Darrell R. Moore Jr., 53, (Dink), went to be with the Lord Feb. 17, 2012.
He was born Jan. 3, 1959, to Darrell Sr., and Dinah (Waymire) Moore.

He attended Brazil High School, class of 1977. He then joined the National Guard.

He was a veteran of the Desert Storm War.

On Feb. 26, 1977, he married Leandra Orick.

He worked as a truck driver and a mechanic. He enjoyed working on and racing stock cars with his brothers. He also enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father Darrell Sr., brother Kevin and brother Charles Frye, and nephews Dillon Wright and Stephen Moore.

Survivors include his wife Leandra, daughters Tina (Bob), Ina (Dallas), and son Darrell III, grandchildren Dakota Laswell, Dallas, Brayden and Alexsis Wright, Brothers Bill (Kelly), Steve (Tammy), sisters Loretta Frye, Jayne Harrington (Les), Amy Wright (Arley), close friends Stoney and Nikki Lalen, Gene and Wesley Okulovich, Bob and Vickie Cox, Marv Brown, and Bill Tenner, as well as several nieces, nephews and extended family.

He was a father of three, but a dad to many.

Military rights and services will be at Apostolic Church of Jesus Christ, 2861 W. SR 340, Brazil, Ind., 47834, Feb. 24, 2012, at 4 p.m., with Stoney Lalen officiating.

A celebration of his life will be at the church at 2 p.m., until time of service.

A fellowship dinner will follow.

In lieu of flowers, donations to his wife would be appreciated.

Barbara A. Roberts, 77 of Terre Haute formerly of Noblesville died February 3, 2012 at Southwood Nursing Home after a long battle with Alzheimers Disease.  Barbara was born in Poughkeepsie, NY on September 15, 1934, the daughter of Wilfred H and Mary A. (Whitson) Hearst.  Mrs. Roberts was a retired Registered Nurse from Riverview Hospital in Noblesville, IN after 20 years of service.  She enjoyed reading, bowling, crossword puzzles, watching her kid’s sporting events and her grandchildren.  Mrs. Roberts was the coach of her daughters winning softball team, loved IU basketball, Chicago Cubs baseball, and had a great sense of humor.  Barbara was preceded in death by her parents.  Mrs. Roberts is survived by daughters; Tracy Roberts-Shirazi, Susan Roberts, Robin Robertson, Joani (Dallas) Kelsey , Kerry (Larry) Simmons and Carole Coyer.  Grandchildren; Sarrah, Royah, Leilah, Mariah, Ariah, Cory, Sam, Justin, Hannah, Gabrielle, Danielle, Jordan, Connor and Braden.  Great-Grandchild Kalina Melody Crawford.  Brother Edward (Claire) Hearst and Sister Doris(Chris) Gallo.   A Celebration of Life will be held  at 3:00 PM Saturday February 25 at The Journey Christian Fellowship Church 1313 Lafayette Avenue With Rev Ric May officiating.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to services and there will be a fellowship meal immediately following services.  In Lieu of flowers, Donations may be made to Vista Care Hospice 3401 South 4^th Street Terre Haute, IN 47802 or the Barbara A. Jane Ann Bayles  61 of West Terre Haute formerly of Clinton died Thursday at her daughters residence.   Jane  was born in Terre Haute the daughter of Mickey G. and Barbara (Lawson) Lowe Dahlquist Scott.  Jane was retired from the bakery department at the Clinton IGA and was a member of the Apostolic Bible Church in Clinton.  Jane was preceded in death by her parents.  Jane is survived by her daughter Lisa Bayles Melvin (Tim) Sanquenetti of West Terre Haute  , Granddaughter , Kassidie Sanquenetti, Kayleigh Williams,  Amber Melvin,  Sister Christy Fenton of Terre Haute,  Great Grand Child Trystin Mills  Nieces; Wendy Silvers, Crystal Smock.  Cousins Paula Trueblood and Cheryl Lawson. Gary D. Yates, 56 of Terre Haute died February 2, 2012 at Royal Oaks Nursing Home. Harold E. Akers, 54 of Terre Haute entered into Heaven Friday February 3, 2012 with his loving family at his side.  Mr. Akers was born in Terre Haute November 2, 1957 the son of Eugene and Jenevive  (Walker) Akers.  Harold was a self employed brick mason, a member of New Bethel Baptist Church and a United States Veteran.  He was preceded in death by his mother and brother Daniel Akers.  Survivors include his wife Terry (Lawson) Akers of Terre Haute; sons Joshua Lloyd and Allen (Tiffany) Lloyd all of Terre Haute; Daughters Bonnie and Jenny Akers both of Terre Haute; Step-son Steven Flack of Terre Haute; Brothers Robert and Dude Akers both of Terre Haute, Joe Akers of Arkansas, Mike Akers of Clinton and Sister Ann Cox of Terre Haute, several Grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.  Graveside services will be Tuesday, 10:00 AM at Grandview Cemetery with Pastor Clyde Gregg officiating; immediately following there will be a memorial service at New Bethel Baptist Church 3001 Maple Avenue with a fellowship meal following.  The Family would like to give special thanks to Pastor Clyde Gregg and the New Bethel Baptist church for their prayers and support at this difficult time.  Please deiver flowers to the church.  Arrangements are under the direction of Simple Cremations and Burials of Clinton. Katherine Maxine Irwin Tumey, 92, of Marshall, Illinois, passed away in her sleep and joined her husband, Ed, on Saturday, January 28, 2012 in Norman Oklahoma while visiting her youngest granddaughter, Kylei.  She was born in Brocton, Illinois on June 28, 1919 to Dayton Irwin and Minnie Bedwell Irwin.  Katherine married Edward “Ed” Gerald Tumey on June 29, 1937 in Pekin, Illinois. Her beloved husband preceded her in death on September 30, 1988.

Together with her husband, Katherine was the co-owner of the E&L Confectionary (Marshall), The Other Place (Marshall), White Barn (Casey), and the Country Kitchen (Casey).  In addition, Katherine also worked for many years at the Visiting Nurses and the AP&S Clinic in Terre Haute, Indiana.  She was a proud member of Republican Women, Eastern Star, and Pythian Sisters involving herself with several community projects.  For the last several years of her life she was retired, enjoying her time as a homemaker with her family.

Katherine is survived by her son, Jerry (Mary Ann) Tumey of Marshall, Illinois, children Kimberley (Hervey) Willis of Indianapolis, Indiana, Kelli (Steve) Grady of Terre Haute,  Edward Gerald “Egie” Tumey of Marshall, and Kylei Tumey of Norman, Oklahoma; son, John (Marie) Tumey of Ottawa, Illinois, children Mike Tumey of Ottawa, and Kathy (Jim) Crow of Crown Point, Indiana; seven great-grand children (Brittany, Taylor, Dillon, Julie, McKayla, Dawson and Connor), one great-great-grandchild (Xavier) and numerous nieces and nephews.  Katherine was a beloved mother, grandmother, and aunt who will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Services to celebrate Katherine’s life will be held on Saturday, February 4, 2012 at the First Christian Church of Marshall, Illinois at 2:00 p.m., with burial to follow in the Marshall Cemetery.  Visitation will be held Friday, February 3, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Katherine Tumey Memorial Fund during any services at the Church.

Thomas A. Hoke, 62 of West Terre Haute died Saturday January 28, 2012 at his residence.  Tom was retired from CSX railroad. Tom was born March 12, 1949 in Blanford, the son of  Andrew A. and Hazel E. (Gill) Hoke.   He was a member of the Sons of the American Leigon in Vincinnes , and the Clinton Eagles.  Tom was preceded in death by his parents.  Mr. Hoke is survived by his wife Peggy S. (Kelly) Hoke of West Terre Haute,  Children Laurie Ann Lowe (Danny) of Terre Haute, Bradley Hoke of Clinton, Kelly Nevins of Rockville .  4 Grandchildren  3 Great Grandchildren

Loretta Lynn (King) Jackson, 40 of Rosedale died Friday at Clinton Gardens.    Loretta was born October 1, 1971 in Clinton the daughter of Bill and Betty (King) Shaw.  She was a homemaker.  Survivors include her husband Ben Jackson Jr. of Rosedale.  Mother; Betty Shaw (Harry Branch) of Watseka, Illinois ; Sister Annette M. Shaw of Rockville brother Hank Shaw of Bloomingdale Roger Shaw of Indiana, Chuck Shaw of Montezuma.  Preceded in death by her father.
