Don't Murder your Crepe Myrtles!

Evidently, there's a right-way,
and a wrong-way to prune your Crepe Myrtles.

If cared for correctly, they should blossom from two to four times throughout the summer in the South.

I have several of these in our yard here in Central Florida,
and now is the time to prune.

However, I recently learned to be cautious when pruning...
as it's been referred to as "Crepe Myrtle Murder".

A Different Lemon Chicken!

Hey there!

I found this recipe while cruising around Pinterest one day, and decided to give it a try.

I'm always on the hunt for new Slow-Cooker recipes,

and this one was delicious!

Crockpot Lemon Chicken

4 TBSP. melted Butter

4-6 Chicken Breasts (even frozen)

1 Packet Dry Italian Dressing

2 large or 4 small Lemons

Pour melted butter in bottom of crock pot

Lay chicken in pot

Sprinkle Italian dressing packet over chicken,

drizzle with lemon juice, pop the lid on.

Cook on High 4-5 hours, or Low 6-8 hours

(tried: approved)

I served this with a green salad and Jasmine Rice.

Yummy!

Cheryl and I have decided to put Showcase Sisters on an indefinite hiatus. We have enjoyed listing giveaways, reviewing books, posting our favorite Etsy finds and much more, but we are both at a place in our lives where we just do not have the time to keep up with it all. Sadly, Showcase Sisters will have to be put on the back burner until we have the time needed to devote to it.
