Extremely Hot weather

Hougang By Election: win or lose, why the Workers' Party may still Win

With Mr Yaw Shin Leong not appealing against his expulsion from The Workers' Party, the By-Election in Hougang looks set to be called.

I believe the government will, no surprise, field in yet another scholar once again for this By-Election: Desmond Choo, a police scholar who contested in Hougang in the General Election last year is a most likely candidate for the By-Election. Another scholar mooted is Ong Ye Kung.

The role of Internet in the Online Sex Scandal and Alleged Corruption of SCDF and CNB

As I flipped over MyPaper this morning, I was not surprised to read the continuing report of the article on the busting of the online sex syndicate and the profile of the client involved. Since the start of the report, the media spotlight and public scrutiny has been trained on that particular principal of this incident and by now whose name may have been revealed through some detailed searches online now.

I am even more surprised that the article in Mypaper mentioned that there was another senior public official, allegedly from the Home Team who may also be involved as a client of the syndicate. The same article further surprises me as it mentions that a famous personality from a reputable or well-known family who is involved in advocating some civil movements may also be involved as a client of the syndicate.

After some weeks, I am surprised that the identity of the IT woman executive allegedly to be behind the Peter Lim Sin Pang and Ng Boon Gay incident has not been revealed online though a pixellated photo of an alleged woman could be found online. Before the media releases the photo of the IT executive woman behind the SCDF and CNB corruption case and the photos of the high profile principal, senior public officials, famous personality and others, I believe netizens will be busy hard at work these days, trawling through Google, Yahoo, MSN, Facebook, Twitter for any digital trace which may give some clues to the revelation of the identities of these personalities behind these two recent cases involving senior public officials and government scholars.

Nobody wants to be in the shoes of Peter Lim Sin Pang, Ng Boon Gay, the principal, the senior public officials and the rich and famous involved in these two recent incidents, but every Singaporean is curious enough to find out who these Singaporeans are. That basic and primate needs of curiosity manifest into hours of searches online by netizens for the names of those involved.

Very coincidentally, the two cases relate to IT: in the case of the alleged corruption of SCDF and CNB, the cases involves around the tendering procedure related to IT in the two government statutory boards. In the latter case of the online sex scandal, it is IT on which the online sex scandal thrives. However in both these two cases, it is IT for which netizens leverage to find out more about the people behind the two cases!

I think this is not Kaypoh-ism but curiosity. With just the click of a mouse, the typing of a phrase in the search bar of Google, technology gives Singapore netizens a good reason to be curious.

I believe Yaw Shin Leong should really come out and tell Singaporeans whether he really has an affair with a fellow party colleague. The resignation of Yaw Shin Leong seems to fuel public's speculation that Yaw did really have an affair. If Yaw does not have an affair, he should really tell Singaporeans so.

Principal in online sex scandal

I read from the newspapers that the principal involved in the online sex scandal or online sex trade resigned as a primary school teacher in Dec 2011 and is famous in Singapore sporting fraternity. Though the media has not released the name of the principal involved in the online sex trade, a forumer has suggested who this prinicipal may be from thread 35 on this post on Sammyboy. More reading and photos in this webpage. However, as responsible Singaporeans, let us wait for the actual identity of the prinicipal to be published by the Straits Times before jumping to conclusion. But my question is why are the forumers in the webpages I have referenced in this blog post of mine sound so convicing?

Singapore Budget 2012 or Review of Singapore Civil Service: which one is more important?

Singapore Budget 2012 will be delivered by Finance Minister next week; however I find that budget 2012 will be overshadowed by the slew of unprofessional cases in Singapore Civil Service till I thought that the government should examine and review what is going on or wrong in Singapore Civil Servants first as it is more important than the budget (the budget will be executed by civil servants hence it is good to reassure the public of the integrity of Singapore Civil Service which in recent weeks have been giving Singaporeans news like those of Lim Sin Pang, Ng Boon Gay, more teachers having sex with students and an online vice syndicate alleged to be run by a school prinicipal and other civil servants.

Recently, I feel that age has really caught up with me. Though I am still young, I feel I have a body ten years older than my biological age. Despite coffee and sleeping early, I feel lethargic and tired. I do sports like running and carrying free weights, trying to do so regularly, but even these do not prevent my body from sagging and ageing.

Today, I reluctantly woke up to set off for work. Today is the third day of Chinese New Year and time indeed flies: the first two days of Chinese New Year 2012 have since elapsed us. These men are the top brass, top scholars of our civil service and our civil service is renowned for its clean record (i.e. little corruption record).
