My little guy, who is not so little anymore, needed a cake for a bake sale this weekend:) In order for the 1st grade to go on a field trip with a bus, they needed to raise the funds to go. The 1st grade teachers went together and worked their tails off, to make it happen. The last I heard the money was raised!!!
Here is to many more bake goods for school:)

I had the pleasure of capturing Poise Pilates of Ulysses Kansas in action. I can honestly say, that I am totally bummed that it is in Ulysses and not Hugoton. I would LOVE to take classes there. Jasey, is the epitome of calm and strength. I have no trouble seeing her as an awe inspiring coach.

I read this today quote today, and it hit home.
What is in on my iPad you ask... OK, no one asked, but I thought you might like to know.
I am one of those people:) What I mean is that I like to read multiple books at one time. It is not unusual for me to have a couple books going at the same time. My crazy reading style has escalated with the purchase of my iPad. Now I have Nine, you read that right, books that I am reading simultaneously.
This one however, I keep going back to and soaking up a chapter and thinking about what I read.

1. Sleeping in until seven with my husband on a Saturday.
2. Garrett ecstatic because he is having a sleepover.
3. A new stove
4. It rained, we can always use the rain
5. Date night at Huney's
6. Entertaining tonight
7. I have a family I adore
8. I am a mom
9. I have friends
10. My family adores me
11. I love my farmer
12. We actually like each other on most days:)

What is your everyday love?
I like to think of those times when I am in the middle of a project, and I can sigh a sigh of contentedness. I love my everyday life. Today, I just put on a pot of chicken and vegetables to end up with chicken stock and pulled chicken for the week. Sigh~Sigh~Sigh
Don't get me wrong, I have days when I just can't find any joy in the tasks that I am doing, but they are few and far between. I am so very thankful for my life.
Last week, I had a chance to try a new recipe for chicken ravioli, and it was another on of those moments when life just feels good. The light coming in the kitchen was divine, the boys were out of the house working at the kennels, and the ravioli turned out better than I had hope for. While I and the kitchen were covered in flour, all I could think about was that my Grandma Toni was smiling down on me:)
OK, so I am back to sighing.
