Sephora Deluxe Fragrance Sampler for Her Review ❤

HELLO WINTER BREAK!! No school for 3 weeks (: SORRY EVERYONE! I know I said I would review the L'Oreal Project Runway blushes but since the stores stopped selling them... I thought why do a review since it wouldn't help much... SORRY!! ><

I decided to do a review on the Sephora Deluxe Fragrance Sampler for Her because I thought it would make a GREAT Christmas present for girls. I know fragrances are something that you can't just randomly pick and like... fragrances are personal!! So it is very hard to buy someone a fragrance because it is not certain that they will like it. Something like this would definitely help someone pick a fragrance they like for themselves!

I purchased this on Sephora.com for originally $50 but I had the $15 off coupon for Beauty Insiders so it was $38 including tax & shipping was free because it is a purchase over $50 before coupons and such.

The box looks really pretty so it is definitely good to give as a gift. My boyfriend saw this and said "it looks expensive"!

This is the sleeve it comes in, so if you purchase this at the Sephora store, it looks like this. The first picture is after I took this sleeve off.

I already wanted Marc Jacob Daisy before I discovered this sampler but it was hard for me to shell out $62 for a bottle of perfume, so when I had the $15 off and saw this sampler, I had to purchase it because it is like paying $38 for a $62 item (:

In the end, this is a great present to give to someone else if they are not sure which fragrance to pick, or a gift to yourself if you are not sure! & After you pick your favorite perfume, you can give the other samples you don't like to your friends who like that scent! I like to keep these samples in my makeup bag because even though the atomizer is small... it's not THAT small so the samples are very handy.

PS. Did you know you can ask for fragrance samples are Sephora?? I just discovered this last week. Just give the perfume you would like a sample of to a Sephora Beauty Associate and they will help make you a small atomizer of the scent you would like to try out. It's incredibly convenient because perfume is expensive! You definitely want to make sure you like the perfume you purchase or else you will either waste the perfume & leave it sitting on your counter, or if you return the perfume to the store, the store will just throw away the full perfume bottle after refunding you.

I am so sorry I have not been updating my blog recently! I transferred universities and the new university that I am attending is so rigorous! o___o I have not had enough time to review makeup ): I really miss my blog!! Thank you everyone who commented on my blog wondering where I was >< I feel so special that people actually remembered me!! (; I will not be doing a review today but I will just tell you about my latest obsessions in terms of makeup! I've been obsessed with getting the (semi) New Limited Edition L'Oreal Project Runway Collection of blushes. Last last week I seriously HAD to get all of them because I heard really good reviews on all of them. So I went with my boyfriend to Ulta but of course they were sold out... so called up every single drug store near me to ask if they were in stock and none of them were... So it was about 12 oclock midnight and I find a Walgreens 15 miles away that has 2 of the blushes in stock so my boyfriend drove me to Walgreens to get the 2 blushes...

I know I'm obsessed (: But I'm so glad I got them... I got the Sultry Raven's Blush & Charming Cockatoo & I'm loving both of them! Sultry Raven is the perfect dolly pink and Charming Cockatoo is a more bolder pink. I have ordered the other two (Watchful Owl and Audacious Amazon) on Walgreens.com so they will be arriving soon! But if any of you have the chance, definitely try them because they are so pigmented and smooth! & they come with .35 ounces of product! Which is a pretty good amount. NYX powder blushes have .18 ounces so the L'Oreal blushes are about double the NYX blushes!

Wet n Wild Mega Eyes Creme Eyeliner in Black Review ❤

I'm so sorry for being MIA for almost a month! I am currently taking summer school and I thought it was going to be an easy breezy summer, but BOY was I wrong! I had a 10 page stock portfolio due, a presentation, and 3 finals in a span of 2 weeks... heh..heh.. but thank goodness that's over and now I'm onto my second session of summer school and I only have one class to worry about (:

I will be doing a review on the Wet n Wild Creme eyeliner that fellow blogger thisisalx requested (: I purchased this eyeliner from Rite Aid for $3.99. I have heard great reviews on it before and I was always on the lookout for this eyeliner but I could never find it because it was always sold out! But the day I saw this eyeliner, it was the last one so I had to buy it! & it was cheap and non-glittery (unlike my Physician's Formula black gel eyeliner).

Wet n Wild has a place in my heart because one of my first makeup products was a Wet n Wild pencil eyeliner that was pretty bad... but I still thought it was really cool because it was makeup XD but I really liked their cheap nail polishes though (:

As a packaging freak, I always have to comment on packaging hahaha~ The Wet n Wild packaging is really simple but does not look good at all! ):

It's plastic and feels cheap, but that doesn't necessarily mean the product is bad though (:

But it's interesting that the distributor of this eyeliner is located like... really close to me in City of Industry haha~ I should go visit their company :D

There is .13 oz of product~ & because the container is made of plastic, many people have had the problem of their eyeliner drying really fast ): But as long as you screw the top back on securely, it should last you a reasonable amount of time~

The color is really black! This eyeliner has been called a dupe for MAC's Fluidline in Blacktrack, but I haven't tried MAC's liner so I can't really compare ><

The brush that comes with the package is kind of bad ):

It's stiff and too thick for me~ So I use my ELF Small Smudge Brush which I think is perfect for eyeliner~

The eyeliner goes on really smoothly and it's a really pigmented black!

The eyeliner is pretty waterproof, but it's not completely waterproof~

& it smudges a little when it is rubbed~ but when it's not touched, it doesn't smudge at all (:

Make sure to fill in your lash-line! With a bold color like black, the gap is really apparent!

Conclusion

I really like it! (:

Even though the packaging might look a little boring, but if the product is good, the packaging can look like a piece of poop and I'll use it~ hahaha~ The eyeliner is pigmented and you do not have to tug on your eyelid in order for the eyeliner to glide on your eyelid. In addition, the liner stays all day and it does not "imprint" onto the bottom of your eye unless you sweated like crazy that day~ (:

Pros:

Cheap

Long Lasting

Super Pigmented

Smooth

Cons:
Plastic Container (product dries easily)

Hard to find because it is so popular

I went to watch the Harry Potter Premiere and Captain America recently!! I can't believe Harry Potter is over... it feels like my childhood just ended T__T even though it probably ended when I turned 16 hahaha~ but still! & CAPTAIN AMERICA IS SO HOT... sorry I just had to say it (: My boyfriend even thinks so too... LOLL! & right before we went to watch Captain America, we got frozen yogurt from Yogurtland and they are having a collaboration with Sanrio/Hello Kitty!! So I HAD to go! Because I missed the Yogurtland x TokiDoki collaboration so I had to go to the Hello Kitty collaboration (: & I love Hello Kitty ❤ but anyways~ I took some crappy pictures of the yogurt cups and adorable spoons (: Sorry, it was nighttime and we had to rush to the Captain America movie so I couldn't take better pictures ):

The cups are SOOO adorable! There's only 1 design for the cup, I just took front/back pictures~ haha

I really want to keep the cup but that's kind of weird.. cause it's made of paper LOL!

But I kept the spoons (: Hello Kitty and Chococat!!

There are 2 more spoons (Keroppi & My Melody) but they are coming out later~

NYX Matte Lipstick in Tea Rose Review + Swatch ❤

I hope those living in the US had a great 4th of July & played with or saw fireworks! (: & I hope those living internationally had a great weekend! My family and I went on a tour of Santa Barbara and San Luis Obispo this weekend and the weather is so much nicer in the beach area than the inland area~ It's like 100 degrees over here right now... but it was a nice 70-ish degrees at Santa Barbara (:

Today, I will be doing a review on the new NYX Matte Lipstick in the shade "Tea Rose" (: Although the name "Tea Rose" is synonymous with the popular shade of "Tea Rose" of the NYX Round Case Lipstick, the colors are slightly different~ So don't buy this lipstick thinking that it is a matte version of the Round Case Lipstick version! ^^

Onto the product! (:

The packaging of this lipstick is a matte black tube, which represents the matte-ness of this lipstick :D
Smart packaging~ hahaha

I am a packaging freak, so I definitely notice packaging first when I see makeup (:

To me, the lipstick has pretty simple packaging~ but it still looks good

The price of this product is $6.00 for .16 oz~

Ingredients~

The main ingredient is bees wax! That is moisturizing to your lips (:

The NYX Round Case lipstick is definitely lighter than the Matte lipstick~

& the Matte lipstick is a little more red~

The Matte Lipstick definitely has thinner application than the Round Case lipsticks so it feels lighter & less oily on my lips~ (:

& this lipstick definitely lives up to its "Matte" name because it looked extremely matte compared to other lipsticks~ & I thought Round Case Lipsticks were already matte o___o

The overall look of the lipstick is a pretty muted toned down color which I like! (:

I don't really like to wear bold colors~ ><

Overall

This lipstick & shade applies really smoothly on my lips (because it applies thinly) and doesn't accentuate the dead skin on my lips if I have any~ (lol ew.. but believe me, some other lipsticks accentuate my dead skin on my lips and it's scary o___o) For $6.00, this lipstick is a good buy, but I was able to purchase this lipstick for half off because I had a 50% off coupon as a compensation for NYX's fail sale where I was on their website for like 12 hours trying to order makeup for really cheap (but that's a story for another day~ ^^;;)

NOTE:

I notice that the swatches on the NYX website (nyxcosmetics.com) is extremely off because the swatches are actually darker than the product itself. So if you are looking at swatches, imagine the color to be around 2 shades lighter than it actually is. Or if you have any product such as lipstick or lip gloss from NYX already, you can compare the product with the swatch on the website and adjust the swatches in your head accordingly (:

7 things about me:

1. I don't like seafood!
I know it's kind of weird cause seafood is supposed to be so delicious, but I think seafood tastes like the ocean... (duhh haha but it just tastes bad ): ) & one time when I was 10, I was at an Asian supermarket and my mom picked a live fish for dinner & I saw the fish butcher take the fish out alive and whack it with a rubber mallet until it stopped flopping around o__o so that kind of traumatized me...

2. I don't like sweet things very much!
hahaha I know that's weird for a girl, but I'd rather eat a bag of chips than a box of chocolates~ haha so I tell my boyfriend to never buy me chocolate/candy, unless it's a select few that I like like Ghiradelli Peppermint Bark (which is only available during Christmas T__T)

3. I cut my own bangs and have only cut my hair in a salon twice in my life.
The first time I went, I got layers because it recently became popular at that time, so my mom told me I should get it! Then the person who cut my hair cut my hair too short so my hair looked horrible.. I never wanted to go to a salon to cut my hair again x___x until I went to China and permanently straightened my hair, they trimmed it for me (for only $30 US dollars o___o partly cause my mom bargained with them...) (: That was a good experience~

4. I am extremely manly.
HEHEHE~ You wouldn't expect it but I like to play computer games (LEFT 4 DEAD!! <3) and I am very messy... I grew up with my brother who is only 2 years older than me so I pretty much grew up hanging out with guys and playing N64 and Gamecube with them.

5. I only have 1 dimple.

Since I was little, my mom always told me that I got my dimple from falling off my stroller and stabbing my cheek with the handlebar and I always believed her. I even told all my friends and classmates that that is what actually happened. Now, I don't know what is true anymore because I notice that my dad only has 1 dimple too XD

6. I love coupons & I get excited when there is a coupon for something that I want to buy.

Coupons seem to have a bad connotation because it makes people look "cheap" but I think in this economy, coupons thankfully have become more acceptable. My mom has taught me how to use coupons & when I was little, I used to be a bit ashamed that my mom would use around 10-20 coupons every time we would buy groceries, but when I see the receipt, we are able to buy around 50 dollars worth of groceries for about 10 dollars, so I was pretty happy. Now, I definitely use less coupons than my mom did, but I like to use them on different things, such as online purchases, restaurants & drugstore makeup~

7. I dislike lukewarm food/drinks.
When I cook a soup, I have to drink it immediately when it is burning hot & when it cools down, I boil it again to let it become hot again~ LOL! I am picky about temperatures of food for some reason...

1. Hello Kitty Perfume ❤

I have a really sensitive nose and many smells just end up giving me a headache, but this perfume smells sooooo good... I can't stop smelling it. It smells light and florally, but not too strong like many other perfumes~ Plus, I like that this is a rollerball because I don't like spraying perfume on myself ): Because it just makes me feel all wet & soggy x__x the full size version of this perfume is so cute though! I just might have to buy it....

2. Burt's Bees Beeswax Lip Balm ❤

I can't get enough of this lip balm... it's the only one I will use on a regular basis (: I love how it's minty feeling so if my lips are all chapped and cracked, it doesn't sting when I apply it~ I have 3 of these... in my backpack, purse and makeup bag (: & I almost finished one!!! & I never finish my lip balms because I always end up losing them before I finish them...

3. NYX Black Label Lipstick in Heiress ❤

I love the color of this lipstick~ I use it almost every time I go out!! & I love how it's so moisturizing compared to other lipsticks~ I think it is definitely worth the extra money compared to the NYX Round Lipsticks (not that the Round ones are bad, but the Black Label one feels & tastes better too) The NYX Round lipsticks taste like soap, but this Black Label tastes/smells like grape (:

4. Josie Maran My Favorite Argan Powders Palette

I LOVE this palette, as mentioned in my previous post (: The colors are so versatile & they last SO long!!

5. Japonesque Eyelash Curler ❤

I really love this curler!! It makes my lashes stand out so much!! & it's so compact and handy that I can just stick it in my makeup bag without it taking up a lot of space like the scissor type curlers~ (:

6. Japanese Candies/Snacks ❤

I LOVE Japanese candy!! The packaging is so cute & they aren't as sweet as other candies~ & I don't really like sweet stuff, but I can't help but love Japanese candy (:

7. Passion Fruit Green Tea ❤

I can't get enough of this tea!! Almost every time I go to a bubble tea place, I always order something related to Passion Fruit, or milk tea, but on hot days, I LOVE Passion Fruit green tea ❤ It's just so refreshing and delicious!! I love the bottled version that I buy at 99 Ranch too! It was 2/$1.50 so I bought like... 10 HEHEHEHE~

8. My Hamster ❤

HI HAMI!!~ ❤ Is what you would probably hear every hour if you live with me... I just love my hamster so much, he's just the cutest freaking thing in the world!!!! He is my Hami baby & even though he may be a little chunky because my mom loves to feed him sunflower seeds... I still think he is perfect ❤

(1) When you were a child, did you use your mother's lipsticks?

I remember that my mom used to apply her red lipstick on me when I would visit relatives in China~ Back then, I used to be extremely pale so many people though I looked like a china doll with my red lipstick on so my mom liked to apply it on me, although I did not like the feeling of lipstick at all when I was little. But now, I am learning to like lipstick because they don't aren't the same as they used to be (:

(2) How old were you when you bought your first lipstick?

I actually bought my first lipstick when I was 19 & it is the Rimmel one on the far right of the first picture & the very bottom right of the second picture. I had a $2 off Rimmel coupon & I used it at Wal-mart so the lipstick was like 2 dollars ^^ haha~ i don't really like the color though.. it's a little too bright for my lips ><

(3) Pink or red lipstick?

I would definitely have to say pink (:
Although red does look good, it is a little too bold for my taste and I am a very low-key person~ ahaha~

(4) The most expensive lipstick you have ever bought?

The NYX Black Label lipsticks~ hahaha~ Even though I bought it 50% off..
I really want to try the YSL Rouge Volupt someday though.. that will be on my buying list for when I get a job (:

(5) And the cheapest?

Probably the NYX Round Lipsticks or the Rimmel Lipstick~

(6) What's the most bizarre thing you have ever done with a lipstick?

haha.. not much actually!! I don't like to waste makeup so I don't really do bizarre things with it like write on the mirror or something >< Maybe I will do that when my lipstick expires (:

(7) If you had to recommend a lipstick, which brand would you recommend and why?

Definitely the NYX Black Label Lipstick! If you find it on sale like on Cherry Culture, it can be pretty cheap! & there are a lot of colors & it smells so delicious *__* I love grape candy & it smells exactly like that... plus it's moisturizing (:

Sorry I have been MIA this past week! >< but I have still been on Blogger replying to your comments and surfing your blogs though (: I just didn't have time to do a review! School just ended for me last week so I took a week off to hang out with friends and go out with my boyfriend~ (: Now that I had a week off, summer school starts for me today! ): But that means time to do a review!~ ^^

I will do a review on something that I recently purchased & LOVE! Josie Maran recently had a sale on their My Favorite Argan Powders Palette which was originally $45 but they were having a sale and the palette was $20, because they are unfortunately discontinuing it! WHYYY??? If any of you read/watch Jen or frmheadtotoe on Blogspot or YouTube, you probably heard of how much she loves her Josie Maran My Favorite Argan Powders Palette. I saw how pretty & versatile the colors were and her review/swatches totally made me fall in love with the palette. Unfortunately, it was $45 at the time, so I could not afford to buy it, but once it was $20 on sale, I just HAD to jump on the occasion. I purchased 3 palettes total, 2 My Favorite Argan Palettes and 1 Wildflower Palette. The palettes are both available right now on their site in the "Good Buy's" section!

On to the review! (:

This palette is pretty small, about the size of a compact digital camera~

The case is a beautiful metallic pink and it is made of CORN!!

Josie Maran believes in using natural materials in their makeup and packaging to reduce waste, be natural and be beautiful at the same time (:

The colors are so gorgeous, I love each and every color~

but the blush on the right is what made me want this palette the most (:

These swatches are from top to bottom~

So the first 5 colors are the eyeshadows~

The eyeshadows are so buttery and smooth~ It doesn't crease on my super oily lids either if I use it with my ELF primer! (:

The 3 colors that is comes with are "Taupe" for a "Natural" look, "Pink" for a "Playful" look and "Black+Pink Shimmer" for a "Dramatic" look~ & it comes with a mini eyeliner brush~
In reality, the "Pink" is actually purple! & The "Black+Pink Shimmer" is a glitter bomb of pink glitter in black eyeliner! O:
The packaging is pretty normal packaging, it tells you that the product is "24 hour wear" but I will tell you if it really is 24 hour wear! (:

Ingredients in case someone is allergic to anything~ ^^

The black is extremely creamy and glides on your eyelid~

BUT the thing I don't like... is the massive amount of glitter!! I was not expecting this at all! ):

I wanted a solid black eyeliner, but when the packaging said "pink shimmer" I thought..okay, maybe a tiny amount would be okay, but this is too much~

A lot of glitter, and it irritates my eyes sometimes when they sometimes fall in my eye D:

The "pink" but actually purple color is a purple with tiny glitter particles~

The texture is smooth and creamy, but the purple is not very opaque~

It needs about 3-4 coats to be opaque~
This color is not my favorite :/

The "taupe" color is actually my favorite! (: There is no glitter, only a metallic look to it when you put it on!~ The color is really pretty~

I like how these are stackable and separate-able (:

You can unstack it and just bring the color you like~

The brush that comes with the eyeliner is not bad at all!~ Although it is not exactly as thin as my normal gel eyeliner brush, it works pretty well for an on-the-go brush~ It even comes with a protector cover (:

My life-saver when applying eyeliner!~ If I feel lazy, I just swipe eyeliner all over the place on my eyelid and then take a pointed cotton swab to make it neat (:

I applied the eyeliner and let it dry for about 20 minutes and then rubbed it vigorously! As if someone were rubbing their eye~

This is the end result~ Not bad huh?~

Then a applied water on it and rubbed vigorously again and this is the result!~ As if someone were crying and rubbing their eyes~

Still not bad! But I don't suggest you rub your eye if you cry and have eyeliner or mascara on because you will end up with raccoon eyes~ ><

In the end, I am still happy with my purchase because it only cost like 3 dollars after all the coupons I used at Ulta, but if it were the original price, $10.95, I would not think it was worth it ):

Congratulations (: This weekend, I went with my boyfriend to Ulta to take advantage of their Buy 2 Get 1 Free sale~ yayyy~ I purchased some NYX and Physician's Formula products~

I bought these on separate occasions and used the Ulta $5 off $10 purchase both times~ & when I was buying the Physician's Formula stuff, I used two $5 off Physician's Formula products coupons & the bronzer had a $4 off instantly coupon on it, so I paid about $8 for 3 Physician's Formula products and $5 for 3 NYX products~ ^^ What a great deal!!

I will definitely review these items soon!! Sorryyyyy I have this 15 page marketing plan due next week o___o & I heard that in a class of 300 students... only 1% can get an A... which means only 3 students!! Wahhhhh~ >< Must try hard!!

E.L.F eyeslipsface Review & Swatches - Pic Heavy ❤

First of all, I would like to thank all of my new & loyal followers!~ ^^ I never expected to have 60 followers in only 1+ month of blogging~ T___T You guys are theee best!~ ^^ Seeing all of your comments brighten my day~ (: Sorry I haven't done a review in more than a week! O: I was so busy with midterms and projects I felt so swamped!~ But now I'm free so I will do a huge review on all of my E.L.F products, new and old~

I recently purchased new brushes from E.L.F because I felt that I needed some new brushes for my continuously growing collection of makeup~ hahaha~ Anyways~ Back to my review! ^^

As many people know, E.L.F makeup and makeup tools are priced extremely well~ With most of their regular items being $1, their Studio items being $3, and their sets, palettes and kits priced reasonably as well, E.L.F is highly recommended for their cheap prices~ Although most of their items are indeed cheap, one must do some research before spending money on anything, even if it only costs $1-$3~ Money is money! ^^

I purchased most of these items on eyeslipsface.com, but I also purchased some at Target.

First, their packaging for the brushes~ The packaging is no frills, simple packaging. Each package contains a brush and a plastic/rubbery sleeve to protect the brushes~

(Don't mind the random Lip Conditioner down there~ XD)

ELF Studio Powder Brush - $3

From their website:

"This new anti bacterial, synthetic haired Taklon brush is softer and more absorbent and can be used with wet or dry products. Be a professional makeup artist and create a flawless look with this e.l.f. studio brush!"

I ordered this brush from eyeslipsface.com and it was a little smooshed when I opened it, but I washed this brushes right when I took this out of the package and it fluffed right up!~ ^^ The handle has weight to it and it is made of plastic, instead of wood, which the ELF Essential Makeup brushes are made of. I really like the black matte finish of the handle~ All of these brushes had ABSOLUTELY NO SHEDDING!!~ ❤❤❤
Although others might have some, these do not shed compared to the ELF Essentials line bushes.

Very fluffy and soft~

It is not completely flat but it is still pretty flat!~ ^^ haha~

This brush is pretty packed with bristles~ It takes the longest to dry out of all the brushes~ XD

Conclusion:

I really like this brush! For only $3 it's not only SUPER soft, but it's very packed with bristles so you can pick up as much product you want (or as little, if you tap it). You can use this brush to buff in your face powder for a smooth look or to apply blush to your cheeks! Some people also like to use this brush as a liquid foundation brush, but I like use my fingers when using BB Cream~ (:

ELF Studio Stipple Brush - $3

Stippling Brushes have become somewhat popular recently!~ Or maybe it was just popular in my head because I wanted one.... hmmmm... but as you can see, the tip is pink because I use this for blush~ ^^

Duo Fibers~

I read reviews of this online and everyone said that this brush was not packed like other stipple brushes~ & that was the exact reason why I wanted this brush! I purchased this brush to use on pigmented blushes so I don't accidentally apply too much color~ ><

Conclusion:

I like this brush too!~ ^^ I actually think all the studio brushes I have are extremely well made for how much they cost~ They are soft and easy on the skin~ The white bristles are extremely soft and the black ones are a little stiffer~

For the ELF Studio Stippling Brush, if you are looking for a stippling brush to stipple liquid foundation for an airbrush finish, do not get this brush because you will be stippling forever!~ Instead, get this brush for blush or maybe a light light dusting of face powder~ ^^

ELF Studio Blush Brush - $3

I purchased this brush for applying blush and bronzer~ ^^ Because this blush has a contoured edge, it's also good for contouring cheekbones~

Slight contoured brush~

This brush is somewhat loosely packed so it is perfect for applying blush/bronzer~ & face powder too actually!

Conclusion:

haha~ As I stated before, I actually love all of these brushes! It's such a good deal for a nice brush~ ^^ Although I can't really compare them to MAC and Sigma because I don't have any other brushes, I think these brushes are great as starter brushes for someone~ or great for someone looking to save money but still get great brushes~ (:

ELF Studio Lip Conditioner w/ SPF 15- Peaceful Pink

From the eyeslipsface website:

"With the e.l.f. Conditioning Lip Balm, lips get treated to a sheer splash of color that’s super smooth, velvety soft and non-sticky. Not only are these sheer, natural shades beautiful, they’re also beneficial, with natural ingredients that condition dry, chapped lips including Vitamins A & E. SPF 15 to protect delicate lips against harmful sun damage."

This container is GIGANTIC!! Well... for a lip gloss/balm anyways~ I'll show you a comparison with a chapstick later on~ ^^

The texture is pretty emollient~ It glides onto your lips really easily~

Peaceful Pink is like a light baby pink on your lips~

I swatched this on a piece of paper to show you what color it really is~ ^^

Compared to a Burt's Bees Lip Balm~ It's almost as long/wide as the Burt's Bees o___o

It really takes up alot of space in your makeup bag ):

One thing I like about this container is that you can pop out the lip gloss jar~ So after you use up the lip gloss, you can put other stuff in here! Like some extra powder or face cream you want to bring somewhere else but don't want to bring the whole container (:

Almost as tall as a Burt's Bees Lip Balm too O:

Conclusion: I really like this lip balm!~ It protects your lips against sun damage and it makes your lips look nice and smooth~ There is an artificial coconut-ty smell to this lip balm so if you do not like coconut smells, this lip balm may not be for you~ It tastes sweet if you lick it though~ haha~ In terms of lasting power, this does not last very long because it seems to like to travel to the outside of my lips (if anyone knows what I am talking about XD) But if you reapply this, it should be okay~ This lip balm is also really pigmented!

ELF Essentials Brightening Eye Color - $1

The packaging feels very cheap and it looks kind of ugly... ahaha~ but you get what you pay for! ^^

I actually only purchased the Drama quad and I received the left quad as a gift for inputting 4 email addresses to introduce people to ELF products when I checked out and purchased my stuff on eyeslipsface.

For the Nouveau Neutrals, the last color on the right would just barely show up on my hand! Maybe it's the same color as the back of my hand?~ XD The texture of the second and third color were extremely soft and velvety, it just glided onto my skin~ The other two were a bit more scratchy and chalky~ And the 1st, 3rd and 4th color all have specks of glitter in them, which I despise because it makes the makeup look tacky D:

But the 2nd eyeshadow is the best out of the 4, it's extremely velvety and it's shimmery, but not too shimmery! It's like a nice shimmery forest green~

Swatches of Drama~ The white and black were extremely pigmented~ It is somewhat hard to wash off the black eyeshadow even with soap and water~ O: The white is a matte white, the dark gray is a shimmery dark grey with glitter specks, the black is also a shimmery black with glitter specks, and the last gray is also a gray with glitter specks (ughhh)~ The white has the softest texture out of all the shadows, probably because it does not have a billion specks of glitter in it like the other ones do~

Conclusion:

These quads were neither a like or dislike~ I liked some of the colors in each quad, but the glitter kind of deters me from wearing these shadows~ I've only used the black and white so far~ But I am hoping to be able to use a bit more~ Maybe I can find some way to get rid of the glitter specks after I apply it on... hmmmm~ haha~ But these quads would be good for someone who just likes to try out a lot of colors~ There are in total 18 different quads you can purchase on eyeslipsface~

ELF Studio Eyeliner & Shadow Stick in Pearl/Glow - $3

I purchased this liner/shadow at Target, but you can also purchase this on their website~

This pearl side is ok for lining the waterline~

I just really disliked the shadow side because it was so waxy..

The pearl side glided on so well~ And the shadow side left behind this little waxy residue~ It was very bad...

Conclusion:

This product was a complete miss. I would say only 1 side is good for this pen, but even then, the pearl side wipes off SO easily, it will not last on your waterline if your eyes water a lot~ If only this lasted longer...

Both of these were a miss for me ): Although the primer is pretty good in the beginning (makes colors pop and last), because I have very oily lids, the primer tends to settle into the little crease where my double eyelid is. So at the end of the day, I will have a little line of primer where that crease it.

For the concealer, I purchased this for my undereye circles, but it does not work at all for them. Although I now I know it is called "Tone Correcting" concealer for a reason. It only corrects reds or small light patches of discoloration~ Not my severe dark circles... This concealer also smells a little like oranges.

As you can see, I also purchased the ELF zit zapper, but I believe it is just okay in zapping your zits~
But it does contain Salicylic Acid, Tea Tree Oil, Witch Hazel and Camphor, which aids in reducing inflammation and redness, but I would not use it for emergency pimple zapping~ Maybe something stronger will do~ ^^

I held a poll this week and Missha M Perfect Cover BB Cream #23 received the most votes! But, I've decided to review the Missha M Perfect Cover & Skin79 Hot Pink BB Cream because these two seem to be the most popular BB creams on the market~ & when I was choosing between buying these two, I had a hard time picking because there were different good/bad things about both of them! I hope I can help someone out by comparing/contrasting these two BB creams~ ^^

In this review, I will be going over; Color, Texture, Smell, Pore Coverage & Oiliness of the two BB creams.

Round 1: Color/Texture/Smell

Color: As you can see, the Skin79 is lighter than the Missha #23 & both of them have some sort of a gray cast when I first apply it on my face because I have pink undertones~ After about 30 minutes, both BB creams adjust to my skin color (NC:25-30). Missha also comes in #13, #21 & #31 color, (the smaller the number, the lighter the color, while unfortunately, Skin79 only comes in 1 color~

Texture: Missha is definitely heavier than Skin79. Skin79 is lighter on my face and it spreads more easily, which means lighter coverage. & Missha spreads more heavily, which means heavier coverage.

Smell: Missha has some sort of a baby lotion smell?~ It is definitely stronger than Skin79 because once I wore the Missha BB Cream when going out with Tiffo, she said she could smell it on me x__x Skin 79's smell is very light and I can barely smell it when I apply it on.

Skin79 gives my pores a medium coverage~ You can't really see the dark pores anymore but if you look up close, you can still see your pores~ Skin79 evens out your texture though~

Pores? What pores?~ hahaha... Missha definitely covers my pores better~ It evens out the skin and covers each and every pore!

Round 3: Overall Coverage

okay.. here's my naked face again... no face cream, no foundation, no concealer~ NAKED!~ I bet you're wondering, did you get enough sleep last night?~ >< I slept for 8 hours! My dark circles are just really severe ):

Skin79 evens out skin tone, but my dark circles are still peeping out~ >< It gives you a really matte finish; great for taking pictures WITHOUT flash~ (SPF does give you a white cast when you use flash) & it doesn't feel oily on my skin at all~ Skin79 is a little more gray than the Missha BB cream~ But it will adjust after a couple of minutes

Missha also evens out my skin tone but gives heavier coverage over my dark circles under my eyes~ This color is indeed darker than the Skin79 which suits my skin color better~ When I first apply this BB cream, it feels a little heavy and oily~ & it gives you a dewy finish~

It looks like Skin79 is extremely lighter than Missha, but it is the lighting that is off ): I couldn't get the exact same lighting! Just compare my face and my neck to see the difference between the BB cream and my skin color~ & notice the coverage, not the color~ ^^

Round 4: Oiliness

These two are actually almost the same in terms of oiliness on my oil blotting paper, but on my face, Missha definitely feels more oily at the end of the day~ After a day at school, which is about 4-5 hours, the Missha BB cream makes my face powder clump up into tiny little patches o___o Skin79 only feels a little oily after school~

In case you are wondering, I am using the Mentholatum Acnes Medicated Oil Control Film for this test~ It says it absorbes oil, but not water~

Round 5: Packaging, Price & Product

Note: I purchased both of these BB cream on eBay. Both sellers confirmed they are both indeed real and not fake. The Skin79 BB cream is the upgraded version, which has an upgraded formula, and a smaller, more compact bottle than the previous version(but same amount of product).

Overall:

Both are good in their own ways. Although Missha is a bit oily on me, it is better suited for dry skin & Skin79 is better suited for oily skin like me. Skin79 has a VIP Gold, which is also suited for dry skin~ Both claim to reduce/prevent wrinkles, even skin tone and protect against the sun. Missha has an incredible SPF 40 PA+++ and Skin79 has an SPF25 PA++. In terms of SPF, Missha would be better suited for the summer, but because of the heavy coverage, I do not know if I would like to use it during the summer. Skin79 has SPF25 which is still enough if you are just going to school, but if you are going to the beach or hanging outside for the whole day, you need to use a sunscreen under the Skin79 BB cream.

For now, I seem to be using my Skin79 BB cream more because of the lighter feeling on my face~ because it's almost summer! ^^

BEWARE OF FAKE BB CREAM ON eBay!!

Please make sure to do alot of research before buying on eBay!

Do NOT Buy from the seller if:

1. The seller sells random other stuff other than makeup or girly stuff (such as if they sell computer parts or something related to mass manufacturing, big no-no!)

2. Sells from Hong Kong or China (BIG WARNING)

3. Cheaper than $14.00 (Unless it is an auction item from a seller that sells genuine BB Cream, although under $14 is still very rare)

To purchase authentic Skin79 or Missha BB Cream, make sure to check if the seller:

1. Is selling from South Korea

2. Has more than 98-99% satisfaction

& check why customers left negative/neutral feedback. Was it because the cosmetic item was defective/fake? Or was it just because the shipping was slow, or they never received the item. If it is the former, do NOT buy from the seller. If it is the latter, it is still okay.

3. PLEASE NOTE: Even if they have all of these qualities it is still not guaranteed that they are selling authentic BB Cream.

On Saturday, we went to this garden in LA~ it was sooo pretty! I think it was called Descano Gardens~

On the way to the Garden~ Alex is being old school & looking at paper directions because I stole his GPS for my car~ ^^

NYX Mosaic Blush in Rosey

Ingredients~

Pros:

The packaging for this blush is what caught my eye at first~ The packaging is simple yet pretty and really study~ The color of the blush is good for almost everyone and depending on how dark/light you want the blush. you can concentrate on that section of the blush.

Cons:

I kind of don't like how this blush is really soft, so I have to use a light hand when using this blush or else I will look like a clown, or look like I have a fever and my face is all flushed. And this blush is really shimmery so it makes my cheeks look oily.. and my face is already really oily so my face would look really shiny!! ><

Overall: I like this blush but I don't LOVE it~ Just another addition to my makeup bag (: I decided to get a stippling brush for this blush though, because this blush is so soft and powdery~

Price: I purchased this blush for $4.49 on sale, but it is normally around $7.99 at Ulta, CherryCulture or NYXCosmetics.com. If it was $7.99, I probably would not purchase this blush.

Pros: I really like Sponge Cake because it looks like MLBB (My Lips But Better)~ The color payoff is really good and it is really glossy in the sunlight! Salsa is a bit lighter than my lips but I still like it too! ^^ & the packaging is super adorable with the random bow on top so I like to carry it around in my purse~ (: & There are like 64 shades of colors to choose from on NYXCosmetics.com so there is bound to be a color that suits everyone~

Cons: The smell is somewhat of a cherry smell D: If any of you have the Rimmel round lipsticks, it smells like that. Or like a cherry Chapstick (haha Katy Perry). The smell kind of deters me because I am really sensitive to smells and I get a headache if it's too strong~ x-x" The lip gloss also tends to stick to my straws when I drink something haha~ but that happens to almost all lip glosses...

Overall: I want to collect alot of these lip glosses! haha~ I would definitely repurchase if I run out because these are really cheap! & cute too~ ^^ You can also layer these on top of lip sticks~

Price: I purchased these on sale for about $3.29, but they are normally $5.49. If they weren't on sale, I would probably purchase these too!

Maybelline Define-A-Lash Waterproof Volumizing Mascara

This mascara is really volumizing!

Pros: This mascara is SUPER waterproof (although it is a con too). The packaging is also pretty & pink~ Why am I such a packaging freak T___T The mascara is also more volumizing than my Rimmel Glam Eyes mascara~ I rubbed my eye today because I had an eyelash in it but the mascara barely budged. Only like 1 flake on the bottom of my eye~

Cons: Because this mascara is waterproof, this mascara is SUPER hard to wash off!! I have to scrub my eyeballs in order to get this off. I use the Rimmel Makeup remover that says it can remove waterproof mascara, but... it still has a hard time doing it (maybe my makeup remover isn't strong enough?)

Overall: I would probably only use this mascara if I am going to the beach, if I knew I was going to cry that day, or if outside is really hot and I'm scared that my mascara will run~ Washing this mascara off takes off too many eyelashes and I can't sacrifice them~ >< I would probably not repurchase.

Price: I purchased this mascara for $4.79 on sale, but it is normally $7.79 at Ulta. I would probably not purchase this at full price.

YAY it's finally Friday!! Yesterday, I went to Ulta with my roommate/friend Tiffany aka Tiffo! We went to Ulta to buy some makeup from their 40% off sale on Maybelline, Revlon and NYX! The sale was so amazing... I was like a kid in a candy store~ But I ultimately only bought 4 things~ 2 NYX lip glosses, 1 NYX blush & 1 Maybelline Mascara~

Rimmel Glam Eyes Mascara Review

The weather has been so weird recently in California~ It was around 80-90°F (27-32°C) last week & today was around 60°F (15°C)! I have such a hard time picking clothes in the morning because I hate wearing jeans and if i wear leggings, it might be too cold/hot~ ):

Anyways~ ^^ I will be reviewing the Rimmel Glam Eyes Mascara today! Again, I was struck by the packaging. hehe~ I was shopping at Target for mascara and I saw this for around $5.99 on sale and I just bought it! The mascara states that it is "Ultra Volume, high definition mascara" but from my experience when using it, I think it is more lengthening than volumizing.

If your mascara clumps together, use the left side of this (lash comb) to brush out the clumps for a more natural look~ (I bought this at Ulta for $1.29)

Glam Eyes is non-waterproof. Although I have taken a 2 hour nap with my mascara on and there was little to no flaking~ Just don't cry! ><

Conclusion: This mascara is great for lengthening lashes, but does minimal in volumizing. The mascara holds your curl pretty well and is definitely worth it for the price. Rimmel has $2 off coupons on their Facebook page and in the weekly Sunday Los Angeles Times, so you can save even more! (:

Japonesque Go Curl Pocket Curler Review

I am doing a review on the Japonesque Go Curl Pocket Curler~ I recently bought this cute little eyelash curler at Ulta. It was $10 & I had a $3.50 off $10 purchase so this it was technically $6.50 ^^ I LOVE this curler. I have to admit, the only other curler I have used was my roommate's scissor-type Revlon curler & it pinched the sides of my eyes! Attempting to curl my eyelashes would cause me to cry ): I decided I needed to get one and I saw this online at Ulta.com.

The curler received rave reviews from Asian girls who had straight lashes and would get pinched by other eyelash curlers, so I decided to try it (the pink and the cuteness factor also influenced me hehe~). It is pretty pricey for an eyelash curler, but it does the job really well. It makes my lashes stick straight up (like 90 degree angles if I wanted to) or a soft angle, depending on how hard I clamp the lever. The lever also flips down flat so the eyelash curler is about the thickness of a ring finger, so it helps for traveling.

FREE EYELASH CURLER PADS FOR LIFE!! Just go online to Japonesque's website and there is a small form you can fill out (Address, type of curler, etc.) to receive your free eyelash curler pads. There is also a phone number on the back you can call too. 1 Curler pad can be stored on the bottom of the eyelash curler. So handy!

Etude House Lovely Cookie Blusher Review + Swatch

Hi~ ♪

I am doing a review on the Etude House Lovely Cookie Blush in the No.1 Pink color. When I first saw this blush, I thought it was the cutest blush I have ever seen~ & I am a packaging freak, I love the color pink and I love bows, so I had to get this. Etude House is a brand in South Korea that is an equivalent to a drugstore brand in America. Their makeup/skincare is relatively cheap, but their packaging and stores are so cute~ Why can't there be inexpensive makeup like this in the United States ): But anyways, back to the blush~

The blush is a matte light pink blush that is perfect for a natural look. It is not too bold, but this color may be a little too light for darker skin, but there are other colors to choose from~ You can also layer the blush to achieve the look you want. I have to admit, the blush is a little chalky, but that is because makeup in Asia caters to oily Asian skin so chalky formulas keep the oil to a minimum.

I applied the blush with the powderpuff because I don't have a blush brush~ ):

But the powderpuff works just fine (: Just tap the powderpuff onto the blush and then tap it onto your cheeks & repeat for a stronger color. In the picture, I did it maybe 2-3 times.

Some people say the color doesn't show up, but in real life, the color showed up as a faint pink! Just what I wanted (: In pictures with bright light, it may blend into your skin, so if you are going to take pictures, apply more blush~ I am a NC 25-30 so if you are around there, it will show up in real life~

I really like this blush! It is a natural color for me (:
