Shrigley Hall is a beautiful venue and I’m looking forward to the wedding as the interior lobby is stunning. Yesterday however we concentrated on having an explore outside and chatting about the big day whilst taking a few photographs so Gareth and Verity know what to expect on their wedding day.

When I saw Kelly the first thing went through my mind was “I hope she doesn’t give birth now”

We had a quick studio session to get some dramatic portraits that hopefully Kelly and Simon will treasure … I say quick because I don’t think it fair on mums to be if they have to keep standing for long periods as it isn’t the most comfortable for them.

Lucinda and Sean were very relaxed and didn’t take any persuasion to get in the lovely warm water for a few shots at the end of the session!

The Isle of Wight is a beautiful location for wedding photography and I’m looking forward to be the wedding photographer on their big day !

We were at Ringwood Hall Hotel for a walk round the grounds to have a chat about their wedding and to take a few pre wedding photographs so they know what to expect on the day. Both Kimberley and Alex were very relaxed and hopefully enjoyed the session.

Here are a few of their pictures – they choose one and I get it enlarged and mounted to use on their wedding day as a guest signing mat.

I joined Claire as she was getting ready and she was very relaxed and enjoying the buildup to her big day. Everything was going to schedule and Claire was ready in plenty of time.

Doug was on hand to greet their guests arriving and the ceremony was performed in on of Callow’s many beautiful rooms with the sun streaming through the windows. Afterwards guests were able to enjoy drinks outside and I took Claire and Doug off for a walk round the grounds to get a few bride and groom portraits before it was time to sit down for the wedding breakfast.

Speeches followed and then it was time to get ready for the evening party ! I left as it was getting in full swing.

I then found a very relaxed Richard who was taking the day in his stride but you could tell he was as excited as Roya !

The weather meant that Richard could have his wish, an outside ceremony, and Ringwood’s staff made everything perfect with John overseeing proceedings and ensuring that staff attended to every last detail.

The ceremony was fantastic and guests were able to have drinks on the lawn with a very happy newly married Mr and Mrs Agus.

We managed to escape the guets for a walk round Ringwood Hall’s extensive grounds to get some bride and groom shots before it was time for the wedding breakfast, again expertly organised by staff. The evening celebrations and party commenced and I left as guests were dancing and laughing the night away.

Both Katie and Owen were very relaxed and seemed to be having fun and I’m sure that the wedding photography at the Welcome Hotel will be great on the day.

We had a wander round the grounds that back on to the stunning golf course and whilst taking some engagement photographs had a good chat about their wedding day plans.

This was an international affair as Sally was originally from here but had found Anthony in, if speeches are to be believed, a rather dubious pub frequented by Australians whilst she was in London ! It seems that Sally pursued Anthony and eventually wore him down and the rest is history – yesterday they married in Hassop Hall’s fantastic ballroom surrounded by guests and friends from all parts of the world.

Being as many of the guests were Australians I’m sure that the nights celebrations would have been loud and excessive ….. I left them to it after the first dance.

First though I joined fellow photographer Matt Heath at the beautiful All Saints Church in Hertford where Marc and Leah were to be married. The sun was out and it was a welcome change from the very cold weather we have been having. Leah nearly arrived on time and the ceremony was fantastic with everyone getting involved.

Afterwards we just had time for a few pictures outside church before heading off to Down Hall for the reception celebrations to begin. Staff were superb and everything was ready for the newly married couple when they arrived. The sun meant that guests could relax outside in the beautiful grounds of Down Hall whilst having drinks and nibbles.

After some relaxation time with their guests we managed to get the happy couple on their own for some beautiful bride and groom portraits before it was time for the wedding breakfast.

First off though was a fantastic service at the Church of the Annunciation in Chesterfield made even more special as the priest was an old friend. The weather was just about behaving and we were dry and there was no snow – so that could be classed as a result!

After the service everyone travelled to Sheffield for the reception and the staff at Kenwood were as usual efficient and made sure that everyone was well looked after ….. we did some family group shots as the rain started but it didn’t dampen the smiles from Edzia and Sam. After a walk round the grounds for some relaxed bride and groom portraits the happy couple were announced to their guests and the wedding breakfast began.

Great speeches followed and I must say Sam’s two brothers did, I suspect, save him some embarrassment and were very reserved in their recollections of their brother!

Soon it was time for the music and dancing – and I left as the party was in full swing.
