Becs from catching sun dust invited me to this blog tour, what a lovely name, you can read more about her name on her about page. I was a little distracted with a lot of work behind the scenes! But I'm so happy to introduce you to her go over to her and read her answers to the questions!

So, let me dive into the question of this tour.

What am I working on?

My new adventure is right around the corner! I will share the link of my website this Wednesday! I'm over excited, on to a total new adventure and at the same time old trusted things I learned in my life. Exploring who we are. How we want to feel. Who we want to be.
Becoming visible. Being brave and share my artwork with the world.
My clipart shop is ready to share with all of you!

How does my work differ from others of its genre?

We all are unique!
Just being and owning who we are makes us special. My artwork and brand is infused with lots of light and white! I love space.
I think the important thing is just to stay true to our self and who we are. To stretch always a little out of our comfort zone and grow into the direction we desire.
Never stop dreaming up higher versions of who we want to be and feel into our body what feelings resonate with us and make us feel the way we desire.

Why do I create what I do?

Creating is a big part of who I am.
We express us with what we create. How we create our life and what we surround us, defines who we are. We are free to choose, when we let go of fear and exceptions. We can be who we desire and lots of little decisions are what makes the big change!

How does your creating process work?

I just go with the flow and try to push myself into unknown territory every know and then. Feeling a little stretch and uncomfortable is the way we grow. I love to push myself against the borders.
To create freely I love to set up a clean space, clean my home from old energies and clutter. Making space for the new to come. I'm often inspired by colors and feelings, they are the guides of my artwork.
Flowers and nice little things inspire me and influence my work.

I'm way behind, this post was supposed to be ready at tuesday, but it's okay, sometimes we have to just be gentle with our self. Stay in the flow and work one step forward at the time. Here is my 9. week of daily sketches, and you see even our big newfoundland dog take her fair share of cuddles.
I'm working on my shop and I can say, I will share it with all of you next week! We are so close to be ready and I'm excited!

Still sketching, little progress, and sometimes I feel like making one step forth and two back again. It is the daily practice that makes a difference over the long time. I'm now so used to just take my pencil into my hand and do it. This habit has melted into my day.

Since my newest adventures brings me straight back to art and being an artist (I avoided everything in this direction, since I just suffered so much in art school and felt my creativity being suffocated) I thought a lot about what it needs to be an artist. With a pair of fresh eyes, a bunch of confidence and knowing how I am, I have now a whole new point of view.

Does it really matter if one is talented?
I don't think that it is the most important part of being an artist. I think firsthand it needs dedication to do it daily, to express your feelings and emotions from deep inside you, being vulnerable and ready to show who you are.
This needs confidence and courage. Every day. And there is one very effective thing that helps us get into this place, get in any place we ever desire.

It is practice.

We learn by doing, we move forward by creating and expressing.
There are so many reasons to hold back and hesitate. There are so many fears, pressure and expectations we put on us. We are afraid of being judged, by them around us or by our own self.

I truly believe, that everyone of us is creative. We are all creators and we are the ones to shape or life into the form we desire.

We long to express our self, in so many different ways, because we need to define who we are. We all want to know, what makes us the very person we are. So we seek to express our self, far not only with things we learned to call art, like painting or drawing.
There are so many aspects of expression and just being shapes us into who we are and become.

We have the freedom to decide and become the person we want to be. It needs a little bit of dedication and braveness to follow up with what we imagine our highest own self to be. How we imagine our self to be and then start take action in this very direction, we will become.

We all seek for attention. We want to be seen. We want to be heard. We want to have a confirmation in what we do.
Because we are searching who we are and this attention is like a sign on the road, the outside view to show us if we are on the right track and go in the direction we imagine for us to be the best.

Most of my time there is someone around or next to me when I'm in my studio, one of my daugthers wants to paint, sketch or color in. At least one dog is lying next to my feet, often all three follow me along, wherever I go.

I love to never be alone and always have some creative and calm energy near and around me.
Dogs seem to be in a constant state of meditation. They just are and live in the moment and this mood is so healing and roots me, when I get caught up from the hurry and mess life can be.

Tutorial for clay flowers

I made some hairclips, rings and ear studs with roses I made out of lightweight clay. Just look the video if you want to see how I made them and then do some for yourself too. I love the rawness and open ends, so I didn't worked the edges with sandpaper.

Practice is what moves forward, I feel to make two steps ahead and one back. This is week 5 of my daily sketches and it feels so good to be consistent, especially since I'm seeking my place in some other areas. Working steadly in the direction my dreams are made of.

Hello friends, my daily practice of sketches goes very well. I take my pencil daily into my hands and I learn to just get out of my way with doubts of all kinds. It is all about moving forward and sharing this here in my little sacred online space, helds me accountable and I hope that along the way it inspires you to just take back a project and move ahead.

Getting the most important work of the day done straight in the morning makes everything so much easier. / Divine light in our living room.

Carring flowers at home as a first sign of springtime that is arriving. / Yes for being brave and starting new things.

Calm afternoon time with coffee is my favourite. / My grandfather was a photographer, I adore him and this where his grandparents, what an incredible gift to have this very old family picture as a keepsake.

Let me tell you a little more about my project and my story.

My life wasn't always this love fest. I took the decision to focus on the good side of life and to have a positive view of all what I'm doing. This lead me to wonderful things, I get to know my husband, moved to Italy, we had a second daugther and I learned a new language, italian.
We also moved back again and I'm learning french now.
If I believe in something, I want to go for it. There where just a lot of years in between my life, where I limited myself. I hold back from truly believe in me. I just had always problems to fit in and had my focus so much on being seen or heard. I was hiding and longing to be found.

But there is no one better to see us, then our self, no one knows us better then we know our self.
We have to stand up for our ideas and spread them around the world to be found of others. There is no such magic that this happens overnight and something or someone steps in our life and does the work we are meant to do.

I learned to shift my thinking and see things in a positive light. I became a mother when I was 19 years old. This unfortunately marked me in society and how I was seen in the eyes of so many. For me it was the biggest gift. It pulled me out of a life where lots of shit was going on. Drinking, drugs and giving away all my power.
Becoming a mother forced me to take the responsibility in my own hands. To build a life that isn't brand marked from what is the norm, far away from what others expect or think of me.

Everyone can do it! We have the power to become what we want. We have the freedom to decide and step out of situations that don't serve us and hold us little. We can choose happiness, love and joy. We can choose to dance and we have the strength to take the power over our on life in our own hands.

I love to learn and explore in a playful way, to understand myself better. This guided me to this idea of making a card set and writing a book.

A Loveletter, The Paper Love Blog Hop

As an Artist, paper lets my heart skip a beat.
I really love paper.
The white, thick and smooth.
The thin, transparent and milky.
The natural, selfmade and structured.

Paper is what can hold stories. In form of books, photographs and art.
Blank paper gives us space to create, whatever we want.
We can bring our thoughts out of our mind and into reality, we can save the moment with a photograph on paper we treasure and to express how we feel with colors.

Writing is such a powerful thing, it can help us to be heard. We can use journalling to clean up our head and we can use it to write our future, to make plans and goals. To attract what we want, to make our visions become a reality.

I loved my grandfather, when I was little I was a lot around him. He was a photographer and crafter. I treasure his photographs, they carry a breeze of the past and let me understand his world he lived in.

If we let go of pressure, tension and all kind of selfdoubts and just let flow the colors, lines and structures we can create on paper, this strong medium is the essential for expression.

I love books. Pages and pages of wisdom and stories. Reading a book is like diving into another world and timetravelling. I love stories, and everyone of us has our very unique and beautiful story to share. We all are unique and we all can take a blank sheet of paper and create with it whatever fits best for us.
