3. Done! It automatically marks it as watched when the runtime ends.
4. Quickly share that you started to watch something using the new share popup.

Plex is triggering now watching, as well via webhook as well as Wako, Nuvio, and other apps that support Simkl’s /scrobble/start API.

Instead of a flat list, you now see your activity grouped by day, week, and month. Each section shows how long you watched, when you were most active, and which titles kept pulling you back.

What you’ll see

• Chronological feed of everything you watched
  Scroll through your history with clear date groupings. You can jump from “What I watched today” to “What I was obsessed with in November” in seconds
• — Weekly and monthly summaries
  At a glance, you’ll get:
  — Total time watched
   — Days with activity
   — Average per day
   — Most active day
   — Most popular time of day you watch
   — Longest binge
   — Your most‑watched shows for that period

• Episodes grouped
  Shows are automatically grouped where there are multiple episodes binged on the same day.

We also wanted history to be something you can clean up, not just stare at:

• Edit or remove plays directly
  Marked the wrong episode? Logged a movie you didn’t finish? Open the entry and fix it right there.
• Bulk delete mode
  Need to tidy up a batch of test plays or accidental logs? Turn on selection mode, select multiple items across days, and remove them together.

My Watch History turns your watch data into something you can actually browse, understand, and manage — without digging through separate pages.

My Recently Visited remembers the Simkl pages you’ve been exploring, so you don’t have to.

What it tracks

• Show, movie, and anime pages

Everything is shown in a timeline with time-of-day labels (morning/afternoon/night), so you can retrace your steps just like you remember them.

What you can do here

• Filter by type
  Switch between All, TV Shows, Anime, Movies, Members, and Custom Lists to quickly narrow down what you’re looking for.
• Search from your history
  Use the search bar to find something you visited recently without starting from scratch.
• Quick-add to lists
  See a show you were just looking at? Open it again and add it straight to Plan to Watch, Watching, or whatever list you use.

Privacy first: local-only history

Browsing history can feel sensitive, so we designed this page with a strict rule:

Your Recently Visited history is stored locally on your device, not on Simkl’s servers.

You’ll see a “Local — Private” label on the page as a reminder.
You can:

• Clear a specific day
• Clear everything with “Clear All”

If you switch browsers or devices, each one has its own separate local history.

3. My Ratings History & Rate Unrated: Your taste profile

Ratings are the backbone of recommendations, but they’re also a fun way to look at who you are as a viewer. This page brings all of that into one place.

All your ratings in one view

On My Ratings History you can:

• See every rating you’ve given
  Filter by type (TV, anime, movies) and year, or sort by date, score, and more.
• Edit ratings and favorites quickly
  Change your score, mark something as a favorite, or jump straight into editing your written review from the same list.

• Dive into Rating Insights
   — A dedicated insights panel shows:
   — Total ratings this year
   — Your average rating
   — Your “rating personality” (how harsh or generous you tend to be)
   — Most common rating
   — Distribution of scores from 1–10
   — Separate breakdown for TV vs movies
   — A “controversial opinions” section, highlighting titles where you strongly disagreed with the crowd

It’s like looking in a mirror that only reflects your watch taste.

New: “Rate Unrated” — fix the gaps in your history

A lot of us have a backlog of stuff we watched but never rated. That’s why we added a special mode inside Ratings History called Rate Unrated.

When we detect that you have completed items with no rating, you’ll see:

• A banner such as “You have 52 items unrated completed in 2025.”
• A focused list of just those titles.

From there you can:

• Hover and rate each item with 1–10 stars right in the list
• Work through a bunch of them in a few seconds
• Switch back to full ratings view at any time

This small feature has a big impact: better recommendations, richer stats, and a truer picture of what you actually like.

Well, we heard you! We’re thrilled to announce that you can now edit the watched date and time for all Movies and TV show episodes in your Simkl history.

Perfect Your Movie Watch History

For any movie, you can now set the exact date and time you watched it. Just click the “I’ve seen this” button, and a new button with watch date and calendar option will appear where you can change the date. You can pick a specific date from the past, choose a quick option like “Yesterday” or “Last week,” or even use the original theatrical global or your country theatrical release, or Digital and DVD video release dates.

Don’t remember when you watched it? There’s an option to select a default “Very long time ago” as a “Don’t remember” date, so you can find it easily later in your V2 Beta Watchlist sorted by watched date.

Change Watch Date In Individual Episode

You can now easily change the watch date for individual episodes. Just click on the watch date within any episode, and a calendar will pop up — letting you pick a new date or reset it back to the original air date.

Bulk-Edit TV Show & Anime Episodes

This is the big one. For TV Shows and Anime, we know editing episode by episode would be a nightmare. That’s why we built the Episode Bulk Editor.

You can now:

• Select multiple episodes in Anime, and an entire season, or even multiple seasons at once in TV Shows.
• Mark them all as watched on a specific custom date.
• Automatically set the watch date to the original air date of each episode.
• Spread the watch dates across a custom date range to make that binge-watch look more realistic in your stats!

This makes cleaning up your history, importing from other services, or just getting your timeline perfect easier than ever.

Follow the steps below to get personalized TV Shows, Anime, and Movie recommendations on what to watch from ChatGPT based on your custom list in Simkl.

Step 1: Select a Theme \ Custom List based on which to receive recommendations at https://simkl.com/lists/.

• Open any Custom List in Simkl. We’ll use Mature animated shows custom list in this example.
• Or add shows or movies that you’ve watched in a new Custom List, all centering around a particular theme or genre.

Step 2: Copy the ChatGPT template using the Clipboard function

• Click the Save Button located at the top right above the list results to save your selections.

Step 3: Copy to Clipboard

2. Once you set your filters, Simkl will scan all available shows and movies and add the ones that meet your criteria to your Auto List.
