporated new techniques into his madness, you will realize that this album is something you might not even want to take out of the wrapper. It is a classic.

On a much deeper note, Mr. International Money will be returning to Nigeria for a brief time in order to start what is to be an international tour and will be making many appearances on major television networks and radio syndications. Make sure if you don't have Twitter by now, you have it by the time Money gets home. His plans are to "Twitter from the jungle" from his AT&T phone.

Message to Those Interested in More Info...

Hello. My name is Jessica Abraham. I currently run Online Promotion and Internet Marketing campaigns for only $200 a week. My campaigns have promoted musicians, groups, non-profit organization, Social Network Communities, companies and labels (both independent and major). I am currently looking for new clientèle.

I love promoting new things, be it companies, people or products. Promoting is actually fun for me. In turn, I end up living, breathing, and sleeping every project that I take on.

A little about myself:

I started my journey in the entertainment business through the love of music. However, the love of business and organization got the best of me. By 17, I owned my own record label with an attached studio in Orlando, FL while going to college for recording arts. By 18, I graduated with my Associate's.

At 19, I had graduated with my Bachelor's in Entertainment Business and Law degree from Full Sail University. I went on to start a promotions company that did small jobs for local artists. I continued my work with my label and studio, which I had to do my own promotion for.

As 2007 hit, my company began its transition into mostly promotion for the public. I even earned an Executive Producer credit for a few Grammy Nominated and Winning acts. Another act is currently involved in talks with a major recording label to become contracted with them.

Currently, I have a month until graduation and about to be 24. I will have my Master's in Entertainment Business and Law and will be re-enrolling for my Master's in Internet Marketing, in which I have much experience already.

While this is merely a brief summary of the experience that I would bring to the table if promoting your product, I hope that it peaks your interests and you would, in fact, add me to your roster of those who will help your product, company, and events become a great success.

If interested please reply to this e-mail with further contact information, and I will get back to you as soon as possible.

Thanks,
Jessica Abraham

As you know, Poetic of Treal has been a very busy individual. Within the last three months, this man has already put out two new videos, a mixtape, two singles (not including feature singles), been performing and working on even newer releases, including work for other artists who are about to take the national scene by storm. Poe has been a very humble and hardworking gentleman who loves his fans even more than he loves his money (Damn, Bruh. That's a lot of love!). Included with this message is a teaser of what you have been missing. Make sure you pay attention and pass the word on... Poe is on his grind; and, he's inviting you into his world!

Want something to write/blog about? Poetic OF Treal
Category: Music

A
lover of music, Poetic of Treal embodies exactly the qualities that an
“artist” should. A songwriter, producer, lyricist, and performer,
Poetic can create a “movie” in just a short amount of time and have it
on playback even quicker. Why, just listening to his music keeps you
visualizing the story in your head!

A long list of
collaborations, including Pleasure P, Haitian Fresh, Papa Duck, Soulja
Red, Quent Aleem, Smoke from Field Mob, CasaNova, Mr. Smilez (just to
name a few), and of course his career with Treal has created him into a
monster that is constantly looking to work with both new indie and
established artists in the entertainment industry.

Poetic is
primarily known as one-quarter of Orlando-based hip hop group, Treal.
Treal is known for hit singles, “Don’t Worry Bout Mine,” “I’m Not
Lockdown,” and “Spaceship (Treal’s MySpace Page).” Winning Ozone and
Orlando Hip Hop awards, many of their mixtape releases have been hosted
by DJs such as DJ Smalls with Southern Smoke, DJ Trashy, and DJ Jay
Rock of Down South Bangers. They have also toured with many headliners
such as Li’l Wayne, T.I., and Plies. Their single, “I’m Not Lockdown,”
landed them a single deal from Universal Records, giving national
attention to Orlando’s hip hop scene. While the group remains unbroken,
each member plans to release solo projects in addition to the projects
being released as a group.

Poetic has gained International
exposure as part of Treal and through his own “coming out” in late
2009, commencing with an August video release party of his single,
“Impatient,” at Club Element in Orlando, FL. Poetic continues to
perform, produce, collaborate and write songs for other musician’s in
the Urban Music Communities. He has recently been showcased at the
“Supastar Edition of Soul of the City” at Orlando’s Club 57 West,
ending the 2009 year with multiple shows around the Southeastern United
States and doing videoshoots for upcoming videos and DVDs, many of
which were filmed for projects other than his own. He was also chosen
as a feature for Ozone Magazine’s Florida Classic Weekend Edition.

Since the onset of 2010, Poetic has already released a new single, “Stuck in My Head,” launched a Website (http://www.PoeOFTreal.com) and the Poe-OH-Seven Social Network that allows users to upload their own music (http://PoeOFTreal.Ning.com),continues
doing shows with Treal – who has also just released a new track
(“Rabbit Ass Mind”), gained a few sponsors, finalized plans for a
gaming project, made appearances at special events in and around South
Florida, collaborated with a few producers and artists in the industry,
and is now recording new tracks for his new mixtape and album. It isn’t
even February yet! Imagine just what is to come!

What he says for the 2010 year: “If you ain’t helpin’, keep hatin’!” –Poetic of Treal, 2009.

Pennsylvania Studio Opening Soon!
Current mood: anxious
Category: Music

From the Gunshine (Florida) to Pistolvania... Shorty Produkshins introduces Shorty's Playground, a quiet, yet private recording studio to the Greater New Kensington/ Pittsburgh area.

With years of professional training, talent, and low prices for studio, film, and commercial needs, you would be a little slow to go elsewhere. We are currently in the finishing stages of this building project, and it should be finished by late July/ early August. We will take on a few projects in the meantime.

If you would like to be one of the first to find out about special pricing, the opening and location (which we are keeping on the low), reply with your e-mail, name and phone number.

Thanks!

Jessica "Mz Shorty P" Abraham

SHORTY P’S IMPOSTOR AND FRAUDS AGAINST HER... IMPORTANT TO ALLLLLLLL
Current mood: aggravated

I have just been informed that I got a hater on my tail. Someone is using my likeness aka pics and all that and causing trouble MAJOR TROUBLE for a lot of people. FOR YOUR INFORMATION, THIS IS AGAINST THE LAW AND ABLE TO BE HANDLED IN COURT. IT MAY ALSO COST YOU JAIL TIME.

This is not a first time I have dealt with this. Once, there was a chick in Miami named Gloria. Another time, well... If you know me I had an ex boyfriend turned stalker who it better not be cause HE WILL DO JAIL TIME.

ALSO, there are people who pretend to know me because I am on their friend's list. Honestly if they ain't doing anything and/or cannot be found on my profile (not my friendslist), chances are they are bullshitters and are tryin to get your money. I am in no way affiliated with them. If you suspect or know of someone using my name, likeness, or music for their own benefit... AKA revenge, money, BOOTY... and you want to know for sure, CONTACT ME IMMEDIATELY... info@shortyprodukshins.com or here. It may take as much as 2 months for me to get that message tho...

AFTER 11 YEARS, MZ SHORTY P IS TAKING "SHORTY" OUT ?!??!?!??

Yes, Mz Shorty P has been known in the industry and in society as Li'l Shorty since 1997, Shorty and Shorty P since 2004 and Mz Shorty P as of 2007. Well, as people rise up and take what's not theirs, so must the original Shorty. Notice all these Shawty Lo's, Shawty Put's, Li'l Shorty, Shorty Red, and even Shorty P. She must separate herself.

Only, Shorty found a name that will suit her to the fullest. As woman of Arab descent, Shorty realized that her heritage of Syrian roots have the history of Trading. Those in this category were the bind (other than the Moors.. who were also many of Syrian backgrounds) between the French, Portuguese, and Spanish and why they are very similar in appearance and culture. BUT, she also realized her people were once Egyptian.

As you may notice, Shorty Produkshins and Mz Shorty P have always showed love to the Egyptian culture for it's elegance and the pride of her Arab blood. She has always been captivated by such, even naming her pets after goddesses and gods of Ancient Egyptian society.

Well, as pop culture devoured her only Americanized titling and name, Shorty decided to go full blown into her roots. She also realized that the age of 22 has brought her many successes, changes and has evolved her into a new woman. She is no longer a child, yet she is still a beautiful, elegant young woman full of sass and class. She has found the name that will suit her, yet YOU will have to wait for the unveiling! STAY TUNED TO FIND OUT THE NEW NAME OF MZ SHORTY P!!!!!!
