Sobrang swerte natin dahil sa buong taon, hindi nauubos ang iba't ibang uri ng prutas na pwede nating pagpipilian. Mapa supermarket, palengke, talipapa, o kanto man, palaging meron kang makikitang prutas.

At sino nga ba naman ang tatanggi kapag inalok mo ng prutas? Bukod sa masarap kainin ang mga ito, hindi rin matatawaran ang mga benepisyong dulot nito sa atin. Lalo na ngayong tag-init, sobrang sarap pumapak ng mga prutas na makakatas.

Minsan nga, meron tayong mga paboritong prutas na sadyang hanap-hanap. At talaga namang tulo laway tayo pag atin na itong nilalantakan.

Meron din namang kahit ito lang ang ating kakainin, solve na tayo. Effective din ito kapag gusto nating magdyeta. Kahit di magkita ng kanin sa gabi o sa tanghali ay okay lang.

Meron din na pwedeng pampartner sa kanin. Kahit walang ulam basta me mangga, makakaraos na ng isang kainan.

Me mga prutas din tayo na seasonal lang ang labas. Kayat marapat lang na matikman natin ang mga ito bago pa sila mawala ulit at magmahal ang presyo. Meron nga dyan na abot kamay lang natin at hindi na kelangang bilhin pa. Kayat habang me pagkakataon, pumitas na at eenjoy ang sarap na dulot ng mga ito.

May mga panahon na masarap tumambay lalo na pag kasama mo ang iyong mga kaibigan. Lumalalim ang samahan at lalong napagtitibay ang pagkakaibigan.

Ang pagkakaroon ng mga kaibigan ay parte na ng ating buhay at ng ating pagkatao. Gusto natin na meron din tayong mga kaibigan na makakasama from time to time. May mga kaibigan tayong para lang sa kasiyahan at meron din tayong mga kaibigan na halos magkasanggang dikit na ang turingan.

Pero ang mga pagkakataong nagpapatatag ng ating samahan at pagkakaibigan ay nagsisimula sa mga mumunting bagay na katulad nito. Sa unang tingin, ito ay simpleng tambay lang. Pero kung mapapadalas ito na gawin ng magkakaibigan, hahantong na ito sa mas malalim na samahan.

At darating ang panahon na lalo mo itong bibigyan ng importansya dahil ang samahang nabuo ay pinagbigkis na ng panahon at sinubok na ng mga bagyo ng ating buhay. Isang samahan na nagsimula sa isang simpleng pagkakilala, sa mga pagkakataong patambay tambay lang, hanggang sa ito ay magkakaroon na ng malalim na kahulugan.

Kaya't ang mga alaalang katulad nito ay hindi dapat kalimutan dahil ito ay magiging isang matibay na pundasyon ng pagkakaibigang lalalim pa pagdating ng panahon. Ang mga ganitong simpleng pagtambay lang ay magiging isang daan para sa magiging higit pang matibay na ugnayan. At unti-unti ay magkakaroon tayo ng pagpapahalaga at pagkalinga sa isa't isa. Ang lahat ng ito ay pwedeng magkakaroon ng katuparan dahil sa isang simpleng pagtambay lamang.

Game na Game

Sa lakaran, masarap yong meron kang makakasama na game na game, walang kyeme, walang arte. Sya yong tipo na pwedeng magsabing "bring it on."At definitely, tyak patok ang trip nyo. Maswerte ako kasi nakilala ko si Gerard Cawagdan. Nakasama ko sya last week end ng sumama ako sa group nila na gumala sa Zambales. At di ko rin akalain na ganon pala sya ka game.

Sa aming paglalakad sa baybayin ng isla ng Capones sa Zambales, sadyang attracted ako sa bawat hampas ng alon sa mga naglalakihang mga bato sa dalampasigan. Most of the time, mahilig talaga akong mag trip. Pero hindi naman ako ung tipong mag trip ng kahit na ano, nasa tama lang at hindi nakaka-agrabyado ng kapwa. Anyway, ni request ko sa kanya na umupo sa isang malaking bato kung saan humahampas ang alon at since okay lang din sa kanya ang mabasa, sobrang tuwa ko ng pinagbigyan nya ako.

Haha. Sobrang okay sa olright ang experience. Ng makita ko ang nangyari, gusto ko rin sanang subukin kaso lang me hawak akong camera. Sadyang masarap ang experience na humahampas ang alon sa iyo lalo na't tanghaling tapat at mainit. Masasabing mong the best cooling experience ever ang mga ganitong pagkakataon.

At since basa na rin sya at nag-eenjoy, hinanapan ko ulit sya ng isang pwesto. Talagang tyagaan ang pag-antay sa alon lalo na't di pa ganon kalakas ang hangin. Kailangan mo talagang mag-antay para sa inaasam asam na magandang effects ng paghampas ng alon.

Grabe! Sa sobrang ganda ng lugar at effects ng alon, kung ako lang ang masusunod, pwede akong maghapong magkukuha ng picture dito. Iba ang hatid na ligaya ng ganitong klaseng experience at bibihira lang din ako maka-encounter ng ganitong setting. Eto yong tipo ng experience na ma-aadik ka kasi alam mong hindi ito mauulit ng ganon-ganon lang. At malamang sa hindi, sasadyain mo ulit ang place na ito para ma-experience ang hype na dulot ng lugar na ito.

Kita mo nga naman at enjoy ang model ko sa kaka-emote. Nag portray pa pati sya ng pagiging isang survivor sa isla. At talagang mapapa-wow ka ganitong kakaiba at nakaka-elibs na eksena. Sana next time, ako naman. Sino ang gustong sumama? :))

Minsan, meron tayong mga nakikita o na-eencounter na ordinaryo sa ating paningin. Sa ating pang-araw araw na pamumuhay, nakikita natin sila o minsan ay nakakahalubilo pero taken for granted sila kasi di natin nakakikitaan ng importansya. Malay mo, ganon rin pala tayo sa kanila. :)

Pero kung magkakaroon lang sana tayo ng pagkakataon na makilala silang maige (o talagang sasadyain natin), doon natin mapapatunayan na espesyal pala sila. Sabi nga, bawat isa daw sa atin ay merong espesyal na katangian at isang challenge para sa atin na hanapin ito. At kung mahanap natin ito, magiging iba na ang ating pagtingin at pananaw.

Kaya nga't nakakatuwang isipin na merong mga nilalang na marunong mag-appreciate kahit na sabihin mo pang magkaiba sila ng mundo. Sa kanilang mumunting paraan, doon nila naipapakita at naipapadama na meron din silang mga katangian na namumukod tangi. At talagang sobrang mapalad ang mga nilalang na ito na makita at ma-appreciate ito.

Siguro nga tama ang kasabihang wag tayong mag expect ng sobra kasi baka madismaya lang tayo ng todo. Kung ano man ang meron sa atin, iyon ang ipakita natin. At meron naman tayong oportunidad at kapasidad na ito ay pagyamanin. At kung ano man ang meron sa ating mga kakilala, siguro tama na rin na matuto tayong mag-appreciate kahit na meron din silang mga kakulangan katulad natin.

At kung dumating ang panahon na matuto tayong magpahalaga ng ating kapwa at ng mga nasa paligid natin, iyon din siguro ang panahon na magiging extra-ordinary na ang tingin natin sa mundo. Sana nga, para ang lahat ng nakapaligid sa atin ay mabigyan natin ng tama at kaukulang atensyon.

At kahit na dumating man ang panahon na magkakahiwalay man ang ating mga landas, wala tayong mararamdamang pagsisisi. Tama lang na maging malungkot tayo pero wala tayong panghihinayangan kasi naibigay natin ang tamang importansya noong tayo ay merong pagkakataon.

And when you are out there, be yourself and have fun.

Having fun and enjoying the moment makes the day. Besides, we can't have any other reason while we are out there but simply to make the most of those precious time while we are with our good friends.

Some moments were unforgettable for these kids. I was a witness on how ecstatic and pleased they were when they had the golden opportunity to be with someone during that time. You can't simply imagine the happiness they felt. And it was pretty normal.

It was a good thing that I happened to know some of them and that they playfully agreed whenever I requested them.

It was noticeable also those who were comfortable with each others company. They stuck with each other for the whole duration of the trip.

Well, moments like these strengthen the bonding and promote the camaraderie among them. And definitely, it will advantageous on their end as they progress toward their senior year. Keep it up, guys.

From time to time, it is good to be with people who are confident to face the camera. Pictures do turn out good every time you are having fun.

You don't have to be beautiful nor handsome to have a nice pic. Simply relax, find a comfortable position, and be yourself.

And most of all, smile. A smile coming from the heart makes a great picture and it will make other people happy upon seeing your pics with unpretentious smile.

So, let it all out. Don't hold back. Have fun. Share with others the kind of joy you are experiencing that very moment.

Group pictures are a common thing. Picture taking with classmates is one good opportunity to enjoy the trip as well as strengthening your bond with the group. And after some years, it would be a great remembrance of some fun during your early years together.

And when you take pictures of a group, you can always be creative. People are often obedient and submissive in front of the camera because they would like to look good in the photograph. You can always take a couple of steps backward to find a good angle if they tend to be too close to each other or let them spread while taking advantage of a good background.

Some groups do not make a good impression because they failed to move around. If someone is simply contented to sit just like the rest of the group, it is but just "one of those" pic. With pics taken in a hurry, a click or two is enough but the result may not have a good impact.

So, next time when your group will be facing a camera, explore the space and make sure that your presence can be felt. The person taking the picture will be more delighted if he finds it easy to direct the people before making a shot.

It was January 2009 when I was first invited to join an educational field trip. I was very much excited because it would be a good opportunity for me to explore our historical places, to visit these places for free, and most of all, to capture places and people alike in frames.

This year, it will be my second time to visit Cavite and somehow, flashbacks of sites and places are still perfectly clear at the back of my mind. The trip last year had prepared me for some possible good shots but then again, when students are in the frenzy mode, it will be like the first time all over again. Anyway, students will always share their best smiles whenever you point your camera on them.

At times, a good capture comes from an unplanned opportunity. And you will definitely feel proud for framing something which others failed to see.

There are some moments too, that in a matter of seconds, a good shot will never happen again. And you've got to be quick of your moves especially if a stranger is involve.

It is also nice to have posers around who will readily submit themselves for a nice shot. With a simple coaching on how to position themselves properly, you'll have a good result after counting 1-2-3.

Fun Run 2010

Yesterday, UST participated in a fun run event where the participants were mostly our sophomore students. It was a great activity and it would be a new experience on my part if I could have joined but I was joining that day a field trip.

I saw some familiar faces in the crowd and I am proud of them for being supportive and having fun likewise.

I am not really particular with the theme of the event but then again, if this was for a good cause, it would be a good opportunity to show one's support.

Young people should be involved in this noteworthy event where they can echo their voices, show their numbers, dictate change, and embrace freedom.

Good job, guys. I hope that you'll continue to support a cause like this one and will continue to embrace movements especially if it is for the welfare of our people and our country.

Birthday

I celebrated my nth birthday this week and just like before, it simply came to pass. How sad. Hehe. As much as I wanted to leave work and celebrate it, I simply cannot do so because of the nature of my work. It was a working day, another ordinary working day just like the rest of the days.

But it was a special one, nevertheless, because my family never failed to greet me. They always make it a point to never forget my special day, including those little kids at home. And for sure, my mother definitely prepared something to celebrate my birthday even if I am far away from home which she used to do all these years.

For the past few years, I also receive a birthday greeting from a love one. Many thanks to her for never missing my special day and for staying by my side.

Anyway, I treat my colleagues the following day because some of them were not around that day. It was just a simple celebration though it was one of those bonding moments for us. It has been a tradition for some of us to celebrate our special day with our love ones together with the people that are part of our everyday existence. And it does not matter how young or old you are. What matters most is our appreciation because we live this long and is being continually blessed by the good Lord.

Well, I missed my mareng Liezel. She used to prepare some food for me during my birthdays for quite some time and kare-kare which is my all time favorite food was always present. I am looking forward to seeing her again in the coming days.

Well, I have had some surprises from my students. Actually, this is the very first time that students prepared something for my birthday. Honestly, I used to keep mum about my birthday but since some of them knew about it, they were kind enough to make me happy this week.

Many thanks to 3ITB (headed by Joey May Eltanal), 3ISA (Mark Amul, Faura Antonio, and Czarine Cagurangan), and the entire 3ITA.

And my appreciation goes likewise to C&E Publishing for extending their efforts to put a smile on my face and warming my heart of their treat.

The IT students do have their own surprises. One of them is this - a catlike action figure (I am not particular about the anime or cartoon series, pls help).

I really appreciate the efforts of the class in coming up with this action figure and kudos to the one who wore this figure because he was really that serious about his role.
