It's time for my closet to get a major overhaul. I haven't payed much attention to the clothes in there since '09. Sad, really it is. The outfits below by Zara are right up my alley, because as a mother I won't nothing more then for something to just be simple and clean.

As the weeks roll on by my stomach seems to be expanding VERY, VERY quickly. Since my return to work going to the gym five days out the week has come to a screeching halt! I never set a deadline to my postpartum weight loss challenge but perhaps I should have.

I am not motivated to workout in the morning or when I get home from work and not to mention the weekend. HELP ME! What's a girl to do?

Carbs are the devil and for a split second I thought I could make it on the Dukan Diet. I gave it my best shot but started feeling really sick on the seventh day of the attach phase. Two dress sizes to go! How did I get here...oh yeah that's right two pregnancies back to back. Yeah that will do it!

Life was so much simpler when I was vegetarian and moonlighted as a vegan. But the CHEESE, oh the cheese. One thing I have done since my return to work was lessen my carb intake. I don't think my husbands gotten the memo though. Breakfast tends to be rich and decadent and full of carbs. How can I tell him no at 6am. He could be in bed sleeping but instead he is up making breakfast for me. So I EAT! Wouldn't you?

Outside of the daily breakfast mishaps every other meal tends to lean on the light and healthier side. I try, really I do.

Even though I feel like my stomach is expanding the temp clothes that I brought for work are hanging off of me. People have commented on my figure. So maybe there's something to this healthy eating after all. Perhaps I can actually ditch the temporary clothes I brought and actually buy some worth hanging in my closet.

A girl can only dream.....

I haven't been around for a week, in the blogger realm that's basically a month, or so it feels. I am completely behind with some things I wanted to share with you. You might have already seen the things I will cover this week but I can resist showing you anyway.

I must say it has been quite an adjustment for me as of late. It's one thing to go back to work after being out for over a year. It's another doing so while being 19+ weeks pregnant and feeling it!

Some days I think I have lost my mind. Then other times I feel supreme about my decision to enter the work force. The people in which I work with and for are truly amazing and quite supportive of my pregnancy. Which makes my transition smooth.

I am quite lucky to have found a position that will allow me to take as much time as I need off after the baby and come back to the very SAME job. How awesome is that? I love living/working in the UK because that would never happen in the states.

I have been struggling to keep up with everything I use to do. I haven't even baked really. The husband has also been doing most of the cooking if not all. He keeps telling me to press on and not to stop doing the things I love. But just as I loathe the very idea of cake mixes or instant anything. I hate rushing posts just to have content on a blog. Quality vs. Quantity. It's really a matter of me getting a schedule together with room for error/change.

So, I say this now if my post fall short do know that I still heart you but a sister can only do so much in a day.

The whole week went by and I totally forgot what the weekend was bringing. My first work week had me all over the place and extremely TIRED!!!

Usually on Sundays we try to have a traditional big "Sunday dinner" with all the fixins'. But that all went out the window this time around. It was Superbowl Sunday! I know what your thinking I'm over here in bloody England hows that gonna work. Were very thankful for AFN. What a time difference, we'll just have to go to sleep really, really, really late. But who cares when you get to eat all types of yummy goodnes and as a pregnant lady that's all right with me! We didn't do too much considering it was just us two and pending baby.

Simple BBQ pulled beef cheddar sammies on the freshest baked ciabatta bread you could find. I made up the recipe for our meal but I did put one below if your interested. For the side, I opted for salad while the hubby had fries. For dessert peach hand pies. However if we did have some people over this is what I would have in mind:

Look at that stove top espresso maker! I have one just like it minus the aged looked. Hopefully it will get there. Crossing fingers! I might do a whole post on this soon. I grew up drinking coffee out of this style of espresso maker. Café Bustelo Espresso...ummm yum!

My second official work day! Can you tell I'm excited? I haven't been in the work field since we got married in Oct '08.

The life of a military spouse, I've moved twice since then. Idaho then England. Kinda hard to lock down a job when you're always on the go. I'll share more details next week as to how ~~I am~~ were adjusting to the new schedule and all. For now enjoy the work + play ensembles below:

Meet Chris, Megan and lil' P (Paige) from Me and Wee!

I stumbled upon this little blog on a dull and gloomy day. I was a bit down about the lost of our daughter Brooklyn. After drooling over Paige's nursery room I took a closer look at the content of the blog. I always like to read the about sections of peoples sites. I myself am not as daring to do an in depth "about me" section as they are....perhaps one day.

But moving right along, the blog was filled about their hit and misses of having a child. Although my situation with our first child is totally different it somehow (outside of the snap out of it talk from my dear cousin/big sis Nina) REALLY, REALLY helped me out a lot. Especially now that baby number two is well on it's way.

I have since of course added her to my Google reader. Plus sent her an email on how much it helped to read all of her generous and truthful stories about her life happenings. Now this post....I'm so not an internet stalker PROMISE! Just want to share something that helped me out in hopes it will help someone else. You can of course read about their journey here.

Now for the NURSERY! It's like she crawled into my head on some level.

Isn't it something? I hope they don't mind that I'm doing this. But their story is truly inspiring....

I am probably making this bigger then what it is but I cannot for the life of me figure out this nursery/guest room dilemma. I have searched high and low across the web for pictures of dual purpose rooms. How about a little inspiration here!?

I won't allow myself to believe that I am the only one that has gone through this or is going through this right now. With the space we have now, I know we can pull it off but it's the layout that's getting to me.

When I find myself utterly annoyed by it I just tell myself forget about the guest room no ones coming to visit. That's a lie because we've already had a lot guest thus far.

Now my plan wasn't to stick them in the nursery with the baby, but to actually give up our master bedroom while their visiting.

Here's the deal. I want to have a comfy place for adults to lay their head but not take up too much room that the baby can't have fun in its own room. The husband says we should just move. Such a great problem solver, uh? Does he know how hard it is to find American sized homes in the UK? They would have to condemn this place before I'd move into a pint size space. Even then I would fight them tooth and nail. I would like to stay here as long as we are stationed in this country. But enough about that.

This one right here is my fav by the way:

p.s. If any of my family or dear friends are reading this I'd like a canvas tote for my baby bag with zipper that reads "johnson" (yes lower case, you know if it was socially acceptable I would only write in lower case)

I'm thinking a futon is the best way to go on this one. I loathe futons, so not sexy! But might be practical considering I want a play space and all. Let's face it guest might come but it's not like they will come every week so futon it is. Uhhh, I guess. I hear Ikea calling us now, gotta run.

I know I have been on a fashion kick as of late. But with the new gig coming up I cannot help but to think about all the cool combos I will come up with. Hey, I haven't worked in what seems like forever, ever....so, give me some allowance to go fashion crazy, please :-)

When you mostly stay home or just run and do errands dressing up isn't as glamorous. I haven't had to play dress up for quite some time. Not to say I walk around looking a hot mess or anything. There is just something to me about getting dressed up for work that excites me. Am I alone on this?

Perhaps it's the fact that I am from New York and all the streets feel like personal runaways. Everyday feels like a great event is happening right outside your door.

Anyway, I spent the better half of Sunday morning cleaning out my closet and chest of draws. I plan on refurbishing the chest of draws for the pending nursery/guestroom.

Despite the fact that I have over four garbage bags full of charity donations, my closet still seems quite full. It looks as if I didn't do a thing! I did manage to find a few pregnancy fitting outfits I can get away with until I am able to buy some crucial dare I say, maternity pieces. I know, I know!

I never really lost all those few extra pregnancy pounds from August before I got knocked up again in late October. Now I am waaaaaay past my pre-prego weight and busting out the seams a bit.

I would like to purge some more. But before I go crazy let me keep what I do have for now. Even though I am itching to revamp my look a bit. But more about this at a later date.

Bayview House by Gartner Trovato Architects

The first time I looked at this house I wasn't immediately blown away by the first couple of pictures, until I read the house description and my view changed.

According to the Contemporist site The house is located on a block of land with a significant fall from the street. The dwelling presents as a single low scale building to the street, with the remaining floors below.

The house is distributed over 3 floors, the different levels are connected by two of flights of stairs and voids that overlap to enhance the sense of space.
