It seems like I've been waiting for Revelations forever. I liked Resident Evil 6 but RER is far superior. For those who have been eagerly awaiting the release, we now have a demo release date and a new trailer. Check them out below...

Resident Evil Revelations will be released on the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PC and Wii U across North America on May 14th and Europe on May 15th, with a full game release on May 21st and Europe on May 24th.

The Undead Among 10 AIP Horror Remakes Coming Your Way

If you've bounced around my website for any length of time, you'll notice that there are no movies from the 1950s covered. Why? Because the 1950s sucked, for movies anyways. Its just was in an era that I have any love for, partly due to the atomic age I'm sure. In any case, there were some good ideas thrown out that never really saw their potential fulfilled, hopefully, that is about to change. The remake machine is at it again but this time it may be a good idea.

Hal Sadoff , Jeff Katz, and Lou Arkoff are going to remake 10 of the films sitting in the AIP catalog for a new generation. The titles at this point are: Girls In Prison, Viking Women & The Sea Serpent, The Brain Eaters, She-Creature, Teenage Caveman, Runaway Daughters, The Undead, War of The Colossal Beast, Cool & The Crazy and Day The World Ended. There is no further information available at this time but I have my eye on this one as it to be very good, and of course he could be very bad. Time will tell.

James Cullen Bressack is at it again. When does he sleep? I broke the news of this film a while back which was filmed in secret. Now we have a trailer to check out along with the details...

From The Press Release:

 Today, Psykik Junky Pictures released the first official trailer for their found footage film TO JENNIFER. Written and Directed by award winning Filmmaker James Cullen Bressack, the Horror/Thriller will be available later this year.

Synopsis:
Joey suspects his girlfriend of two years, Jennifer, is cheating on him. He is so convinced that he enlists the help of his cousin Steven to create a Video Diary of his attempt to catch her in the act as well as to document the heartbreak she is putting him through. In an attempt to make her feel guilty, he intends to give this tape to her after catching her in the act.

Filmed entirely on the Iphone 5, Bressack has gone through great lengths to make the film available specifically on the mobile device. Thanks to the work of Psykik Junky Pictures and the help and distribution from Apple and Zoovision, The film will be available in it's entirety as a stand alone App on the itunes marketplace to be downloaded directly to your mobile phone. The app will not only include the film but also special features, much like a DVD would. A price point has not yet been set for the app but Bressack promises to keep the cost low. A Dvd release is also in the works for the film in the future.

"This film was made specifically for the iphone. I am fortunate to have worked with so many amazing people on this project and I think this is a new and unique way to watch a film. This has never been done before and I believe this is a unique new way to distribute a film ," Bressack states.

To Jennifer stars Chuck Pappas, Jody Barton (Hate Crime), Jessica Cameron (Silent Night), Maria Olsen (Paranormal Activity 3) and James Cullen Bressack and features a cameo from American Mary's Tristan Risk. The film is being produced by Bressack, Pappas, and Jarret Cohen under the Psykik Junky Pictures umbrella.

Xan Cassavetes' Kiss of the Damned (2013) - The Sinful Celluloid Review

Coming into theaters this Friday in limited release is Xan Cassavetes' surreal vampire tale, Kiss of the Damned, the story of a man who falls for a woman and is dragged into her personal hell of vampirism, hunger, and self-loathing. This is the first feature from Xan Cassavetes and it swings for the fences. This is a film that you should see in the theater because they're few and far between these days. A horror film for adults with mature themes and something to say. What kind of ride are you in for? Keep reading...

Paolo is a writer who meets a woman in a bar and goes home with her. Things get a bit hot and heavy and she throws him out. Not one to be rejected, fellow interns to roam the next night savagely making out with her through the change front door until blood is drawn. Once again he is turned away, this time bleeding. For Paolo, the third time is the charm, as the next time he sees her he takes her to bed. Things don't go as planned however as she reveals that she's a vampire during their pseudo-S&M lovemaking session. She bites Paolo, making him undead. Thus begins the epic romance while learning him in the ways of the vampire.

She soon takes him to party to meet the rest of vampire society including Xenia, the owner of the home they are staying in. He learns the secrets of how they survive in this excepted amongst a group as a fantastic addition to their world.

Trouble comes in to paradise when Djuna’s sister, Mimi, comes into town and insists on staying in their home. Mimi has gross emotional problems, not just as a vampire, but as a human being, and her psychotic, sleeping Dragon, nature threatens the entire society beginning with Djuna and Paolo.

Kiss of the damned is something special. A throwback to a time when horror was both more erotic, and self-censoring in regards to the violence on screen. It's very much in line with the vampire films of Jean Rollin. It almost functions as a three-person play where we're introduced to a couple and experience the genesis of their bliss before an outside force comes in and threatens to destroy it. It's a simple story but one told with great visual depth and emotional core.

Josephine De La Baume is perfect as Djuna. She is both wise and possesses a certain innocence. She comes across as if she's been alone for so long since forgotten how to function in society, making her a bit childlike in her interaction with the outside world. It's a very delicate balance that Josephine handles with excellence. You can't help but feel for her every moment that she's on screen, for she is never presented of the monster, only a lonely creature who strives to be something greater than the sum of her unnatural parts.

Milo Ventimiglia’s Paolo comes off comes off the obsessive at first. A man who wants something and will stop at nothing a have it even though he has no idea what it is that he's chasing. Over the course of the film he matures into someone that you can root for as he and Djuna face the growing danger has forced its way into their happy home.

Roxane Mesquida plays Mimi, the snake in the Garden of Eden. Roxane’s is by far the most complex character in the film and the performance is masterful. We know that Mimi is trouble in every sense of the word, but there are times when we want to believe in her, when we say to ourselves; “Oh, she's not so bad.” That in itself takes talent because we know that she's evil but get lost in her lies nonetheless.

The film is shot beautifully making each scene, all the more elegant. You can definitely see the influence from Mario Bava in every frame as the film is lit so hauntingly.

This is not a beer and pizza film by any means. It is a film to be enjoyed with wine or brandy. A thinking man's vampire film, a lovers vampire film for adults. Its elegant decadence will seek off the screen and into your room and if you're lucky, the story will continue long after the end credits roll.

One of the cooler festivals around has been The Big Bear Horro-Fi Film Festival which is coming into town this May! One of the awesome things about this festival in particular is the fact that it is held in Big Bear. Not only a different setting than usual, but its also conducive to a truly creepy experience. Almost as if you were attending a convention at Camp Crystal Lake.

This year they are having an extremely special event that you'll want to be in attendance for. What, you may ask? Well, they call him Pumpkinhead! Read on for the details...

From The Release:

SoCal Horro-Fi has just announced a reunion of the Pumpkinhead cast and crew, for the 25th Anniversary midnight screening of the film, to be shown lakeside, on May 18, 2013. Joining the film's star, Lance Henriksen, known to many for Tales From the Crypt, The X-Files, Aliens and The Terminator, will be Matt Winston, representing his director-father and the Stan Winston School of Character Arts, and Pumpkinhead designer and Pumpkinhead himself,Tom Woodruff Jr.

In addition to this exclusive screening, there will be a party to die for, hosted by B's Backyard Barbeque and Boathouse at 350 Alden Road, in Big Bear Lake. Some activities will include the annual costume contest, karaoke with the live band, "Beyond Karaoke", giveaways and drink specials. Cost of the Saturday night party is included with the purchase of an All Access Pass for the weekend. Otherwise, tickets are $15.00 at the door and this party is open to the public.

Kicking off the entire festival weekend is the semi-annual Friday night, VIP party beginning at 6:30pm. This is your first feature. What was it like jumping behind the camera as director?

It’s different when you have to deal with different politics and things, where as being behind the camera there is only a certain amount of stuff that I have to really deal with. I get to focus on one thing where as jumping into the director position, you’re dealing with everything. You gotta be ready to answer every question, it’s a lot of responsibility but it was a comfortable place for me because I’m used to dealing with actors anyways. Half the time I’ll have actors come up to me and ask what’s going on because sometimes I know because the Director and D.P. are talking and I’m right there with them. If the actors haven’t heard anything yet I’ll tell them what’s up. So its easy for me to communicate with the actors, that wasn’t hard. I other things that you have to deal with that you don’t think about. “They need this color rope on their satchel not this…or whatever.” You know, you find out and say; “Oh yeah, I really gotta keep an eye on that stuff.” You really try to know every bit of what’s going on but as you get into production, you start thinking about other stuff that seems more important to you and you can let things slip. That’s why it’s really important to have a good script supervisor with you to keep you on track and a good crew to help you out. You gotta have people who you strongly believe are there to help you along the way. It’s really important to have a good crew.

Was it always your goal to direct?

I moved to L.A. to direct. I got into film because my friend Jason was a grip in Virginia, so I went to film school, did my student films there and then got right into the film business as a Grip and then Dolly Grip. I was like; “I wanna direct, but camera operator is kind of an awesome thing to do,’ and also, I wanted to have my touch on what I saw on film. Cause when I was gripping, I never felt that I had my signature on things where as a camera operator, you saw it first. You’re the one that’s making these shots, so I figured that I wanted to be a part of that. I’ve been doing that for a long time while trying to also get into the directing thing but the camera operator took off for me pretty well and I love it. Its amazing. But I’ve always wanted to direct.

You’ve done like 120 plus features, were you able to bring this entire tool bag of things you could incorporate or was it pretty much run and gun?

For me, a lot of the times, what you bring on set is one; a good personality. You need to get along with everybody. You listen to what the D.P. wants, what the director wants, and what’s going on. You try and create exactly what their vision is. So its not all about having a tool bag and stuff but you’ve got to be able to mesh with everybody and get along with everybody and that’s really important in this business, but, that being said, in my tool bag, I have a stedicam. That was my main starting point was working with the stedicam and getting into camera operating through that. Telling story through movement of camera, which I think one of my biggest things is being able to, not only through dialogue, but using visuals to tell the story.

What was casting like?

Me and Adam (Green), got together about who we wanted. I didn’t get to cast to much or like do auditioning. Adam knew Caroline Williams wanted to do it, which was an awesome choice. Me and Adam both love Derek Mears , I actually came up with Derek when I found out I was gonna do it. So me and Adam were both gunning for Derek. Zack Galligain came up with me because we had to make a list of who we wanted to play Sheriff Fowler and we went through a bunch of people and I didn’t want to go through the usual suspects of people who are in horror films. I always liked Billy from Gremlins so called him up, he was super cool. I didn’t bullshit him; he asked me how it was gonna be, I said it was gonna be absolutely terrible. Infested with mosquitos, hot, its gonna be nasty. He said; “The fact that you didn’t bullshit me and tell me it was gonna be a great shoot was a big selling point for me that you weren’t gonna bullshit me the whole way. So that was great. Sean Whalen is in it, I love him. He worked on Halloween II, he’s also a friend of mine and Jason Trost, so I got those two on there and Diane Goldner, John Gulager’s wife, who I worked with on The Collector, she’s awesome. For the part she plays, I needed someone who could take a major beating and she’s tuff! I knew she’d go 100% with what we needed and more, and she did! As for the rest, it was all stunt guys that we used. I wanted to be sure that if we threw someone around, that you could actually see who it is, which I think is important. I love stunts and stunt guys and girls; I’m amazed with what they can do. Why not just bring them on board and let them be the parts. I did the Jack Reacher movie with Tom Cruise and watching him work is amazing because he doesn’t use stunt guys. He does all his stuff. All the driving we did on this show, he did it all.

Danielle Harris is our female lead again. Had you worked with her before?

I worked with Danielle on Rob Zombie’s Halloween and Halloween II, as well as Hatchet II, so I’ve gotten to know Danielle pretty well and I’m comfortable working with her. That’s another thing; it’s easy to work with someone you’ve already worked with. Cause you can almost come at it as a friend you know? You know what they like and what they don’t like and you can work with them.

Have Kane Hodder and Derek Mears worked together before?

Well they know eachother and they’re friends. We thought it would be really cool to have Jason vs Jason, we thought the fans would really like that too. I believe Adam wanted Derek to be in the second one but there was a scheduling conflict that we couldn’t bring him in. So he wanted him and I wanted him cause I had worked with him on MacGruber and I’ve always been a fan of his work and he’s a genuinely awesome guy. Anything I’d ever do, I’d want Derek there. Another guy I want to mention, that Adam brought on board, is Cody Snider, which I don’t know if people know who he is right now but they’re going to. He plays Sniderman in the movie and he is truly talented. He’s gonna be huge.

How long was the shoot?

We shot in Louisiana in the worst time we could cause it was summertime and we only had 8 hours of night. On a full schedule, you get 12 hours to shoot your scenes, because everything is set at night, we had to wait for the sun to go down so we hauled ass, we only had 8 hours. So everything we had to do in this movie, which was way bigger than anything we had to tackle before, had to be done in a matter of 8 hour nights, in 16 days. Then we came back and did 3 ½ days here in Los Angeles where it was all contained but we need night to do those also. So all in all, we didn’t get any of our 12 hour days like a normal film shoot. I’m very proud of what we did, but if I only would’ve had…and I know everyone says that; if I only would have had those other couple of hours, I could have done some epic stuff. But all in all, I think we did some impressive stuff and I can’t wait to see fans reactions.

So it being your first feature, was there any extra level of stress on a daily basis?

The most stressful thing was praying to god it didn’t rain, cause rain would shut us down, well it rained every day. The weird thing was that it rained in the day when we were trying to sleep, and then when we’d all wake up and go to set, it would stop. We were in two feet of mud. The set flooded like three times, I mean it was underwater. We’d be shoveling water off the set and trying to bring in sand to rebuild all our set because of the damage done by all the rain. It was amazing to see the crew chip in and really try to make this film work. I couldn’t have done it without the crew that we had.

Would you return to New Orleans for your next feature or would you prefer to move on?

It depends on story. I like New Orleans, I don’t love New Orleans. I’m from Pensacola, Florida, I grew up pretty close to New Orleans so I know the area pretty well and if it was a script that we could do in New Orleans, fantastic. The crews are fantastic, the people are fantastic. I think for the next one though, I’d like to stay in town, work with people I know here also. A lot of people wanted to do Hatchet that I couldn’t bring so I’d like to bring on the guys that I usually work with here in L.A. We have everything here that we need. We have stunts, effects, you know? I’d really like to do something in town. It would be awesome.

Do you have another feature lined up with you as director?

I got a couple of things lined up that I can’t talk about yet but yeah. I’m coming up with the ideas and my friends are writing it. The people I’m working with are really good friends so I’m excited about it. We’ll see what happens.

What do you want everyone to know about Hatchet III?

I just want people to know that we’re making a fun movie, not a serious torture porn movie. Something that at times can be ridiculous, at times can be serious. It’s just a go see it, have fun with it kind of movie. That’s what I want people to do.

Rob Zombie's The Lords of Salem - The Sinful Celluloid Review

I have been waiting for some time to speak about the Lords. This was perhaps my most anticipated Zombie film. It deals with a subject close to my heart, that of witches, and it’s his first wholly original live action film since “Corpses over a decade ago. This is the film that may divide Zombie fans permanently into two separate camps. Those who believe in and enjoy his directional efforts and those who hold that nothing good can come from him behind the camera. Where does the film fall in the overall scheme of zombie films? That is not an easy answer. Let’s talk about The Lords of Salem.

The Lords of Salem concerns a Salem D.J. and recovering drug addict who goes to work, home to drink, and cares for her dog. Heidi in fact does little else. She lives a dark and lonely existence until a wooden box comes to the station containing a strange record. When played, the women of Salem fall under a trance and an unfinished cycle of violence and retribution is unleashed.

The Lords of Salem is not a film for everyone; this is likely due to expectation more than most other films. The film is somber and mysterious though not in a way that has the viewer looking for clues in the traditional sense. The film is a meditation on life choices, fate, and the power of powerlessness in the face of personal history.

Heidi has demons both known and unknown to her. Her life is lived in darkness and though she is part of a radio DJ team, she seems to live in constant loneliness. Her dog, Steve, is her only constant companion and one unconditional love.

Sheri Moon Zombie is both more restrained than we’ve seen her and also more emotionally naked. She is pushed further than she has gone before but not in a scene-chewing way. Her performance is a subdued melancholy decent into personal hell. Sheri proves that she can carry a film and push herself to dark places that resonate deeper than her previous characters. She could become “Heidi Hawthorne” at any time, and it’s that fact that makes the character and her performance engrossing.

The other lead, Herman “Whitey” Salvador is her co-worker at the station. They clearly had a sexual relationship in the past which may have been alcohol induced, regardless of the reason, Heidi seems over it but Herman himself is in love.

Jeffery Daniel Phillips as “Whitey” is an open book. A fragile soul searching for an existence worth living and seeing the light in Heidi’s eyes. This being his first character of real substance, he brings a realism and sadness to the screen. Most men have been at this point at one time in our lives and that being the case, his performance rings true.

Completing the trinity is Bruce Davidson as Francis Matthias, a local historian and museum manager who discovers a link between Heidi and the “Lords of Salem”. Curiosity gets the best of him and soon he finds himself investigating her family history and being drawn deeper into the coming storm. Bruce always adds weight to a role and turns a potentially silly horror stereotype into a living, breathing character whose motivations seem genuine.

On the other end of the spectrum lies the dark trinity of Lacy (Judy Geeson of A Candle for the Devil), Megan (Patricia Quinn of The Rocky Horror Picture Show), and Sonny (Dee Wallace Stone of The Howling). They represent the dark forces of Heidi’s world, the lying serpents in her twisted and rack shamble Garden of Eden. Overlooking this battle of good and evil is Margaret Morgan (Meg Foster), the anti-Christ of this story, watching over the intended vessel of doom like a satanic godmother.

The structure is simple and reminiscent of Twin Peaks: Fire Walk with Me. One week in the life of Heidi Hawthorne as her life tail spins towards its inevitable fate. What strikes you visually in this film is its composition. Part Kubrick in its symmetry, part Polanski in its deliberate pace and camera moves, with a dash of Ken Russell with its sexual imagery and hallucinatory flashes. The film exists as a fever dream, a waking nightmare that is relentless in its perpetual doom. You may watch it 20 times and walk away with a new interpretation each time.

That being said, the film will anger some. The film builds and builds but the chaos never explodes on the screen. It ends with a whisper, not a bang. This is not a fault in the film, merely the intent of the story being told. I sat next to a devout Rob Zombie “fanatic” who “Reads everything he says on the internet”. She was deeply angered and disappointed by the film because she was expecting “Blood, guts, scares!” If she truly was the fanatic she claims to be, she should have known what she was in for as he has been very clear on his intent with this film. Just sayin...

This is a return to the satanic seventies style of film making, films like Black Candles (1982), Satan’s Blood, Rosemary’s Baby, and The Devils. Nothing is off limits, no setting is too taboo. It may, at any point, cross the line and scar you with its subtle ugliness.

In any case, this is a good film for the right state of mind. A film to meditate on and enjoy on a cold and lazy day, It contains no true jump scares but it story and imagery will haunt you for some time to come. Its coda playing to the sounds of The Velvet Underground’s “All Tomorrow’s Parties”, its hard not to get sucked into the bitterness of the film’s final moments.

Like I said earlier, this film is not for everyone but it is the film Rob wanted to make, at least in intent and pace. It is perhaps the most sterling example of a film that will be judged on expectation rather than on its own merit and that alone is as sad as the story that unfolds.

Linnea Quigley and Ken Hall Talk The Return of The Horror Workout!

Who didn't have a crush on Linnea Quigley growing up in the Eighties? She was the quintessential 80's horror star, sexy, fun, with always down for a bloody good time. From Return of the Living Dead to Night of the Demons, she holds a special place in our hearts.

She made so many great films during that time and her performances stay with you. However, one of the most interesting films she did during that era was Linnea Quigley's Horror Workout. An exorcise video like no other in the age of the exorcise video, it is a video long cherished and sought after by collectors. Well, if this is one of those videos you've been dying to get your hands on, the wait is over. Linnea's Horror Workout is back!

I had a chance to get together with Linnea and Director/Producer Ken Hall and touch base about this great release...

Linnea looked as beautiful as always.

You have been a stable in horror for a long time. What is it like to see your influence continue to grow?

It’s a great and amazing feeling to know there are so many people who still love these movies.

Everyone always talks about The Return of the Living Dead of course, but what is your favorite Linnea role?

I love Spider in SORORITY BABES IN THE SLIMEBALL BOWLERAMA and my character in NIGHTMARE SISTERS who gets to change from a homely sorority girl into a sexy succubus.

Are you surprised that the exorcise video has amassed its own cult following over the years?

I am surprised. What started out as a joke on the set of MURDER WEAPON turned into this oddball video that has endured all these years.

Turning my attention to Ken:

You had previously wrote Nightmare Sisters which starred Linnea, How did you first get involved with the project?

Dave DeCoteau came over to my place one night and proposed a project called SORORITY SUCCUBUS SISTERS. He wanted it to star Linnea, Brinke Stevens , and Michelle Bauer as a trio of college girls who get possessed and go around orally castrating guys. I thought it sounded like a hoot, plus I came up with the idea that they’d start out as nerds and transform into hotties. I wrote that script in seven days, which is still a record for me.

Were you a Jane Fonda devotee?

I liked her BARBARELLA. Actually, I’ve liked her in a lot of movies but if you’re asking me if I was a fan of her workout videos, I can honestly say I’ve never seen them. Of course, I knew of their popularity, as well as other celebrity exercise tapes, which is what led to the Horror Workout.

Do you feel that Horror Workout is lightening in a bottle or could something like this be successful in today’s health and horror conscious society?

The Horror Workout always was and always will be a novelty item. I believe our target audience is Fans of Linnea and 80s B horror in general. That said, at least one fitness website reviewed favorably so you never can tell.

Is there a chance that you two will reunite in the near future to bless us with your unique paring?

As a matter of fact, we have been discussing something but I don’t like talking about projects until they are definitely happening. Suffice it to say it’s something I think our fans will really like.

I don't usually get nervous when preparing an interview, but I must admit, there were some butterflies when meeting Brooke Lewis. A veteran of over 40 projects, including her signature character, Ms. Vampy. She has been an influence to many an actress who seek work in film as well as those who's goal is wearing the title of Scream Queen. Neither is easy to obtain but when she walks into the room with her small but surprisingly powerful stature, there is no question as to why she is a staple in the film community.

So what is on her plate today? Zombies, or more to the point, Hitchcockian Zombies. Today we are talking about Lazarus, the new film by Thomas Churchill. Lazarus is a Mystery Noir Thriller with a Zombie body and the soul of Hitchcock. Is that possible? I assure you that it is, but don't listen to me. Listen to the Scream Queen, she is holding court...

What can you tell me about the character you play in Lazarus?

OK, here’s a bit of comic trivia, which is par for the course with Brooke Lewis roles. You are the first to get this; Thomas Churchill and I have known each other and wanted to work together for years. I was one of the first to know about Lazarus from its inception. We would meet for coffee and he would bounce ideas off me. He wrote me the role of Lucinda, but I have such severe allergies and a lot of her scenes were shooting at a dog kennel, so I could not play the role, because I couldn’t be near the animals. It was so upsetting, but I truly believe that everything happens for a reason, and we sat down and he was like; “what are we gonna do?” We were in shock and I said; “I guess I’m gonna have to wait till the next one…” It was heart wrenching because I was madly in love with the script, and I get sent a lot of scripts. So he said; “There’s a couple of roles that I haven’t signed contracts on yet, why do you take a look at this, this, and this.

Now, originally, the part of Ms. Daniels was written for a 55 year old woman, and it’s one of those great character roles. I told him that I wanted to play Ms. Daniels. Well, at first he really had to digest that and he sleep on it and we talked the next day. He said; “I can’t not have you in the film, you’ve been with me from day one, OK, you’ll play Ms. Daniels, we’ll make her younger.

So what was the role switch like?

It’s a supporting role and she was such a challenging role for me as an actress. I had to really do my due diligence as an actress, working with my acting coach, Courtney Gains, and at first I was nervous, cause it was so different for me. She’s Mature, and she’s the CEO of this insurance company who is the insurance provider for the Deadly Sins cigarette company. I told Thomas to give me a couple of directing notes ahead of time so I know what to work on. He told me; “You ready? Think Judi Dench in Skyfall” I’m like “Are you fucking kidding me?”

I’ve played in my career, so many hooker roles, and I’ve been blessed to be able to create roles for myself like in “iMurders” as a detective and Kinky Killers as a Psychiatrist. But to really get to play a mature, powerful, female role where there’s different layers of emotion as she is delivering the information in the scene to George Lazarus and it just builds and builds and builds. Great!

And how did you feel about the Hitchcock element?

Thomas and I are both HUGE Hitchcock fans, and I’m Ms. Daniels…The Birds! So we have birds and Parakeets behind me in cages in the office, and they’re chirping throughout the scene and I’m trying to be in character and in the moment. It really works.

Because the film is so layered, what was it like to play in that world?

Well, again, I am such a Hitchcock fan, that was one of the biggest draws for me. The other draw for me, is that Thomas and I are both New York Italians, I’ve done a lot of mobster pictures, so I know that role very well, and there’s a little bit of that with Mammon Beelzebub and the daughter, being a reformed gangster, I love that. Here is the crazier part, all my fans know this, I’m Ms.Vampy, so I’m a vampire junky, I am not a zombie fan, and it’s just not my thing. I found myself saying; “I’m making a zombie movie?” and I think that was a lot of people’s reaction. But when I read it, the zombie thing is so secondary, the story is so good and so tight and so there, its smart and Hitchcockian, all compiled together it works wonderfully.

I would work on the whole Devil-Beelzebub stuff that turns me on more than zombie stuff does. For me the biggest attractions to the script were the Hitchcock mystery, the time period, and the Devil-Beelzebub stuff. The zombie stuff was last, but it works! All the readers should know that its not just another zombie film, a very smart story and a great twist, very indie film.

What was the energy like on set?

Magical. As an actress who has worked on studio pictures and studio television, you know, the last several films I’ve been involved in executive producing were all 1million to 2 million dollar films, so you know not to go in with crazy high expectations. For a low budget film, the crew was amazing, the energy was amazing, it was a really collaborative effort. I gotta say, and who the hell am I?, he treated me like a rockstar! Sometimes that gets skewed when you are working with friends, not the case at all. I had an incredible experience, off the board, from the crew, the set, the professionalism.

The shots I’ve seen look fantastic...

Wolfgang, who is such an incredible D.P. is just amazing. I had heard from a lot of friends how talented he was and you know people, you see people, but I had never worked with him before. That was such a gift to work with Thomas and Wolfgang together. The professionalism technically was above and beyond what anyone would imagine. That crew worked so damn hard, they worked such long hours, to make something magical. I felt it. I knew there was one take of Ms. Daniels, one of my close ups, that, you know as an actor when you are in the zone, I was in the fricken zone! I knew it, I felt it, and they got me there. That’s my director, my D.P., my fellow actors. I hope they use that take because it was so spot on. That’s a credit to them.

Are there any funny stories that you can share?

Brooke bursts into laughter. Oh god, I am never gonna live this one down so I might as well share it with you and you are the first to hear. They have been breaking my balls and sending me fricken pictures from set. So speaking of being in the zone, and I am like so in the zone at this point, l had a lot of dialogue, monologue after monologue after monologue, and I’m in the groove. So we do this one take where it was fricken incredible. I was so excited. So the next day they were all on set and I get a call on speaker from Thomas and Wolfgang and they’re like, “You know your favorite take in the world?”, I’m like, “Yeah. It was fucking awesome!” They’re like “yeah, well we just watched the dailies and Natalie (Victoria) and Ray (Campuana) were with us and they’re like “OH MY GOD! She has a water bottle to the left on the desk in the scene!” We had these baby water bottles, I had it on the floor, and no one could see it. At one point, we took a quick break; I took it out and put it there. One of the P.A.’s asked if I need more water, so they brought me water. I don’t know what happened, how it happened cause they were so tidy. So Thomas is like “Brooke. The fricken water bottle is right there on the desk in the scene.” Now you’re talking about a period piece movie of 1950. You can’t have an arrowhead water bottle. This the cherished take that was a work winning performance. You could do 20 performances in a scene that suck, and then you get that one. This was the take that Thomas literally jumped over the desk and said “I have to hug you right now, you are fucking amazing!” and Wolf was like “Oh my god. You should have seen the intensity in your eyes.” And then when they call me the next day, I thought they were punking me. I’m like “You’re so full of shit. Don’t fuck with me, you can’t do that to actors, because you know how sensitive I am. It is not funny. They’re like, “We swear to god, a water bottle is on the desk, in the shot.” Well I was gonna start crying, I’m still heartbroken over it. Then Wolf called me back; “We didn’t mean to upset you, but we just saw it. All of us forgot. No one saw it in the shot.” I’m like; can’t you fix that in post? Can’t we put a sign on it in post?” So they calmed me down and said that they will figure out a way. If that’s the best take then we will figure out a way to fix it in post.

So after that day, and they knew how devastated I was, those MoFo’s had a laugh. You know the Gnomes? People take them and travel, Like pictures of the Gnomes in Italy, in the mountains like Big Bear, right? Everyday these guys, including Natalie, would send me pictures from set. First Ray, with his 50’s suit and hat holding a bottle of water and a thumbs up. “Got Water?” Then the next day, Natalie sends one. Then Thomas sends one as Beelzebub, making this crazy face with a cigar in one hand and a water bottle in the other. It became the set joke and I’m such a professional, such a perfectionist, especially when it comes to my work, that I want everything to be perfect. I have the worst luck.

What is it that you hope fans take away from this zombie film?

The film noir, mystery, and Hitchcockian elements cause that’s what inspires me as an actress. My preferences as an actress, and I love horror as a spectator, I love mystery, I love thriller. If you said to me; “OK, you’re gonna act in 10 Hitchcock films over the next 5 years”, I’d be over the moon. I love that. I love that Thomas is bringing that back in his own style. It’s just Amazing.

You’ve produced a lot of projects over the years and you stay busy in front of and behind the camera. What can your fans look forward to from you in the near future?

A lot of good stuff. As an actress, I got really into the Sci-Fi world and stared in Neil Johnson’s Starship sequels, called Starship: Rising and Starship: The Coming Darkness. We shot both back to back in November/December, just amazing indie sci-fi films. Great scripts, a great role for me, I’m super, super proud of it. I play a fighter pilot, like flying a starship, which is a challenging role for me. It will be out DVD/VOD in August and September. Mark Clebanoff my director from Break, contacted me last year and said; “I wrote you a role in my next film” it’s a drama thriller with almost a twinge of Sci-Fi, funny enough, I’ve gotten this new Sci-Fi persona as well, which is amazing. I love Sci-Fi, and if I can do horror and Sci-Fi together, FANTASTIC! So he brought me out to Michigan for two weeks last October to do The Mourning. Oh My God, I’m telling you, this one’s like an Independent Spirit Award Winner. It is just a heart wrenching, beautiful drama about life and love, with a thriller aspect to it. So I got a couple of really great films coming out and I’m super,super excited about those, plus I’m doing all my other stuff. As far as producing, I only have two passion projects that I’m producing in the next few years. One is Vamp It Out, which is Ms. Vampy’s “High School Musical”, movie of the week, Nickelodeon-esque type of thing for teenage girls which is about positive messages for teenage girls, something I’m really committed to. Then the other passion project is a vampire rock opera, which is like my baby and that, Staci Layne Wilson is very involved in right now, she’s co-producing with me. We are really amped to try and get that one out there. That is so many things. It’s like a vampire rock opera love story.

I’m also attached to a couple of really amazing films this year. One is a drama/animae film called Black Hat and a couple of other things that I can’t shout out yet but it’s looking good!

This is the second feature film by 21 year old James Cullen Bressack, his first being the amazon horror best seller MY PURE JOY which was released last year. If you have been wandering the halls of horror for any amount of time, you have probably seen Dana Davidson. Always a fixture, she is known as a one woman force to be reckoned with. Writer, Producer, Actress, and Comedian, there is little she hasn't done yet so much more she'll do! Having a drink at the Jumpcut Cafe in Studio City, she was happy to break down her 13 Question Marks of Horror...

You've got to be one of the hardest working women in show business. What drives you to ware for many hats?

Thank you, I appreciate that. I never stop thinking. It’s both a blessing and a curse. So, every time something pops into my head I have to get it out, and make it happen. Even if it is years down the line, the ideas stay with me. I can admit that I can, at times be an oxymoron. I can be incredibly patient, however, I don’t suffer fools. I think I've always been that way. When I was younger I got bored very easily, making straight A’s, getting honor roll awards, playing baseball on the boys team, gymnastics, ballet etc. Yet, I was bored. I needed more of a challenge. After grade school I negotiated my first deal, it was the first day of 8^th grade and I didn’t see the point in continuing education in a system that didn’t allow me to grow and learn at my own pace. So, I went into the newly launched independent study program and graduated eighth grade in three months. I then I graduated high school in under two years, and I did it all as a homeless teenager, with everyone rooting against me. But I won. Having to work my way everywhere, with ever been handed to me, even though I've grown up in the industry, helped me to build my drive and ambition and personal strength, that's just part of who I am. I ware many hats because that is what makes me happy. I went to film school and made sure to learn everyone’s job, that way no one can blame their ineptitude on me. I’ve often had to remind people along my journey that I know their job, and if they aren’t up for doing it, I am more than happy to let them go and either do it myself, or find someone who actually wants to be there. I went into my Masters Program in Psychology because I wanted to better understand the human condition and the human mind even more than I already did. There are so many things in life that are fascinating, I have never seen the need to pick just one.

It seems like you're one of the few people in the business actually born and raised here. Do you think that gives you an advantage when working within the industry?

No, it gives me a disadvantage because I have more to prove. I grew up with friends on television and I went to studios with them, on auditions with them, this was in pre-school & grade school. I've seen many different sides of the world, and so, I know that I have to prove more because I have that experience. A common misconception that many people have is that they think you have an easy way “in” because you live here, when in reality you don't. There is no easy way “in” anywhere. Every single one of us has to do the work. In fact I came to a realization that, while I would never take back my life experience, it would be nice to have a home base in another region to go home to, to escape and have a break with family removed from Hollywood, while at the same time I am happy that the majority of my family is within a 2 hour drive of where I am.

You're a popular face in horror circles. What film or experience first got you into horror?

I've always been very dark. When my family would go on vacations, during the long drives or plane rides, when I couldn’t read because of driving/reading induced nausea, I would fantasize about the most sadistic horrible things, at a very young age. Not that I wanted these things to happen, I, simply put, have a very active imagination. When I was younger my mother found some of my writings, mind you she is, especially then, a very religious person. When she found some of my horror writings from the age of pre 11 years old, I got into a lot of trouble. My writings were burned and I was given a Christian exorcism. I grew up with 4 older siblings, plus older male cousins, I was exposed to a lot at a very young age including the death of my closest brother, then the death of my father, and so many friends that I grew up with on the streets have since died. I’ve seen some terrible things in my life. This probably made me identify with horror more so than romantic comedies. When I was younger, weekend nights I’d stay the night at one of my best friends house, and it was our ritual, her older sister would take us to the occult/horror section of Blockbuster or the local video store for movie night. It was thrilling to watch things that were banned in my home. Mind you I was between 8 – 12 years old at the time. These movies would scare the living shit out of me. I’d pretend like I wasn’t scared, but I was and I loved it, I absolutely loved it.

How did you get into writing?

I've always written, since before I can remember. I’ve always been someone who, while I have a lot of friends, I isolate myself. I enjoy being alone. I need that isolation in order to write, self reflect, and explore my thoughts, as well as those around me, with out interruption. I needed an outlet, I need a voice, hence my transition into Stan Up Comedy. Over the years I’ve been lucky (by lucky I mean worked hard and never given up) and steadfast to cultivate a voice, be it comedy or horror. It took me many years to accept that I am a writer. In my family I was supposed to be a doctor or lawyer or a politician who went to an ivy league college. I chose a different path, or maybe this path chose me. I got my BA in Television/Film and Masters work in Psychology. Both tracks of learning greatly contribute to a better life as well as a better quality work. Writing was just the natural thing to do. When my mother found out, she tried many ways to get me to stop writing, instead it made me write more. After 10 years of struggling with being a writer, I finally accepted that it was my fate. No one in my family supported me creatively, so I found other ways to write without people knowing, which was just to write it in my head, and rewrite over and over until it was stored verbatim it in my brain. They can’t burn or trash things that they can’t see. But I've always been a writer and coming to terms with that was a very difficult processes. My family would have preferred their daughter to become a doctor, lawyer, and/or politician. None of my choices were particularly popular. That being said, this is my life, I only have one shot at this, and I’d rather live it the way I see fit than regret never going after my dreams.

You've written for girls and corpses and fatally yours.com. At what point did you decide to start acting?

I've always wanted to act. My parents would never let me do it because when I was growing up my friends did it. So when I was 14 years old, I began working as background and featured on music videos, I had a Mohawk (from 12-18 years old) and at the time, not a lot of people did back then, so I would get a lot of work. I paid for a lot of Doc Martins with my income from those music videos. The road of an actor or actress, is very turbulent. Actors, Comedians, Writers face so much rejection that one must have a very thick skin. I found that it's difficult to be taken seriously as a human being if one only identifies themselves as an actor, let alone any kind of artist. That being said, I have been performing since I was 3. The largest show to date, was the two times that myself and Charter Oak Gymnastics performed the pre-game at Dodgers Stadium. I am a classically trained ballerina, and when I was younger, a gymnast. I can still hear the roar of the crowd and the adrenaline from those two performances at the Stadium. I also used to sing with my aunts at weddings, funerals, parties, etc. While I wasn’t allowed to be on Tv or in Film, I have been performing almost my entire life. Since I already have this ability to write, and the need to voice my opinions via telling stories, I found that in writing I could be even more satisfied and fulfilled. Many of the acting roles I was offered were parts that I turned down because, simply put, I didn’t feel comfortable, at the time, portraying the loose dumb blond stereotype. As of today, depending on the script, I could totally have fun playing that role, so long as I trusted the creativity of the team I am working with. So, I guess the answer is, I’ve always wanted to act, but I prefer to be in projects that I believe in, rather than a hundred projects that I hope no one ever sees.

After being behind the scenes for some time what was it like jumping in front of the camera?

Again, I’ve been performing since I was 3 years old. With a camera, you have more than one shot to get it right, live performance is so much different. For me, it's difficult because since I've worked almost every job possible on production from pre through post… I'm so empathetic for everybody on the crew. As an actress if I mess up a take, or for some reason can't remember my lines, or can't be perfect the first time round, I feel bad for every one on set because I value their time. Since I know everyone's job, it is both a positive because I'm aware of the kind of performance I need to give, angles and such, but it's also a negative because I'm so empathetic towards everyone and the part that they play in making a project happen. When in reality as an actor my job is to just act and trust that everyone is on the same page.

What can you tell me about the creation of powder monkey?

I started PowderMonkey Productions before my son was born. It was back when I lived in Los Feliz. I started writing some of my first scripts and I hadn't gone to college for film yet. At the time I was a working makeup artist in film and helped in set design. While I didn’t yet have a film degree, what I did have was a computer and a copy of final draft. I didn't really know the format of screen writing, but I knew I could learn quickly and I had stories that I wanted to tell, as well as some book ideas. I must have been 19- early 20s and a little wild, ok a lot wile, after all.. life is an adventure. At that point I was working as a makeup artist and trying to get the writing going at the same time. I formed PowderMonkey Productions. It was kind of a spoof because I was doing makeup, so there's powder, but powder can also elude to drugs, and I love monkeys. So, I decided to call it that, and after I got my bachelor’s degree I kept the name. While in Film school I and launched into making short films under this production name, and gradually started producing red carpet interviews for such things as SpikeTV ScreamAwards and Guy’s Choice awards. I would host and edit while a college friend in my film program would DP. Back then you could package red carpet press coverage because the Internet wasn't what it is now. These days there isn’t as big a demand for that sort of red carpet thing, you can't make as much money anymore (laughs). As life happens, everyone that I trusted and worked with kind of moved on with their lives, started families, moved out of state, some stayed and we still work together, including me. I started focusing on my first novel written under my name, “Carnival Of Dementia” available on Amazon Kindle. Prior to that I worked as press for various horror genre outlets, as well as the arts and lifestyle print magazine “Citizen LA” where I interviewed artists and had a monthly column, IF Magazine etc. I’ve written for so many places I always forget which ones I am leaving out. Last year I finished the final rough draft of my novel and 3.5 years ago my significant other at the time, died. I had to take a break and regroup. I finished working on my Masters in psychology, and concentrated on finishing the novel because I was in a really dark place and I needed an outlet, it was a very difficult time. My partner who died used to enjoy reading my drafts of “Carnival Of Dementia,” in fact he was blown away that I could write like that. At any rate, this is also when I started doing Stand Up Comedy, after his death. I don’t know what that had to do with PowderMonkey Productions, but there you go.

Which do you prefer, producing or acting?

Acting. (Laughs) because producing, while I'm good at it, is incredibly stressful. I'm good at managing people. I'm able to draw a line and say, “No were doing this, this, and this.” But I'd rather just perform than anything else. Even though the game of business and politics can be fun… if I never have to do that side of the business again, it would be fine with me. I’m including producing live comedy shows. Even as an actor you are still producing yourself, you are your business, it is always a good idea to think of the ramifications of what you're doing. I honestly don’t think that producing and acting are mutually exclusive. But there's also a stigma that comes with being an actress/actor. I’ve run into many people who can’t fathom a writer/comedian/actress who doesn’t have a day job and is raising an amazing child on her own, yet that is my reality. Simply put, my child comes first. I will never take any job that would make me miss his childhood. You referenced earlier that I wear many hats, I do. I’ve always been that way. Trust me, if I could do anything else, I would. However, it was never in my cards to be “normal,” that just isn’t a box that I can fit into. When People ask what I do I say I’m a writer, comedian, produce, and act. Mostly, I’m a mother who has the wonderful chance to be present and see the world through my son’s eyes. To see everything new again… When I word things in that order they choose to not listen to the acting portion. Which is fine by me. I’m not the type to hound people, I believe desperation in this business is an ugly trait. Most people know that I do all of the above. If they want to hire me, they know where to find me. Even that is a double edge sword, some people find out later that I also act, and become defensive, as if I have been lying. I never lied, they just chose not to listen. There's also a stigma with being a standup comedian because people have a misconception that if they are a part of my life that I'm going to talk about them, and that's just not the case. There are some people in my life that I do talk about, but they've already okayed that, and I am not the type of person to name names on stage. I find that tacky. Privacy is a very valuable commodity.

In addition to everything you do in its war related also do standup comedy. Were you always the comedian in the room?

I grew up with four siblings I was the fifth, the youngest. My mother would always make light of things to help us deal with whatever atrocity life threw our way, and there was always healthy… let us just say there was always competition amongst all of us siblings plus my cousins. So jabbing at each other was always a part of my youth. Growing up we would tell <yell> mean jokes at each other across the house and mess with each other in ways that were, in hindsight, hilarious. It was always a competition to see who could one up each other. When I was younger I was always afraid to give it back to my mom, back then I wouldn’t have put it past her to turn the tables and trap me into punishment for talking back. My mom would always throw “yo mama” jokes at us, and I would say, “Mom I don't want to do this because I know this is a trap and I didn't want to be grounded or smacked for saying things back.” Finally I jumped off the cliff, so to speak, and started giving words back when she was playing “yo mama,” I realized it was okay in the comforts of our home and under those circumstances, but not outside. I was a shy kid prior to JR High. I didn’t trust many people. There were too many variables and hidden motivations. As a pre-teen and young adult, in relationships, guys like to be the funny ones, so I’d dial it back, for the most part. I never tried to be funny, but I did find myself making people laugh when I didn’t actually mean to. I get my sarcasm and scathing whit from my mother. Watching people like Roseanne, Richard Pryor, and George Carlin having a voice, voicing their opinions, I always wanted to have that. In theory when I’m on stage talking about things that I feel like working on, nobody can take that away from me. If you would've asked me 10 years ago, I would've said no way in hell would I be a stand up. But a fellow comedian friend in NY told me this when I visited him a few years back, “Dana if anyone can handle both the social and performance aspect of Stand Up Comedy, it’s you. Start writing and do it.” He kept bringing it up for about 6 months, I kept saying no. All the while I was writing some of the most depressing things possible, but they had to get out of my brain in order for me to reach my true self, to find what mattered to me and find my voice.

December rolls around and I start going to The Comedy Store and watching. I still didn’t think I would get the courage to do it, because it's daunting, but I had been writing for a year trying to figure out if I could do it or not. Everything I wrote was more like a novel of ridiculous things. On the 1 year anniversary of my significant other’s death I was so distraught. I was still here on earth sorting my grief, which is good, yet so overcome with emotions that I went to my first open mic, and lucky I had been hanging around people long enough that I had some support. I was so angry at the world for everything that I have, and continue to, overcome, I had enough guts to just get on stage and tell people what was on my mind and I haven’t stopped since that day. For me it was therapeutic and freeing, I had finally found something that was mine, and mine alone. I had other comedians helping me by encouraging me while I was on stage that first night. There were other comedians there trying to heckle me, but I shut them down fairly quickly, again, the growing up experience, the siblings, the streets, this life… it seems to all be preparation for a better future. That feeling was so freeing, so absolutely wonderful. That isn’t to say Stand Up has been an easy road. It isn’t.

It is a well-known fact that standup comedy is one of the hardest things you could ever do. What you remember about your first time upon stage?

I remember that I was shaking and I had to have a couple of beers before going on. When they called my name I was thinking, "What the fuck am I doing?!?!?!” I went on stage and I knew that everything, my entire life, was about to change. I didn't know if it was for better or for worse, but I was about to take that leap and hope that a net will catch me. It was like slow motion when I took the microphone. I remember being so scared. I tried to recite my “material” but within seconds I knew that I had to go ahead and talk about whatever was going on with me, I had to just be honest. For some reason I knew that as long as I was honest, I would be safe. I remember being so filled with joy because I was scared out of my mind, that sort of risk back then, in the beginning, it isn’t the same feeling as now. Though I’m not saying it gets any easier. When my time was done I remember handing over the microphone and heading offstage. I though of myself, "What the fuck did I just do?" and was very quiet. When it was over, and we were all leaving, a paid regular from The Comedy Store named Mack Lindsay, stood outside smoking a cigarette. He looked at me, and said, “Keep going, keep writing.” I sighed with relief, and I did.

One of your creations was a M. World which I thought was fantastic. Would you like to turn that into a feature?

Oh yeah. That's what I originally wanted to do. It was developed with my production company PowderMonkey Productions, and came to fruition as a series of shorts that my friends from college either acted with me and/or helped as crew. I wrote the scripts for all of and I also edited all of them. It would be really amazing if I could turning it into this off-the-wall ridiculous comedy feature, make it interesting, and I do have more things written so that it could be done eventually. Then I started getting into experimental film. I was first interested in experimental films and making them in my BA program, and then I got more interested in making horror. That is when I directed a 16mm horror short, I need to reedit it as I lost the digital footage transfer when a hard drive literally caught on fire. It's this weird progression from experimental, to sketch experimental, to horror, and then to Stand Up comedy and horror at the same time. But yes, I’d like to make M World a feature.

What are the biggest misconceptions you have to deal with when people find out who you are and what you do for a living?

That is a loaded question. The biggest misconception is that I'm a conniving, evil woman there to take advantage of every man that I meet. Which couldn’t be farther from the truth. I recently met someone who was incredibly rude at AFM. He was unfortunately a mutual friend of people that I knew and that I trusted. I was very excited that they were in town, as these people live over seas. One night after AFM we all went to dinner. The one person, that guy, who I didn’t know started razzing me about being an actress completely negating the other things I have accomplished. Granted, some people use put downs as a way to lower a woman’s self esteem. He soon found out, wrong woman to do that to. As I’ve mentioned before I don’t suffer fools. This stranger decided to tell these specific people that I was using them to get cast in one of their movies, and all this other crap, which wasn't true. I don't take kindly to being talked down to, so I had to make a choice. Was I going to stand up for myself and possibly lose these friendships because he is friends with them and sometimes that is how it works, or was I going let him treat me like shit and loose respect for the people that were with me because they weren't sticking up for me? Point being, I wouldn’t be where I am if I idly sat by and let someone verbally abuse me and say derogatory things to me, and where I come from, women have equal rights and the so called men should stick up for their friends, even if they are female. The final straw was that he said that I'm some sort of prostitute because in his country there is no way a single mom can support herself and her family, this was where I made the decision, I'm going to take him down in front of our friends. So I did. In the process I lost all respect for those specific friends. I choose my friends wisely, if someone is going to let their friend verbally degrade me, then they aren’t worth my time. This also makes people think I am mean, yet I am only mean to those who are mean to me, at that point it’s their fault. I strongly believe in treating people the way you want to be treated and if you can’t handle a fight, don’t start one.

Those are the main misconceptions about me. The reality is, I worked very hard for everything I have, almost never taking an entire day off. I continue to write, I continue trying to develop as an artist and a human, and I don't treat people in the way that person treated me. Even if I don't like someone and I don't approve of the way that they conduct themselves in public, I'm not going to pick a fight with them, you know, I'm not going to talk down to them in front of people, they have a right to live in whatever way they want so long as it doesn’t hurt people. The main misconception is that I'm week and dimwitted or the polar opposite of that, that I’m a mega bitch, simply because I am a blond female. It takes five minutes of talking to me to know that I'm neither of those things. I don’t believe a man is a man unless he can stick up for his female friends. And I don’t believe a woman is a woman unless she can do the same. In that specific situation I learned a valuable lesion. I was not going to be wasting any more time on these people.

What can fans look forward to from you in the future as a comedian and as a horror actress?

New material, I'm working on new standup material, honing my old standup material, and I'm hoping to get a good 45 minutes to an hour down. Towards the end of this year I will be going back into producing my own comedy shows at respected venues, I ran a successful show at The Comedy Store. I have a few comedy pilots that are going well. A possible staff writer position and I am shopping around a few horror feature scripts. I have a new mystery/thriller/horror novel that will be finished next year. I’ve begun a nonfiction book about growing up in LaLa land that also covers being an adult here. I’ve been cast in a couple features, one is Jason Miller’s new movie “Unidentified,” and a couple other movies, but until camera roles I’d rather not discuss those. There's always room for more, I’m flexible..
