Today saw the release of another website from Simnor Computing. inspireCSS is a CSS gallery showcasing the best website designs on the web. It is designed to inspire other designers and users can rate each website using the simple rating system under each site shot.

I have released a new wordpress template for the Simnor Web Templates marketplace. Simify is a premium news wordpress template, it has a pricetag of a very low $30 per domain, this is extremely low compared to similar templates which start around the $60 mark.

I have also redesigned and relaunched the marketplace so only the best of my wordpress templates are available for sale. You can still download the free templates of course.

Simnor Computing has a new green, gray and white look as well as a brand new logo. The old design was very cluttered, so the new design is nicely spaced out and organised a lot better.

Help Developer has gone through a relaunch in the past week complete with a new crimson fluid design. The design has also been released as a free wordpress template for other to use. There is also a new logo and now the site serves as an all round graphic/web design blog rather than just a tutorial site.

howtogimp has also been relaunched with a new design similar to that of Help Developer. The site used to act as a directory for news, tutorials, blogs and resources but due to the high volume of spam that was being uploaded to the site, I relaunched it as a blog and only the very best resources get featured.

I set up hostmytheme because everytime I tried to sell one of my templates I had to go through a lengthy process of uploading the files before I could create an auction. I have created this site to help others bypass that problem, you can upload your themes to the site and receive a live demo URL, you can then remove the template when you have finished with it, for example when you have sold it.

Members can host uncoded templates (in the most popular image formats), wordpress templates and html/xhtml/css templates. All templates must be uploaded in .zip format and are sent for review by hostmysite to check for viruses or inappropriate content. Once checked (and if nothing is found) they will be uploaded to the site and a link will be sent to you by email.

As a student of Huddersfield University I have managed to get on board with a service called the Business Mine, which is a support service offered by the university to help students get into the business world with office space, IT facilities and one to one business mentoring. Over the next year, with the help of the business mine team, I am going to build up the business through the release of some pretty big websites and web design services, so watch this space.

Simnor Computing was started just over 2 years ago from my bedroom as a 16 year old spotty sixth form student. In 2 years since I have seen a phenomenal growth in the business. With getting on for hundreds of thousands of downloads of my software I am proud of the state of the business at this time.

However, in order to move the business forward I need to move out of this market (although my software will still be available, there will be no more updates, sorry). Therefore, the company is now concentrating on the internet market.

binthatsite is a new website released by Simnor Computing that acts as a CSS gallery for ugly websites. Visitors can add websites that they feel look ugly and deserve to be shamed and can recycle the site if it gets redesigned.

“For many years I was a Windows user, I used it through school and I never thought that I would ever use anything else. When I got into sixth form a couple of years ago I decided to just try it out on my new laptop so I installed Mandriva and quickly realised that it wasn’t the one for me, things didn’t work properly so I did a bit of looking around and found Ubuntu.

I now use Ubuntu as my primary operating system and I have never looked back, everything works perfectly on it, its fast and never gives me any problems and most of all it is free and gets updated every 6 months. Linux has changed the way that I use the computer, whereas before I would get frustrated waiting for that document to load on Windows, now it opens in a breeze and I am a lot more calmer for it.

The reason that I released it was that I want people to start going to http://webtemplates.simnorcomputing.com which is where I sell all of my web/wordpress templates and felt the best way would be to release a free one with a link in the bottom.

Obviously there are terms and conditions which can be found in the readme.txt file which must be adhered to.
