<description>Mitcham and Morden MP Siobhain McDonagh, has written to the Sports Minister asking him to intervene with the Football Association after her local club was "unfairly" docked points and thrown out of the FA Trophy. AFC Wimbledon, which was created by fans after the football authorities permitted Wimbledon to move to Milton Keynes, has endured a "disproportionate" punishment following a minor administrative error, according to the MP.</description>

<description>Mitcham and Morden MP Siobhain McDonagh has welcomed the reduction in the punishment for AFC Wimbledon. The club's penalty for fielding an ineligible player has been cut from 18 points to 3 points, following an FA independent inquiry, which met after Siobhain had tabled a parliamentary motion which has now been signed by 86 MPs and has been backed by the Prime Minister.</description>
