Open Mic Next Week

I just spoke to LittleBigMan, the singer/songwriter. He is one of my friends on my Myspace.com page. I'm going to tag along with him next week to an open mic evening and sing a couple of my songs, alone with my acoustic guitar.

It'll be either Wednesday or Thursday, in Watford or Berkhamsted.

New Music on the Site

It's hard to fit in, but I'm using every spare minute to work on my original music.
I'll be taking to the studio with the friendly and fantastic producer Ed Poole in the next weeks to record a few songs. I've already put the demos on the web for you to listen.

I'm also experimenting with my voice-over clips. Have a listen, and have fun with the "character" clips.

The Acoustic Set Last Weekend

Everyone was in splendid form and the audience was singing along.
This gig's Icelandic version of a song was "Scoobie Doo" and after that there were strong requests for "Postman Pat". The world is a funny and wonderful place.

Happy new year!

I have finished my last concert of Musical Classics.
The last venue was a lovely and spacious theatre in Paderborn, Germany.
The theatre was packet and the Germans gave a standing ovation.

Then I had a lovely -and well-deserved- celebration with my lovely wife at Paderborn's finest 5 star hotel. The Germans seem to know the meaning of the word celebration, as they could be seen carrying bags of fireworks home on the day; In the evening we enjoyed the beautiful display from the roof of the hotel. Every single home firing up cascades of multicoloured rockets and cakes.

What a lovely end to a short concert tour.

I had the chance to work with lovely talents, including the Hungarian singer/songwriter Éliás Gyula jr.

He is a very talented vocalist who -amongst other things- does a wicked Gethsemane.
My very best wishes to you Éliás, keep in touch.

To everyone, thanks for a good tour. We got through a hectic work schedule and long journeys with dignity and professionalism.

Ég hef ákveðið að hverfa aftur til upphafsins. Þá er ég ekki að tala um að verða að okfrumu, heldur ætla ég og tveir vinir að spila á öldurhúsi hér í þorpinu, vinum og öðrum að leik. Meðal annars er þar um að ræða Davíð Ásgeirsson, flugmannin (væntanlega) frækna, sem er einnig flinkur píanóleikari.

Á efnisskránni verða lög eftir Bowie, Cat Stevens, Robbie Williams og Keane; sem sagt blús og dægurlög af ýmsum toga.

I just signed the contract for my gig in Germany, so here it is:

I will be performing "Musical Classics" with 5 other West End soloists, a 16 piece orchestra and a chorus, in Germany on December 29, 30, and 31 2005.

Damn, time flies when you're having fun!

Anyway, for friends and fans in Europe, I'm giving you a little nugget of information that might come in handy. It looks like I'll be doing a concert in Frankfurt around December 28-31 this year. The setup is me and 4 other solo singers from the West End along with a full chorus and a 16 piece orchestra. We'll be performing musical theatre classics.
