………..Happy New Year to all you lovelies!

Recently I’ve discovered that when I pray (or ask the Universe) to help someone I care about, if I ask for what I think they need specifically it doesn’t seem to work. I’ve changed my prayers/requests to asking for happiness to be sent to them in the best possible way. I realised that ‘I’ was deciding what they needed. I was obviously wrong. Asking for them to be sent what helps them to be happy seemed to get much better results, I am very pleased to say!

With this in mind I have asked the question ‘How can I make myself happier?’ for these Taroscopes.

Have a think about discarding habits or behaviours that are now routine for you, and about setting off on a metaphorical ‘exciting adventure’ by doing something totally different. As a Geminian myself, I did not feel disturbed about the Death card at the beginning of this reading. In fact I feel some relief, because this card means that a situation which no longer is serving me is about to end. There may be heightened emotions towards the end of the month according to the Ace of Cups. This card suggests there will be a lot of energy around an emotional situation – it would be wise to approach things carefully and calmly at this time. However, this card could, instead, represent a new relationship coming your way. This might be a romantic alliance but it could mean that you really hit it off with someone who comes into your life in another way. Either way this card is generally a very positive energy card and the more you put into the situation the more you will get out of it.

VIRGO:

Be like the Knight of Pentacles to start the month of November. This Knight approaches his tasks and duties with great care and attention – he makes sure he knows what he is doing, ensures each individual detail is correct, he is dependable and works hard to complete everything to the best of his abilities – this is the secret of his success. Should you put as much effort and application to your tasks then it is likely you will find yourself rewarded by some sort of improvement in your financial situation.

If you should come across a problem, a hurdle or an obstacle in the middle of the month, the Five of Wands advises you to take the time to look at this obstacle from all angles to find the solution as to how to overcome it. Do not allow yourself to be fazed by its appearance – you will be able to find your way round/over it if you look carefully into how this is blocking your way – there is always a solution if you take the time to observe it closely.

The positive Nine of Pentacles suggests that, come the end of the month, you are likely to feel very good about your financial situation. At the beginning of the month of November, according to the Four of Swords, you should take some time to rest and recuperate after a difficult time. You are likely to still feel stressed and worn out – perhaps even upset about something. It will be important to look after yourself and reset your equilibrium and energy levels so that you can start to recover. It may seem unfair that this recovery will mostly be down to you to achieve, but only you will know what should be done, and to what extent; you need to look after your own needs right now and you know them better than anyone. Only take on what you know you can cope with at the moment.

Whilst your situation is probably not ideal (Six of Swords) you do have the capacity to cope with everything with calm and serenity. Perhaps things can’t change drastically for the better just yet but you are more than able to see this period through. Just take one day at a time and think of ways that you can alter the situation for the better when the right time arrives (you’ll know exactly what you will want). It’s admirable that you can keep putting one foot in front of the other just now, however this situation will help you in the future (in ways you can’t possibly understand at the moment), so keep going – you are doing incredibly well.

The lovely Ten of Pentacles to represent the end of the month should cheer you up no end – in that it is a very positive card on the financial front. It would seem that your income and home security is likely to be established and secure which should give you at least one thing you shouldn’t have to worry about. With the positive energy around this card the end of the month, it might be a good time to make solid plans with your money to keep everything tickety-boo, with enough left to allow yourself the comforts you enjoy.

SCORPIO:

The Queen of Pentacles kicks off the start of November with a nice result – in that she should represent being in an excellent situation in terms of finances. Whilst she is viewed as being in the enviable position of not relying on anyone else for her needs, she also brings a message about being careful with money. She only spends her wealth on those she deems worthy and reliable and, in particular, those who are loyal to her. She will not spend her money recklessly or on anyone/anything that doesn’t bring anything to her table. In other words her advice would be to have gratitude for being in an excellent position in terms of finances, but to also be careful how you use that money.

It would seem that in the middle of the month you could find that a painful or even upsetting situation/problem will come to an end (Eight of Swords). Whilst there is likely to be relief that this situation (whatever it is) is over, you could find yourself feeling upset in some ways. You might find that you can’t have something that you really wanted, or you now understand that something is not right for you and can let it go – whatever this might be it is worth remembering that as one door closes another opens. Ensure that you keep your eyes on the joys of what could come in the future rather than what you’ve given up in the past.

The Devil card seems to endorse this since this card is about what your mindset does to you and how it can impede your progress. It is easy to get into a negative way of thinking, perhaps you will feel you are not ‘worthy’ of good things. Perhaps long standing habits make you think things can never change and you’ll be stuck in this same rut forever. Actually, you should be able to turn your mindset, and attitude, to more positive way of thinking with some work – and this could set you free from the thoughts holding you ‘prisoner’ to your current way of life. The Page of Cups is a card which suggests that there is some pain that holds you back from really being able to embrace a new relationship. Once that pain is accepted and acknowledged – then pigeon holed in its rightful place in the past – it is likely that you will be ready to try a new relationship. Just try to reflect honestly about how you feel, not just about what you need, or what you are afraid of but also how you can move on and embrace a future with love. You could be missing out on a love that you truly deserve.

As if to confirm this, the Knight of Cups appears as the last card in the reading. The Three of Wands is a very positive card which suggests that you will reach a stage in your work that shows real achievement and success. This is great news, and although there might still be further to go on this journey, you can give yourself a pat on the back and be proud. Your work has established something solid now and you can really build on the foundations you have set – well done! You should see something tangible which validates all your hard work at the beginning of November.

Furthermore, you may see an idea emerge from this success/business/work which could provide a solution where it is most needed and which will help your current situation progress. The Knight of Swords endorses this, in a way, towards the end of the month. This Knight is rash and impulsive – he charges into situations without knowledge of the issue at hand, he fights first and asks questions later and often finds himself embarrassed at engaging in a conflict with no advantage to him. This card is about avoiding challenges that will cause you to lose your energy or resources, it asks you to find out what is worth fighting for, and what to walk away from. Again, conflict is not worth engaging with (even if you think you can win) if it costs too much of your own well-being – ask yourself whether any of this challenge/conflict is worth the cost, and protect your own energies and resources.

ARIES:

The Eight of Cups is a card which indicates that a particular relationship (and it might not be a romantic one) has reached the stage where it feels that it just cannot be repaired. Perhaps you feel that you have done all that you can to make things right. This could make you feel sad, obviously, but at the same time it means you can start looking and moving towards a better place for you. Once you can accept that this relationship has nowhere to go, and you let go, you will be able to take the first steps to recovery and a brighter future where this relationship can no longer hinder your progress. So, take a deep breath, allow yourself to break free from it and focus on the people that really can bring joy into your life.

The Hanged Man represents a particular situation, towards the middle of the month, in which pushing for the solution to it is not the answer. Submitting to being patient, and allowing the situation to unfold in its own way, is. So, you might find yourself having to repress the itch to ‘do something about it’ and allow things to flow the way they will. No amount of pushing, or demanding, will make this work the way you want it to and might only cause further problems for you. Just relax into the situation for the time being and you’ll see that there comes a time when things will fall into place.

Try to not hark back to previous relationships which might ‘seem’ to have been better than they were, at the tail end of October. Looking/thinking back on things can take a lot of the real pain and difficulty out of the picture giving us a slightly ‘rose tinted’ view of things. Whilst it is always possible to repair an old relationship, both parties will need to have grown to understand the reason why it didn’t work out and both be prepared, now, to put the effort in to try to make it work – the Six of Cups just wants to remind you that your memories of what it was ‘like’ might not be quite realistic, so think carefully about whether this relationship is something you really want to reignite.

TAURUS:

The coming month might be quite significant for Taureans as represented by three Major Arcana cards.

To start with we have the lovely World card which indicates a very successful period could be coming your way in October. This is probably the most positive card in a tarot deck and suggests that you are likely to have signs that things are going incredibly well. You have worked hard and succeeded in pretty much every aspect of life to date, and perhaps it is time to just really relax and enjoy yourself. Things are likely to really go your way at the beginning of the coming month and this card would suggest you tackle any outstanding issues at this time – they’ll probably turn out very well.

Towards the middle of the month you may find that you just need to stop and think about your life for a time. Temperance is an important card which represents the need to find some balance, often in a particular situation and one which suggests that you need to listen to, and act upon, what your heart is telling you rather than what your common sense head is saying. Pouring love into the situation is what will work best. You have come a long way, and now it’s time to stop – look back at what you have achieved, be proud and reset your aims around the knowledge you have gained so far.

The Lovers is another card which has some importance, in that it is a card of ‘choice’, and you might find that it is relevant for you. The Lovers often represents the choice regarding a key romantic relationship, however since all relationships are important, it could also be referring to a family member, a friend, or even a work colleague. The message with The Lovers is that though you may have to choose whether you want in, or out, of the relationship, it is important that you consider the feelings of everyone involved and deal with it kindly and carefully. It is ok to end relationships which do not serve their purpose anymore, but it is not ok to do it in a hurtful, or nasty, way. You may decide, to continue with this relationship but in a more distanced way. Whatever you decide, be kind.

GEMINI:

You may find yourself in an action-packed October according to all these Wands cards.

This suit is all about effort, drive, projects, travels or moves of some sort, and the Knight of Wands indicates that you are ready to set off on a new adventure! Perhaps you have been feeling a little bored with recent events and are thinking that there should be more to life! Of course it is fine to get on your charger and look for something more interesting to do. Sometimes, though, the Knight of Wands misses out on completing a task and never enjoys the sense of success in doing so – because he heads off to find something else when he’s had enough. It is likely the next two cards can give some insight into whether you should set off somewhere else, or stay and complete the task at hand.

The next Wands card is the Nine of Wands, which indicates exhaustion and feeling unable to finish the course – possibly wanting to give up on everything you’ve been working on. The message with this card is to ‘keep going’, to not give up because you are so close to the finishing line (the ten number cards are completion cards and this is the nine). This would suggest that seeing through your commitments (unlike the Knight of Wands) are close at hand and it will be much more pleasurable and rewarding if you can just summon up the last vestiges of energy to finish the task.

The Four of Wands is a card which represents effort and hard work finally paying off. This card encourages you to see that this project is worthwhile and you’ll see results starting to come through by the end of October. So, all in all these cards are saying use your energies to complete the work/tasks you have undertaken because you are about to see some brilliant results – and that this is not the time to take off on a new adventure; stick to what you are doing and achieve what the Knight of Wands can’t – finding out how rewarding seeing something through to the end can be.

CANCER:

Initially, in October, the Four of Pentacles might be asking you to consider a chance to improve your future financially. Whilst it is important to be careful with money, it is sometimes the case that, rather than taking a risk, we miss out on a golden opportunity to improve our situation. So, if you get some kind of option, or offer, with regard to your income – don’t dismiss it outright because of fear of what might happen to your finances – at least consider it and try to work out whether you could manage financially should things not work out. This might be an amazing opportunity.

The middle of October could bring you a feeling that you have come to a full stop because of a particular obstacle, or hurdle, in your path (Five of Wands). You might feel you can’t get over or through it, but with some careful thought, and looking at the issue from every angle, you are likely to be able to find the solution and the way to overcome it. These hurdles are a key experience to help you develop strategies to overcome difficulties and will stay with you throughout life, so be proactive and don’t let it block your way for long.

If you do follow the advice above, and the obstacle is overcome, you’ll find you will go from strength to strength. The King of Wands is an excellent card to represent your passion, drive and ability to undertake any task and do it well. This King is very successful because he never lets any task overwhelm him; he works hard to understand the issues he faces, and he has the motivation, passionate belief in his own abilities, and has the focused energy to make everything he tackles a successful enterprise – with hard work and effort you can be as successful as he, regardless of what those tasks might be. This King wants you to know that you can do anything!

LEO:

There may be someone around you who you feel is slightly aloof and perhaps unapproachable (Queen of Swords) who may be able to help you in some way. Emotionally, this person does not show their feelings because they wish to protect themselves from hurt and can be distant and uncommunicative in many ways. However, this person might be the very one whose intellectual ability, and knowledge, could really help you. Do not be afraid to ask for their help – they are, in fact, more than likely to be very willing to assist you overcome whatever issue is troubling you at the moment.

The High Priestess in the middle of the month represents that there are the beginnings of a change of destiny for you unfolding in the background. The High Priestess does not tell you what this new destiny will be but she encourages you to be patient and aware of your own intuition – it would be worth noting any ideas or suggestions that grab your attention at this time, and anything you feel interested in could be well worth researching – this might help in the long term when things start to manifest for you – as you could be ready to hit the ground running.

A financial situation towards the end of the month might sap some of your self confidence according to the Five of Pentacles. This can be a complicated tarot card to understand, but the message is about self worth and, to some extent, pride – if finances are tight you may need to offload some of the things that cost you money and things you might consider ‘important’. Really, this card is asking you to prioritise what you actually need to get by, and not to hang on to things that make a statement about your ‘status’ -especially those that make you struggle financially because you might be afraid of ‘what other people might think’ if you have to let something go or give it up. It doesn’t matter what other people think – your ability to manage is more important.

VIRGO:

The Seven of Pentacles is a ‘choice’ card, so it would appear that you might have to make a decision in some way around your finances. This may be a change of job, some adaptation of your income stream or even perhaps an added increase in your spending that you can’t avoid. The message with this card is to carefully consider your current priorities – what you can live without and what you ‘absolutely’ do need to get through this current period. Think back to previous experiences to remember what you have managed with/without in the past – this will help you make the right decision once you know what your new priorities are.

The Page of Swords is a card which demonstrates how misunderstandings and misinterpretation of words, or actions, can get blown out of all proportion. To be safe, be very clear with people about how you are feeling and/or what you need, and why. The same applies the other way round – try to make sure you fully understand what people are trying to convey to you and don’t be afraid to ask for clarification or confirmation around your understanding of what they are trying to say/do – this way potential conflicts will be kept at bay and this is likely to be worth doing in the middle of this coming month.

Toward the end of the month you will be wise to give yourself some much needed pampering and nurturing. When the Queen of Cups appears she almost always wants you to find the lovely you which might have got buried beneath the layers of chores and distractions of day to day issues. Don’t forget that you, too, are loved and loveable and that it might be time to give yourself and those around you a glimpse of the Queen of Cups that is always within you. Treat yourself to a long, luxurious soak in the bath, allow yourself some fun and laughter, show love and accept the love around you and you’ll feel refreshed and beautiful again.

LIBRA:

You may find yourself totally bored, or demotivated, around a particular situation at the start of this coming month according to the Four of Cups – this might, perhaps, be relevant to a particular relationship, of course, since this is a card of the relationships/emotions suit. The important message from this card is that a change in your own mindset could very well make a difference to this situation/relationship and take it to a better level. Instead of focusing on all the negatives of the situation, try focusing on all the positives – it could really turn things around and make you feel much happier.

The King of Swords suggests that trusting your head might be better than using your heart, or gut feelings, in a particular matter in the middle of the month, as it is likely to bring about a better conclusion for you. However, the King of Swords can also sound like he is being harsh with his attitude, and can hurt peoples’ feelings with his words (though his advice is very sound) so try to flower things up with a little love and affection whilst dealing with people – it will get you much further.

The Four of Wands then suggests that you will see some very welcome signs of success around your projects and endeavours; this cards indicates all your efforts are starting to pay off which will be really good news. Give yourself a pat on the back for the hard work you’ve done but don’t relax your efforts just yet as it is still early days. This card suggests you’ll be feeling pretty proud of yourself by the end of the month, so well done and keep up the good work!

The Two of Pentacles suggests that you really are a ‘people’ person – that you are popular and approachable. This card is about successful forging of relationships and the ability to take them further. As this is a Pentacles card it could also suggest a financial partnership of some sort which could be of a lot of use to you in terms of your income. It is possible, you could meet or start to get to know someone who values your ability and contribution in some way, so ensure you use your amazing personality to build a profitable relationship with this person as it could be useful on a financial front. This is a very positive card full of possibilities for your future – don’t let it go to waste by hiding your talents, make the most of them and show people what you are made of.

SCORPIO:

At the beginning of the coming month the Knight of Pentacles is likely to be letting you know that paying attention to detail, and completing tasks fully, is the way to go. This Knight leaves nothing to chance – if he is faced with a task, or a challenge, he makes sure he knows as much as he can about it before engaging with it. He will put his ‘all’ into completing the task, then check and double check that everything he has done is absolutely correct. If you want the same success as he in anything you are working on then perhaps this is the approach you need to take.

In terms of relationships (whether romantic or otherwise) one may well have come to an impasse – where there is little or no chance you will be able to make it work according to the Eight of Cups. Sometimes there are people we have known a long time who no longer serve their purpose in our life and it is time to let go. Once you can accept this and understand that this does happen, you can begin to forge new relationships that will bring more joy to your life. It might not be the fault of anyone in particular – it really can just be the end of the cycle with this person.

The Hermit suggests that the end of the month might be a good time to get some quiet to reset your own goals and aims. Life can confuse us with problems or just bury us under the burden of all the tasks and chores we are expected to complete; then we can forget what our initial goals were and find ourselves lost, and our light dimmed. Perhaps a meditation, or any type of quiet reflection, on how things are going for you – and what needs adjusting or changing – might help. Ask yourself whether this is how you want things to be and, if not, how can you make things better? At the very least find your own heart and soul again, allow peace to salve your hurts and rest enough to charge up your energies again – then you’ll be ready to forge ahead.

SAGITTARIUS:

To start October you are likely to be given signs that a particular project is starting to pay off (Four of Wands). This will be welcome after all the hard work and effort you have put in – and, even though it is still early days, your motivation to carry on will be renewed by seeing this success. Give yourself a pat on the back because you deserve it, but keep working at it because, with more effort, this could grow into something amazing! Well done, you!

In terms of relationships (romantic or otherwise) you might find one puts you in the position of having to choose an option (or make a decision) about how to deal with it, according to the Seven of Cups. The message with this card is not necessarily about which decision is the right one, but about committing to whichever option you choose in order to make it a reality. The Ten of Wands indicates that at some point you might feel somewhat overwhelmed, or tired, with regard to a situation or project you are involved in. A ten numbered card is a ‘completion’ card and suggests you are really, really close to achieving your goal and if you can just summon up the last energy you have, with regard to this situation, you will see it through and it will be worth the effort. You are very nearly there so don’t give up now – the hardest part is likely to be done, you just need to get over the finish line.

CAPRICORN:

The Eight of Pentacles suggests that, as you head into October, your current projects/enterprises have been doing very well. However, there is still more potential to be achieved from them. The Eight of Pentacles indicates that there is, perhaps, a little more you can learn or understand about your work and that some sort of research, practical experience or even an educational course could really help you make the most of that potential. Just take a look to see if there is anything around that can give you an extra insight into your work – it could make a massive difference to your success.

The Three of Swords does indicate that in the middle of October you may find that something in your life is just not working out – and this card indicates that there is little else that can be done to make it work. This, of course, is not ideal……..however it is your approach, your attitude in dealing with this that will make a difference to how quickly you can move on from it. Being able to accept that something is just not ‘meant to be’ is the first step. It might not be the fault of anyone in particular – there are some things we are not meant to have or do – but that means there is likely to be something better ahead for you – even though you feel, at the moment, that there can’t be. Keep focused on the future and try not to get stuck in ‘what might have been’.

This will require a certain strength as endorsed by The Chariot, which is a card which represents being pushed and pulled in different directions by people or circumstances. This card demonstrates the need to grab hold of the reins of your life/circumstances, and needing the strength to steer your own chariot in the direction you need to go. Relationships could be the focus for the first and second part of the month ahead, though it may be that your emotions could just be overwhelming your thinking and confusing your path.

If, as the Five of Cups suggests, your relationship is struggling at the moment the message from this card is to try and turn things around by focusing on all the positives this relationship brings to you, rather than all the negatives. The Nine of Cups is a lovely card to end this reading. It is a card which suggests that your relationships are all thriving and established. This card is about working hard and putting in a lot of effort without any gratitude or movement towards your goals. The Star in the image is about keeping your focus on what is to come – which means that regardless of how mundane your life might feel at the moment please keep working at it and hoping that you are, indeed, making a difference in some way. In other words have faith and hope – believe that what you are doing is very valuable with regard to the bigger picture – and believe that you will be validated for all that you do……and you will see the rewards when the time is right.

CAPRICORN:

To start the month ahead you are likely to see signs of success in a particular project, or venture, you have undertaken, according to the Six of Wands. These signs should indicate that your project is going very well and should continue to do so if you keep up the hard work. Acquiring possessions is nice but to be able to forgo them if you need to, is a valuable trait to have. In other words, some adjustment to what you consider vital in your life, to help you manage financially, will only be painful if you see them as a status symbol and that by losing them you lose ‘face’. If you have to adjust some things around you then don’t give a hoot about what other people ‘think’ – it’s more important that you can manage.

AQUARIUS:

It looks as though you may be coming to the end of a particularly difficult phase for you. The Ten of Swords tends to be associated with a ‘painful ending’ – often with regard to a particular relationship. And this might be the case for you. However, my interpretation of this card is the ending of the pain – whether it is about a relationship or about a situation which has been particularly difficult for you. This should, actually, bring you a lot of relief. It is time for good things to happen. It is time to leave the pain in the past. A new cycle begins – make sure you don’t make the same mistakes and ensure that you make the most of this new phase. Put a smile on your face and make it work.

The Eight of Wands endorses this as once this painful era is over and obstacles in your path are removed, you will forge forward free of restraints. This means you are likely to have a very busy time – perhaps an even tiring time – but the great news is that you will be hugely productive too! Make the most of this passion, drive and energy around you – it could get you much further than you could possibly have hoped for!

In terms of love and relationships you might feel a bit bored, or perhaps demotivated, and not be interested in romance at all. That’s fine if you are not interested in having someone in your life, but if you are then you’ll need to wake up and start to think about how to make it a reality for you. Nothing comes without effort and if you want to be loved, you’ll need to start showing some interest for the energy to start flowing.

PISCES:

The Seven of Pentacles is a card which could indicate that you may have a decision to make with regard to your work, business or income. Whatever the options are, it will help you to make that decision if you understand your actual current needs and recognise your priorities, right now, which may have changed from recent times. Look to your past to examine what you have managed with, or without, and what is necessary now. You will be able to make a more informed decision, and it will be one that you should be able to justify in the future should you need to.

The Strength card, representing the middle of the month, is really about your ‘approach’ to a particular need. For instance if you feel you need some recognition for something you’ve done, or you feel you deserve a pay rise, or a promotion, then your approach to getting this resolved will be the key to success. This is about having ‘power’ and ‘strength’ in a particular way. It suggests that you can demand the outcome you desire, however, the best way to get the result you want is from gentle, but firm, persuasion. If you want a good outcome it is better to demonstrate why you deserve it, rather than pushing to have it handed to you on a plate. Be assertive not aggressive.

Relationships might be the focal point toward the end of the coming month. This is represented by the Five of Cups which is a card which suggests you feel that relationship issues can’t be resolved. This card would advise that this is not necessarily the case. If you stop focusing on all the negative aspects of the relationship, and attend to the healing that is needed, you are likely to be able to reconcile – there is still hope if you can find the love to treat the wound.

In the first part of July there is likely to be a lot energy around your emotions, or a potential new relationship could emerge. Aces, in a tarot deck, represent an embryonic idea, or opportunity, which could develop further with a some input from yourself. You may find yourself very emotional either in a happy or, sometimes, sad way – if you explore your feelings at this time this could result in understanding yourself a little more. In terms of a relationship, which could be either platonic or romantic, you are likely to meet someone new. This is, more often than not, a joyous tarot card which represents all the excitement and fun around a potential relationship which, with your encouragement, may be the start of something very special. Either way be alert to what makes your heart beat faster and what makes you feel elated and engaged with life – this is likely to be the focus of the Ace of Cups.

The Six of Pentacles, which, here, representing the middle part of the month, suggests you might be the recipient of a financial gift or bonus. This card suggests that someone could help you out with regard to your income (or finances), which would be extremely welcome to you at this time. Not only could this gift/bonus help you in the obvious way but the generosity of this person is likely to restore your faith in humankind. If this does happen for you, do make the most of this gift since this rarely happens – and it could be the start of a trajectory to being more financially independent, so don’t fritter it away.

In terms of love, the King of Cups suggests that you could, indeed, find the love you have wanted in your life. This is the highest card in terms of ‘people’ cards and could represent a person around you who fills that need. If you are not currently interested in a relationship it is possible that this card has appeared to remind you that love is the supreme power in life and avoiding relationships, to avoid pain, might mean you miss out on amazing joy and happiness. It’s up to you of course, but it really is worth considering the upsides of a new relationship before ruling one out by force of habit. True love is not around every corner and there may not be many more opportunities.

TAURUS:

Wow! These are very lovely cards for a reading.

Starting with Temperance, for the start of the month ahead, it would seem that it is time to bring some balance to your life. This card is about stopping to think about how far you have come, to see whether you are happy with what you have achieved and what you need to focus on going forward – to realign, or reset, your goals. This card could be about balancing out the way you are approaching a particular situation – or indeed life in general – it is about using your emotions far more, pouring love into the mix rather than just using your head (intellect and logic). Whilst you may have done well with your approach so far, now is the time to allow your heart to have a say, and to show the love you feel for those around you. You’ll be surprised how well this will work for you.

The Two of Cups endorses this, since this card represents the development of a new relationship and it moving up to a more serious level where there is a commitment of some kind. In reality this doesn’t necessarily have to be a romantic relationship, it could be any person coming in to your life and bringing something really worthwhile to your table. This is a really happy card full of fun and excitement, and one which suggests this person could bring you a lot of joy.

The Sun is probably one of the most positive cards in a tarot deck – the meaning of it being that the nurturing energies of the sun will be shining on you at the end of the month. Often this suggests that things are likely to go really well for you; whatever task you undertake is completed with ease and success, and it is a time of happiness and joy. You should feel an incredible sense of gratitude for all the wonderful things in your life. Make the most of this amazing energy shining on you – ensure you get any outstanding issues, or tasks (that you may have been avoiding), sorted since this is the best time to do it with The Sun’s energy around you.

GEMINI:

Initially, in July, it seems that, having faced hurdles and difficulties in respect of your project, you will find they have now been removed. This leaves you free to forge ahead and get on with the very things you needed, and wanted, to do. This does also mean that you are likely to be very busy indeed, and whilst you might be tired, and to some extent overwhelmed, you’ll find that it will be a hugely productive time which will please you immensely. It will help if you could be very clear in your communication with these people (and know your subject well), so that they can really begin to understand where you stand, and why. This will prevent things blowing up out of proportion.

The Nine of Wands indicates that towards the end of the month you (understandably) might feel exhausted with everything that’s been going on. This nine numbered card suggests that you are very close to reaching your goal, and even though you might feel like just giving up, if you just summon up the last dregs of your energy, for the remaining sprint, you will surely reach your goal and feel amazing for doing so. CANCER:

At the beginning of July there may be a focus on love interests in your life. It might be that you need some advice about yours, or you may be asked for advice from someone you know. The King of Cups however, generally represents someone who has experienced love and can speak knowledgeably about relationships and what they involve – however, this King can do the talking but is reluctant to engage in a relationship personally in order to avoid pain. He is reluctant to give love a go. If this is you then the message might be to not avoid new relationships through fear of failure, but to at least consider the wonderful time you might have by engaging with a new love – don’t let fear stop you missing out on what could be the most wonderful thing that ever happened to you.

In the middle of the month the Nine of Wands suggests you could be feeling exhausted from recent efforts and the issues that you’ve had to deal with………but don’t give up. If you focus on what you now need in your life, and take some lessons from your past experiences you should be able to justify any decision you come to. You know what you can manage with (or without) and you are more than able to adapt to different circumstances so don’t let this possible ‘change’ rattle you. Consider your situation carefully so that you make the right decision for you.

What does he want to tell you? Well, that you are loving and loveable. The ideal person in terms of romance. This Knight is always in search of the perfect love and, as he as appeared as your birthday card, his message is more about how people see you and that you are attractive and alluring. He is likely to also be saying that love could well be coming your way soon – perhaps your next relationship is already on its path to you – someone could be seeking you out especially. How will this new love find you? By YOU extending your love into the Universe and saying you are ready to accept them in your life – and, whilst you are doing this, have a very clear list in your mind of the qualities you would like this person to have.

If you are not interested in a new relationship then this card wants you know that you are very much loved – whether you hear and see that, or not, from the people around you is irrelevant – this is his message to you. Perhaps it’s time to hold your head up and set off for a wonderful new adventure like this Knight would do – there’s no doubt you are ready for some fun and laughter and exciting times, so go for it!

LEO:

It looks as though a tricky and possibly painful episode in your life is heading towards its end. Whilst this might not feel like great news looking at these cards, the reality is that this particular situation is not ideal for you and, with it ending, there will come some real relief.

The Eight of Swords tends to highlight something you might feel you ‘want’ – whether that is a person, a job or anything that you particularly feel a desire for – is not going to happen for you. You may feel disappointed about that, of course, but in truth there are better things heading your way which will suit you more. These new opportunities will only be noticed by you if you accept the ending of this situation and move forward. The Ten of Swords brings the finality of this difficult situation – the realisation, and understanding, of what has happened and why it was not right for you. Towards the end of the month the Queen of Swords could represent a rather cold and logical attitude to life. This is not surprising considering the conflict represented by the previous Swords cards. VIRGO:

You may be faced with a decision around your work or income streams at the beginning of July according to the Seven of Pentacles. You might worry a little about the changes brought about by any decisions you make, especially if you fear making the wrong decision, but it will really help if you can consider things carefully before deciding on what you should do. Using your past experiences you are likely to be able to know what you can manage with, or without, should your finances change. In addition you should look at what your priorities are now and in the immediate future – if your main priorities can still be achieved within any change, then your decision will be easier to make. Trust in your own abilities and adaptability to make any changes work for you. It will be better for you if any decisions you make are done so with careful consideration from every angle, because, then you’ll be able justify this decision in the future.

The Queen of Swords has appeared to bring the message that critical thinking and logic will help you make the transition through any changes you may be faced with. Her communication skills are superb, she is always alert and ready and she understands what she is faced with because she learns as much about the situation as she can; she uses her skills and knowledge to approach the tasks she is presented with in order to succeed, and she does succeed- she knows that you can do the same.

If, towards the end of the month, you are faced with a challenge, or confrontation, about something the same skills of the Queen of Swords will come in useful once again. The Five of Swords represents a possible challenge, and this card’s message is to consider a couple of things before engaging with it. One is that you don’t have to engage with every challenge you are faced with – sometimes it is best to just walk away and conserve your energy. The second is that even if you think you can overcome this challenge, sometimes it not worth the waste of your time and, more crucially, your energy. If you don’t succumb to this challenge you are likely to end up much better off in so many ways. Taking up the challenge could just deplete your armoury and your energy which could be better used in other ways. So, think first before taking any action.

LIBRA:

The Page of Swords, for the first part of the month ahead, is really about misunderstandings or miscommunication, so the message from this card is to be careful how you present your thoughts or feelings to others. If people don’t really understand what your viewpoint is, or why you feel that way, then they are likely to misinterpret what you are trying to say and this could result in things being passed on to others and blown out of all proportion. Be very clear in what you say and why you feel this way, and this will prevent unnecessary conflict.

The Empress could represent a pregnancy, or actual birth of a baby, during the middle of the month – this may not necessarily be with respect to you, but it could be someone around you who is close. If this is not the case for you then this card could represent a mother/child relationship that needs some attention. There is no doubt that your input will be truly appreciated – however, when dealing with this situation it will be important to remember that being ‘maternal’ (ie nurturing) is very different from ‘matriarchal’ (ie dominant influence). It won’t help to have the attitude ‘it’s my way or the highway’. Take the more nurturing, gentle approach for a successful navigation through this situation.

Judgement, at the beginning of the month, suggests that you could be given the ‘results’ of some sort of assessment over recent times. It may be something that you were aware of, or come as a complete surprise, but Judgement is always a good reminder to us that we are under observation, one way or another, a lot of the time and it is important to be aware of this.

The Seven of Pentacles is a card which suggests that your work, or income, may be subject to change in some way, as you head to the middle of the month. Whilst this might make you worry about the outcome of any decision you have make, with regard to this, it is worth taking the advice of this card which is to consider carefully what you have learned from past experiences (to not make the same mistakes) and to be sure of what your current priorities are, so that any decision you make can, at least, be justified should it need to in the future. Making a decision without consideration to your needs might not be the best idea right now. There is nothing worse than looking back on something and thinking you should have known better.

Interestingly, The High Priestess has appeared to represent the end of July for you. The message from this card is that, although you can’t feel it or see it, a new destiny is unfolding for you in the Universe. You aren’t meant to know what this destiny is because the time is not right, and not everything is aligned properly, just yet. However, The High Priestess wishes you to know that these things will come about soon, and until then, be patient and open to new suggestions. If something grabs your attention do some research into it, this may be a clue or sign of things to come – and trust your intuition at this time too, since your spiritual side is likely to heightened.

SAGITTARIUS:

The Knight of Pentacles could represent a young adult around you who is very good at their work/duties. It may be that they could help you in some way and, more importantly, if they do help they will do it very well since this Knight is hugely successful in everything he does. This card represents working diligently and paying attention to every minute detail of any tasks that are undertaken – and this is the secret of this Knight’s success. So accept this young person’s help if offered. If this is not the case for you then this card is likely to be asking you to emulate the Knight of Pentacles’ approach to tasks if there is something important you need to tackle – to not take shortcuts or overlook the detail, and to ensure this is handled with diligence and care.

The Empress is a card which represents the conception, or birth, of a child. If this is not relevant to you then it could be someone around you that comes with this news. However, The Empress could be highlighting your own mother/child relationships, in which case the main message for you is that the best way to deal with this relationship is with a nurturing (maternal) attitude, rather than a domineering (matriarchal) one. Try to keep your temper in check whilst dealing with others during this time, since The Empress can sometimes decide that ‘her’ way is the only way and this will not help.
