I'm not a sewer or a great seamstress. In fact, I can't find my way around a sewing machine, but I had some onsies that I'd purchased from consignment shops and wanted to "spruce" them up so I thought about some iron-on transfers. But there aren't too many out there that caught my eye, not too mention a little too pricey for the design and sizes; I did however consider appliqués and really like the dimensions and uniqueness they have. So I surfed the net to find a way to make one and ran across these instructions:

This seems super-simple and may give this a try once I locate the heat & bond paper!

Simple Notes of Thanks!

I recently had a surprise baby shower and was really touched by the thoughtful gifts that my friends gave...so I only felt that I send a heart felt thanks by creating some hand made Thank You cards.

Here are a few that I have for sale at my shops!

These cards are crafted on embellished 4 x 5 periwinkle note cards with scalloped edges. On the back I added a white blank paper to add your personal message. Each cards come with their own white envelope.

These are really sweet and simple notes of thanks to send to anyone!

New Necklaces!

Less than 30 days before my little bundle arrives, but this past weekend I was able to visit my fav craft stores and sit and make some items which have been added to my shops. Here are a couple of projects that I completed...

I had some flatbacks sitting in my box for almost a year and couldn't figure out what or how to to use them. Well after a visit to a local bead store I found some findings, particularly a silver uniquely shaped finding. I had a charm that I was using for a bracelet but opted to attach it and the flatbacks to a silver chain and clear beads and what I created I named: Crystal Blue Ice Queen Necklace!

I was pretty impressed with how it turned out...and I hope you are too! This is too sweet to let get away, so if you're looking to accessorize your outfit for an upcoming event or give as a valentines gift...why not pick this!

I also had some glass tiles that I wanted to use so rummaging thru my stack of paper I found this brightly colored sheet that had some nice blues, yellow & pink...added a silver bail and attached it to a silver chain and VOILA!

Baby Shower Gift?

Well in a few months I'll be expecting my very first child...pretty scary...still hasn't hit me yet that I'm T-minus 57 days much less will be welcoming a new addition to my family.

So during the past few months I've been trying to cope with the stressors at work, picking up some things for the new arrival, dealing with heartburn, making new jewelry and other items to add to my shops, and every "fun" events that life has to offer.

I recently went home for Thanksgiving and found my mom on her crocheting-spree. She made like four blankets and caps...LOL. I'm like, I won't need all these blankets but she insisted I take them home. I gave a set to a friend who's also expecting and I have one in my overnight bag and have another for when we go visit grandma...which left this one set you see here that I added to my shop for sale. This would make a great baby shower gift for any new mom. One other great thing about this set is it was handmade with love!

So asides from jewelry I think I have a new addiction to paper crafts and stamping! I recently went on a shopping spree (sorta) at Micheal's, A.C. Moore's & JoAnne's Fabric and purchased some Martha Stewart Craft supplies, card stock, clear stamps and paper and other things...I also picked up a couple of paper craft magazines on card making and was ready to give it a go...

This past Saturday & Sunday after running errands, I told myself that I would create at least ONE card before the weekend is up and well this is what I did:

Since finishing my recent summer class I was able to play catch up with some jewelry making. Below are some of my "newest" creations. I guess you can tell that three is a favorite number of mine?? Or coincidence...who knows, I had fun creating them and hope you enjoy!

Classic Purple Three Cubed Necklace

Elegant and Bold are three crystal cubed beads, separated by silver textured rondel spacers hanging on an 18 in silver-plated chain.

A sophisticated look for evening, weddings or any time.

Vintage Dream Rose Dangle Earrings

These vintage inspired dangle earrings have three round flat donut faceted glass beads dangling off of brass ear hooks. Partitioned by two brass spacers and adorned by a pink faceted tear drop. These earrings are light and won't tug on your ears. Measures 2.5 inches in length.

Blue is such a calm and relaxing color...when I found these beads I whipped up something pretty quick!

Beaded with jet black bicone beads and a unique black clasp this Cerulean Blue Bracelet was derived.

I've been MIA for the past month or so, mainly because I had been taking an online class. Just finished my final exam and turned it in so I am DONE! That's until next term, but in any case I now can utilize my weekends to start creating jewelry again. To celebrate finishing my class I wanted to share with all of you a couple of necklaces that you can wear on a night out to celebrate.

Here is the Gracie Necklace.
