Sometimes we slip into thinking that if we obey God, He somehow owes us for our obedience. But God doesn’t owe us anything—we owe Him everything.

Obedience isn’t a way to impress Him or earn His blessings. It’s our grateful response to the grace He’s already given…and the pathway that leads us into the life that’s truly life.

So don’t treat obedience—or serving backstage-as a stepping stone to the spotlight.

Let it be an expression of gratitude to the One who has already given you more than you could ever give back to Him.

Care For Others Without Trying To Be Their Savior

As believers, we’re called to carry each other’s burdens—but we’re not called to carry all of them.

Sometimes, trying to help too much actually makes us part of the problem. We need to discern what God is asking us to carry-and what He’s asking us to release. There are moments to step in, and moments to step back.

Learn to care for others without trying to be their Savior. Find your rest in Jesus—the One who never stops carrying and can carry what you never could.

Don’t look up to someone who looks down on others. Those who try to feel big by putting others down aren’t worth your attention. Look for the best in others and give your best to them.

When God Seems Silent

God is always speaking, but we’re often too distracted to listen.

We look for Him in the spectacular, but He often speaks the most through the quiet moments in His Word, with His People, and the gentle impressions that settle into our soul.

Be grateful for the mountaintops.
Seek Him in the valleys.
Don’t overlook Him in the ordinary rhythms of your everyday life.

God is just as present in the mundane as He is in the miraculous.

When You’re Feeling Stuck
