COMPANY LAW SETTLEMENT SCHEME

ATTENTION ALL DEFAULTING COMPANIES REGISTERED UNDER THE COMPANY'S ACT IN INDIA.

The Ministry of Corporate Affairs has come out with a Company Law Settlement Scheme and an Easy Exit Scheme for all such companies which have defaulted in regulatory compliance. This scheme has extremely attractive terms for all defaulting companies with the burden of Additional Fees being brought down to only 25 % of actual additional fees payable on default. This scheme also assures immunity from prosecution and an easy exit scheme for companies interested in winding up operations.

Gratuity can now be as high as INR 10 Laks

In a recent amendment , reported in the Gazette of India on 18th may 2010. The limit of Gratuity as prescribed u/s 4 of the Payment of Gratuity Act,1972 has been increased from Rs. 3.50 Lakhs to Rs. 10.00 Lakhs
So those banking on your gratuity for a major financial expenses can re plan, redesign and rethink their financial planning.

Careful while making Correction on Cheques

The RBI has clarified that no cheques with correction on
(a) the amount
(b) the payee name
shall be honoured by banks.
So be careful , before making or accepting a cheque with a correction , try and insisit for a new cheque.

Now that the Finance Bill has been through the Parliament House , we await the President's accent to make it a Law. There have been some changes in the taxation and allied laws , ranging from changes in Taxation Slab Rates to Policy Changes.
