Sanchez welcomes judges' criticism

Filipino-Mexican-American contestant Jessica Sanchez may have missed a beat on "American Idol" this week but the 16-year-old said she still welcomed the negative feedback from the judges.

Asked to sing songs from the year they were born, Sanchez picked Gloria Estefan's "Turn the Beat Around" and failed to impress the judges, as well as the TV critics.

Both Randy Jackson and Steven Typer advised Sanchez to pick her songs more carefully.

“I don’t think you should stray too far on that [ballads]," Tyler said. "The rhythm that you sang with the song was just a little shady but again I love you voice and they do, too."

For her part, Sanchez admitted that she had a hard time picking a song for this week but also thanked the judges for their "constructive criticism."

""I've always been looking for constructive criticism from them because I want to always step up my game and perfect the next song that I'm doing, and they haven't been really giving me that," Sanchez told ABS-CBN News.

During the first two weeks of the "Idol" live shows, Sanchez earned standing ovations from the judges for her performances of Jennifer Hudson's "Love You I Do" and Whitney Houston's "I Will Always Love You."

"I'm actually glad that they gave me some [criticism] because I know I'm not perfect. I need that to step up my game. Hopefully if I'm here next week, I can do that, take their criticism and work on it," she said.

Despite the seeming setback, Sanchez continues to gain supporters, including Black Eyed Peas member Apl.de.ap.

"Watching American Idol, to all my Pinoys vote for Jessica Sanchez, Pinoy pride, she's amazing!" Apl tweeted on Thursday.

Sanchez, meanwhile, thanked Filipinos for continuing to support her.

"Thank you guys for all the support and all the love. I hope I can visit the Philippines one day. You guys are amazing!" she said.

The contestant of American Idol 2012 Jeremy Rosado, was voted out on last Thursday elimination night. Jeremy told to the Access Hollywood that he’s grateful for the experience. Even though he was eliminated from the competition, Jeremy felt comforted by a small consolation prize.

“This has been a huge blessing, I can’t be upset at myself — 13 out of a 100,000 people,” he told Access Hollywood after his elimination. “God has truly blessed me and thank you to all the fans that did vote and thank you for all the support and love and I love you guys… I would do this all over again tomorrow if I had to.”

“Jennifer Lopez giving you a kiss on the cheek definitely feels pretty good,” he said with a smile. “I’m not upset that the other contestants stayed because I love each and every one of them it just sucks, you know, that it’s you.”

Jeremy performed the Stevie Wonder’s “Ribbon In The Sky” on Wednesday performance night.

He also told to the Access Hollywood that it’s just the beginning. “Life is next for me I’m going to go kiss my mom, going to give her a big hug and this isn’t the end. This is the beginning of my career,” he told Access. “This is like my break into show business, right? Like acting, singing, everything from this is going to be great, so I’m excited.”

Featuring the voices of Zac Efron, Taylor Swift and Danny DeVito in the title role of this movie, the animated Lorax got a massive $70.7 million in receipts in its first weekend in theaters.

The Avengers new trailer

Adele filed case against French magazine

British singer Adele, who got a multiple awards in the recently concluded Grammy Awards by getting six awards under her name, is filing a case against the French magazine for publishing a falsely claimed that she have sex tape.

The 23-year-old singer was completely denying that there are pictures of her, reports thesun.co.uk.

Adele lawyer has launched a legal action after the French magazine released one of the pictures on its cover.

"Our client has not appeared in a sex tape as claimed in the article. Our client does not appear in the photographs. Such claims are untrue and grossly defamatory," said the lawyer.

A Paris base celebrity photographer posted the video on his website, which gone down as viewers hurried to watch it.

As he said: "There's a huge amount of people who want to see it."

Adele has presently shifted into her new 15,000 pound-a-month mansion which is nearby to her new boyfriend, Simon Konecki, a 37-year-old charity boss.
