Hey guys!

It’s been a while since you heard form me. I have had a lot of health problems and recently my dad died, so things have not been easy for me. I’m not sure if I’m “back” fully, as there’s still lots of things going on in my private life. I just wanted to finish and share a simmeh and let you guys know I’m still around ;)

Part 3: Late Night - Kriszta Ballintyne

2012-09-09T17:56:00.000+02:00

Hi guys,

Back with another project ! It's with Jaedub and is part of our Sims 3 EP Project. This time we decided to do Late Night. As you know it's the EP where the Vampires were introduced to the game and it's the main theme for the Late Night project we're doing. In addition to the "Vamps" we also decided to do "glammy vamps" as this is also kind of related to Late Night, with the night life in Bridgeport and the celebrities also being part of the Late Night EP.

For the sim I went kind of "eccentric glammy" :D and based her "style" a bit on the character of Pam from the series True Blood. For the looks I tried to make her look real (classic) Vampire like, with the eyebrows and all.

Please note: Earlier this week EA released a new patch and the EP Supernatural, which also had some consequences for Vampires in general, as the setup for "Supernatural beings" in the game significantly changed. Kriszta is made using the latest patch (!) I decided to save her in 2 versions: Full Vampire (with the fangs, the tattoo, the skin and the glowing eyes) as well as a "Hybrid version" (with the fangs and the tattoo only).

There's a "Full" Vampire version, as well as a "Hybrid" Vampire version available for download.

A Collaboration: Paulette Vaughn

2012-08-29T12:17:00.002+02:00

Hi guys,

Miss L and myself decided on doing another project ! Yes !!! :D The idea of the project is basically the same as we did last time, as we "traded" sims and ending up finishing the sim made by the other.
But this time we decided to choose from a pool of four different themes, however the creator of the sim was unaware of the theme chosen by the other of course, as the sim was created first and then sent to the other who chose the theme.

These are the themes we chose from:
* Japanese Punk / Kawaii
* Working Woman
* Famous Female Heroine
* Sweet and Girly

I chose "Working Woman" and went for the "classical" or stereotypical looks :) This might look easy, but it's harder than you think !! :P
We both were thinking we ended up choosing the same theme for our simmehs, but I had a quick look and we both chose two different and rather contrasting themes, LOL !! Which is good and I like that !! :D

So here's is the before and after result of the sim Miss L sent to me in CAS:

And here's Paulette in the photo shoot in game, showing all outfits:

2012-08-11T12:13:00.001+02:00

Hi guys,

After the project I did with Miss L "switching sims" (and finishing them), we thought it would be fun to also do "our own version" of the original sim before switching :D

This is only for fun and for the pics spam so to speak, as I have no plans to upload this version. You can download Mischa Pyatt (by Miss L and me) HERE of course ! ;)

I had great fun with Mischa doing the photo shoot, as she kind of LOVES the camera !! xD

A Collaboration: Vanity Pauel

2012-08-04T11:04:00.000+02:00

Hi guys,

It's been a while, in a couple of ways. I have had a creative block for about a month or so and I'm still experiencing some of the effects of the block, as inspiration still doesn't come as smoothly as before (or normally). In another way it's been a while as well, as I'm doing another "project" with Miss L !! Yessss !! She's still there and she's back !! (never really left though xD).

We decided to do a variety on a project we've done before, swapping simmehs. For those of you who don't know what "we" are talking about, a small reminder. We both set out to create a sim, choosing a skin, eyebrows and using the CAS sliders then nothing more, except sending over the "half finished" simmeh.

This is the simmeh Miss L sent over to me to finish:

This means we're now in the 2nd part of the challenge, as we start to work and finish the sim the other made. This means we both can do whatever we like when it comes to clothing, accessorizes, hair, colors and makeup, except not messing with the "sim settings" created by the other. To make things interesting for ALL simmers we decided to use only Base Game stuff and ALL CC used had to be FREE (!!).

Here's is the result after hair and makeup in CAS:

And here's the "final" result :D I tried to keep the "Miss L looks and features" of the sim as much as I could, as I didn't want to mess with the natural beauty of the sim.

Part two: Generations - Liz and Shane Draven & Shawna Marks

2012-06-03T18:44:00.000+02:00

Hi guys,

It's time for the 2nd part of the Sims 3 EP project with Jaedub ! The 2nd part of the project is about "Generations". The 1st part "Pets" you can find here.

Again I wanted to do something special, so I started out making a teen, which was something I've never done before. When I finished Shawna, I ran into a bit of a problem, cause at first I wanted to create a mum for her, but her mum would probably be looking a bit to young, compared to Shawna. I came up with an idea to solve this AND would also add to the whole Generations theme. I made Shawna a babysitter, as I wanted to do a toddler too and I would have less of a problem making a mum for the toddler :D
Furthermore I came up with the idea of doing some breeding ! LOL xD

Breeding ? Yes, "creating" a new sim (mum). But who would be the parents of the mum ? I found some great candidates in my game ! Eric Draven (By Miss Lochness, here) and his spouse Tyler Emberton (By me, here). Eric and Tyler had a daughter Liz Draven, who became this gorgeous looking girl and my "mum" in this project.

Liz Draven now became friends with Ramone Lopez (By CeCesaun, here). Liz and her boyfriend Ramone got "real friendly" at some point and the result was the birth of Shane ! :))

So now I was ready, as I had my family I wanted for the project. Liz Draven and her little son Shane Draven and Shawna Marks as the babysitter. Perfect for the Generations project I would say :D I haven't altered anything to both Liz and Shane, the only thing I did, is dress them up for the Generations project.

In addition to this Generations project, Jaedub and me added a little something special. We both made our simmehs of course for this project. We decided to send all of our simmehs for this project on a camping trip !! Camping is such a great thing to do and really adds to the "family feel", which is something Generations is all about ! Jaedub shot these great camping pics below. I think they turned out brilliant !

I really hope you enjoy our Generations project, as I really had SOOOOO much fun doing this !!
Have fun too !!! ;)

Part one: Pets - Valeri & Lady * with Jaedub

2012-04-22T17:48:00.000+02:00

Hi guys,

It's finally here, a new project Jaedub and me have been planning for months !! Yayy !! :) Our new project is about the Sims 3 and the Sims 3 Extension packs (EP's). We're planning to make simmehs around / related to / themed to all the EP's and maybe add a little something special to the sim :D

We've decide to start of with the EP "Pets". So the first sim of ours is related to Pets. We decided to add a pet (free of choice) to the sim, which is kind of special for the both of us, as we both never really made a pet before and shared it. In addition we decided to use as much EA Pets clothing as possible and if not (available) other EA clothing. All other stuff like skin, hair, make up, accessories and stuff were free of choice.

Since we wanted to add a pet to our sim, I wanted to do something special. My own pet (cat) is called "Lady", so I decided to name the sim pet Lady as well, but I didn't want to make a cat. Than I thought of the Disney movie "Lady and the Tramp", which I loved ever since I was a little kid (LOL) and decided to make a spaniel a bit similar to the Lady spaniel in the Disney movie xD

Anyways, I had loads of fun with the first part of our new project and lots more coming up with this new project ! Enjoy !! :))

Updates - 3D eyelashes and "Tattoo simmeh"

2012-03-27T16:18:00.001+02:00

Hey guys,

Just some updates, I've been working on of late :)
First of all (and I've been waiting for these for a LONG time) the 3D eyelashes. Yep, 3D eyelashes (upper AND lower !). These 3D eyelashes can be found at S-Club Privée and are part of a 3D eyelash project (here). It consists of several items you NEED for these eyelashes to work and several items are optional as well. You can find all the necessary info on the page I've linked here above.
For your information, I've downloaded and installed all items in relation to the 3D eyelashes (at the moment). Here are some pics of the first "testing" I did:

I've also been working on my "Tattoo simmeh", with less success I'm afraid :( I'm still not sure what's going on but when I try to finish her, she turns "charcoal" in CAS as well as in game OR causes my game to crash. I haven't be able to figure out what's causing this yet, but as you can imagine I'm not happy with it !! I also even thought I had lost the (original WIP) sim as I saved and overwrote it and had to delete the updated sim, as it caused my game to crash EVERY time. Fortunately I had the WIP-sim version in game as a household, so I was able to recover her to CAS. I removed ALL the tattoos and made some other changes to her and saved her. The "Tattoo less version" isn't causing any problems in game, so somehow it's tattoo related, which wasn't before of course. It may be some "script error" which is causing all the troubles I'm having with her.
So for now I'm not able to finish and share her with you, as I won't share a sim which is causing errors or making a game crash. If I'm unable to finish her with the tattoos, I might finish her and share her without any tattoos, but I'm not sure about that, as the whole idea behind the sim was the tattoos.
Anyways, I keep you guys updated on this !!
I still hope I can solve the problem !

Preparing for my "comeback"

2012-03-10T18:07:00.000+01:00

Hi guys,

It's been a while since my last activity in the sims community, but I'm preparing for my "comeback". I have had some problems, but most of them seem to be solved or are better now.
The main thing is, things are better now and I'm feeling better myself as well.
I've missed you guys very much, I hope to be back fully in the next couple of days. First thing coming up will be my Cstyles Exclusive. After that I will finish some "unfinished" sims, like the one with the tattoos (see previous post).
For now I'll leave you with a "teaser" (another unfinished sim :P)

Round 7: Quinevere Soil

2011-12-29T09:38:00.001+01:00

Hi guys,

It's round seven in the competition I'm having with Miss L !! It's been a while since the sixth round, but we didn't forget ;) This project is about the "Elements", first we did a water and a fire simmeh and now it's time for part two with an air and an earth simmeh ! :)

Miss L has made an air simmeh and I have been working on an earth simmeh. When starting this assignment I was thinking how to tackle this Element "Earth", as obviously it's quite a challenge to make a sim with "earth" in mind. I was thinking of Mother Earth, also some sort of Earth Goddess, on the other hand an Earth Super Hero maybe, or Elf like, or possibly even Amazon like. I think I ended up making a mix of all the ideas I came up with, LOL xD

Anyways, enough of the ramblings it's time for the pics and the "Earth simmeh", have fun !! :D

I wish everyone a wonderful and healthy 2012 !!
