Singapore Stocks outlook: investors need be cautious

I believe the strong stock rally investors and traders see last week is just a short technical rebound. Fundamentally, Eurozone debt crisis does not seem resolved. Hu An cable stock rises by another 13.9% today to close the session at $0.18! This is a meteoric rise in stock price for Hu An whose stock price has fluctuate greatly over the past few months from 21 cents to 9 cents and now back to 18 cents!

I believe in the China story and Hu An cable stock is a stock which I have been accumulating and accumulating.

Singapore Stocks rise after Chinese New Year: Noble Group stock price rises among others

Today is the first trading day after Chinese New Year. To my surprise, the Singapore Stocks STI advanced and rose though there were some concerns coming from the Eurozone. However, I express concern as to whether this upward trend which seems really a stock rally can actually continue on the back of a still uncertain Europe economic situation.
Some investment analysts have predicted that stocks will head south after Chinese new year as in previous years. It really seems very tempting these days to enter the market swiftly and secure a decisive victory, however with the already high ascent of the stock price, I will not rush in to get a slice of the stock market. Warren Buffet has warned that one should be fearful when others are greedy.

Singapore Stock Price after Chinese New Year: After Capricon Effect

Singapore Stocks will trade for only 3 days next week with Monday and Tuesday being public holidays. Yes, there is the rally in stock price for which many investors say the Capricon Effect in Janurary, but likewise an investment analyst has said that often, after Chinese New Year, the Singapore Stock Market should go down. Let see whether it is true. For me, as I think that the recent stock market has gone up quite significantly, it may be time for Singapore stock to close a little bit lower next week.

Noble Group stock price

Noble Group stock price experience a good rally on Friday, surging to close at $1.28, 7 cents more than its opening price. I have been trading Noble Group recently and this huge gain in Noble Group stock price has caught me surprised. I sold Noble Group at $1.20 after buying the stock at $1.135 hence I do feel a that I should hold the stock longer.

Anyway, from my own experience, when it comes to investing and trading, an investor should not be greedy as the stock market is really dynamic!

Hu An cable stock: worth a BUY

In recent days, Hu An cable stock has been on a convincing uptrend from as low as 8 cents to 14 cents yesterday! If you are a regular reader of my blog, you would have known by now that I have been recommending Hu An cable stock though just a month or so, its stock price has been going down too from 21 cents to 13 cents within one day and there were also days when Hu An cable stock price has gone down for no obvious reasons.

It is due to the above circumstances that I have not been accumulating Hu An cable stock aggressively when Hu An cable stock price reached a low of 8 to 9 cents. After all, Hu An cable stock is a S-chip stock and like many investors, I do not have a good feeling towards S-chip stocks especially when a good stock like Hu An cable has its stock price going south that much within a single day.

However, I am adamant still on Hu An cable stock and I believe it is a matter of time that Hu An cable stock price will go up to 33 cents.

Singapore Stock Market in Year 2012: 1st trading day

The first trading day of Year 2012 marks an auspicious start for the trading year as the Singapore Stocks Index (STI) rallied a strong 1.7% rebound to close the trading session close to 2,700. Today’s Singapore Stocks performance is a good sign for the year to come amidst the US, Europe economic worries.
However, I feel that the uptrend is possible as investors and traders are now in joyous mood now that the Chinese New Year is coming. I believe the European debt crisis will continue to weigh on the US, Europe and regional stock markets. Singapore Stock markets will be affected too.

San Teh Stock: giving 30 cents dividend per stock while trading at 60 cents! 50% Dividend Yield: Best Dividend Yield stock!

These few days, investors and traders are abuzz with San Teh Stock. San Tech Stock closed at 60 cents on 30 Dec 11 but San Tech stock will be rewarding investors and traders with a good 30 cents per share dividend which works out to 50% Dividend Yield!
To me, this is too good to be true! But I will not be like any other investors jumping into the bandwagon to buy San Teh stock as who knows the stock may go dow 30 cents after XD. Like Warrant Buffet has always said, we must only invest in something we understand.

Which STI level to enter the stock market and buy stocks for 2012?

Many investors and traders are predicting that the Singapore Stock Markets will further go south this year 2012, hence many people are wondering what would be a good time to buy stocks. When would the bottom of the STI be? According to my research, the bottom is anyone's guess.
However, I find that the decline of the STI will be two-pronged. The first bottom will be at the 2300 level. If this level cannot be sustained by the stocks, the stocks will further go south to 1800 level. I believe the STI will be at 2,100 at Dec 12.

Well, only time (exactly a year from now) will tell whether my predictions for the STI are correct. So let us watch and welcome the unfolding of yet another exciting year of the Singapore Stocks Market.

Net Income and not total income is what is most important in growing your Financial Wealth

In the coming year, I am going to focus on growing my Net Income. A lot of people have the misconception that real income matters. But there are so many cases that shows that the more one earns, the more he or she will spend, hence the real savings that this person have may be equivalent to one who earns less but saves a lot.

Though I keep a diligent worked-out excel financial spreadsheet, I do not have a row on net income. In the coming year, I am going to monitor my net income and hope that my net income will grow.

Readers, in the coming year you may want to consider tracking and growing your net income especially so when the global economy may not be too good from all the economic fallouts of Europe and US.

Singapore Stocks blog: a new Direction

Dear readers, how have you been? Thank You for supporting my Singapore Stocks blog! These few days, I have not been blogging as regularly but I have not totally forgotten about this blog and forgotten about you, readers!

Very soon, another year will come. This year, the Singapore Stocks market performed below what many people and analysts have expected. At this time of writing, there is nothing constructive coming out from the Eurozone debt crisis and the US economic condition is not robust. It does not take a rocket scientist to predict and forecast that next year, the economy markets globally will not be very robust.

Thank You for supporting my blog! As you have read, I am no investment or stock genius, like many ordinary investors, I am not doing well in some of my stock portfolio. If you read my blog to learn how to predict and forecast and earn a big bucks in the stock markets, this is not the blog for you, there are many other good blogs out there for you.

Rather, my stock blog is more about my investment and trading journey which will hopefully bring me to Financial Freedom one day! Financial Freedom is possible but it takes time as well as effort. In my blog, I will share with you some insights on the stocks market, my mistakes made in investment and trading which should serve as a good valuable lesson for you not to repeat and in the coming year, I am going to set my Singapore Stocks blog in a brand new direction which I will explain as follows.

Instead of just focusing only on Stocks, I am going to expand my Singapore Stocks blog to cover a whole spectrum of financial management and good practices including thoughts and money management, growing your own money and how to achieve financial stability and even financial freedom.

Analysts are predicting that Hutchison Port Holdings Trust will be rewarding its investors with a 6 US cent per share in the coming year; this works out to a dividend yield of about 10%.

Hutchison Port Holdings Trust stock is currently trading at a stock price of $0.595 to $0.615 per share, hence this stock price looks attractive to investors when they think about the 10% dividend yield.

Which Good Stocks to buy in year 2012

One or two days ago, the Straits Time carried an article featuring investment analysts’ views of the stock market scene next year and their predictions on which good stocks to buy in year 2012. As I read the article, a common theme ran through my mind: good blue-chip stocks like Keppel, Sembcorp Marine; commodities stocks like Wilmar, Olam, Golden Agriculture and Noble; REITs and telecommunications.

I find that it does not take an analyst to issue call on which stocks to buy. A clarion call for all investors and traders is to stay invested in blue-chip stocks and buy when the stock market is at a right condition for good investment.

And that means to buy when the stock market is at its most favourite that is when stock prices are at a good discount. Judging on how the STI performance trended in recent months and the economic developments in Europe and US, I think stocks may not be as strong in year 2012. It always pays to be observant before acting.

Christmas rally in Singapore Stocks to start today as Singapore Stocks rise 2.2% today

On the back of good economic news emanating from US and Europe today, Singapore Stocks closed 2.2% higher today at 2672. This brings cheers to investors and traders in Singapore who look at their stock screens with disappointment most of the times these months and hope for a better stock trading day soon.

Every time, when it comes to December, a lot of investors and traders anticipate that there will be a Christmas rally which will push stock prices higher and close the year on a good footing. I believe with today’s strong rally in Singapore Stock prices, the Christmas rally may be here now and for the next two weeks, we may see good performance for stocks, especially blue chip stocks as well as good stocks with strong fundamentals which are nevertheless got pared down in these recent months.

Hu An cable stock down by 6.7% to close off at $0.097

Hu An cable stock closed by 6.7% down today to close off this trading day at $0.097! Again, there are no company news that caused this stock to decrease yet again by a significant notch!
My confidence in Hu An cable stock becomes lesser and lesser as the stock price headed south by no apparent reasons. I believe it is only soon that Hu An Cable stock may be halted in trading if such stock price movement is to repeat.

I bought Hu An cable stock at 20 cents plus and now it is worth 9.7 cents, hence you may know just how much financial challenges I have incurred. No worry, I do not professs to be a genius in stock trading. Even a guru will experience not so good trades. The most important thing is to learn from all of these and emerge a stronger and more successful trader and investor!

Hu An cable stock price down by 15.6%

Hu An cable stock price was down by 15.6% as it closed at $0.103 from a previous close of $0.122. This was the second instance whereby Hu An cable stock was down by so large a percentage in recent days. I checked to see whether there is any news which may have caused this price to be as such but I found none.

On 23 Nov 11, Hu An cable stock price was down 20.6%! This prompted an enquiry from SGX to Hu An cable company on the following day for which Hu An cable stock said it was not really aware of the reason.
I am quite heavily vested in Hu An cable stock as I believe it is a good company with strong fundamentals whose business in electricity will only increase with the increasing demand from China. Recently, Hu An cable has also a buy call from investor analyst companies like Phillip Securities. Also recently, Hu An cables bagged RMB154.9 million worth of contracts from China's largest power transmission and distribution company, State Grid Corporation of China.

The price movement yesterday and on the 23th Nov without apparent reasons makes me have some doubts as to the sustainability of Hu An cable as a strong stock. I am not sure whether Hu An cable stock price will further head south. Or will Hu An cable stock company be delisted soon?

Hu An cable stock used to be my successful trading play but now I have to think twice.
