Each piece of silk is painted with a blouse in mind, Once the piece is painted and the dye is set I cut the pattern and sew it up.... I currently have 2 sizes available: medium and large. I will be bringing out small very soon....

They are great over leggings as they cover the booty.

So here is one of those scary moments we knew we would face (CUTTING A HOLE IN THE VAN) OMG! Yes he is on the roof cutting a hole in the top of the van to install 1 of 2 fans that will be installed to help us stay comfortable. I am not going to have AC so these fans will have to do it. They will be powered using a battery bank that are charged using solar panels that will be mounted on the top of the van. I will share this as we get it done.
I chose the MaxxAir Fan for my build, it's the best. I was torn between this one and the fantastic fan, but I chose the MaxxAir Fan because it has a rain guard and thermostat, it can also act as a ceiling fan when the fan is closed. And another wonderful reason I chose this fan is that it has a remote that I can mount beside my bed (when its cold I don't have to get out of bed to turn it off). I am excited to use it. Silk is a protein fiber, secreted from a special gland in the chin of a caterpillar. In the wild, caterpillars use the silk to build snug cocoons to protect them while they change into pupae and then into adult moths.
Silk moths lay eggs on specially prepared paper. The eggs hatch and the caterpillars (silkworms) are fed fresh mulberry leaves. After about 35 days and 4 moltings, the caterpillars are 10,000 times heavier than when hatched and are ready to begin spinning a cocoon. A straw frame is placed over the tray of caterpillars, and each caterpillar begins spinning a cocoon by moving its head in a pattern. Two glands produce liquid silk and force it through openings in the head called spinnerets. Liquid silk is coated in sericin, a water-soluble protective gum, and solidifies on contact with the air. Within 2–3 days, the caterpillar spins about 1 mile of filament and is completely encased in a cocoon. The silk farmers then heat the cocoons to kill them, leaving some to metamorphose into moths to breed the next generation of caterpillars. Harvested cocoons are then soaked in boiling water to soften the sericin holding the silk fibers together in a cocoon shape. The fibers are then unwound to produce a continuous thread. Since a single thread is too fine and fragile for commercial use, anywhere from three to ten strands are spun together to form a single thread of silk.
