1. Linkedin for Android – Download

If you’re not ‘Linkedin’ yet then you are missing out.  Linkedin is the professional  social network that connects millions of job seekers to new opportunities.  It also allows you to connect with fellow co-workers, get recommendations and join professional groups.  The Linkedin Android app allows you to explore your network on the go.  You can get updates from your connections and  view important messages from contacts.  The next time you roll into an interview you will be prepared with the Linkedin Android app.

2. Netflix for Android – Download

Netflix finally made it’s way to Android devices with an awesome new app.  You can now get Netflix movies three ways, by mail, streamed to your T.V. and now straight to your phone.  Download this and you will be able to watch movies and television shows right on your Android phone.  There is no extra charge as it’s part of the Netflix unlimited  membership.  You can also start a Netflix show or movie from your phone and then finish it from your T.V. right where you left off.  The Netflix for Android app is not available yet for all Android models but will be shortly.

3. WebMD for Android – Download

Do you want 24/7 access to health information while on the go?  Well WebMD for Android delivers just that as you can access an abundance of health information no matter where you are.  Some of the go-to features are the WebMD symptom checker, pill identification tool and local health listings.  The symptom checker is our favorite as it lets you select a part of the body where you are having symptoms to then find out what may be the problem.

Verizon has the DROID Charge listed at $299 with a 2 year contract.  Some would argue that the enhanced display justifies the high price tag.  While it is indeed nice to look at we think that might be just a little high.  The Charge comes equipped with Android 2.2 and a 1GHz Hummingbird processor.  While it’s not as attractive as the HTC Thunderbolt the Charge certainly lives up to its name.

The Droid X2 comes with a 4.3 qHD touchscreen and is powered by a Tegra 2 1GHz processor.  At this point it looks like it will come packaged with Android 2.2 but we wouldn’t be surprised if 2.3 came into play.  You get a 8mp camera with dual LED flash and an HD camcorder.  The X2 looks a lot like the original Droid X and that’s not necessarily a bad thing.  Keep it locked her for more news about the Motorola Droid X2.

Netflix for Android features an easy to use interface and lets users browse their queue.  You can also watch a program from your phone and finish it from your T.V. or computer.  Once you login and your accounts are synced you can use this feature.  The app is free and requires a Netflix account but at the moment it is only available on a handful of Android phones.  You can expect Netflix to release it on more Android models in the near future.

The Sirius XM Radio Android app comes with a lot of great features.  Users can easily navigate through an extensive channel lineup and see what’s playing on each channel via the “lookaround’ feature.  There are over 120 channels to listen to and the built-in favorites tab lets users bookmark their top stations for easy access.  This app is not yet available in the Android Market but you can download it by visiting http://www.siriusxm.com/android.

If you just can’t wait for the OTA update and want Android 2.2 now, head over to Phandroid for an easy way to update to Froyo manually.  In case you missed it Android 2.2 is a pretty significant update.  It will include some great new features like Adobe Flash support, SD card app backup and a new homescreen tips widget.  Best of all Android 2.2 is a lot faster than previous versions.  Now the question is which Android phone will be the next to receive Android 2.2?
