During the month of July numerous bullfights will be held at the Plaza de Toros. After having watched a bullfight you will be left with a deep cultural impression of Spanish traditions with its splendid spectacle of music, costume and colour. A parade begins this spectacle, with stunning floats pulled by horses parading down the streets. On the floats are Valencians wearing clothes in accordance with their boast’s theme. Superb artwork and designs are to be seen on the magnificent floats – some are actually made of real flowers! After an award ceremony for the best styled floats, the battle of the flowers begins as audience and float people throw flowers heads at each other until every last flower is gone. This culminates in a huge fantastic firework display.
