Today we purchased the December 2009 series Call Options on Silver Standard Resources Incorporated (SSRI) with a strike price of $25.00 (IZULE) for $0.30 per contract. The trading range for the day was $0.29 to $0.35 with open interest standing at 1428 contracts (more…)

As we can see from the above chart the dollar continues to suffer and is struggling to retain its self respect let alone its value. Today the US Dollar dipped momentarily below the ‘75′ level. Endeavour Silver Corporation (EXK) reported production results yesterday of 661,903 oz Silver (Up 6%) and 3,604 oz Gold (Up 46%) compared to Q3, 2008.

“Endeavour posted another strong quarter of production growth in Q3, 2009. Having flirted briefly with the $18.00/oz level silver is now taking a well earned breather. Although the demand for silver differs from gold the influence of gold is still enormous. Today we tried to buy the December 2009 series Call Options on Standard Resources Incorporated (SSRI) with a strike price of $25.00 (IZULE) however our extravagant bid of $1.55 was not filled. The trading range for the day was $1.55 to $1.65 with 65 contracts traded with open interest standing at 1202 contracts. Taking a quick look at the above chart we can see that Silver Standard Resources Limited (SSRI) could go a little lower without breaking the support line however we would like to see it break out of this wedge and head north and surpass its recent high of around the $25.00 mark. The technicals are fairly neutral at the moment but they are heading lower and could signal a buying opportunity shortly (more…)
