When we pitched our treatment for Paul White’s “Trust” video, we wanted to create an aesthetic that visually matched the theme and tone of the music. Sparse, dirty, urban, unnerving. We filmed in carefully selected areas and avoided all recognizable monuments – transporting the viewer to an unnamed abandoned city that only now becomes alive through the pulsing bass of the music. Our visual effects team layered this environment with audio waveforms, passages from Guilty Simpson’s harsh lyrics, and heavy color grading to accompany the gritty nature of the song.

FlipMe.com came to us with the task of handling their launch video, which would highlight their unique approach as a dating service with a light and informative feel. We shot in various locations around New York City, licensed music, recorded voiceover, and created motion graphics to match their existing design work.

Filmed on both coasts, we sought to deliver vivid imagery of nature’s beauty that would match the ideals of GeoPeak Energy, a global renewable energy company. We achieved this through a mixture of static and time lapse footage, from waterscapes to city skylines. Simple Machine managed all aspects of the production, from shooting on location, to the edit and coloring stages, and mastering the commercial with professional narration and original music composition.
