The P220 and P226 conversion kits are identical with the exception of the magazine and marking on the slide. If you currently own either a P220 or P226 .22 LR conversion kit, you can use it on either frame. All you need to do is buy the appropriate .22 LR magazine for that model. The video hopefully helps illustrate this…

We just received the first 1911 Fastback Carry (1911FCA-45-BSS) – the total lead time from initial order was about four months to the day but we only received a single unit (with close to a hundred or more on order).

Sig Sauer introduced the Fastback Series 1911’s late last year offering a rounded grip and mainspring housing to compete against some of the other major 1911 manufacturers (including Kimber’s Super Carry models and S&W’s Round Butt series).

As of this posting, Sig Sauer still has not added this model to their website but the 1911 Carry Nightmare is listed (haven’t received any of those yet though).

The Fastback Carry we received is the .45 ACP caliber – .357 Sig has not yet started shipping (anticipated shipping on .357 1911’s is sometime around fall).

In addition to the rounded mainspring housing, the Fastback Carry features a 4″ barrel, night sights, front strap checkering, rosewood grips, and two magazines.

The Fastback Nightmare has a skeletonized trigger, stainless controls (safety, beavertail grip safety, hammer, slide stop, and rounded mainspring housing), front strap checkering, and night sights.

The Nightmare will sell for about $400 less than Kimber’s Super Carry Custom (which is very similar in overall features and specs).

Sig has started using the black and flat dark earth Hogue P238 grips on a few models. The Desert and Desert Ambi use the flat dark earth grips and there is a limited production run using the black grips.

Hogue’s wrap around P238 grips offer improved grip on the pistol with the rubbery texture as well as the finger grooves.

Below are photos of the three grips and we have them available in our online store.

I installed a pair of the flat dark earth grips on my black P238 (low quality iPhone photo below) and it gives the pistol a nice two tone look. The grips are slightly thicker than the standard two piece grips and they flare out at the bottom around the lower grip screw.

The Hogue grips do come with an extra set of grip screws.

The GoBag holds two rifles as well as magazines, ammo, or cleaning supplies. The bag has shoulder straps on the back so it can be carried like a backpack.

The SIG50 ships in a Pelican Storm Case IM3300 and comes with one 5rd .50 BMG magazine. Additional magazines are available through special order and cost approx $439 each.

There appears to be one deviation from the demo / concept model that has been on display at various shows (including SHOT) for the last year and a half – the top rail. The rail on the production model is significantly shorter and doesn’t have the side rail for mounting additional accessories.

The P938 Nightmare is expected to be available in very limited supplies, with dealers receiving no more than two.

In general, they are quite difficult to find new – very few come over from Germany and Sig Sauer doesn’t catalog this model.

We always try to grab any that become available and we just got our hands on a small number of CPO German Sig P228’s. These CPO (certified pre-owned) models are essentially factory refurbished and come with a one year warranty.

The condition on these P228’s is listed as excellent and they look very good. We’re selling them for $749 plus shipping and handling while the limited supplies last.
