Professional movers and delivery people all around the world use Shoulder Dolly everyday to help make their jobs safer and easier.

We did a quick search on YouTube and found a few of examples we’d like to share.

First, we found a video from a moving company called Moving Simplified titled “How Our Movers Protect Your Furniture”. The video shows two employees using Shoulder Dolly straps.

At about 28 seconds into the video, the company founder says “We also utilize Shoulder Dolly which allows our employees to effortlessly lift and maneuver through any turns in your home.”

In the second example, a couple of employees of Headfirst Movers use their Shoulder Dolly moving straps to navigate heavy furniture through narrow openings.

In the next example a pair of deliverymen use their Shoulder Dolly straps to deliver a new Sears refrigerator to a customer’s home. The customer recorded the video and seemed quite impressed with our straps.

As you can see, our lifting straps are a favorite with professionals, but you don’t have to be a pro to benefit from them. Anyone can use our straps to make lifting and moving heavy objects safer and easier. If you’re interested in getting one for your home or business, visit our online ordering page.

Moving to a new home is an exciting adventure but can also be a stressful experience.

One way to minimize some of the stress is to hire professional movers to do the loading and unloading for you.

However, while hiring professional movers can make things a lot easier, it also gets quite expensive. Sometimes the expense of moving can be one of the biggest causes of stress.

Fortunately, there are a couple of affordable do-it-yourself moving options for the budget conscious movers.

Moving Truck Rental
Renting a moving truck is a very common solution for DIY movers. As you’ll be loading and unloading the truck as well as driving it yourself, the only moving costs are moving supplies, gas and the truck rental fees.

There are many different truck rental companies that will give you a quote based on the size of truck and miles you will be driving.

Moving Pods
Another option is to rent a moving pod. The company you rent from will drop a pod off at your location for you to pack at your own convenience. Then they’ll pick it up and transport it to your destination. You can even have it go to storage for awhile if you need to.

The advantage of using a moving pod over renting a truck is that you won’t have to spend hours or days driving a huge moving truck.

There are several companies providing moving pod solutions, and it’s easy to compare prices with just a little bit of online research.

The Right Moving Tools
Regardless of which DIY moving method you choose, it is important to have the right tools for the job.

If you watch professional movers in action, almost every one of them uses moving straps when handling furniture, appliances and other bulky or heavy objects. Our Shoulder Dolly moving straps are an affordable way to make the loading and unloading safe , quick, and easy.

The cost of the straps are a tiny fraction of what a professional moving company would charge to do the loading and unloading for you.

If you’re planning on moving soon, don’t forget to order your Shoulder Dolly straps and save a bundle by doing it yourself. Order Now

For decades the moving dolly has a been a useful tool for handling heavy objects. But moving companies and appliance delivery professionals have been rapidly switching over to more modern solutions like our Shoulder Dolly system.

Here are seven ways Shoulder Dolly is better than a moving dolly:

Portability – The Shoulder Dolly moving straps are light, flexible and can be taken almost anywhere. You could easily put them in a backpack. While a moving dolly could take up most of your trunk, Shoulder Dolly straps could be placed anywhere in your car leaving your valuable trunk space free for bulky cargo.

Safety – Shoulder Dolly straps allow users to have proper lifting and carrying posture, even when climbing stairs. Remember the last time you saw someone pulling a heavy object up stairs with a moving dolly? Chances were their body was bending at weird angles as they struggled to tug the wheels up each stair step.

All Terrain – Moving dollies work great on paved surfaces, but forget about trying to roll heavy items over grass, gravel, cobble-stones, or other uneven surfaces. The Shoulder Dolly has no rolling wheels so as long as your footwear can handle the surface, you can go pretty much anywhere.

Free Hands – With Shoulder Dolly straps weight is properly supported by your shoulder and legs, leaving your hands free to open doors or move items out of the way.

More Versatile – Some objects like a piano are just too big and awkward to be moved with a moving dolly. But Shoulder Dolly straps have no problems with pianos. Check out our testimonials and see how Shoulder Dolly turned a tough job with four people into an easy job for two.

Storage – Imagine being able to rearrange your living room or bedrooms whenever you felt like it. Shoulder Dolly moving straps can be stored in a drawer, under your bed, or almost anywhere. Moving dollies are too big and awkward for convenient storage in most households.

Reliable – The Shoulder Dolly system is very simple and reliable. It includes a strap, harnesses and buckles. So you never need to worry about flat tires, broken ball bearings in wheels, and other mechanical breakdowns that can happen with moving dollies.

Shoulder Dolly Lets Your Legs Do the Work
BY RUEBENMARLEY

Those of you looking for a product that will really grab the attention of your customers need to check out the Shoulder Dolly right away! With the rise of do-it-yourself projects turning into businesses in the USA, and entrepreneurial people looking to make some extra money by doing jobs that others can’t do on their own, there are opportunities opening up all around us. Let’s take a look at this one right now… and see how it can become a great option for your customers as well, at prices that make it highly affordable.

To put it simply, the Shoulder Dolly is a revolutionary new way to easily move big, heavy, and bulky objects. We’ve all tried to move things that were way beyond our capabilities, and although most of us (hopefully) emerged unscathed, there are some stories that don’t have happy endings too. Now, there’s a way for a person of average size – and maybe even below average fitness levels – to move heavy objects without risking damage to either person or property. Using natural leverage, the Shoulder Dolly allows two lifters to maintain proper upright posture while moving any object, and it’s all done easily because the sturdy harness fits comfortably over your shoulders. By using your legs, which are your strongest muscles for lifting and carrying things, the Shoulder Dolly decreases strain and the risk of injury to your lower back, hands, biceps, and forearms.
Here’s where the Shoulder Dolly really comes through:
	Safer than using your bare hands and back
	Lowes is using them in a test market for their delivery drivers
	Will be attending the National Hardware show in Vegas in May
	New products coming out in Q1

Need to hear from the users? There is a mountain of testimonials on their website, like the one I’ve selected below:
“In my 25 years of experience selling, merchandising and delivering appliances I have never seen a product as effective as the Shoulder Dolly®”. The system has dramatically improved my delivery service by increasing personal safety and efficiency and dramatically reducing insurance claims.” Tom Knipping, Appliance Dealer, 25 years
And for those of you who require the words of professionals in the health care industry, there are a couple of those, too:
“From an orthopedic surgeons standpoint, moving heavy objects so easily & effortlessly with the Shoulder Dolly® is good for you and your back.”
-Dr. Robert E. Hunter, MD,
Orthopedic Surgeon, Aspen, CO
“I can see it reducing acute injuries as well as long-term damage to the spine.”
-Dr. Paul Parsons, DC
Chiropractor, Glenwood Springs, CO

The Shoulder Dolly lifting system doesn’t make you any stronger than you are without it, but it is ergonomically designed to promote and facilitate proper lifting techniques. And for you wholesalers out there, it can take your wholesale business to new heights, by offering a quality product that inspires others to take a shot at starting up their own business, with your help.

Essential Tools for Moving
Having just spent the long weekend moving into a new place, I learned the hard way that there are little things you can do and tools you should have plenty of on hand to make things go smoothly. Boxing up every single one of your possessions and transporting them to your new residence to set them all up again is a huge pain. Here are a few items beyond your standard boxes, tape, and blankets that can streamline your move:

1.Labels. Whether you use a fancy pants labeler or marker on masking tape, label every single box, bag, and doodad in sight, especially cables for your computer and entertainment center. This may sound obvious, but right now my TV’s not hooked up because that rat’s nest of unidentified cables for the receiver, TV, media center, and gaming consoles is a mess. (I fared better with my computer desk, having labeled all my cables beforehand.) Also, at some point during the packing process I got lazy and stopped labeling boxes. DO NOT DO THIS. Now finding stuff in the new place is like a treasure hunt. (Except it’s not fun.)
2.Ziploc bags. Have tons of clear Ziplocs on hand, in all sizes. They’re perfect for wrangling little related bits and pieces, labeling and stowing away in boxes to easily find later.
3.Zip ties. This one might go without saying, but this weekend I thanked my lucky stars that I save every zip tie that ever came into the house. Twist-tying together cables easily is an absolute must for picking apart items on the other side of your move.
4.Tools like the Shoulder Dolly or the Hand Dolly to help move the big bulky items.
5.Protective plastic wrap These huge rolls of what looks like Saran Wrap (but for furniture) are used by pro movers to pad, protect, and contain big and small pieces. I wrapped tons of items in this stuff, and it comes off easy with no residue left behind. I recommend getting a very wide roll.

Instructions.
1.Evaluate the object you are lifting to see if it is unequally balanced, if it has handles and where the best place to grasp it is. Know where you are going with the object before you begin.

2.Stand directly in front of the item that you wish to lift. Center your body over it and position your feet shoulder width apart.

3.Tighten your stomach muscles and stand straight and tall, keeping your back as straight as possible.

4.Bend your knees. Without moving your upper body, squat down to the floor.

5.Grab the item you wish to lift firmly with one hand on either side of it. Hold on to it firmly and in such a way that it is balanced.

6.Use your leg muscles to raise your body to a standing position while lifting the object off the floor at the same time. Lift slowly, not with a sudden jerk upward. Keep the item close to your torso, using your body to help balance the object.

7.Walk with the item without twisting your body. Stand straight and take small steps. Have someone help you by leading the way if you cannot see where you are going to avoid running into someone or something.

If you are moving antyhing that is big / bulkly / heavy, the Shoulder Dolly is the perfect tool to help.
It allows you to maintain an upright position while lifting (so you are not using your back muscles). The harness fits over your head, which puts the weight of the object being lifted onto your shoulders. You will use your legs to stand up and not your back.
