Evita’s the proprietor (which sounds like she owns a pub (administrator)) of Evolving Beings. She’s young enough to be my daughter, and wise enough to be my Grandmother. How is this possible?

EvolvingBeings.com inspires and awakens you to achieve and live a life based on balance, fulfilment, unconditional love, joy, passion, accountability, and peace with oneself and others. May the material you find here encourage you to grow consciously and spiritually, as you manifest the highest version of yourself.

Evita is passionate, courageous, and a role model for young women . . . and old dogs, and yes, I now bring the ball back.

What motivated you to create the Evolving Beings and Evolving Wellness sites, and what do you hope to achieve with the sites?

Evolving Beings and Evolving Wellness are a blend of my passions, and topics dearest to my heart. Good health has always been a priority in my life, but never to the degree that it has become when I learned to connect the dots on a biochemical, environmental, and psychological level.

Spiritual and metaphysical topics entered my life boldly when I began to go through major changes in my life and experienced what I would call a ‘spiritual awakening’. This awakened within me a whole new way of living, being and thinking. It changed my life greatly, but with the most desirable results.

I felt like I awoke from a deep sleep, up to which point I was only seeing a tiny part of the whole story. I achieved an internal peace and happiness like I never thought possible and I was bursting at the seams to share this with others. From this awakening and passion EvolvingBeings.com was born and then a couple months later EvolvingWellness.com.

There is no set agenda to achieve through the sites, other than to share my knowledge and be of service to anyone who is looking to feel, see, and live the bigger picture of life. We don’t have to be victims to disease, our circumstances, or other people. Suffering need not be a normal part of life. My intention is that whoever comes across the sites benefits in some way, such as awakens a little more, heals a little deeper, embraces their being more authentically, and lives life from a more fully conscious state of being.

If you had the opportunity to talk to anyone, alive or dead, who would you choose, and what would you ask them? And would you cook dinner or order take-out?

I never gave too much of my attention to history, so I do not know many historical figures as well as I could, especially to the point of having something of significance to ask them.

I am most drawn to Sages, Mystics, Healers, and Shamans to have fascinating discussions with and questions for. And as much as I can think of a few such beings alive and deceased, for whom I could have many questions, I will choose the currently living Thomas Campbell - author of My Big Toe.

Even though I have attended one of his conferences and had a chance even to ask him a few questions already, the potential of this being is incredible and I would love to learn more! Thus, I would love to have a one-on-one where I could ask him to teach me how I can better connect to access multiple realities and altered states of being through the expansion of my consciousness.

And I would definitely cook. There aren’t many places in our society that focus on providing natural and wholesome food, which I am comfortable putting into my body for new cell growth and renewal. And I cannot offer anything to my guest that I would not put into my own body :)

If you had ten minutes to talk to the UN what would you say?

Once I start on a topic that I am passionate about, I can be a bit of a talker, so I don’t know if ten minutes would be enough, but I also know the value of keeping things to the point. So here would be the foundation of the message I would share:

"We have lived in separation from ourselves, each other and God for long enough. We have seen the results and the consequences of living from this divided place, in the state of our health, economies, political turmoil, world peace, and general happiness. We can continue down a well treaded path, that has the same negative results for us over and over again, or we can awaken and embrace new solutions today. We do not need to wait to implement changes over many years. We do not need to think of what is best for the economy first. We need to consider what is best for the well being of all first and that of our Earth and act now. If we act from our heart, and for the highest good of all, change can happen instantly and it can finally reflect what is best for the dignity of each human being.

"United to me, means we come together. We come together in heart and mind, to focus on the similarities between us, not the differences. We can continue to see rich vs poor, developed vs underdeveloped, and war vs peace. Or we can come together once and for all, and drop the illusions of the world of duality, the separations and the hierarchies. We can stop pretending and playing games, and shine the truth that is within each one of us. We are love and love can heal us individually and collectively.

"Change can happen today. If we are all together and united as one, we can make Heaven on Earth today. It is a choice we have always had, and up to this point, one we did not choose openly. Let’s us therefore step back from the old ways, step into a new light and try something new - a path of love that can bring true peace to all."

I notice that you have a passion for nature photography. What two locations in the world would you like to take photos, and why?

My first dream location would be underwater in the oceans, most notable in the coral reefs of Australia or other tropical locations. I have never done professional underwater photography, but I am fascinated by the underwater world. I love swimming - it reminds me of flying, which I have done many times in my dreams, and being a part of that world to the point of documenting it would be a treasured honor. There is so much we do not know, understand or respect about the underwater world, and I would love to bring awareness to its beauty, to ignite within people a love for all the amazing creatures there, and how our habits impact their lives. I am therefore very grateful for all those beings that are doing that already.

And seeing that macro photography is my most favorite type of photography, my second location in the world that I would love to take photos at would be the luscious rainforests of South America. I love taking photos of insects, moss, plants, flowers, rain drops and all other parts of the micro world that we so often miss and neglect in our busy lives. There are signs of God everywhere. The incredible creations that we see all around us I believe, serve to remind us of the beauty of this planet, and ourselves.

When you were little what did you want to be when you grew up, and if you could talk to your (any age) self, what would you say?

I do not remember or recall a predominant career that I intently focused on or wanted to be when I was little. It wasn’t until my high school years that I thought I wanted to be a pharmacist, but that was more due to outside influences and practical options.

What I remember being fascinated with when I was little was organization. Store shelves fascinated me as a little girl, and I felt I had so much help to offer and could make life so much easier just by organizing it! To this day, the clothes in my closet are organized by type and/or color. It has nothing to do with being obsessive, it just makes my life easier and more efficient, as I always know where everything is.

I also know that from an early age, I said I would never be a teacher, and ultimately I became a teacher. It is a designation that I highly respect today and wouldn’t change for anything!

I would love to talk to myself when I was about 12 or 13. This is when I became much more of aware of the world and how painful life could be. I would thus tell myself the following:

"No matter what others say, do or think, they can never cause you any pain, unless you allow it into your experience. Others are often carrying their own pain, and the pain of generations past. Look beyond their unconscious actions and do not take them personally.

"Your thoughts are the most powerful creation tools you have. Use your inner guidance system, if something doesn’t feel good or ‘right’, don’t do it - not for anyone or anything else. You are the creator of your reality, and you can make it how you like, by what you choose to think and focus on. Therefore, focus on love, focus on wholeness, and focus on being the authentic you.

"You are always connected to your inner being, and have help all around you in many forms. Open yourself up to the spiritual side of yourself, and learn to balance it with the physical. Reclaim the complete you.

"Enjoy your imagination, and never feel that there is anything wrong with it. Stick to your standards and goals always, for you can have what you dream of - every little bit of it. Life is as beautiful as you choose to make it. Balance your mind and your heart, logic isn’t always the best way to go. Follow your heart and your intuition. Enjoy life and don’t take things so seriously ;)"

Thank you, Simon, for taking the time to share a bit more about me here on your site. I enjoyed it very much and am grateful to you for asking :)
Parts of the story are about passing spirits into the light. I’m always cautious sharing these experiences because of the physicality of my experience; it’s very real for me, but it’s also potentially harmful to the integrity of my healing work. I choose to be brave, and it’s these experiences that have enabled me to be a healer.

I’d also like to share that I had a jaguar in my home last night. I heard the padding of its paws on the floorboards first, and then a low growl. When you can feel warm breath on your arm it’s easy to believe that this is real. The jaguar rubbed its face against me and then flopped down beside me.

Talk soon, Simon.
On Sunday morning I had an audio interview with Evita Ochel from Evolving Beings, which was exciting and fun. I’ll let you know when the interview is posted on Evolving Beings. I’ve written 6k words for guest articles, and hopefully a couple of those will be posted on Wednesday. The poor old WIP has been neglected this week, but I’m 99% there. Come on!

Until then enjoy some photos of our new garden.
My nanna wore a bra, cooked scones, and managed to get the clothes dry without a dryer. My pop left for work in the dark, arrived home late, chopped firewood, and fed everyone in the street from his garden.

They survived without Dr Phil and Wayne Dwyer. They didn’t know they were bad parents or that there ego minds were making them miserable. Surprisingly, their children were respectful, nanna enjoyed being busy and remained a sexy size 12, pop was allowed to be grumpy and everyone left him alone on race day.

If you read mind body spirit or self help books you’ll know about the ego mind. The problem is that no one can tell you what it really is, and as soon they claim to be able to, I’m betting that that’s the ego mind. Seriously, find me a description that doesn’t contradict itself. It’s apparent that good ego is, well, good, and the ego that causes negative stuff is bad.

I’d like to take that negative word out the back and beat the bejesus out of it! I know, self-help-gurus, that’s an example of the ego mind—it’s a beast. Notably, spirit hasn’t talked about the ego mind, or that I should do something to control it. I’m reminded to be patient, compassionate, and self aware.

In my opinion as soon as we desire to be happy that’s ego, but isn’t that a conundrum? If I’m enlightened enough to be aware of the influence of my ego mind, and then act to be self aware, what’s the driving force behind that action? It’s apparent the ego mind is a Wiley Coyote, but I’ve noticed that the Roadrunner is always one step ahead—beep beep! But as soon as the Roadrunner beep beeps and smiles, you guessed it, ego mind!

Everyone who’s worrying about the ego mind is immersed in the ego mind. Once we say, I want (?), I need (?), we’re in the vibration of what we’re trying to rise above. Boy, this is exhausting. Damn you ego! Oh, bugger, that’s the Coyote.

I’ve noticed I’ve mentioned another one of those impossible to achieve states—enlightenment. The trouble with enlightenment is if you know you’re there, that’s ego. I’m there, you’re not! Woo hoo! Oh no, not again!

I’m riding the ego pony and assuming the enlightened would tell us that they have transcended a physical material existence and are now blissfully self aware. I imagine Wiley Coyote and the Roadrunner would collaborate and say that the enlightened have discovered boredom: they have no identity, they’re no longer unique.

One thing I’ve learned from my work is to be grateful for life and the wonder of human interaction: communication, contact, emotion, and observation. Love can only be expressed by living. Only in a living body can emotion manifest. Without this life we’d be nothing.

Out of body, out of spirit, we’re neutral observers, and there’s nothing to feel. We can only record peace and love in spirit, and in body. The state we’re trying so hard to achieve is an illusion, because when we’re there we can’t enjoy it.

All the spirits and angels that visit, tell me that we’re the angels, we’re the lucky ones. The reason we feel love when angels are near is because we can. We need to see each other the way angels see us: they see everything, without judgement. We’re transparent frequencies of light.

I like to think of the ego mind as an unruly conscience. Too often it’s the conscience we ignore. Impatience, frustration, anger, greed, and judgement is the ego mind telling you something’s not right. We’re busy begging Jiminy Cricket to speak up, and poor old Jiminy is yelling back, “I don’t know what ya friggin want because you won’t make up ya mind.” None of these emotions make us happy, they make us ill. The ego mind is the conscience that throws dynamite at us—it’s Wiley Coyote in a Jiminy suit.

It’s not about balance. One doesn’t exist because of the other, they both simply exist. We don’t have to starve to appreciate abundance, we don’t have to suffer to experience love, and we don’t have to overcome the ego mind. We have to live. The way you live is up to you.

Stop struggling, there’s nothing to fix. If we start there, the fixing just happens. Beep beep!

Disclaimer: no coyotes, roadrunners, or crickets were hurt in this infomercial. Some egos took a beating, but they will recover.
I’d take a couple of healers with me, and over a week touch as many people as possible. I’d start with the nurses because they’d transfer the healing to the patients. They’re compassionate and they have the most contact with patients.

I believe recovery from injury and illness would be accelerated if I was given this chance. I’d like to see genuine healers working in hospitals, and I’d like to teach healing to nurses. If they can believe that every time they touch a patient they can heal them, it will happen.

A client came to see me for emotional problems, but she’d also had an accident and her leg had been in plaster. She was wearing a brace and she had scarring where steel rods had been implanted. I wasn’t aware that I was healing her leg because I was engrossed in her emotional energy, but I assumed that I had been.

Four weeks later she booked another appointment and told me that her surgeon had told her to come back and see me. She was on a waiting list to have her medial ligament repositioned (as I have no medical training this is possibly an incorrect description). Apparently, whatever I’d accomplished with the medial ligament was impossible without surgery.

I praise the surgeon for encouraging the girl to see me again. According to the client the surgeon was so amazed by the result that he wanted to see if I could fix something else. I’m not sure if I was successful as the client hasn’t returned.

In Australia people can be on a waiting list for surgery for months and sometimes years. With healing some of those surgeries wouldn’t have to happen. The benefits for everyone are obvious.
Has our prime minister’s plane crashed on a surprise visit to our troops in Afghanistan, has BP stopped the oil leak, has Japan stopped killing whales, after record breaking profits have the big banks reduced interest rates? Oh—Lindsay Lohan sentenced to 90 days in jail. Seriously, I don’t bloody care!

I walked away from the television. Ten minutes later, yep, more Lindsay: fake tears and lies. I’d rather castrate myself with a rusty butter knife than watch a celebrity and an overpaid lawyer role playing.

Is it any wonder the world’s the way it is?

Have we become that shallow that this is important news? I turned the television off, and I won’t be watching the morning news anymore.

I want news that informs and makes a difference to the world.

I’m going to read a book.
Thank you Heather for cooking lunch, the best homemade soups in Queensland!

Again, the workshop has highlighted that I have enough material and knowledge to fill a two day workshop. It’s important I continue to work intuitively without any formatting. People are interested in my stories. Surprisingly, sometimes I’m funny, and I enjoy public speaking. The day was filled with amazing experiences for everyone. I’m grateful.

This is what I’d like to do:

• Talk to thousands of people and share this incredible gift.
• Make people feel alive, make them laugh, cry, and connect them with spirit.
• Show the world that potential is always present.
• I want to be the guy that stands on a stage with the people who make it onto TED, and be just ‘that guy’. No PhD, no title, no personalised number plate, just that guy.
• Work in an indigenous community.
• Be invited into hospitals and heal everyone: floor by floor, nurses first, and then patients. Light everyone up!
• Show the world that one man can make a difference.

And I want to know what this kangaroo and bush turkey are talking about.
I don’t read mysteries and I had to read about forty pages before I was into lets-go-reading-mode. The characters are older than I am, and the story had a 'Golden Girls' meets 'Murder She Wrote' feel. I loved the back story, the interaction between characters, and the scene building was excellent. The locations were described with such clarity that I felt like I was actually there. For me, the locations became characters.

The story flowed well, but maybe because I’m a Dean Koontz fan I needed more suspense and terror to be completely satisfied. I’m still giving it 4 stars, and I’d recommend this book to: readers of mystery, the person who reads to relax, my uncle (he’d love it), my father’s generation, and writers struggling to write crisp scenes.

If this was a date, I’d txt and invite her to lunch the following week.
I don’t wear it all the time, but it hangs above my computer monitor. A manaia is a spiritual guardian and a carrier of supernatural powers. Traditionally, the manaia is depicted as a bird-like figure with the head of a bird, the body of a man, and the tail of a fish.

Men have gotten erections and women have had orgasms on the healing table. I’m going to write a more detailed article about this in the future, but today I’m going to share one of the many funny and amazing moments I have healing.

Patty (all names in my articles are changed) is a sixty eight year old divorcee who came to see me because of joint pain. About forty minutes into the healing I became aware that Patty was purring, which is how I describe this sensual response. I usually feel what the client is feeling, but my body doesn’t respond. I become the client: the shape of my hips change, I can feel the weight of breasts; I believe I experience arousal the same way that a woman does, but, depending on the circumstance, in varying degrees.

I’m sure that you can appreciate how unusual, interesting, confusing, and liberating this experience is. I’m humbled and blessed to have this insight and experience. I have intense, intimate, and personal moments with most of my clients.

Patty’s breathing quickened; she lifted and lowered her hips rhythmically, twisted the fingers of one hand in my shirt, curled her toes, arched her back, and gasped, “Oh, God!”

My left hand was on her right shoulder, and she had rolled and trapped it beneath her chin. My right hand was between her navel and pubic bone and she had grabbed my bicep and pulled me towards her when she had gasped.

I waited patiently. She stopped shuddering and relaxed her thighs. I didn’t mind, and I think she hadn’t intended to, when she kissed my hand and rolled flat again. She put her hands behind her head, bent her knees slightly and let her legs fall apart. Sighing, she opened her eyes and looked at me, “Bloody hell, that’s better than sex!”

I smiled and asked, “Do you want a smoke?” Patty laughed, and then started to cry. I held her hand until she stopped and then helped her off the table. She hugged me for a long time, and, apparently, left feeling forty years younger.
In my opinion this is the best and the cleanest tourist attraction in Queensland. I love it! I’ve visited many times before and have enjoyed seeing the changes. This year we bought a season pass. Steve Irwin was a legend and my hero.
Terri and Robert are in the background with another crocodile handler; there were four handlers.

I’m busy this week with appointments and writing, so my posts will be brief, but I’ve more photos to share. I like my fiction shaken, not stirred.”

Helen is a freelance novel editor, with an informational and interactive blog for writers and a weekly e-newsletter that has been going out to subscribers around the globe for ten years. She is an owner-partner and Women’s Marketing Director for Legends In Our Own Minds®, which specializes in creative networking opportunities for companies and groups. ~ taken from Straight From Hel

If you’re searching for information on publishing and writing this is the place to visit. Helen’s done all the leg work, and Emma Peel’s legs look good in leather. Helen posts all the best snippets from publishing related articles, giving interested readers the chance to click on the links. Good stuff!

Helen also interviews authors, reviews books, and edits manuscripts. Everyone who visits the blog and comments is wonderful, and, hold onto your underpants! They support each other. How cool is that?

But the coolest thing of all is . . . Helen is a mermaid. A real live mermaid! I can’t even swim fifty metres and now I’ve found someone who knows Neptune. If you’re as excited as I am, visit Ginger, Helen Ginger, and ask to see her tail.

Disclaimer thingy: Helen didn’t teach me to swim, ghost write my memoirs, bribe me with muffins, or show me her tail (I wish she would), but she is one of the nicest people online I’ve met. Hang on, my phone’s ringing . . .

“Hello . . . Is this you Nathan Bransford? . . . Listen mate, you have to stop ringing . . . Yes, Helen Ginger’s on my blog this week . . . Crikey bloke, you get five thousand hits a day. I don’t know how I can help you . . . Oh, you want me to tell Helen you called . . . you’re a fan . . . okay . . . yes a smoking hot mermaid . . . sure. Talk next week . . . If you get a haircut I’ll think about it . . . Bye.”

Sorry about that folks. If you get a chance, visit Helen and say hi.
Evita, thank you.

Believe Without Evidence

I’m asked all the time about how I heal, and if you read enough of my articles you’ll notice I use this opening sentence often. The truth is that I don’t know. I’m a story teller, and I’ve a life long movie pass to the sitcom, Simon’s World. The main character has too much body hair to be a bonds model and not enough to be George Clooney, but the unpredictability of watching a live show is entertaining.

Working with spirit is a major factor in my ability to heal: they have been my teachers, mentors, friends, and greatest supporters. “We love you, my son.” Thank you. The most common phrase I hear from spirit is this, “You’re not in control.” I’ve no control over: who comes to see me, the process of healing, the outcome, life. This is both terrifying and liberating.

If I’m not in control then what is?

I’d also like to thank the Helensvale Circle of Light church for having me as a guest speaker. I had a blast!

I keep my work with spirit as real as I can. I refrain from being alternative or new-age, and, besides Jesus and His family, celebrity spirits rarely visit. I don’t encourage anyone to try to contact anyone famous; leave them in peace. Life is filled with beautiful and interesting people, and the wisest teachers are often the most silent.

If someone famous does visit I usually keep it to myself, and it remains a private moment. The conversations are short and I never ask questions about their lives, but I’d like to share three visits this weekend that surprised me.

Mother Teresa placed her hands over mine during a healing and then reminded me to be mindful of my emotions. Her intensity surprised me. She’s a feisty old broad. After my dressing down, she smiled and told me I was doing wonderful work. Place a big sigh here.

In the same healing I looked up and Bruce Lee was smiling at me. I asked him why he was here. “We all know about you, and I was curious to meet you.” Oh. He smiled, stayed for a while, and wished me well when he left.

Yesterday I was writing a guest post for Evolving Beings and Theodore Roosevelt was standing beside me. He’s a funny friendly guy, but boy he’s passionate about changing the world. He’s very direct and tells it how it is.

I’m not sure why these spirits have chosen to visit now, and I want everyone to know that this doesn’t mean I’m an exceptional medium. I can have days where all the connections I make with spirit are jumbled and sometimes wrong. I don’t mind being wrong. I admire mediums who get names and dates accurately because I struggle with that information. I describe characteristics, personality, and memories.

I hope everyone’s well. If someone you know needs healing, leave their name in a comment and I’ll think about them when I meditate. Talk soon, Simon.
Let’s have a cup of tea and some scones when I get home. Until then, enjoy some photos.

A hangi is the Maori word for cooking your kai (food) in the ground. My dad heats rocks (I’ve seen off-cuts of steel used) with a fire, and then places the rocks in a hole in the ground. Meat and vegetables are wrapped in aluminium foil, cabbage leaves, silver beet, or cheese cloth, and placed in wire baskets. The wire baskets are placed on the bed of hot rocks, and more rocks are placed on and around the baskets. Hessian, towelling, or carpet dunked into water first is then laid over the baskets. Cover with dirt and then drink beer, play pool, or throw darts for five hours. This is the most important part—socialise with family and friends.

I’m not my dad, he knows more Maori than the word kai, so I put down the I-used-to-be-a-tradey all Australian hangi. It’s had dad’s, "that’s the tidiest hangi I’ve seen boy," tick of approval.

I line the floor and sides of the hole with kiln fired bricks (not concrete blocks), they’re free at all building sites if you ask nicely, and then burn native timbers (this is important) for roughly ninety minutes. Shovel most of the embers and coals aside, place the aluminium foil wrapped meat into the pit, and push the embers back around the kai. Did you see what I did there Dad?

Cover the embers and meat with wet towels, not mum’s good ones, old nappies, or that denim jacket you wore in the eighties. Wetting them first stops them burning while you’re shovelling dirt.

We had a twenty first party, and because I was busy being a host I didn’t get the chance to photograph the meat before it was all gone. The best meat for a hangi is lamb, pork, or fish. Beef is sometimes dry, but you can wrap it with olive oil beforehand. Add herbs, onions, garlic, flavours and sauces to the meat when you wrap it, and the best thing about cooking this way is you can’t overcook the meat. It will stay moist until unwrapped.

My hangis cook for four to five hours, but soils, bricks, and coals hold heat differently. The weather will also influence burning and cooking times. Don’t use fire starters or any chemicals to start the fire—paper and kindling only, and don’t use treated or painted wood either. Chemicals make us sick, and gravy will not hide that kerosene taste.

Our backyard: the hangi is in the garden in front of the farm shed, kid’s cubby on the left, pergola, pavers, and dart board, just out of sight, on the right. Everything you can see, I have built.

Have a great weekend, and kia waimarie with your hangi. Talk soon, Simon. “Kei te aroha au ki a koe.”

When I’m healing, Gegu, my angelic guide, often tells me that I’m not in control. I’ve always believed that the client’s spirit and consciousness is the creating force, but I’ve now realised that Gegu is sometimes referring to something else.

This something else might be the pivotal element in creating health and a happy life. At this moment I’m writing, and I’d describe the process as being evidence of my desire to share, my love of writing, my education, intelligent reasoning (sometimes), and my life experience.

My conscious mind is the programme I’m aware of, my unconscious mind is running in the background, and can enhance or hinder what I’m attempting to create, but I’m also aware of an observing mind. The observing mind see’s everything unhindered by emotion, the processes of thinking, and sensory perception. (?)

Since I’m not Carl Jung I’ll tell you a story. On Wednesday evenings I run a meditation and connect with spirit night at home. Last week one of the exercises I asked participants to do was, while holding a gemstone, concentrate on an emotion and infuse that emotion into the stone. It wasn’t important what the emotion or feeling was. The stones were swapped and everyone had to then read the stone: what did they feel, see, or hear?

The stone that was handed to me was infused with anger. Holly, who passed the stone to me, had had a terrible day, and had been angry with her partner all day. She assured me she was channelling all the anger into the stone. Upon coming into contact with the stone I heard, “I’m tired of saying sorry all the time, and I’m sick of feeling responsible for everything.” I felt that the feeling in the stone was forgiveness, and Gegu added, “She must be forgiving and gentle with herself.”

What I had read wasn’t what the lady had been concentrating on. I got the reason for the anger and how to ease this feeling. So what was controlling the message?

The feeling I focussed on was loss. At first I’d been undecided about what to concentrate on, but a grieving spirit was standing beside me, so, feeling overwhelmed, I filled that rock with loss and sadness and passed it along.

Samantha took the rock and immediately sat up straight. She described a pulse of energy vibrating through her body and she was excited and energised. Before this she had been lethargic and was struggling to stay awake. The previous two meditations had relaxed her and she still felt separated from her body.

Again, not the outcome I expected. Samantha needed healing and I’d been aware that she had been getting some during the meditations: angels were visible, and my hands were burning.

In both instances it wasn’t what was intended, but what was needed. The first lady needed to say what she had been unable to say, and then to be forgiving. Samantha needed healing. In these cases I’m the common link—the receiver and the giver. But the other pairs also had similar results.

Defying intent, focus, instruction, and action, something else is in control. What?

I feel there’ll be another part to this post.

Talk soon, Simon.
I’ve no doubt that she’d be the leader of a fortified village, sheltering children, animal lovers, their pets, the elderly, and the pelicans immune to BP’s legacy.

The watch towers would be manned by bow and arrow toting, finger nail painted, vibram five finger wearing, aspiring YA authors. I’d have to beat one, possibly two guards in a game of scrabble, just to get through the first gate. While being strip searched I’d be asked to come up with five synonyms for cavity. If I failed I’d be thrown into a pit with a zombie assassin, who looks suspiciously like Sarah Palin. Jessica Watson would be welcomed, because, well, she’s Jessica Watson!

After some UFC with the zombie assassin, being humiliated in a word war by Master Splinter, and surviving being bitten by Carrie Ryan, I’d finally be granted counsel with the Pirate Queen. The ordeal would be worth it, although, I thought the laughter during the strip search was a bit harsh, because I’ve five reasons to love Tessa Gratton:

1) She’s a source for inspirational quotes. "If you wrote something and saw that it was good and there was value others could receive from it, but you don't share it because you're afraid of judgement and/or misunderstanding - that is cowardice." This was the first quote I collected online, and this is the reason I write: I want to be brave, and I don’t want to fear judgement.

2) Tess is generous. She writes short stories and posts them here, and this has helped me become a better writer.

3) Tess is brave. She stands up for what she believes in, and rather than be an armchair advocate she acts. (She also scares me a little)

4) Tess is funny. The world can never have too much humour.

5) I’m looking forward to Tessa’s debut novel coming in 2011.

BLOOD MAGIC

Summer 2011 from Random House Children’s Books.

For Nick Pardee and Silla Kennicot, the cemetery is the center of everything.

Nick is a city boy angry at being forced to move back to the nowhere town of Yaleylah, Missouri where he grew up. He can’t help remembering his mom and the blood magic she practiced – memories he’s tried for five years to escape. Silla, though, doesn’t want to forget; her parents’ apparent murder-suicide left her numb and needing answers. When a book of magic spells in her dad’s handwriting appears on her doorstep, she sees her chance to unravel the mystery of their deaths.

Together they plunge into the world of dark magic, but when a hundred-year-old blood witch comes hunting for the bones of Silla’s parents and the spell book, Nick and Silla will have to let go of everything they believe about who they are, the nature of life and death, and the deadly secrets that hide in blood.

(Blurb from Tessa’s website)

Disclaimer thingy: Tess hasn’t mowed my lawns, fed my dogs when I’m away, line edited my WIP, or made me lemon chicken for dinner. I do have airport dreams about her, which is exciting for me, and probably creepy for her.

On Wednesday nights, when I’m home, I have a meditation and psychic development evening. Gary, who is a talented trance medium, was talking to Fred during his meditation. I asked Gary if he’d trance and allow Fred to speak to us all.

While Gary was speaking I saw Fred’s face overlaid on Gary’s face. Gary’s voice was filled with longing when Fred described his desire to continue his work. He felt he hadn’t fulfilled his life’s work, and everyone in the room commented later how sad this had made them feel.

Watching Gary and Fred I was thinking how amazing it was that spirit visits, and I began to wonder why they came. When I’m healing, doctors, nurses, surgeons, indigenous healers, prophets, angels, and a myriad of other spirits frequent my healing room, but what attracts them?

Even when the client or the healer is unaware of what is needed for perfect health to manifest, the energy field of the body, consciousness, knows. The body vibrates at, help me. Spirit/consciousness responds. I am here. The pathway for wellness to be created is opened with intent.

My question to Fred Hollows was, ‘How do you hear, or receive the question?’ (help me)

‘It just appears.’

‘Okay. How do you know where to go, and how do you get here?’

‘I just appear.’

‘You can see me?

‘Yes.’

‘How do you see me?’

‘You look like a shimmer.’

What’s interesting about this is that this is how I see spirit. They look like a shimmer of light. When I close my eyes, I then see the person. I have seen, and still do see spirit as if they’re real people, but mostly I see the shimmering shape of a person.

The shimmer is vibration, the wide open spaces between atoms—light. It’s like a visible radio frequency. What we think and create becomes an invisible (most times) signal.

If someone you love has died, they will appear every time you have a need for them. I miss you. I need a hug—I am here. To make these experiences a part of our lives, we have to believe without evidence. We have to know spirit is with us. We see each other the same way. It’s like being on opposite sides of glass—we’re looking into, and influencing each other’s world.

You know, I really do love you. Talk soon, Simon.
I’ve two teenage daughters who don’t speak to me, so Scrappy fills that void. She’s equal parts funny and drive-me-crazy.

Friday night is footy night (rugby league)—Simon, television, beer, legs up, do not disturb! No, it’s not quite that serious. I cook dinner, clean up, and relax.

Scrappy kisses me goodnight on the way to bed. Cool! Every other night she calls me in to turn her light off, and I kiss her goodnight then. It’s a close game. Go Tigers!

‘Beep.’ Bugger! Who would be txting me this late? I walk sideways to the phone, one eye on the game, and knock my knee on the dining table.

‘simon can you turn off my fan <3’
Joy’s genuine, generous, and she loves the earth. She’s also pretty cool—she lives on a sailboat (a sailboat!) with her two children (and Jack Sparrow). Thank you, Joy, for inviting me aboard.

Universe, I Am Here

I meet a lot of people who are trying to change their lives, but they just can’t seem to create what they desire. Often, what we think we want is not always what we need, and the gap between reality and what we’re dreaming seems to widen daily. Pretty soon we resign ourselves to being miserable and slide into depression.

One of the most common responses to healing is that this lethargy is lifted and clients manifest their dreams immediately. I’ve had two clients phone me this week, I saw them both a year ago, and they chatted like excited school girls talking about Justin Bieber. It was difficult for both of them to describe exactly what had changed, but they were no longer anxious, they slept peacefully, they were pain free, new opportunities had manifested, well … life was great!

Bookings: Use the contact us page on my website.

Time: 10AM to 3PM, with lunch provided. I was thinking wild pig on a spit, or chicken and salad sandwiches.

Cost: $80.00. That’s a bargain folks, and you can pay online here, or with cash on the day. I won’t be accepting sacks of potatoes, legs of lamb, or barrels of wine this time, but I’m still partial to opals and gold.

I work intuitively so the format will be relaxed and flowing, but we will be covering this:

• Intuitive healing.

• Energy healing.

• Intent and its role in healing.

• Working with, and connecting to spirit.

• Meditating with spirit.

• Faith.

• Hands on healing.

I don’t hand out written material, but you can take notes. I encourage everybody to ask questions, please, don’t be shy. Talk soon, Simon.

Readers form relationships with blogs and because of the nature of my work, and style of my writing, it’s easy for perceptions to be formed about me. Yes, I have incredible experiences with spirit, but I’m more than those experiences.

I tend to share personal information about myself with clients and groups I’m speaking to. This builds trust, and I feel it’s more appropriate to talk about myself than someone else. Also, I’m the product, the healing experience happens with me. I’m more comfortable wearing jeans and a tee-shirt than a suit. I don’t like shaving, I like to have a beer with dinner; complete transparency is essential for a healer.

Here’s my dilemma though, how much information is too much. Everyone deserves to have a private life, but I don’t want people to perceive me to be someone I’m not.

One of my missions is to break down stereotype beliefs around healing. Let’s call this the Jesus myth. One of my clients was a principal of a Catholic school, and I mentioned that Jesus was standing beside him. He thought about this for a while, and then politely said that he didn’t believe so, because if Jesus was standing there he’d be able to feel him. He then said that he had attended world youth day with tens of thousands of young people, and he felt that the energy he experienced there was Christ’s energy. If Jesus was standing beside him, that’s what he believed he’d feel. I glanced at Jesus; he shrugged, and then smiled.

So what do you think, how much information are you comfortable sharing? Is there something you want to know, or not know, about me? If you’re a blogger, do you also have this dilemma?

I’m also thinking of changing the name of this blog to, Simon Hay Healer.

Here’s some more New Zealand photos.
I'm a regular author on this site.

***
Lance left this comment on my previous post:

“ … I like to think that we are healing beings, even if we’re not always seeing that, just being open to it, and even if we don’t see that healing is taking place, perhaps it’s still happening, just not as we had pictured it.”

I think it’s fair to surmise that everyone has experienced disappointment, and these moments can, if we let them, erode self-confidence and self-worth. The outcome is often never what we imagined it to be. Why?

I believe it’s because we can’t control the universe, the infinite presence of known objects and phenomena. The key here is known, or the perception of knowing. The outcome of an event is created, not forced. We can become the flow of synchronicity, the force, that creates, but we should never be the enforcer.
