At the time of accident, he instructed 2 workers, one of which was the deceased to help out of lifting a timber formwork using a mobile crane. During the lifting process, the wire rope used gave way. The formwork fell about 9 metres and hit one of the workers.

He was performing gas cutting works using an Oxy-Acetylene gas cutting torch in the factory and within the same area, drums were being pressed for disposal. During the cutting works, a flash fire broke out and the worker suffered extensive burns, and died 10 days later in the hospital.

Mosquitoe Breeding Notice at Construction Site

The heavier penalties will be imposed on cyclists and retailers which fine impose will be doubled.

Current fines stand from a range of S$ 50 to S$ 200, while under the new regulations, fine will be raised S$ 100 to S$ 500.

The affected stalls were at Tanglin Halt, Holland Drive and Ghim Moh Road and the theft is said to have occurred between August 12 and September 6.

Between June and July this year, police received several complaints that a Facebook user, by the name of "Nicole Tay", allegedly cheated at least 16 men of more than S$10,000.

Fifty-seven-year-old Gwee Teck Hee, the sole proprietor of Kao Hong Contractor, allegedly offered an unspecified sum of money to Sergeant Mohammad Sufyan Mohd Safie on June 12.

The incident happened at a housing block in Yishun. 

Police said on August 30, the 76-year-old victim was in a lift with a man when he snatched her gold chain and fled.  

The suspect was spotted at the void deck of a block at Yishun Street 21 a week later.

Fifty-three-year-old Ng Chee Boon, who used to be a maintenance supervisor at SCORE allegedly sold bottles of medicated oil to five different inmates at Changi Prison Complex-
