Unfriended: Darkweb Review: An Insult To Audiences

The Unfriended Darkweb plot had a ton of potential, but ultimately failed to deliver. The thing that made this movie potentially terrifying was the reality aspect. The fact that there really is a dark web and there really are horrible people doing horrible things for their own entertainment makes the film idea particularly unnerving. One thing the film did very well to Capitalize on this was the use of real life web applications. Nothing quite takes you out of the story like hearing characters say "Let me search moogle." or "I need to check my FacePage." Using relatable real world technology creates a realism important for this type of film.

The producers were clearly trying to make Darkweb feel real and make it a "scary because it's true" type of movie, but it didn't work. An abundance of nonsense teamed with lazy writing destroyed the realism the first half tried so hard to create.

Spoilers ahead ...

The biggest issue with Unfriended Darkweb is not exclusive to this film but a problem for horror films in general. The problem is they are all the same. A group of people gets terrorized by someone or something and each one is picked off until they are all dead...the end. Knowing that their is a single formula and one possible outcome eliminates suspense for the audience.

Some films allow for a little more suspense as the typical 'everyone dies' ending is merely an assumption and not a guarantee. Darkweb, however, sets up a story with only one possible end. The fact that the evil at work in this story is an unseen secret society of master hackers who know everything about our characters and can track them wherever they go means that there is no possibility for escape. This is not Jason with a machete and maybe you can outrun him. This is an inevitable death for all of the characters involved. By making the end so clear cut and unavoidable the filmmakers have removed all suspense from the story, all mystery and any real interest in what happens next. It is less of a story and more of a televised execution.

While this film was not horrible like some Netflix horror fair, it just wasn't good. There were no real surprises and the attempts to create interesting turns often made little sense and were insulting to the intelligence of the audience. If you really want to watch Unfriended Darkweb, you would be better off to save your money and wait for it to hit TV or streaming. This one is not worth the price of admission.

Greenlight pix is a website which offers amateur screenwriters or those with ideas to pitch the opportunity to submit their series idea for review. It claims to be "the future of TV." The entertainment industry is extremely difficult to get into and aspiring creators are always looking for a way in. The offer of this website certainly catches the attention of those looking for success in TV, but is Greenlightpix legit?

If you do a google search of where to pitch a tv series idea or submit a script you will find that opportunities are scarce. For screenwriters, most of what you will find are screenwriting contests which require payment of an entry fee. Amazon Studios offered free hosting of scripts submitted by anyone at any level, but they ended their unsolicited script and pitch program in 2018 leaving creators and writers with even less options for getting their ideas out there.

Greenlight pix has emerged as an option for those looking for a low risk option to get their pitch out there and seen and possibly picked up. Of course it would be great to have your idea become a hit TV series, but is it likely? Is this website going to launch you into fame and success as a producer on the next big series? Probably not. That's not to say that it is a bad option for pitching your idea, but it's important to be realistic and understand that there is a ton of competition out there and no matter the path you take, the numbers are not on your side. That said, If you are passionate about your project and want to give it a try, you should. If you are ready to submit your idea, let's review and see if Greenlight is right for you.

Greenlight pix review. What is it? How does it work?

First of all, this is not a website to submit TV scripts. This is completely pitch based. No script submission, just your description of your idea. for some screenwriters this is very challenging as they like their scripts to speak for themselves and find the description difficult. for others the pitch aspect is simple and allows them to explain the project with the passion of the creator. Either way, you have to be good at creating an engaging pitch. If readers are bored or confused by your pitch, they will not read your script or create a script for production based on your pitch. The nice thing about this website is that it is very simple. After registering with your email address you can quickly submit your pitch. once you join the community, you are able to submit ideas and rate other's submissions. This is the idea behind Greenlight pix, a community of people who can rate projects fro "Definitely wouldn't watch" to "Definitely would watch." Ideally you get enough high ratings to get the green light for a full treatment. If this happens, you receive $100 and the potential that your series could be developed and produced leading to a lot more money and your ticket to Hollywood. But before you get too excited, lets ask a few more questions.

Is Greenlight pix a scam?

Greenlight pix is not overtly a scam, and seems as though it has good intentions. It is a good option for those asking where to pitch a TV script idea. It does not cost you any money to join or pitch and does not have the typical earmarks of an internet scam promising you the world for a low fee. This does not mean, however, that no care should be taken to protect yourself and your work when using the site.

Other Considerations

The idea behind Greenlight pix is a good one, but it is problematic. Community voting is good, but the community is primarily made up of people trying to get their idea to TV, and quite frankly, they don't care about yours. Furthermore, the simplicity of signing up and using the site allows for a lot of very low quality submissions which will drive a lot of quality reviewers away. There are several "pitches" on the site that are simply copyright infringement pitching shows that already exist or that utilize established characters owned by others. Quality is definitely an issue which also makes it more difficult for those who work hard to get their ideas heard.

Overall

If you don't have money or connections to get your work to the right desk, Greenlight Pix is a good option to get your name and your work out there but don't expect too much. As it stands, it's a good idea that needs improvement. It's likely that in the future the service will change to weed out some of those taking up space with intellectual property theft and poor grammar while making it easier for talented creators to get there work seen. Keep an eye on this one.

Bissell Carpet cleaners have always had a lot of strengths, along with a few weak areas. The Power Lifter Deep Cleaner model improves on some of the old design while still suffering some of the same shortcomings of its predecessors.

The biggest and most welcome innovation in this model is the split tank design. This means that the clean water and dirty water are in separate sides of the same tank so that there is only one tank to remove and replace.

Previous models had a separate fill and empty tank, each with their own flaws. The clean tank fit snug against the back of the unit and had to be pulled straight up to remove. This process was almost impossible at times due to the poor design. The dirty water tank had a bad habit of overflowing with shampoo bubbles spitting them onto the floor you just cleaned.

Even with these problems, Bissell has historically made some of the best carpet cleaners in terms of effectiveness. The Power Lifter Deep Cleaner does Cary on this tradition while also fixing some of the problems with older models. On the downside, the design seems to have a smaller capacity for cleaning mixture or perhaps uses the mixture faster so it cleans a fairly small area before having to stop and refill.

This particular item seems to have a little more care put into its production to limit some of the worse side effects seen in similar products. It also has a little less filler nonsense than some supplements in the game. There are, however, still some potential risks with this product and some ingredients that lack scientific study. In the end, V3 just doesn't offer enough to justify the big price tag. We recommend giving this one a pass.

Walking Dead Season 8 Episode 13 Review

The Walking Dead has been on uneven footing for quite some time. One big problem is that the producers don't seem to be able to decide whether they want to bring the group back together and return to the original appeal of the show, or if they want to "Shake things up" and go in a bold new direction. The result has been disappointment from viewers ranging from boredom feeling as though the series has become stale to mourning what the show once was and hating the changes.

Episode 13 was clearly an attempt to win back those who have complained about the show being to slow with not enough action. It was reminiscent of Carol's Rambo-esqe Wolf killing episode a few seasons back. This episode seemed to be all about action. Much of the episode was like watching a war movie, which of course was the point. This episode was designed to really sell the war between Rick and the Saviors. As the battle raged on, we were shown the huge body count and the severity of this battle. The problem here was that the idea did not play out as well due to some directorial choices which left viewers to scratch their head. On several occasions groups on one side or the other would fire fully automatic weapons into a crowd of their enemies. It appeared, however, that those firing had attended the stormtrooper academy and could not actually hit very many people right in front of them with a machine gun. For the action scenes to really work, you had to turn your brain off a little bit.

What really stood out more than the action was the subtle but important character development. Carol started to open up just in time for tragedy to strike yet again. Morgan is trying to keep it together, and Henry is becoming the sociopath that everyone expected Carl to be after the prison. Amid all the violence and chaos, there was actual emotion in the storytelling which made it feel more important. Furthermore, The part comic readers had been awaiting played out excellently on the small screen. When the Saviors launched their secret weapon, it turned into an unnerving and gory tribute to zombie films of the past. Overall, this episode showed us that The Walking Dead could still make us feel, and make us jump. This is The series at the best it has been for quite some time, not close to reviling its own hay day, but a far step up from its lowest points. Let's hope The show keeps moving in the right direction.

If you are primarily looking to do upper body work (pushups, flys) this is a great tool to increase strength, but if you want more flexibility in your workout, you can find better--although it will likely cost you more. Also, taking a look at the handfull of Amazon reviews, it seems some of the glowing reviews are kind of suspect. If a company employs fake reviewers, it calls the product quality itself into question. Overall this is a good product if you are not expecting too much.

I'm going to cut to the chase on this Bytech Phone Charger Review. Don't buy it. Picked this car charger up at Five Below and not only is it of poor quality but it is actually hazardous. You might not expect too much from a $5 charger but this one lasted less than an hour.

In the above picture it looks like the mini USB connector is bent right? well this is what it looked like when we pulled it out of the phone. It had not been damaged; it was sitting comfortably on the passenger seat charging. Nobody bent the connector. The micro USB was very hot to the touch and soon began to smoke. The reason the connector looks like that is that it actually melted through part of the rubber around it. This Cell Phone charger actually tried to catch fire within an hour of purchasing it. Do not buy.

GloFX Color Therapy glasses are available in a Range of colors and designed to impact different aspects of mood. Color therapy has been around for decades and there are several companies offering products that utilize this strategy. Many people may have become aware of color therapy glasses from Facebook ads for Rainbow Optx glasses. Rainbow Optx glasses are a bit pricey though leading many to look for cheaper options. GloFX glasses are about half the price of Rainbow Optx and offer a similar product. I ordered a pair of the orange glasses as I could use a mood boost and wanted to see how well they work.

Colour Healing Manual: The Complete Colour Therapy Programme $24.95

I did not have high expectations for the quality of these $15 glasses that I got for $10 on sale but I did have high hopes. The first thing that struck me when I opened the package was the thickness and strength of the plastic in the construction. I expected a cheap low quality product but the design is actually very high quality and durable.

The next test of course for these GloFX glasses was the view with them on. I love glasses that brighten the world rather than darken it. If you suffer from depression as, I do, then dark sunglasses are counterproductive to your mood. I hoped that these glasses would make the world a bright and beautiful place, but I feared that they would just make it orange. I was actually shocked at how bright the view was from under my GloFX glasses. They seem to increase contrast. Darks are darker and brights are brighter. A gloomy day with sunlight filtered through grey clouds becomes a bright shining day. GloFX is the perfect name for these glasses because they actually make bright environments and objects look like they are glowing. Overall These Orange GloFX Color Therapy Glasses are pretty great. I included some pictures below trying to capture what life looks like through the lenses. They do not do them justice but they may give some idea of what you can expect.

UPDATE: After writing this review, I picked up two more pairs, Red and Indigo.

Both of these colors are great as well. The red glasses make everything look like some alien landscape while the indigo glasses create a surreal appearance that truly makes you feel like you are stepping out of your reality into something magical. All the colors around you are drastically changed and often enhanced. When you first put the Red GloFX glasses on everything looks like a dark red, but after your eyes adjust, the view mellows into a deep orange. The indigo glasses are the real star, however, because they shift the color spectrum in amazing ways. Some light looks blue, other light looks purple, Yellow becomes hot pink and the world becomes some kind of surreal dreamscape. It is most likely clear to you that I like all three of the GloFX glasses I have tried and that Indigo is my favorite. I highly recommend them. I hope to acquire more variations in the future and will definitely update my review and provide more sample pictures. In the meantime, check out the pics below. Thanks for reading.

It's not all about the toppings. At the heart of good pizza is the stringy cheese goodness that makes life complete. Okay, maybe I have an unhealthy love of pizza, but if you want good cheese pizza you can't ignore the importance of good ingredients. Let's compare some of the top competitors.

Pizza Hut

This is the big dog in the industry. I remember my love for pizza hut when I was a kid and would earn free pizza from the school book it program. Pizza Hut is where a lifelong love of pizza started for many people. Here's the problem, Pizza Hut has been the leader for decades and because of this they got lazy. The quality is not what it once was. When they do it right it's amazing, but these days that rarely happens. Many of us remember the perfection that was pizza hut pan pizza. What they call pan now is often thin and soggy with a heavy dose of disappointment. Like I said when they do well, they do really well. Pizza Hut has fantastic cheese for a delicious stringy cheese pizza but they are often too cheap with their ingredients leaving the customer with a thin crust, light cheese and a pathetic amount of sauce.

Papa Johns

The Papa stole the throne from Pizza Hut many years ago with far superior ingredients. In the early 2000's Papa Johns was my go to for cheesy goodness. The crust, the cheese, the sauce everything about them was better. These days the company has fallen a bit into the same trap as the Hut with overconfidence and declining quality. To be fair, my local Papa Johns is under poor leadership and often has poor quality. This does not reflect the company as a whole and sometimes they even get it right. Both the Hut and the Papa have a problem with consistency. But in the end, Papa Johns slightly edges out pizza hut in the Cheese pizza department.

Little Caesar's

Not the best pizza around but it's $5 and sometimes pretty tasty. Their Cheese is actually really good, but they have consistently had a problem with putting enough on their pies. The worst Cheese Pizza is one with not enough Cheese. $5 dollars is a good deal if your local store has their A team working, but Little Caesar's is always a gamble.

Dominos

Another old dog in the race, Dominos has been around forever and always brought a unique quality to their pizzas. Several years ago the chain had gon the way of Papa Johns and Pizza Hut by getting caught up in their own success and letting quality slip as they felt they didn't need to put in effort because, After all, they are Dominos. But then they did something crazy. They actually learned from their mistake and put quality of ingredients back on center stage where it belongs. Dominos changed everything from the crust to the toppings. The cheese is bountiful and full of flavor as good pizza should be. So in the end, if you want the best cheese pizza, I cast my vote for Dominos hands down.

What The Company Says

According to the tv sales pitch, this is the most advanced ab roller and it features a patented design which targets 11 muscle groups. The makers of the Abdominator tout it as the best core work out you can get. For only $40 the company tells you that it's an amazing deal. But is it really?

A Closer Look

The idea behind the Abdominator really is great in terms of core exercise. Traditional ab wheels are actually really great for core workouts but they do have limitations. Ab wheels are designed for forward and back motions. The innovation behind the Abdominator is replacing the wheel with a ball that can roll in any direction. This concept is great because you use completely different muscles going diagonal or or moving in circles than simply rolling back and forth.

Their are two components to a great product: innovation and execution. A wonderful idea with a poor design does not make for a good user experience. The Abdominator's design is overall pretty good but it could potentially run into some longevity issues. Three different types of plastics are used in the construction of the device. The lack of metal components are concerning for some who feel that the Abdominator may not be sturdy and could have problems supporting the users weight. Keep in mind, however, that some plastics are stronger than metal and plastic does not necessarily equal weak. The product is designed for individuals up to 250 pounds per the company's guidelines. It seems to be structurally sound and able to handle regular use. Time will tell if it will hold up in the long run.

What We Love About The Abdominator

The Abdominator allows the user to work large muscle groups and build core strength in ways not possible with a regular ab wheel. The open ended range of motion allows for many different types of exercises which will allow you to work muscles that you don't normally use which in turn increases calorie and fat burn, speeds up metabolism and builds much greater core strength than basic ab exercises. The wide range of possible workouts also helps prevent burn out and lack of motivation by keeping your workouts fresh. It weighs less than 4 pounds making it easy to take with you wherever you might find yourself far from the gym and in need of a workout. Also the versatility of the design allows it to work well on different flooring types such as hardwood and carpet. It offers great benefits for those who are willing to put in the work with it. If you are serious about your core workout, this piece of equipment will give you everything you need to see strong results.

What's Not So Great About The Abdominator

The all plastic design is not ideal in terms of durability, but for 40 bucks something had to be sacrificed. The biggest issue here is safety. but it's not a problem with the product. It is an issue of proper use. The thing is that the innovation of the Abdominator is that it allows the ball to move in any direction. The problem is that for those who don't have a strong core and/or a solid foundation in exercise using proper form, the risk for injury is greater because of this omni-directional design. It's easy to pull a muscle or fall using a standard ab wheel if you don't use proper form or if you try to exceed your physical limitations. The design of the Abdominator increases the risk of misuse and injury. It seems that this product is geared more toward people who are already in good shape and would not be ideal for a beginner. The best advice would be to start with a regular Ab Wheel for core development before jumping into the Abdominator.

Overall

The Abdominator is a really great concept with a strong execution, The construction could be better but likely not without greatly increasing price, and the workouts available are fantastic for those who can perform them, but risky for beginners. This product gives the user a great core workout while being very small and light weight making it easy to take anywhere. In the end, this product does not have a lot of negatives. It just is not for everyone and it's important to know yourself well enough to decide weather the Abdominator or any other exercise product is right for you. If you are up to the challenge and looking for something new in your core training, this would be a fine addition to your home gym.

Today we review the RAD Arm Blaster. This product is an isolation device. Of you are not familiar with these, basically this puts your body in a position which doesn't allow you to use momentum and other muscle groups when doing curls. This forces you to use your biceps primarily thus working them harder and creating more growth. Essentially these devices are for people trying to develope big glamor muscles. If you are not a body builder then you really don't need this, but for serious weight lifters, isolation training is extremely valuable. But is the RAD Arm Blaster worth the price tag?

First off, this is not the only product like this. There are many bicep isolation devices out there with different prices. I'm going to recommend that if you are a beginning or intermediate weight lifter, don't bother with this. To isolate your biceps, stand with your back, shoulders and elbows against a wall and curl with light to medium weights. So I will assume that if you are still reading you know generally how these things work and want to know the quality of this bicep blaster.

Here's the info you want. The RAD Bicep Blaster is very well made. It is a solid piece of equipment. It does not feel cheap or flimsy. The $40 price tag is less than some of the more overpriced isolators, but more than the low-end basic ones. Besides the strong metal frame, the other high point is the included neck strap. This strap helps reduce fatigue, encourage proper form and reduce the risk of injury. The strap comes with a thick foam layer to provide the best comfort possible during use.

Overall the RAD Arm Blaster is a very good product. If you think you Will use a product like this a lot then go for this one, for more casual use, there are cheaper options. Whichever category you fall into, I hope this review was helpful.

The flavor is very present and satisfying from the chips and salsa to the dessert. Portions are also a standout part of their offerings. Combo platters are plate filling and if you go for the Diablo burrito (highly recommended) be prepared for a massive burrito filled with marinated pork tenderloin and absolutely covered in cheese and sauce. Margaritas are also worth noting in this section as they come in a good size at a good price and they don't skimp on the tequila. Overall it's hard to come up with anything bad to say about this place. So if you find yourself in Osage Beach Missouri in need of some high quality Mexican food, definitely check out Vista Grande.

The LG V10 Is the beginning of a somewhat new direction for LG smartphones stepping out from the popular G series. The V10 and G4 came out around the same time and had many similarities but also striking differences. The latter being most notably the size and the camera. The V10 falls into Phablet territory with it's pocket bursting dimensions while the G4 is a more standard size.

LG continues with the laser auto focus which made the G3 and G4 such great cameras while adding a much higher resolution and the ability to shoot in manual mode. Manual shooting allows for the user to set White balance, ISO and shutter speed independently. Other settings can be tweaked as well to add creative control. The camera really stands out as the star of the V10 package(see sample pictures below), but there is a lot more to it than that. To simplify things I'll give you a quick run down of the good and bad.

The battery: This is kind of good/bad. The battery can drain pretty quickly, but on the upside, it can charge in an hour or less when connected to a quick charger. Also you can quick charge with certain chargers available cheap on Amazon. This is great if you are like me and have a cat that ate four %&#@$$@ phone charging cables and looked at you like it was nothing...wait, where was I? oh, sorry.

Storage: Let's put it like this. I download a ton of apps for no reason, have well over a thousand photos in my phone and a ridiculous amount of texts and emails. I still have not had to utilize the removable storage.

Call quality: The LG V10 has great call quality about 90 percent of the time. Sometimes however, the person I'm talking to won't be able to hear me unless I put the phone on speaker. conversely, there was a period of time where speakerphone stopped working. If I turned speakerphone on, it would mute the call. This problem persisted until I remembered the first rule of crazy random tech issues "turn it off and back on."

Sound: There are better speakers on other phones, but there are a lot worse ones. It is really annoying that there is only one speaker and it is awkwardly placed on the bottom of the phone. The audio quality with ear buds is exceptional. The V10 does sometimes suffer from the same really annoying glitch that plagues other LG devices. If you connect to an FM transmitter or similar device to listen to music in your car, it will sometimes launch voice command and start "listening" instead of doing what you want it to do. They need to fix this ASAP.

Interactivity:The google features all run well on this device, maps, Google now, etc. Voice text works very well and even spells my curse words correctly which I found rather impressive. I did, however, download a different messaging app after having issues with the stock messenger. Games play well without lag. Web connectivity works excellently.

Durability: This is a big one for me. I usually try to find something with Gorilla Glass that won't break if dropped. I hate to carry an expensive piece of equipment around that will shatter the first time it falls out of my pocket. The LG V10 is not one of these phones you can hit with a hammer and run over, but it is very sturdy. In fact it is very impressive. I opted to not get a case and dropped it from hip level a couple of times without incident. Then through poor judgement I found that my V10 can survive a fall from my roof onto concrete. (Remember kids, don't carry your phone in loose shorts while cleaning the gutters.) After my mini-heart attack watching my phone plummet to the earth I made my way down the ladder seeing that the device was laying screen side down on the pavement with the cover and battery lying next to it. I turned it over, cleaned it off and was surprised to see the screen was not broken. Don't get me wrong, the phone is not pretty after the ordeal.. .mostly just small areas of chipped plastic, but the screen survived and the phone powered on and worked perfectly. I tested it out by opening Chrome to search for a phone case.

Overall: The V10 is not perfect, but it has a large screen, great resolution, won't break into a million pieces if you drop it and has the best camera around. Speaking of, I'll leave you with some samples taken with my LG V10...the one thing I completely love about this device.

Let's look at what you get for around 46 bucks on Amazon. Included are 1 push up board, two handles, exercise DVD and workout guide. The great thing about Powerpress is the design of the board. The handles fit easily into preset spots that target different muscle groups. Each color coded section chest, back, shoulders and triceps has 2-5 different hand positions for versatility in your workout. This is great for training different parts of your body and isolating specific muscles. The included workout plan and DVD provide more guidance and structure for your workout.

To be honest, the DVD is not very exciting and features the exact same standard warm-up from every workout video ever and nothing really insightful in the workouts. The concept is solid though, featuring exercises alternating between plyometrics and push ups.
