San Francisco Wedding: Heidi + Justin

Last month was an exciting month for Heidi and Justin. I packed up my gear and went for a drive up the coast to San Francisco to shoot their wedding. It was a perfect day to get married, beautiful church, and best of all - a beautiful bride and groom. They stated their vows at the The Cathedral of Saint Mary of the Assumption in the city. Along side me photographing their wedding was Rosaura Sandoval of Rosaura Sandoval Photography. She was a very exciting photographer with so much energy. It was a pleasure to work with her. Congratulations Heidi and Justin!

Laura and Ben celebrated their wedding in Los Angeles at the Park Plaza Hotel. With the presence of a live band playing music, they started a new beginning as they say I do atop the grand staircase of the hotel. Photographing their celebration was a great experience! I recently shot the wedding of Shemane and Melvin in Los Angeles and finally set some time aside to write about it on my blog. They were a great couple to work with and were ready for anything! It was like they had everything planned out for taking photos. They knew what poses they wanted, where to stand and when the right moments to laugh, smile and giggle! I was just amazing how easy it was working with them! Shemane and Melvin exchanged their vows at the beautiful St. Columban church in Los Angeles. Shooting along side Aileen Secord of Aileen Secord Photography was a great learning experience! Here are some photos from their wedding.

Desiree and Mikey (AKA Paul) will soon be welcoming their first child and I had the pleasure to take maternity pictures of the proud parents to be. It was alot of fun to shoot the proud parents to be. Complete NATURALS!! I can't wait to meet little Chloe! Congrats again Desiree and Mikey! I hope to be part of the many memories captured by photo with the new angel!

Family Holiday Session: David Family

Last month I was asked to photograph the David Family and was determined to find a location suited for them. With all the holidays coming up, Angel and Jeff decided to have their family session at Old Town Orange before the Christmas tree lighting ceremony. It was a beautiful Sunday morning in Orange, it was cold and gloomy but perfect for photos.

I had great time working with Angel, Jeff and their two beautiful daughters and would definitely work with them again. Thanks for having me photograph your family. It was definitelly my pleasure. Here are a few photos from their session.

With each Family portrait session, I take pride in what I do. For the Lief family, we has a simple session in the front yard. Nothing to fancy in choosing to go to the park or downtown or a favorite spot. The option in the front yard was perfect. Having each other side-by-side in photographs to cherish the moment was good enough for them. Here are some favorite shots of mine.

These past few weeks I have been busy shooting family portraits. One of my favorites was shooting the Pajarito family. I met with the Pajarito family on a perfect for pictures Sunday morning.I met Casie during college and after so many years it was great to see how Casie and her high school sweetheart blossom to such a beautiful family. A family of two, now to a family of 6!!! Here are few of my favorite shots. I had a lot of fun shooting with the traditional family poses and of course my all time favorite capture the moment candid shots.

When I first met Blen and Anthony at the park for their engagement session, one could tell there was absolute love and happiness shared between the two of them. Observing the way they walked close together, hand-in-hand, whispering into each others ear, they laughed and giggled at every moment.

In our conversations prior to our meeting, they mentioned that they had a passion for sports and wanted to have a sports themed engagement photos.

United in Marriage: Glynis and Omar

For my birthday we decided to travel north to San Francisco to have a good time, enjoy the scenary, spend time with family, and meet with a referral for a wedding. While on our weekend getaway I even got to photograph a wedding for Glynis and Omar. They had a beautiful ceremony at the Ardenwood Affairs in Fremont, CA and the reception was held at the Asian Pearl Restaurant.

Two Hearts One Love: Sunny and Brian

Beach Wedding: Jeanette and Darren

Last month I was asked to second shoot the wedding of Jeanette and Darren with Binh of Binh Dang Photography. It was a beautiful day to get married at the beach, the weather was perfect in every way imaginable - just the way the bride and groom wanted it to be. The ceremony took place on the beach overlooking the surf right before sunset.

The first time I met Miriam and Louie was on the day we shot thier maternity photos. As they strolled through the entrance of the arboretum, I knew it was them. Thier facial expressions were full of happiness and joy as they held each other hand-in-hand. Miriam glowed with beauty wearing a beautiful blightly colored floral dress. Family Weekend Getaway: Viva Las Vegas!

There is a first time for everything and this weekend it was a first for Nolan and Jaylen. Although Jaylen has been to Las Vegas on a number of occasions, he hasn't experienced it they way Kaycee and I have. Well not including the Night Life. Jaylen and Nolan got to enjoy the summer like weather in the sun as we walked the strip from Harrah's to Mandalay Bay. That's what you call a great first experience on the strip! We visited many hotels and watched a few shows. We saw Lions at the MGM, watched the Pirate Show at Treasure Island, Road the tram, saw the statue of Liberty, visited Venice at the Venitian, saw sharks at Mandalay Bay, and of course we ate and ate more! Here are some photos of our adventure! Stay tuned for more of our road trip. Calico Ghost Town!

Cravings for Seafood: The Boiling Crab

A few days ago when I arrived home from work, Nolan came running to the door as usual and gave me a big hug as I greeted the wife, "honey i'm Home!". Kaycee wasn't in the mood for cooking and we were craving some seafood. Since everyone has been raving about The Boiling Crab, we decided to give it a try. It was good! Just like what everyone said. They served all sorts of Crab legs, crawfish, shrimp and clams. My favorite was the King Crab with their special sauces. I would definitely try it again. Here are some photos from our feast. Enjoy!

Orange Hills Restaurant Wedding: Nazli and Sia

This past weekend I second shot a wonderful couple with one of my favorite photographers based in Orange County, Greg Bumatay of Bumatay Studio. Sia and Nazli were full of energy and one can tell they were happy in love. They laughed and danced during their first look photos in Old Town Orange. Sixty Something Birthday: Beverly

How would you celebrate your birthday when you're sixty something? Beverly chose to celebrate hers without the second digit. The only thing that she wanted everyone know was that it was her day. Boudoir Session: Channing

Channing wanted to do something special for her boyfriend for Valentine's Day and decided that boudoir portraits would be the perfect gift. Sharleen did a wonderful job on the makeup and wardrobe and I had a great time shooting! I have to admit I was a bit nervous at first however the session was alot of fun.
