Drawer or hanger?

Hangers are never a good option to store silk scarves. Wire hangers will leave wrinkles and creases on your scarf. Hangers with clips are even worse. Is a soft rubber hanger with multiple crossbars (similar to an extra large tie hanger) a better option? Not really. It does hold several scarves at the same time (convenient for spotting at a glance the scarf that best matches your outfit); yet, it does not protect your beloved accessories from light and dust. We therefore recommend you keep your scarves gently folded in their original box, placed in a drawer. As silk fabric needs to breathe though, we also recommend you remove the lid of the box (don't discard it; keep it tucked under the box).

Other than dust and too much direct sunlight - which will eventually affect the colors of your scarf - perfume is another terrible enemy. Avoid spraying perfume directly on your scarf, as alcohol and fragrance ingredients may mark or discolor delicate silk. Apply perfume before putting on your scarf and allow it to dry first.

How to clean your silk scarf?

Cleaning silk at home requires care: unsuitable detergent, excessive heat or rough handling can affect the fabric and its colors. For fine silk scarves, professional cleaning can be a reassuring option when needed. Choose a cleaner experienced with silk and always mention the fabric and any hand-rolled hem.

How to iron your silk scarf?

If you use a traditional iron, select a low-temperature setting suitable for silk. Iron the scarf on the reverse side and place a clean, thin cotton pressing cloth between the silk and the iron. If your silk scarf has a hand-rolled hem, avoid flattening the rolled edge; iron alongside it instead.

Light steaming can also help release wrinkles. Keep the steamer or iron moving, avoid prolonged direct heat, and let the silk cool and dry completely before folding and storing your scarf.

Not at all. While a bulky knitted scarf can add considerable volume, a scarf made of thin lavish silk can work beautifully on many body types.

Tie the two ends of your scarf together with a double tight knot to create a loop. Then wrap it around your neck like you would do with an infinity scarf. If you love statement scarves, you know that finding the right earrings, for instance, can be difficult. Both your scarf and your earrings are next to your face and both tend to naturally compete. That being said, it doesn't mean that earrings and a scarf are necessarily a bad combination. It's all about finding the right balance and creating a streamlined look.

Floral patterns are in. So are reflective lenses: not only are they ruling the 2015 fashion world; they are also the best to hide tired eyes- a good reason to love them! CLASSIC RAY BAN

Classic Ray Ban sunglasses are not in or out of style. They are timeless. Grace Kelly loved them. Modern fashionista do too. Though they are appropriate with many style wears, we definitely like them with head scarf tied à la Kelly (scarf folded into a triangle and tied at the back of the neck). OVERSIZED SQUARE

One watchword if you want to keep up with another hot trend: go oversized! Over sized clothes, oversized bag, oversized jewelry and oversized sunglasses - preferably square. To emphasize this vintage Jackie O look, we picked two different frames: black ones we paired with a white and black polka dot silk scarf. Then we opted for tortoise frames and paired them with ANNE TOURAINE Paris™ ACCESSORY brown silk scarf. Both sunglasses are great but tortoise frames work with pretty much any scarf color.

BUTTERFLY and CAT-EYES

It's well known that fashion trends 1) eventually repeat themselves 2) are often inspired by nature.  Vintage butterfly and cat-eye shades are back with a contemporary twist though: sleeker frames, a touch of gold or fun semi transparent plastic make them at the cutting edge of the trend. In July 2015, the replica frigate Hermione joined Independence Day celebrations in New York. We marked the occasion with a tribute to the friendship between France and the United States: our Paris New York silk scarves.

Our photo story began with a walk beside the Seine in Paris, silk scarves in hand.

Next came Versailles and a playful nautical photo session. Our little boat could hardly compete with the Hermione, but a Grace Kelly-style silk headscarf gave the scene its own charm.

The Hermione’s 2015 voyage offered a memorable occasion to celebrate the ties between the two countries.

Panama hats evoke summer, seaside escapes and warm-weather style. Lightweight and versatile, they work for both women and men and pair easily with looks ranging from bohemian to casual urban.

We owe these fabulous lightweight straw hats to Ecuador. Authentic and classic Panamas are made from the leaves of the toquilla straw plant. They usually come in light beige or white and feature a black ribbon around their base. They have been a fashion accessory for over 100 years (think of The Great Gatsby) and they have become so popular that, in 2012, UNESCO added the traditional weaving of the Ecuadorian toquilla straw hat to its "Intangible Cultural Heritage List".

First, we chose an oblong flowy silk scarf. As we quite naturally decided to play a black and white harmony, we picked a black polka dot scarf from the ANNE TOURAINE Paris™ silk chiffon polka dot collection.

We then folded it into a long band that we placed around the crown of the hat and tied asymmetrically at the back.

A look back at Spring/Summer 2015, when kimono-inspired silhouettes were once again prominent in fashion. Designers reinterpreted the traditional garment through shorter, longer, fitted and flowing shapes in both plain and printed fabrics. Short or long, tight or loose, cut in a plain or printed fabric, casual or dressy, the 2015 kimono has been reinterpreted by fashion designers.
